Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is as excellent as it is scary, and it is very scary. Take it from someone who doesn't scare easily - Capcom pushed the boat out on making this one pure paranoia fuel...While the zombies can sometimes be annoying, the overall experience is just as good as Resident Evil 2, which was already amazing, and adds more tension. Also, the new Jill Valentine is just too darn likable.

I went into Resident Evil 3 knowing it had a rough reputation, especially coming off the incredible Resident Evil 2, and honestly… I liked it a lot more than I expected. Yeah, it’s short — you can beat it in a long afternoon — but because of that, it feels super tight and constantly moving. You’re never far from a cool set piece or boss fight. Since I never played the original, the cut content didn’t bother me, and I think that helped me enjoy this for what it is instead of what it’s missing. I also really liked the balance between Jill and Carlos. Jill’s sections lean into that classic survival horror tension, while Carlos’ parts — especially the hospital defense — feel more like a straight-up third-person shooter. Jill herself is great here too: a total badass with just enough campy one-liners to keep that classic Resident Evil charm. The story also does a nice job tying into RE2, filling in some gaps and making Raccoon City feel more connected. Nemesis isn’t quite as dynamic or unpredictable as Mr. X, and the dodge mechanic can feel a little off at times, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had here. It’s not peak Resident Evil by any means, but it’s a polished, fast-paced ride with some really memorable moments. Just maybe don’t pay $40 for it in 2026.

It is a very good game but a mid remake; the game is very short, Much of the content from the original game is missing from the remake, It looks like the game was rushed a bit but still has a very good gameplay and a good story. graphics are also beautiful.

Resident Evil 3 proves that Resident Evil 2 wasn’t just a one-off success of a remake and shows that Capcom has a winning formula on its hands.

On its own, the remake of Resident Evil 3 is another hallmark achievement for Capcom. It may not satisfy purists of the original, but there’s no reason that fans of what the RE2 remake accomplished won’t enjoy this.

I would absolutely recommend Resident Evil 3 and would not be surprised if a sizable portion of the fandom ends up preferring this remake.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is slightly disappointing after the stellar Resident Evil 2 Remake. It's still a good game, but its short length and lack of ambition mean that it will constantly be seen as the lesser sibling. The addition of the REsistance online mode should add some value for those who enjoy competitive online play, but the lack of single-player options is disappointing. All in all, it's a good follow-up to an amazing game, and as long as you're willing to forgive its foibles, RE3 Remake should be a fun return to Raccoon City for franchise faithfuls.

With Resident Evil 3, Capcom again succeeds in delivering a game that, as a remake, is nearly flawless. The problem is that the original game it is based on was never so great in the first place. And while there’s some fun to be had with multiplayer component, it’s not clear what Capcom’s main focus was for the package as a whole.

As a remake, Resident Evil 3 not only falls short of honoring its source, but it also doesn't quite stick the landing as a standalone horror experience. Even without taking into account the original game, or its predecessor, RE3 struggles to keep up with its pace amid a clashing of elements from survival horror and standard action. While it has a strong start and gives its principal villain some great moments, this truncated retelling of the concluding game from the original Resident Evil trilogy doesn't do it proper justice.

C’est un très bon opus certes un peu en dessous du 2 en terme de contenue mais ça reste quand même un classique ou je prends plaisir à y rejouer Platine le jeu est en revanche beaucoup plus dur que les autres titres de la saga

(completed in less than 5 hours...) It follows the gameplay of the 2R, but adding a dodge, pretty weird to use but its here, so a little bit more dynamic than the previous opus, but still bad gameplay against boss/big ennemies. About story/scenario/character wise, i find it weaker, less interesting. The game is also more linear, the sound design more bad (or too different, why change ?), it should have been an extension, and not a full game,
