This is exactly the game the mature, hardcore Wii crowd has been craving, and it's just too bad that Nintendo is too busy making the next Wii Play, Wii Fit or Wii Music to put more resources into projects like this.

Madworld is not only brilliant but really up's the gore content on the Wii too, if you thought the new House of the Dead game was violent then you ain't seen nothing yet.

Madworld is an absolute wonder on the Wii. Packed with a fantastic visual style, simple but effective controls, and a healthy dose of humour, this is almost a complete package. Diminished focus on the story, and some minor camera issues aside, this should be on any fan of mature game’s "must have" list.

A brilliantly ballsy debut on a console short on adult thrills. [May 2009, p.48]

It's the first new IP for Nintendo's Wii that caters expertly for the console's forgotten core audience, sating the bloodlusts of those loyal fans that made Resident Evil 4 such a huge hit on the Gamecube.

This comically savage action game overcomes its frustrations with liberal doses of blood and guts.

Frustration sets in when: You realize there’s no need for strategy whatsoever. You can die taking one approach on enemies, but still get results with the same tactic in the next life.

Someone said that nintendo consoles had no cool, brutal and violent games? Who is this idiot, huh? Okay, now serious. Madworld is a game to buy Wii for. Also this is the best Platinum Games, kham, game how I think.

MadWorld may have a mature rating, but it came out a little immature when it came to gameplay. There are just too many problems with the camera, the controls, and the repetitive gameplay. Even for a short game, MadWorld makes killing enemies rather boring after awhile. I mean if you impaled one guy in the head, you impaled them all. Still though, MadWorld does have a lot of appeal at least, and with great music and dialogue to back it up, this game is at least worth some attention for those that are interested.

Overhyped extremely boring game. The black and white (and red) style is terrible and it was very hard to tell what was going on at times due to poor contrast. The violence/gore is there, but not nearly as exciting as many fans claim. I found myself just going through the killing motions after a while just to get enough points to progress to the next area. Too much grinding. And if you take away the grinding, there isnt much left to play.
