Silksong is anti-fun but awesome. It is an amazing game ruined by flawed attempts to create challenge. There are so many great things to say about Silksong, including the art, level design, music and gameplay mechanics. However, the game was not fun because of the unnecessary difficulty mechanics which amounted to poor game design: - When fighting a boss, having to traverse halfway across the map after every death - Currency tied to deaths, meaning I couldn't afford fun upgrades - boss gauntlets consisting of mobs of non interesting enemies lacked innovation - To be able to heal, the game forces me to repeatedly fight the uninteresting enemies to gain silk, creating tedious repetition I like challenge, but Silksong's mechanics were annoying and not satisfying. Yet I cannot deny that it is a brilliant game.

This game is amazing however I had a poor experience playing it. I restarted the game when I realised that playing as Shadowheart blocked out her voice acting. Then was unable to progress the story due to being under levelled. The game presents itself as welcoming different decisions, however I felt that the game punished me depending on the choices I made. Narratively, I loved Act 1 and 2, however Act 3 was not interesting. Overall it was a messy experience and I stopped playing, even though I liked the game.

This game is special. By every metric, this game is a masterpiece. I particularly enjoyed the artwork and character design. The voice actors did a great job and the battle system was addicting. Well done!

I cannot believe how good Balatro is. I only played this game because it was nominated for Game of the Year and I did not expect to enjoy it so much. I have never played poker, so the core mechanics were new to me. However, I feel that Balatro plays are genius. This game was clearly created with passion.

I played the game for 10 hours and then couldn't finish it. The style and concepts in the game were cool but it tried so hard to be abstract that the story dissolved away. The level design and problem solving were good but the gun play and survival elements were mediocre. Overall, Alan Wake 2 was a game that I wanted like but just didn't enjoy playing.

This game is excellent. The character and level design, boss mechanics, sword and gun gameplay, voice acting and music are all awesome.

Truly a masterpiece. This game has everything, a gripping storyline, a well written script, excellent voice acting, great map design, exciting battle system, stimulating boss mechanics, superb graphics, gameplay variety, challenge. It's just amazing really. I personally love what Square Enix have done in remaking FFVII, and I welcome the story changes.

Final fantasy 16 is an amazing game but an obvious flaws prevent it from being a masterpiece. The good; incredible storyline and script, great voice acting, well done character design, fun battle system, engaging boss mechanics, innovative gameplay with the eikon abilities and epic eikon controlled fights, the soundtrack. I believe this is what Square Enix were aiming for, and they have achieved that. The main focus of the game excels. The bad; invisible walls... a game of this calibre with such impressive map designs shouldn't have so many invisible walls. Chocobo gameplay is fun but under utilised, a Chocobo racing or side quest relying on chocobo battle would have been fun. Adding mini games would have made FFXVI feel less monotonous. Having Torgal was awesome, however his role is limited, I feel that stronger attacks with a cool down and skill tree to progress his abilities would have been achievable and could have added a lot. Side quests and map exploration add good world building but the rewards are pointless so there is no incentive. The gearing and items feel lackluster and there is an illusion of crafting. Therefore, giving meaning to the in game currency, weapons and items would improve the game significantly. The game is too easy, and a harder difficulty should have been available for those who do not have the spare time to commit to a new game plus. The level system seems to be irrelevant to gameplay, as low level enemies appear to receive and deal the same amount of damage as higher level enemies. The story is strong in the first half but later in the game it falls down, I feel that removing at least 10 hours from the second half would have improved the game as it began to feel like a chore.

This game is technically amazing in many ways. The game play, boss mechanics, map design, enemy variability and graphics are all excellent. The escort missions with Ashley make this game stand out from other Resident Evil games and give it a unique style of play. However, I did not find Resident Evil 4 scary and the storyline was forgetful.

Every Harry Potter fans dream game to play! I feel immersed in the wizarding world.

A must play for any FFVII fan! The battle system is fun, Materia fusion is great, voice acting brilliant. The best part of the game is the protagonist Zack Fair!

A must play of 2022! The game improves on its predecessor in every way. The narrative, character development and script were excellent.

Episode INTERmission was perfection! The new storyline, script, mini games, characters, upgraded battle system and boss battles were excellently executed. Well done!

An enjoyable action RPG. The good aspects of the game include its artwork, character design, music, action-RPG combat system, the spells, Einherjar, boss battles and UI. However, while the levels looked cool, it began to feel repetitive fighting similar small enemies, the levels could have benefitted from more puzzles, mini bosses and NPC interaction. I liked the storyline however it could have been enhanced with depth.

