I cared more for these characters and the world than I ever did in previous Assassin’s Creed games, and I think that’s part of why this reboot is so successful. Playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey left me feeling valiant and triumphant as I worked my way up the cultist food chain, and and I was always excited to see what Kassandra was off to discover next.

If someone had told me couple of years ago that Assassin’s Creed would become a full-fledged action RPG that would not look out of place on a shelf next to The Witcher 3, I would have snickered. But here I am, over 80 hours into Odyssey and still unable to believe that really happened. [12/2018, p.44]

It also commits a few of the same sins: in particular, the deluge of gar drops feels vaguely insulting, conditioning the player to lust after items exclusive to the in-game store. It's lifted, however, by the relative wit and intelligence of its quest design, and the delicate notes of uncertainty and curiosity introduced by Exploration mode. [Christmas 2018, p.108]

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey remains a testament to how well a game can age, as the setting is still breathtaking and the visuals hold up incredibly well even years after release. The game creates a truly immersive atmosphere, and from a gameplay perspective, it remains a solid, enjoyable RPG experience, even if it might not quite reach the heights of the absolute best entries in the series. However, the game does have its shortcomings, particularly regarding the side quests, which often feel trivial and lack the depth that previous installments managed to provide. Perhaps the biggest hurdle for me personally was the lack of a strong emotional connection to Kassandra and Alexios; I simply didn't feel as invested in their journey compared to some of the more iconic protagonists from other chapters in the franchise.

Perfects everything Origins did and enhances them in ways you never thought an Assassin's Creed game could. Odyssey has it all.

So big The Witcher 3 wants a rest. This is an epic told with flair, coupled with one of the liveliest open worlds on PlayStation 4. Odyssey is not just the best Assassin’s Creed in years, but one of the finest action RPGs you’ll play. [Issue#155, p.72]

O jogo tem uma história excelente. Tem mais de 100 horas de jogo e a personagem Kassandra é muito bem desenvolvida

I consider Assassin’s Creed Odyssey one of my all-time favorite games. I still replay it regularly on PS5 Pro, and the experience is always enjoyable. I really like the setting, inspired by Ancient Greece. The world feels rich, lively, and immersive. The story is engaging and keeps you interested from start to finish. It is easy to get invested in the adventure. The game has a huge amount of content, but it does not feel too repetitive. There is always something to do or explore. The side quests are a major highlight. They are well made, interesting, and add a lot to the overall experience.I know this opinion can be controversial, as some people feel that Assassin’s Creed should not be an RPG. I understand that point of view. The franchise is also one of my favorites. Still, I really loved this game. Special mention to the two DLC expansions. They add more quality content and extend the experience in a great way.

The world of Odyssey is the most versatile and fun yet in Assassin's Creed, offering distinctive storytelling, great variety of combat gameplay and exciting exploration.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is big and beautiful. Could it be a much better game? Sure. But it's an amazing adventure with echoes of the Greek classic tales about travels and fantasy.

Fans who arrive at Odyssey expecting the Assassin’s Creed experience they grew up with may be disappointed or confused, but gamers ready for a new era for the franchise should plan to be overwhelmed with opportunity.

Odyssey is no doubt the biggest game in the Assassin's Creed series, and could easily be considered the best one. Unfortunately the efforts to reshape an action game into an RPG were only partially successful. Ubisoft already checked off everything from a great atmosphere and a gigantic map to some cool gameplay mechanics, but narration and moral choices still do not deliver - Witcher 3 is still miles ahead.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey features a rich, lush world lessened by its repetitive activities. Though the main story is compelling, completing it requires you to participate in a massive amount of level grinding through less-than-stellar side quests. There’s plenty to do in this world, but a lot of it feels like busy work that fights to stay exciting or compelling. Odyssey is yet another open world game that misinterprets the meaning of more content.

Goat 2018, sarò esagerato, sarò troppo fissato con la Grecia dell'antichità, ma questo gioco è uno dei migliori della saga

This game doesn't fit the Assassin's Creed franchise. Feels like a heavily AC-themed RPG game. It's a good game, just a bad series entry. Would recommend.

The first AC game I ever played. Didn't think it was too bad back then but after playing many of the older AC games and looking at it more closely odyssey is one of the worst in the franchise. Mediocre story and characters. Repetitive hack and slash gameplay with crazy fantasy abilities which is a far cry from the more grounded, realistic and brutal combat of older games not to mention many of the mechanics from previous games like the hidden blade being completely removed from this game. A world so massive but also so empty at the same time. They picked quantity over quality with this one. The game just doesn't feel like assassins creed, you're not even an assassin in it. As an open world game it doesn't feel immersive or alive like other much better open worlds. Honestly don't understand why some people defend this game. Just a grindy, repetitive, unbalanced mess with nothing to really redeem it. Honestly the best way to describe it is as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle. At least the graphics and the music are good I suppose.
