Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is different from the Prime series so they aren't just rehashing the series and the gameplay is really fun, but my biggest problem with this is how they ruined Samus. I've always viewed Samus as a silent protagonist who never speaks, but it shows how committed to the job she is and her character was revealed through her movements and the way she reacts to certain things. With this voice actor, she sounds like a damning cheer leader in Samus's armor. It drives me crazy to hear her talk and how she's emotionally scarred from seeing Ridley come back from the dead more often than Krillin is just stupid. This is not a bad game by any means, but how they handled the characters just pisses me off. If you can ignore it and enjoy it for its gameplay, then this is for you. Otherwise, don't bother with it.

It's the entire Metroid Prime trilogy and it's awesome. It's nice to have all 3 of the Metroid Prime's on one disc to save you trouble from switching out the discs every time you want to play something different. Only downside, playing all these in a row gets boring and that's usually what most people (that I know at least) do when they get an HD collection of something. Ik a lot of people don't, but I'm just nitpicking here. If you haven't played the Metroid Prime series or own it. Get the off the computer. Go to your local game store. Grab this game. Pay for it. This game was disappointing, but I will give it some credit. In Leon's campaign, it did bring back a survival horror feel to the game with zombies and dark corridors, and I liked it a lot. I also liked the 3rd chapter in Chris's campaign where your squad is getting picked off one by one by a snake not on a plane. It adds tension Another thing I liked was Ada's campaign adding some pretty challenging puzzles and nicely intertwined all 3 campaigns nicely. HOWEVER, this does not mean it was a great game. This game falls flat for trying to please fans of both parties. The fans who want it to be survival horror and does who prefer the action survival elements. And as a result it collapses in on itself. What killed tension and suspense is how much of a bad your character is. It doesn't matter who you're playing as, but you can easily dispatch enemies without a problem. If the opposition poses little to no threat, the tension is dissolved and it gets boring. There were times where the game clearly wanted you to run because of the overwhelming amount of enemies, but because it's so easy to kill them all and how much of a badass you are with unarmed combat, you can just stay there and whale on all the enemies. This is an ungraceful sequel that isn't as bad as other games I've played, but this is a stain on the Resident Evil franchise.

Resident Evil 5 is probably my favorite out of the Resident Evil franchise (this or Nemesis, still debating on that one) but I love this game to death. While the campaign is short, I think it's a perfect length so if you're going through on professional difficulty it doesn't feel like a 4 month commitment to finish it. Probably the most common complaint is only having 9 inventory slots which includes guns, ammo, medical supplies and armor, but I didn't see a problem with it because a game that's trying to be SURVIVAL I liked the challenge of planning ahead of what I might need instead of carrying everything in a briefcase. Many people will disagree with me, but being narrowed down to a limited inventory made the game more challenging and offered a lot of challenge. Another complaint is having a stupid companion with you who get's in your way. While it's true that this is annoying, I do like that I can have one of my bro's pick up a controller and play as her to help me on my mission. Though it's no excuse for a piss poor A.I, it's still nice to see a co-op feature. I'd definitely get this game if you see it in stores.

By no means is Resident Evil 4 a survival horror game. While it does have some horror elements, I wouldn't classify it as that. Maybe survival thriller, but this is an awesome game. I enjoyed the survival element a lot as you constantly had to worry about having enough ammo to get through or medical equipment and having to choose between sacrificing ammo for health was always a tough choice. The obvious downside to this game is having to piggyback Ashley throughout the game and hearing her constantly shout "LEON!" However, you can tell her to hide in a dumpster so it's not too bad. Overall, this was a fun game and very enjoyable, but I did hate that if I wanted to go through and play a certain part of the game, I had to play through the entire damn thing again, but this is still pretty damn fun.

You can just fight people in Ladder Kombat and is ever so satisfying. The fatalities and X-rays are all good and a few of them make me cringe. If you can get into a decent lobby, online is fun but you need to practice if you wanna stand up to some of the other Kombatants. The only problem I have is you can't just simply go into a 1v1 with the computer unless you're in training mode and you can't die there. The game is good, and it provides many hours of gameplay, but I know too many people who stopped playing this game because it was really childish. The flaw doesn't come from the game itself, but the voice actors who make it sound so childish. To me, Gears of War 3 is the pinnacle of the entire Gears universe. It took everything about Gears and made it better. The graphics for previous Gears of War tended to be dark, washed over colors that didn't provide a whole lot of stuff to look at and in its defense, Gears of War is set in a war torn world, but Gears 3 just made the graphics feel alive. There were so many more colors added despite its setting and it worked wonderfully. The controls felt a lot better and I just had fun running around. The multiplayer is still not user friendly, but is finally balanced. If you want to use a lancer to kill people, you can. It just takes a little practice and if you want to use a shotgun, you can. The story is an epic conclusion to one of my favorite game series of all time and many tears were had during the campaign. It brought back horde, but added a fortification system in which you build barriers and turrets to help your fight against the locust. It also added boss battles in horde and added a new level of challenge. They made a whole new mode, beast mode, in which you play as the locust trying to kill the COG. Overall, it's the best Gears of the entire series and has great replay value. Worth every dollar you spend.

A wonderful followup to an already great game. The campaign is still awesome and draws me in every time. They added Horde which allows you to fight against wave after wave of Locust infantry alone or with 4 of your bro's. Multiplayer is once again not user friendly, but is very enjoyable. Gears 2 is worth your money and will bring you a great many hours of fun.
