Ultimately, Intelligent Systems is giving Fire Emblem fans precisely what they want: more (much more) of the same. [JPN Import; May 2007, p.106]

So what if it's the same old Fire Emblem? The score's for non-Japanese speakers - the UK version will likely do much better. [JPN Import; May 2007, p.45]

It's the best it its class, and motion-control or not, it's only on Wii. [Dec 2007, p.80]

Miss the times I played it with my brother. I especially love the low availability of some characters and the lot of babysitting some of them need. It’s the very soul of what Fire Emblem used to **** game I played the most in my life.

Competent execution, decent mechanics, but doesn’t quite hit the mark. Can be a bit dull occasionally, but, overall, worth a try.

overall a decent game, some fun combat system, and a real good story but the lack of motion controls really holds it back. this is on the wii for heavens sake.

The main problem in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is that the game has no Wii-specific features, and it certainly doesn't have that next-gen presentation that many might expect from a Wii title.

Definitely one of the best SRPGs of all time, the dark setting and the increidibly well-made storytelling is a huge plus for this game, but the unique way this game is presented and the amount of characters you can get with all of them feeling important in a way is fantastic. Easily one of the best Fire Emblem games of all time. A total masterpiece that deserves to be rereleased on modern consoles.

It's Fire Emblem as you know and love it, but if you're new to proceedings then prepare for a baptism of fire.

If you’re looking for an entertaining, challenging, traditional strategy game, look no further, as Fire Emblem is as good as it gets. Just don’t expect anything more than GameCube presentation, visuals, and control for $50.

Little effort has gone into crafting a game that belongs on the Wii – very few upgrades distinguish it from the graphical quality you’d see on that earlier system.

If you are looking for a game experience similar to recent Final Fantasy games, you will ultimately be disappointed with Radiant Dawn. However, if you craved focused gameplay and a story without embellished full voice acting or tons of FMV cut scenes, then Radiant Dawn fits the bill.

This is Fire emblem in all its glory, a true hard-core SPRG, with full fleshed out warriors that dress appropriately for combat.
The war in this game feels realistic, even through this game is expensive to pick up from eBay, it is definingly worth the purchase.

There’s a lot of changes from Path of Radiance that are quite nice, some aren’t great but aren’t awful. But the biggest thing that separates Dawn from Path is the story. Characters are morons in Radiant Dawn, including 2 characters from path that were tactical genius are now coming up with plans that would result in all of their deaths. Chapter 2 did absolutely nothing for the overall story. Reveals aren’t set up at all and are revealed at terrible times. Pair the story with the massive level pacing problems. A third of the characters are straight up unusable in the endgame unless you dumb bonus Exp into them. Still the base game play is Fire Emblem, and the story is not so damaged that it pushes you away. Lot’s of really fun maps as well, escape maps, survive maps, some goals that are actually different from route enemy or kill boss, which is always a breath of fresh air. Overall good game, but lots of poor choices with the story and pacing, kinda disappointing that this is the sequel to Path.
