LEVEL (Czech Republic)
The level design is as imaginative as always and like it's never been before. No one in the world can replicate this. The current title benefits from moving to the Flower Kingdom, where all of the main six hubs and dozens of levels have different rules than in previous games. Got a Switch? Get Super Mario Bros. Wonder. [Issue#331]
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the Mario game we didn’t know we wanted. This long-running series is no stranger to new mechanics and Wonder adds to the list with a completely fresh take while staying true to its roots. Simply put, it’s a joy to play.
I have certainly enjoyed the NSMB games since their inception on Nintendo DS, but I must admit that Wonder had surpassed those games in virtually every way. I felt a sense of whimsy and joy playing Wonder that took me back to the days of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. The game is packed with secrets, filled with challenge, and entertained me for hours. The pacing, the graphics, the controls—this is a masterclass in game desing. Wonder has reconfirmed for any doubters out there that the Mario brand is still brimming with potential for new gameplay ideas. Wonder is an essential game for Switch players that is highly recommended.

It's good game that revitalizes the 2D Mario formula after the repetitive games from the "New" series. The game has a lot of charm visually, has new mechanics, and each level feels unique specially with the wonder flower mechanic. Tho a major problem I have with it is the lackluster bosses and how some worlds literally lack a boss at the end of the world. Overall is a good experience, personally I think it's simply just a "good game", that's why I gave it that score, which doesn't mean I am calling it bad by any means. Idk why Metacritic is like this.

His Mario games were the best if I already know, and the background looks very fantastic that I remember

Super Mario Bros. Wonder will surprise you at every turn and is one of the best 2D Mario games alongside Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3. It's the visual refresh, the exciting new ideas and the polish we've needed for a while. If only there were an adjective to describe it in one word.

One of the best 2D platformers of all time, I 100%ed the whole game. A true return to form for mainline 2D Mario games after a long hiatus.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is surprising, creative and at the same time a worthy, two-dimensional sequel to Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder implements the recent trend of adding adventure elements to the 2D action genre. The Wonder Flowers cause surprising twists and the new multiplayer contributes to making a new 2D Mario adventure feel fresh again. That being said, we would have wanted Super Mario Bros. Wonder to feel even more wondrous.

While it doesn't break the mould like its predecessors have, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the perfect refinement of 2D platforming, and one of the most polished and engrossing games you'll play all year.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder certainly lives up to its name by offering a spectacle-filled and simply magical experience where you never know what sort of clever twist will pop-up next. Plus, it has a surprising level of challenge for anyone wanting to test their platforming skills.

It is a game that tries to evoke a feeling of discovery at every possible turn, but in doing so loses the element of wonder fairly quickly. Instead, Wonder's strongest moments are when it takes a breather, taking the time to set the scene while letting the platforming do the talking.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the first Mario game in years that feels genuinely original (truly a spiritual successor to Yoshi’s Island on the SNES in terms of creative ambition). After years of the New Super Mario Bros. series making the 2D line feel stale and formulaic, this fresh approach was more than welcome. It’s incredibly fun, with a fair difficulty curve that keeps things challenging without ever feeling frustrating. The multiplayer is a blast, the Wonder Flower moments are bursting with brilliant, unexpected ideas, and the variety of playable characters is a welcome touch. A true breath of fresh air for the series.

Good game, way more stylish than the New Super Mario Bros series, but overrated in my opinion.

It's really for kids, even more so than previous 2D SMB games. For anyone over maybe 12, it's too easy, too cute, too pre-school color palette. Hopefully not the new standard for the 2D Mario line. I gave it a 4 because it's not objectively an awful game for everyone, again, kids may enjoy it.
