It's the addition of the Forge level editor and the saved films that give the game an even longer set of legs, legs that will probably keep you running at full speed until Bungie figures out where, exactly, to go from here.

Halo 3 is the best Xbox 360 game to date. The single-player campaign and storyline are both very strong, but it's Forge and the Saved Films features that will likely go down in history as Bungie's crowning achievements. They've basically taken everything great about the series and improved upon it in every way, then added some amazing new features that we'll be using for years to come.

It's solid gameplay, immense replayability, online functionality and incredible production values will ensure its place in video game history, and it is, without a doubt, a satisfying and fulfilling close to the beloved trilogy[?].

(Campaign review) Fun game but not very innovative.
In my course of playing all halo games to reach, halo 3 is surely the 2dn best of them. I only played the campaigns so thats that. Gameplay is a good improvement over halo 2. New fun weapons, addition of abilities and overall fun and great levels. Mostly well designed. Not the most atmospheric one but it had a decent atmosphere and world overall. Shame that most of its soundtrack is reused from Halo CE, but at least they are good tracks. Story was kinda mid, it wasnt bad but its forgetable mostly, nothing too interesting or unique in comparison to other games. There isnt much to say about this game, its a decent campaign with improvements over its previous game, good levels but not too good, a decent atmosphere but not incredible, a meh story and a recycled OST but a good one at least. There is not much more to say, i would rate it at 8 for its time, currently its just a 7,7 at best. You have your coop too so invite a friend

The first half isn’t all that special but man is that 2nd half one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had

La culminación de una gran saga de forma perfecta, acompañado de un gameplay mejorado juego tras juego y esa gran historia hacen de esta una obra maestra.

One of those rare instances where the developer exceeded expectations and over delivered.

Halo 3 transcends video games. It is a global entertainment experience. Just as "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" and "Spiderman 3" brought to a close two of the most lucrative and epic film trilogies of all time, Halo 3 brings to a close perhaps the most complete, engaging and downright fun video game trilogy of all time. There is absolutely no way any Halo fan will be disappointed by this game.

Beautiful campaign and a multiplayer I sunk way too many hours into. The best Halo.

The game is definitely far superior to its predecessor and is just about on-par with the original, maybe even more so since it feels more complete.

This last installment for Master Chief in the Halo trilogy isn't perfect, but it comes pretty close.

What it comes down to is that Halo 3 is still a great playing first-person shooter that manages to get just about everything right.

There's no denying how awesome the replay and Forge features are – but they're not the core of the game. Don't get me wrong, the single player campaign is very strong, the action is tight, and the AI is F.E.A.R.-killing. But for every positive, there was an area of the game that left me wanting more – the backtracking, the overly cheesy storyline, the underwhelming visuals. And multiplayer feels too much like a HD-version of Halo 2 with a few gadgets you can toss around.

The ads promise an epic tale of tragedy, sacrifice, and heroism that Halo 3 really had no hope in hell of ever delivering. More troubling, however, is the fact that after playing the game, I can suggest with some certainty that they promised a game that Bungie didn't even bother trying to produce.

My second favourite game (and favourite halo game) of all time tbh if you buy it I recommend playing it on the Xbox one but it is still a nearly flawless game on either console

it's the LAZIEST game of the series, the Story is Bad and have Wasted Characters like Miranda and the Arbither is mostly a background Character, they Reused Soundtracks from Previous games and they barely change them, Some Leves are Bad or Lazy like Crow's Nest where you Go back to the Command Center 3 Times, the Ark where you go back to the Door which was closed and you Leave the tank meaning it was Filler, the last level is a Cheap copy of the Maw from CE, who thought it was a great idea to add these Cortana messages that slow you down and look Unfinished, It's worse on the Level Cortana and happens on linear Paths, Enemy and Ally AI are Bad and on some places they get Stuck, Most weapons **** especially the Shotgun and Magnum, lights are very bright like if someone played with the Gamma, the movement feel Too Slow.
the most Innovative things are Forge mode and theater, the equipments are a Good addition to Gameplay.
Halo 3 is a game that didn't took Risks and All of those "Homages" felt more like Lazyness because Halo 3, Halo 2 and CE are 3 years apart and not a Decade or more.

It would be fascinating to know why other reviewers rate this title so highly, as the Single-Player is one of the worst in existence, the characters are uninteresting and easily forgettable and the load-time durations are simply a war crime. Halo 3's soundtrack, multiplayer and distinctive visual style prevent this title from simply being a polished turd. Multiplayer (including Forge Mode) is the only plausible reason to purchase this game for entertainment value because it earns its own merit and then some. The maps are varied and offer plenty of strategy and the use of vehicles are immensely entertaining. Graphics 6/10 Although distinct in visual style, some of the level design does little to highlight it. Gameplay 6/10 Single player is atrocious, boring and forgettable but multiplayer is in a league of its own. Features 6/10 Removing the vacuous single player from the equation, Multiplayer has a gargantuan lasting appeal. Overall: 4/10 Multiplayer retains the same high standards of previous entries but the single player is simply an offence in gaming.
