The combat is janky and outdated compared to Souls likes, and Geralt controls like a tank. It's not exactly what I would call a fun game. With that said, its an incredibly immersive dark fantasy epic with amazing music and great vibes all around. Well-realized memorable characters that are morally complex. Lots of heart that's juxtaposed with lots of brutality and tragedy. When you open up the game, the main menu just hits you with epicness; you know you're in for a journey. The two expansions are among the best in gaming. Gwent is fun in itself, still one of my favorite minigames.

A solid remake of the original Dead Space, sci-fi horror done right. I enjoyed it, but it does start to feel repetitive near the end. I hope the developer delivers a Dead Space 2 remake eventually.

I found the story epic but also kind of milquetoast with not many revelations. It felt like I was playing Marvel's God of War endgame; the tone and vibe felt a bit off from the previous entries in the series. The Ragnarok section was awesome in spectacle but underwhelming in terms of boss fights; both Thor and Odin were weak and disappointing to fight. I guess that was kind of the point; it's now dad of war; he's not the old Kratos anymore. still. I was expecting a bit more after all the buildup; they played it too safe, in my opinion. The Atreus parts were a chore to get through; good for his development in the story, but gameplay-wise not so much. The side quests also felt like a chore, but they're optional, so it's a non-issue. Not the masterpiece that I was expecting as a conclusion to the Norse mythology arc, but still a really great time and a game that's worth playing.

I actually really enjoyed it for what it was, but if your expecting Skyrim or an actual open world RPG with good exploration, you'll be very disappointed. The open world is basically corridors with nothing but monsters to fight and level up your character/class. I just found the concept of having a party of NPCs with their own abilities and personalities really fun and a different take as an action RPG. There are some dynamic things that can happen with environments or creatures, and AI seems pretty advanced at times but awful at other times. The story is pretty pitiful, not going to lie. The game also feels unfinished, with lots of dead ends in caves, and some of the quests are broken. It gave me a feeling of adventure with my party that I was looking for in an RPG, and the player customization is really well done. The endgame is terrible; it seems like they ran out of budget. It's not a game I can recommend wholeheartedly, but a game I enjoyed mostly because there is nothing else quite like it.

It is the cyberpunk open-world game. Lots of controversy surrounding it after they shipped it out unfinished, but they managed to do almost a 180 and deliver what they originally intended. Big props for that. The narrative is multifaceted, with larger-than-life, well-realized characters that you would expect. It's engaging and really ambitious, but stretched too thin and not as good as it could have been. As a RPG, it lacks player choice and agency in the story. It feels on-rails in what the player can actually do, which diminishes replayability significantly. They nailed the vibes and the tone of the cyberpunk world. Music is very epic and badass. NightCity is one of the most intricate cities in gaming. with lots of thought and detail put into every corner. The gameplay feels good enough but weirdly similar to a Far Cry reskin; it feels shallow; it doesn't have much depth, but it does the job. There is a severe lack of player interaction in the environment; all you can do is engage in combat or drive to places; maybe I'm asking for too much though. I can't shake the feeling that the whole game feels empty and underdeveloped; everything is just window dressing to look at; the police were broken for the longest time; now they're in working condition. I wish the developers delayed the game a few years and delivered a true RPG experience; it would have been legendary. It's still very good, but I can't help but feel that it was a bit of a misopportunity. With all that said, as a full package, it’s still a really impressive showing from CD Projekt considering it’s only their second shot at an open world, and I look forward to their next title. They clearly want to improve and deliver experiences worth playing, and as a narrative-focused videogame, it succeeds in what it sets out to do.

