This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

I appreciate that this game may not be for everyone; I mean after all, why else would there be so many hateful reviews? See, those people are too impatient to see it as anything more than a “boring walking simulator” which I find rather immature of them. Death stranding is a game where you have to look at EVERY detail to see just how astonishing and astounding this game really is. The environments left me downright awestruck, Norman reedus’ grade-A* voice acting (and physical acting as he was literally motion captured) was absolutely fantastic and draws you into the character, and the raw emotion and fear that you get from the other characters and the BTS especially (and the BB who I was personally hoping nothing would happen to) are so powerful that you’ll be on the end of your seat. This game is not *just* a “walking simulator” as the haters call it; it is a work of art, a masterpiece of creativity and imagination. You have to look past all the deliveries to see just how absolutely awesome this game is.

Melhor história já desenvolvida dos games.O que o Kojima fez nesse jogo é algo quase inimaginável,cada detalhe,revelação e ambiente novo a mostra é de tirar o fôlego;eu acho também que o conceito proposto nesse jogo é mais impressionante ainda,dificilmente você veria um mundo com tanta criatividade com uma construção desse nível em outras IPs.Dizem mal a respeito da gameplay,mas a mesma é feita pra certas pessoas em certos momentos de vida,como eu já **** particularmente não me incomodei com o ritimo demasiado lento do jogo,pois isso eu considero como escolha artística e parte do jogo,não estando passível,pois,de ser motivo para diminuir a obra,porque isso se configura como opinião pessoal.Além de que,a história cativante já consegue suprir a falta de uma gameplay que o seja,pois essa foi,para mim,a história que mais prende o jogador da indústria.Cada revelação é tão perfeitamente colocada e dá tantas mais perguntas ao seu discorrer que a história fica absurdamente viva e memorável.Estou ansoiso para experienciar o segundo jogo️.

In the end, Death Stranding’s biggest mystery isn’t any of the elements we’ve had teased in three-plus years of trailers—it’s what people are going to think of it. Even from a man known for making love-them-or-hate-them projects, this may end up being one of the most divisive games ever created. For me, it was an experience that I can truly say was unlike any other I remember. And, if nothing else, Death Stranding makes me respect Hideo Kojima for convincing Sony to invest millions into a game that’s about a man delivering packages to holograms.

Death Stranding might not be for everyone, but Hideo Kojima delivers here a unique universe, where you sometimes feel like you’re one with the game. I love: the BB cries that induce a visceral reaction in me, the music, the gorgeous scenery and the fact that Kojima gives enough room to the story. I hate: Kojima’s lucubrations and the dubious product placement.

Death Stranding is one of those epic games where you reach the ending after many, many hours and you have the sense that you played something unique, fresh and a game that could be a comparative point for other games to come. Kojima reaffirms our acknowledgment for his talent of creating engrossing worlds, both in terms of lore and visuals, with well-designed gameplay. What drags it down from a higher grade is its overreliance in, basically, one quest type and the utterly derivative action sequences (thankfully not many of them).

We will all remember Death Stranding, the game that was brave enough to oppose the norm. But in the end, it falls a victim to its high ambition as it struggles plenty due to numerous pivotal decisions in storytelling and gameplay.

Ima be honest, it took me a long time to beat this game because I kept getting bored. By the end I really liked it, I just think it should not have been so long.

A fair score would be 7.5, to be honest. As a Kojima enthusiast who appreciates almost all of his work, I had high expectations for this game. I didn’t know what to expect. Would it be something like Metal Gear? More action-oriented? I was unsure. But when the reveal happened, I found something intriguing in the mechanics of being a delivery man. The setting was so captivating that I wanted to learn more about the new world Kojima had **** story, while it might seem ridiculous at times, is engaging. The cinematics are well crafted. However, my main issue lies with the gameplay. It feels bland, especially coming from a game like Metal Gear Solid V, which had phenomenal gameplay and a just-okay story by Kojima’s standards. Something felt missing. The game suffers from pacing problems. It often doesn’t feel like a fun challenge. Instead, it feels like my capabilities are being restrained until something better unlocks to improve the gameplay. I hope Kojima addresses some of these issues in a sequel, if one ever comes.

Thats a scam, not a game. Kojima showed cool actors for 2 years, but NONE of gameplay. It appeared that there is no gameplay in the game lol

I put in. Over 40hrs and felt I could have had a better experience by actually going for a long walk, overrated game, director and story. I don’t mind deliverygames or walking games but st least the other games didn’t drag on and on. Like thisdid. Sorry **** ,something was lost in translation
