Resident Evil 6

If you were left wanting in RE5 there's a good chance RE6 will satisfy you. There's a reason you're being fired at, there are plenty of tense moments and stress, the storytelling is superb, and "zombies" make a return.

A somewhat bumpy, uneven ride perhaps, but one that entertains far more than disappoints.

An accomplished shooter on the whole, and a fittingly thunderous send-off for current gen Resident Evil. The next instalment needs to tighten the focus, deciding which ideas are worth sticking with, but this could be the definitive videogame blockbuster - huge, colourful and surprising.

Where RE6 truly shines is in the game mechanics and ancillary modes. Mercs is back and better than ever. When married with all of the new mechanics (quick-shotting, rolling, aiming while laying down, and more), Mercs becomes a much more action oriented experience, which enhances the enjoyment of it tenfold.

At the end of the day, Resident Evil 6 is packed to the gills with features and absolutely looks the part, no one can deny that, but its lack of gameplay identity leaves it as empty and vacuous as the higher brain function of any one of its zombie inhabitants.

Apparently no lessons were learned from that game, as Resident Evil 6 is a textbook example of too many cooks spoiling the broth; a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Yes, this is just like Raccoon City all over again: stilted, awkward, ridiculous, embarrassing, tedious. Except for the parts where it's like Call of Duty, which are equally stilted, awkward, ridiculous, embarrassing, and tedious, but with more NPC soldiers milling about. Resident Evil 6 is thoroughly oblivious to so many of the things that make a good game these days.

Particularmente eu gostei deste jogo. Acho ele bem divertido. Lembro que quando lançou na época não acompanhava tanto as notícias, e o pessoal do meu círculo e eu tinha gostado. Era um jogo extremamente divertido. Joguei a primeira vez sozinho, e depois foi no cooperativo. E no cooperativo o que era bom, para mim, ficou ainda melhor. O jogo não é ruim, tem uma história legal, tem muitos monstros legais de combater, o jogo é incrível. - O que envelheceu um pouco foi a jogabilidade. Agora no REQUIEM está bem melhor, mas não tira o mérito de ser um bom jogo. Eu amei a forma de que fizeram os capítulos, e a história de cada personagem. Não é um jogo ruim não. Vale muito a pena jogar e não olhar para essa críticas que menosprezam esse jogo

É um jogo focado em ação, com uma gameplay que acompanha bem essa proposta. Como jogo, ele é excelente, porém, como um Resident Evil, acaba se distanciando muito da essência da série. Se fosse uma IP nova, provavelmente seria mais valorizado.

Resident Evil 6 tentou surfar no hype dos jogos de tiro em primeira pessoa de sua época. Também tentou inserir várias cutscenes dignas de um filme de ação. Focou em diferentes campanhas, mas acabou não fazendo nada disso bem. Tudo aqui tem uma qualidade mediana. É notável que o jogo possui um bom orçamento, mas a execução não corresponde ao investimento.
