If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

Un juego muy brillante y especial debido a la ambientación brutal que tiene, me ha encantado explorar con el gatito diversidad de obstáculos, conocer a los distintos robots, así como la historia del entorno que nos rodea, una historia sencilla pero bien ejecutada, lo único por lo que no le subo la nota es porque al final la jugabilidad es muy limitada ( lógico, ya que controlamos a un gato sin más ) pero es un juego barato, relajante y muy divertido de completar, totalmente recomendable.

Nothing interesting, very boring gameplay, very little to do. I only give it a 1 cuz i love cats, anything else about the game is pure trash.

Stray doesn’t just deliver on the promise of traversing a detailed cyberpunk city as a cat, it’s also an exciting and varied experience packed with memorable characters and rewarding exploration. While the story itself might not be super special, the city and its characters will stay with you for a long time.

Je m’attendais à un petit jeu indé sympa pour passer le temps… et au final, Stray m’a mis une claque monumentale. Clairement un des meilleurs jeux indé auxquels j’ai joué. La direction artistique est absolument fantastique. Au début, j’avoue que j’ai eu un peu de mal avec les graphismes, mais plus on avance, plus les décors deviennent magnifiques. L’ambiance cyberpunk est ultra immersive, avec des environnements qui racontent presque une histoire à eux seuls. Justement, l’histoire est un énorme point fort : prenante, originale et touchante sans en faire trop. On s’attache vite, et on a vraiment envie d’aller jusqu’au bout. Autre chose que j’ai adoré : le jeu ne devient jamais répétitif. Et ça, honnêtement, c’est un exploit que même certains AAA actuels n’arrivent plus à accomplir. Chaque moment apporte quelque chose de nouveau. Et petit bonus qui fait plaisir : le jeu a été développé par BlueTwelve Studio, un studio français basé à Montpellier . Franchement, ça fait plaisir de voir un studio français proposer une expérience de ce niveau et rayonner à l’international. Bref, une expérience marquante du début à la fin. Un énorme 10/10 sans hésitation. J’espère vraiment qu’un Stray 2 ou un autre jeu du même style verra le jour un jour.

Stray is not just a cat walking simulator, but a well-balanced adventure that turned out to be another winning bet for Annapurna Interactive. The merit of the success is to be attributed to Bluetwelve Studio, whose love for cats has allowed the French developers to create a very refined game in many respects. If you love cats and animals, don't miss Stray or you may regret it.

Stray is a small pearl, an adventure that delivers truly suggestive sequences and a fascinating story, which rests on the solid foundations of a very well written lore. Of course, just like a stray cat the game happens to get scared for every little jolt, so the team created a comfortable bubble giving up to fully express its potential.

Unfortunately, the life span of Stray is limited to the number of lives the cats can have. Indeed, we finished the game at 100% in a little less than 9 hours. We estimate that 7 hours will be more than enough to finish the main plot of the game, or even 10 hours for players who will take their time to contemplate each painting offered by the game. In a way, Stray's rather affordable price is in line with its lifespan. The more skilled players may even take less time to finish the game, so it's quite a shame. Stray is a fabulous title that offers a refreshing environment, a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and meticulous exploration that makes you want more, but our beautiful journey ends when we clearly want more.

There's some game in this spam"x" simulator, the visuals are good but it isnt anything new is just the average cyberpunk or however you want to call it theme, the gameplay is nothing, just spam x and move, you don't even feel like if you were controlling a cat. Is insane how such a mediocre game got praised just because of a cat... 3/10 really bad game.

While Stray gets points for decent environmental storytelling, beautiful graphics and some touching moments,I believe it comes up short in many ways from a gameplay perspective. First and foremost, the platforming is limiting and not fluid at all. It is context sensitive and many areas look like they should be traversable when they actually aren't. The stealth sections are annoying and tedious. The puzzles are basic, dull and not rewarding. Most of the gameplay boils down to talk to this robot, get him/her/it something from another robot then proceed. Stray succeeds as a piece of visual art but fails as a game in almost every aspect
