Assassin’s Creed Odyssey remains a testament to how well a game can age, as the setting is still breathtaking and the visuals hold up incredibly well even years after release. The game creates a truly immersive atmosphere, and from a gameplay perspective, it remains a solid, enjoyable RPG experience, even if it might not quite reach the heights of the absolute best entries in the series. However, the game does have its shortcomings, particularly regarding the side quests, which often feel trivial and lack the depth that previous installments managed to provide. Perhaps the biggest hurdle for me personally was the lack of a strong emotional connection to Kassandra and Alexios; I simply didn't feel as invested in their journey compared to some of the more iconic protagonists from other chapters in the franchise.

Crimson Desert is a bit of a mixed bag for me, especially as someone who chooses consoles specifically for the "plug-and-play" experience. It was frustrating to immediately have to spend time tweaking various graphical settings just to get the game running comfortably on PS5; that’s exactly the kind of tinkering I try to avoid by not playing on PC. The beginning of the game is also quite a struggle, as you are bombarded with a multitude of empty, filler-like quests and side activities that lack any real narrative motivation or connection to the protagonist. When it comes to the gameplay systems, the game suffers from trying to do too much at once. My philosophy has always been that it is better to have a few refined, polished mechanics than to throw a dozen half-baked ones at the player. I also found it disappointing that there is no German voice-over, which would have added a lot to the immersion. That said, I still managed to have fun with the experience overall, as the open world has its charms and the core gameplay mechanics can be enjoyable once you get past the initial clutter.

Despite these flaws, it remains a fantastic and polished experience for any fan.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is a solid experience that definitely kept me hooked, but I can’t help feeling it’s a bit overhyped. On the plus side, the soundscape is absolutely elite, and combined with that unique, twisted story, the atmosphere is on another level. I also really appreciated the puzzle design—they felt fresh and inventive, which is a nice change of pace. However, as a horror fan, I have to disagree with the general consensus: for a survival horror title, the actual "scare moments" were surprisingly thin, and the enemy variety felt way too repetitive for a modern remake. Plus, dropping full price on a 20-hour title feels a bit steep and disproportionate in the current market. In short, it’s a great game, but it doesn't quite live up to the massive legendary status everyone’s pushing.

It offers so much freedom, and the quests always feel like their own unique stories, most of which are excellently written. It is an extensive game, both in terms of total playtime and the sheer scale of the world. However, in my opinion, the detailed focus on immersion sometimes gets in its own way. Many activities, such as blacksmithing or alchemy, consist of very long mini-games, and it is debatable whether they needed to be quite that tedious. My final point of criticism is the combat system; while the series is known for this complex approach, I personally find it more annoying than enjoyable. Nevertheless, it is a 9 out of 10 for me, and I can definitely recommend this game to any RPG enthusiast.

Consistent with previous titles, the campaign and quests remain secondary, with the sandbox being the true star. ​Despite these minor friction points, Anno 117 is an outstanding achievement in the genre. If you are a fan of city-building or management games, I would absolutely recommend this title.

My biggest disappointment, by far, is the complete lack of any of the excellent DLCs that have made the PC version so robust. For a game that thrives on expansion and complexity, the absence of any post-launch content on the console is a major drawback and a significant missed opportunity.

Someone playing the series for the very first time would likely not award this game a score of 9, primarily due to the significantly outdated graphics and the somewhat superficial historical narrative, which I believe is quite challenging for a new player to fully grasp. Despite these caveats, one fact remains clear and undeniable: anyone who is a fan of the Hack and Slash genre will find immense enjoyment in this game. Despite these pacing issues and moments of limited visual variety, Split Fiction is, without question, a fantastic game. It provides a genuinely thrilling and satisfying cooperative journey, and for anyone who loves playing games with a partner, this is an easy and enthusiastic recommendation.

While the combat isn't the most complex, the compelling narrative and world-building easily make up for any mechanical simplicity. The Witcher 3 is more than just a game; it's an epic journey that continues to set the bar for the RPG genre. If you've never played it, even after all these years, it's absolutely worth diving into.

The game is a solid RPG with charming characters, engaging stories, fun gameplay, and an interesting concept.That being said, the somewhat childlike art style isn’t really my thing and it took me some time getting used to it. However, overall, I had a great time with the game and can definitely recommend it to others.

Shadow of the Erdtree is one of the best and most extensive DLCs I've ever played. It skilfully uses all of Eldenring's strengths and simply transfers them to a new setting. The bosses and the open world are designed to be just as fascinating and adventurous.

This game truly impressed me. It continues the captivating story of the first part beautifully, drawing me even deeper into its world. The characters have grown even closer to my heart, and the quirky, Final Fantasy-typical moments kept me thoroughly entertained.However, I have to deduct some points for the occasionally meaningless and repetitive side quests in the open world. Despite that, it’s an amazing experience that I absolutely loved.
