Resident Evil Requiem is one of the best, if not the best, Resident Evil games I’ve ever played. And I mean ever. The controls, the level(s) of difficulty, the characters, and the story are all immersive. The only thing I wanted to put down are those zombies. Capcom has done it again.

Resident Evil Requiem will very likely be in the conversation for Game of the Year, and it’s not hard to see why. Not only does it succeed as a great title in a legendary series, but it’s also a successful celebration of one of gaming’s horror staples. Not only will it satisfy longtime fans who have been there since day one, but the full experience will easily delight casual fans as well. I loved everything about Requiem, and I hope that those who decide to take the plunge will feel the same way. This easily rises to the level of love that RE4 has received over the years, and those taking the plunge might end up in the same boat. This is an absolutely phenomenal game in a beloved franchise, and it will likely be on the minds of many a gamer for years to come.

It is a testament that, despite thirty years of Resident Evil, with over thirty unique titles under the franchise belt, Capcom is still able to wring out the value and deliver on quality . Resident Evil Requiem is one of the finest examples of both survival horror and third-person action, all rolled into one experience that expertly combines the best of both worlds into a concise, moreish package.

It effectively blends the concepts of horror and action. I also really liked the story, unlike the majority. In terms of graphics, this game is a masterpiece. Leon’s hatchet-sharpening animation is cool as ****.

A great game with diverse gameplay, combining horror and action. Grace's character is absolutely amazing, and her relationship with Emily is fantastic—almost the greatest in the series were it not for the poor replayability elements

I've done 11 runs with different personal challenge each time (demential no heal : done. Dementia no hit : still on the to do list) I spent almost 150 hours on this game.
Two different gameplays, I loved both. Both are challenging on their own ways.

The next evolution of the Resident Evil series has officially arrived and it delivers on nearly every front. From the visceral, gory combat to the tense, compounding sense of dread that accompanies every darkened hallway, Requiem feels like a love letter to every Resident Evil fan. The dual-protagonist addition works to near perfection, with Grace thriving on tense, survival horror driven moments of terror, while Leon deploys the heavy firepower and one-liners to bring up the rear. Its environments and settings have a sense of familiarity to the horrors hiding just out of sight, while feeling like a brand new monster entirely. Though the story does falter towards the end, I feel confident in saying that Requiem is one of the strongest entries in the series as a whole. It does just enough to honor the past, while pushing full steam ahead towards the future.

It’s a 10 out of 10. It’s a bit short, but it’s amazing. I loved it , especially one of the endings (the good one). I loved the characters, the story, and the gameplay; it’s fantastic. If I could give it an 11, I would. It was worth every penny.

I should mention that there are a couple of details in the story that didn't quite fit for me and seemed a bit forced, and that the boss battles, in general, seemed quite easy compared to other instalments in the series. Otherwise, I can only praise the work that Capcom has prepared for us.

The most entertaining new Resident Evil game in over two decades, with fantastic combat, amazing graphics, effective scares, and the most enjoyably bad one-liners in the business.

Resident Evil Requiem confidently honours the franchise’s legacy by bringing Leon back into the spotlight while simultaneously laying the groundwork for its future with a compelling new character. Backed by a proven formula, a passionate fan base, and the ever-reliable RE Engine, the future of the Resident Evil franchise looks brighter than ever.

We'd love to talk about Requiem as a masterpiece, the best of the three most recent numbered titles in the series. Unfortunately, despite a first installment of the adventure capable of achieving excellent results, we can't do so, nor can we hide our bitter taste as longtime fans. This is because the success of the overall experience is partially compromised precisely when more space is given to an icon of the series, the protagonist of an action-horror section that simply doesn't live up to the previous one, though not without its own beautiful moments. We conclude by saying that yes, Requiem is still worth playing, even just to experience its evolved "zombies" and to discover how it looks to the series' past (and future).

Heavy on nostalgia and fan service with the occasional violent delight thrown in, Requiem is a mostly fun Resident Evil title that still feels like a step down from its predecessor.

Lamentable. Se me hizo hasta largo porque en cuanto te paras a pensarlo no pasaba nada interesante que no se haya tratado en anteriores resident.

The game has an exceptional first half with good pacing, albeit with far too many slow sections involving a heavily scripted stalker enemy; however, it falls apart in the second half, where the character switching breaks down, the art direction and variety of enemies leave much to be desired, there are some uninspired gameplay choices—some of which resemble a multiplayer game’s reward system—as well as glaring gaps in the script and presentation, which are far too absurd even for a Resident Evil game. Furthermore, replay value is reduced to the bare minimum, as many sections impose a slow pace and others (in the second half) are watered down.

The game is fun but way too much similar to previous ones, no originality whatsoever, just already seen mechanics a thousand times and fan service (I like Leon but he is now a caricature)

Interesting premise and great horror in the beginning is quickly ruined by run-of-the-mill action with game mechanics from 20 years ago. Once you pass the 50% mark, the story gives up entirely. Instead of building up the only interesting character further (Grace), it desperately attempts to create some kind of reason for everything, but the "creative" minds behind it just couldn't deliver. Leon feels about as engaging as a protagonist as rotten cheese. Requiem is yet another boring RE sequel that would have been better as a standalone horror game without the 20-something years of baggage that came before it.
SummaryA new era of survival horror arrives with Resident Evil Requiem, the latest and most immersive entry yet in the iconic Resident Evil series. Experience terrifying survival horror with FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, and dive into pulse-pounding action with legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Both of their journeys and unique gameplay styles int... Read More