The music, characters, storyline, locations, dungeons are all excellent. A truly memorable final fantasy game.

Life is Strange: True Colors was a touching experience. The storyline, script and voice acting excelled the game. I thoroughly enjoyed the decision based aspect and the way the game explored on emotions. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a deeper gaming experience.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is out standing. It's gameplay is fun and exciting. New York city is fun to explore with some great side quests and the main storyline has an excellent script and characters.

I really enjoyed this strategy game, each battle was well thought out. The effort that has gone into the script and voice acting is huge. The characters were so likable. It's amazing that this game can be played in so many different ways due to the variety of paths which can be taken. My only criticism is that the monastery becomes repetitive towards the end.

Resident Evil Village is excellent during the beginning and middle but then becomes mediocre towards the end. The concept of the village and fleeing to survive was thrilling and I enjoyed the castle chapter however the game lost its spark from the factory onwards. It was a great idea to work in crafting, but it didn’t feel satisfying. Overall a good game.

Overcooked 2 is best played in coop mode and is so much fun to play through with a friend.

This game is a though provoking and cool game. I love it's art style, characters, music and storyline. However, I personally found that the battle system lacked depth.

I really enjoy playing this game, it's refreshing to play a fun extreme sports game. It has variety through snowboarding, cycling and wingsuiting and it's soundtrack is great.

An excellent game which is fun and adventurous. I enjoyed the gameplay mechanics and level design. However, I found the story line too political at points and I didn't find Aloy likeable.

The storyline, script and characters make this game amazing. The battle system is fun and level design is great. It feels like you are playing through a Guardians of the galaxy movie!

Excellent gameplay with satisfying mechanics and well thought out boss fights. The job system creates great variety and the level nostalgia for a final fantasy fan was nice. The loot system is not good and I would have enjoyed more character dialogue/ back story.

A masterpiece and absolute must play. The storyline, character development, voice acting, dungeon and raid design, level design are all outstanding. This expansion demonstrates that long time fans of final fantasy should not overlook XIV because it is an MMO, it is outstanding.

Overall an enjoyable, fun game. I liked the outer space and scientific style. The story telling, voice acting and companions were good. The criticisms include inventory management, picking up so many weapons that they lose their charm and the well designed companions all being converted to ugly robot looking people in order to gain the armour stats.

This battle royale game is incredible! They have perfected the multiplayer first person shoot 'em up with Apex Legends. It is super addictive. It is great how much effort the developers put in to this ever progressing and changing game!

The gameplay is brilliant, it is so satisfying the play this game to a higher level. The fighting mechanics are so well done. However, the campaign mode is boring. If you are looking for an esport then this game is perfect.

The refined gameplay is excellent and the voice acting/ cutscenes were great! I think this game is really well made, however some of the story is a little too dark/ depressing.

An interesting game however I have mixed feelings about this... The good; likeable protagonist, interesting concepts, puzzle orientated gameplay, can use any object in the map for battle, the real life acted videos The bad; the enemies and levels can be a little dull, lacks interesting boss battles, the mini map isn’t helpful in directing you. I’m not sure if the story is genius or in trying hard to be mysterious becomes messy.

This is a fun game, the battle system is great and I love how they have incorporated the ‘breath of the wild’ style into Hyrule Warriors. The strength in the gameplay comes from the range of characters which you can choose from. The added story is great and the game is a must play for Zelda fans. However, the gameplay can become repetitive and the divine beast levels are poor despite adding variety to gameplay.

This is an excellent game. The gameplay is refined and the campaign flows well. Jill is well voice acted and her character design is great. The nemesis was the highlight of the game and the chase sequences are well made. My only criticism is that the game is short and feels more like outstanding DLC than a substantial game.

This game was an unexpected masterpiece! The storyline hits home with its take on mental health an the main character is adorable. The gameplay mechanics and level design make for outstanding gameplay that is both challenging and satisfying. A must play for all gamers!

I love this game! The turn based battle system is perfection. The boost system is really fun and I enjoyed the depth and strategy required to defeat each unique boss battle. It was a pleasure to discover each characters storyline and the music was fantastic.

I am new to Zenoblade Chronicles and I loved this game. The battle system, boss fights, character development, voice acting, cut scenes, and overall story were brilliant. Anyone who enjoys RPGs should play this game.

The story seemed really cool but I just couldn’t keep playing it... I tried several times but eventually gave up.

The storyline, voice acting and fun battle system made this game a pleasure to play. The bond between the characters and emotional ending was great. Well done.

Enjoyed every second of the game, my favourite PS4 game. The battle system was fun, combining fast paced action with strategy. The story line was brilliant. I can’t wait for part 2.
