Wild Hunt is viciously hostile. Hostility infects every element like a poison and unites them with a common sickness.

The conclusion of Geralt’s game saga couldn’t be better. The large open world, great storytelling and dozens of hours of pure fun – this game is an absolute must for every RPG fan. [Issue#253]

This truly outstanding game raises the bar to new heights that will be extremely hard to reach for BioWare, Bethesda and any other developer. [07/2015, p.38]

It's got compelling quests, story and characters, all with excellent presentation, but the gameplay loop and the open world are acutely boring. Exploration feels cumbersome while fighting is generally same throughout, hardly changing with the progression of levels or story. I understand why it's a beloved game by many, but it's hard to call it masterpiece. Perhaps, it would've worked better as a tighter world, a set of smaller locations, and focused experiences.

I attempted to play this expecting the next best game, the truth is there is way too much storytelling going on and most of the gameplay is static frames of charters talking to each other. Its boring world, topics and the gameplay is simple.

The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece, and in many respects simply the best and most exciting game in recent years. It captivates players with artistic vision, a huge world and an epic story. The developers were not looking for cheap applause - game design is uncompromising, consistent, thoughtful and nuanced.

While the combat in this game is not that exciting, it more than makes up for it with its incredible storytelling and narrative. The writing in this game is phenomenal and one of the best I've seen in any video game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is almost perfect. There are a few flaws in the way and the game is not as demanding as it's predecessor, but the tsunami of content that keeps you busy is amazing. The world of the Wild Hunt is so much more than just a pretty picture.

The amount of content we find in The Witcher 3 is outstanding, as is its quality. It is true that there are some aspects with some room for improvement, but it delivers such a rich and unique universe that you will soon forget about them.

Geralt is back and better than ever. A huge, beautiful world filled with adventure and improved combat mechanics makes The Witcher 3 a Game of the Year-contender.

It spends a great deal of its energy trying to impress the audience with unparalleled scope. The result is an experience that succeeds in its mission of being a grand experience, but commonly missteps when it comes to fundamentals such as combat, leveling systems, and user interface design.

Story is great, stunning world, lots of secondary quests who really stand out. The main campaign, however, feels long in a forced way. Enemies and bosses are also really underwhelming, especially on lower difficulties. Combat can be fun with the right sets up but otherwise it's very cluncky and restrictive.

The story is very good but could have been shorter, especialy the first part when looking for Siri. Graphism are nice, even for a 10 years old game. Gameplay is realy boring sadly.

For me personally, it's the most overhyped game ever. Maybe it was objectively a 9/10 or 10/10 in 2015, but certainly not today. I think the combat is one of the worst I've ever seen in a game. It's clunky and repetitive as hell. That good, nice feedback when you hit something like you get in Sekiro, Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei, God of War, etc. just isn't there. Slicing through enemies feels the same as slicing through air. You get nice buffs and everything while using potions and oils, but the bad combat remains the same. 10% more or less damage doesn't make a difference here for me.The game still doesn't look that bad after 11 years, but 90% of the world is made up of the same rural medieval landscapes and villages, so the beautiful views get boring and repetitive very fast. There are also a lot of annoying things that add up. The horse, for example (I know I'm spoiled af): You call him, he's somewhere behind you, you have to stop and turn around, and maybe he's even stuck. You call him again, and if you get on him, it takes a few seconds to get up to speed, and as soon as a little obstacle or a ledge is in your way good luck, you're stuck again. There are a ton of those little things that really drive me crazy. I was also disappointed by the quests and characters. While a few important protagonists like Geralt, Ciri, and Keira were cool, most of the others are so forgettable. The main quest was good, but not good enough to overshadow the abysmal combat. I expected the best story in gaming but was disappointed again. It's like an Ubisoft game, just with a better story and fewer markers on the map. I think this game can still find an audience if someone really loves medieval settings, a lot of quests, and open worlds while combat is one of their last priorities. I know I have only played a bit more than 10 hours and 20% of the game but sadly, it's a no in 2026 for me.

Simply the most overrated game of all times. Awful combat, awful movement, confusing menus... no please. I'll do another dark souls run...