It's a strange game even for Kojima, very creatively ambitious, and like nothing else I played. I would describe it as a relaxing chill horror with some tense moments in between the solace, a hiking simulator with poignant music, a mail delivery man in an apocalypse; MGS convoluted strange characters with their own quirks, with lots of weird stuff happening for no logical reason that I can thoroughly explain; some of it is just purely references to other games like PT. To be honest, I don't know if I even truly enjoyed it or not, but it held my interest to the end, so I suppose it did. It seems like a culmination of different apocalyptic or existential stories and weird ideas put into one game. The bridge baby on your chest is bizarre; it allows you to see the ghosts and apparitions that haunt the world. Strange, but it works as a companion that you bond with over time, and it symbolizes bonding and a severed connection; it's all about finding and connecting people at the end of the day and bringing the world together. I like the message of this game. You can make grenades from your ****. Some things are never fully explained in the story and intentionally open-ended to keep you thinking. The online feature is really cool; you see other players buildings and constructions, which can assist you on your journey. The world logic is hard to wrap my brain around, but it works in a weird way, giving the game a unique identity. The acting is terrible sometimes and surprisingly amazing at times. The dialogue can be very verbose. It's not a game I will probably ever replay; it's not what I would call fun, but I appreciated the creativity of it all, and I found it to be a truly unique and interesting experience as an AAA videogame.

Best western epic you can play. My complaints would be that the controls are awful and clunky. The game is too long for its own good, and it has too many boring moments that bring it down for me. As a full package, its exceptional. It might be my favourite open world besides Elden Ring. It desperately needs a 60 fps patch on ps5.

Really solid remake. It nails the look and vibes you expect. Its only act 1 of the story, but its cool to see midgar brought to life and expanded upon. Combat is a real time action version of the original but you can slow time when opening the menus, it feels decent enough, but it can be clunky at times. Characterization is well done and the story feels similar but different with some new twists and turns.

Extremely underrated game, a great sequel to Part 1. Allowing you to select two different protagonists, each with their own abilities, is a really cool concept. I found it interesting, but overall it wasn't for me. Visually, it's spectacular. It was a very well-done audiovisual experience. However, as a game, it felt way too on rails and wasn't inventive enough. Walking sims have kind of run their course for me. I think folks suffering from psychosis will find it more relatable. It's clearly a passion project for Ninja Theory, and I commend the developers for trying something different. We need more triple AAA games taking risks, and I still think it's a worthwhile experience; it just won't land for everybody.

As a singular experience It's really great. It makes you reconceptualize what a protagonist is in a video game. It's not a flawless experience, and you need lots of empathy to appreciate what they're doing here. Even with that in mind, it's divisive, to say the least. It's a depressing and malicious story; it will intentionally make you feel hurt. it's very emotionally charged. The first game only really tested you at the end in the hospital, and it was an easy choice. This game is like that, but stretched across its whole runtime. I found it to be an interesting experience, and I was generally very engaged from start to finish, with one or two hurdles that stopped me in my tracks. Even though it hurts you and puts you through the trenches, it has a lot of heart and soul; it's a very human game. The storytelling got me incredibly invested and does a masterful job of making the player feel emotionally conflicted, creating a dichotomy in the player, bringing out genuine real emotions. It's an incredibly immersive and harrowing journey that pulls you in and doesn't let go. It makes you reflect on your inner-self, human nature, and the state of the world. The two main leads are the most badass compelling female protagonists in gaming, in my opinion, and they're both in the same game. I actually cared about both of them, maybe not initially, but they had a nuance to them that made them relatable, even though they're doing horrific things. You understand where they are coming from in this terrible post-apocalyptic world; you become highly attuned to their emotions and actually feel their struggles, that's a huge feat to me in videogames. Ignoring the story, the game is everything I can ever ask for. Brutal up-close and personal stealth action gameplay with intelligent human AI that feels so lifelike with great animations, really intense at times, amazing gore effects, and great controls. I replayed some of the encounters hundreds of times; they're so fun. A very dark, foreboding atmosphere with terrifying and epic moments, alongside moments of beauty and solace. The worldbuilding is excellent, with interesting lore that provides details about the factions and the events that ensued during day 1 of the outbreak—so much immense detail everywhere you look. Flaws and all, it's still one of the best games I ever played. A masterful gaming experience that is unforgettable. I understand where people are coming from but at the same time, I wish more games were like the last of us 2.
