Star Ocean: The Second Story R4

Mash button type game, that's it. First of all, it's my mistake to expect more out of this game. I played the demo and I already get the hint that there's no such strategy in this game, it's only the matter of getting overpower and mash button when in combat. But my curiosity beats me and I purchased it and I regret it. For context, I've spent 10+ hours into the game and there's no single thing that hooks me to keep playing. Visual/ Graphics is the biggest point here where it looks crisp and vibrant. Soundtrack is fine, no banger during my playthrough but it's fine. Characters is mid, I feel no strong chemistry or attachment between one another besides the MC and Rena. And the biggest flaw is the gameplay itself. Well, gameplay **** = game will also ****. I still give it 4 since I can feel that they did something right with the level progression which feels great but to achieve that, we need to get into combat which is the worst experience and dragging I would say. My take on the combat is that it's janky. You introduce side-step which I assume I can keep execute it so I can learn enemy pattern and get good at it. I even crank up the difficulty to test myself but you know what? Some enemy attacks are meant to be unavoidable and you can't execute sidestep right after a successful sidestep. It's like they have a cooldown mechanism behind the combat system. On the other hand, when I lower the difficulty, our character will just automatically block enemy attacks. It doesn't even directly explain to us which caught me off guard like how that's happen, what stats that actually affecting that kind of action from my character but turns out, it's just the normal thing with lower difficulty. Enemy basic attack will be automatically blocked. So lower difficulty = no challenge at all, higher difficulty = you need to grind so you can beat the enemy before you die. If they could fix that, I can say I will enjoy it a ton more. For now, I'll step away from the game. Might revisit it if I got no more game to play which unlikely.

Hades II10
Dec 9, 2025
Another hell ****! Everything about the 1st Hades is still here and they improve upon it. Well the weapon selection is inferior to Hades 1 I would say. Weapon is Hades 2 is pulling us to play more with strategy and timing where in Hades 1 is full on action and your reaction time. So, for that aspect, Hades 1 is superior. But, for the dungeon, oh Lord, Hades 2 is insane! You can explore the underworld and even go up to the Olympus this time. That alone already made this game 2x bigger than Hades 1. The art also is much crispier and visually catchy. The art on Hades 1 is more like Marvel comic kind of thing but Hades 2 looks more flashy and high texture which made the overall look is better even on Switch 1. The music, well Darren Korb you nailed it. The music totaly represent the combat situation which elevate the experience and tension of the gameplay. The narrative is where it shines like in Hades 1. The story building for the underworld is phenomenal but the story that build upon why we should go to Olympus is not really connected to the Underworld. Well, SuperGiant is always great in their dialogue system which sometimes we can talk about the underworld while we're exploring Olympus and vice versa. But, for me there's no clear connection or big plot between these 2 dungeon which I hope it connects at the end because I haven't finished it. I'm 40 hours into the game and manage to beat Chronos couple of times but only once beating Typhoon. Hades 2 is like Silksong. The game is there for player that played the original, so they know what to expect + the difficulty is way above the original. Overall, still one of my favorite game this year. I even would rate it higher than Silksong if the weapon selection is better.

Awesome Metroidvania game with Souls mechanic and vibe in the mix. Everything just went right I guess so no major complain whatsoever. The only complain I had is the content is way too short and so many hidden tools which required for exploration is being placed near the second half of the game which made me as a player kind of lost track where should I go back to the previous uncharted area. Another thing, it's completely like dark souls for its quest design. Once you're not paying attention to certain dialogue, you'll definitely get stuck to finish certain quest or even gain upgrades for your journey. In a way that's our fault as a player for not paying attention but I guess small guide or reminder when we got the required items would help for smoother progression. Other than that, awesome vibe, combat, bosses and environment. Everything is great which made me intrigue to check the 2nd one that I guess pretty divisive. Many love it but many also said its inferior to this one.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom9
Oct 8, 2025
Absolutely love it. I rate Link's Awakening 6/10 due to inconsistent mechanic within the game and worst performance for 1st party game. What this game does well in comparison is better performance overall. Despite being much bigger than Link's Awakening, I rarely notice any FPS dips and even if there is, its not as bad as in Link's Awakening. On the gameplay side, it's completely a fresh idea to play as Zelda and not becoming the swordsman, Link. This affect how we approach combat in new and exciting way which by using Echoes. Well, Zelda game in a way has always been about puzzle, but with this approach, the combat itself also becomes a puzzle itself. Like for certain enemy which echo we should use and how to maximize or craft our way to defeat the enemy. Yes, I do notice regarding the bad UX for choosing and scroll to select the echo but I guess the favorite feature is a lifesaver, not much but still it's creating much better experience. Plus, once you found your favorite echo for platforming and combat, the rest is kind of becoming invalid and just there for completion. Of course, the world itself is much larger as I've just said previously and the verticality of the world is way more varied but we can break it by being creative and I love that. It took the gene of BOTW and TOTK which for some old fans is a letdown but for me its a huge plus. All in all its worth to play and to have for your library for Zelda fans and hey, the first Zelda games that we play as Zelda so what could go wrong, right?

Hollow Knight: Silksong10
Oct 2, 2025
My vote for GOTY will definitely for Silksong. First time ever, I bought a digital game at full price. The fact that they make it affordable just made me want to fully support them. Besides that, the game runs flawlessly on Switch. No lag or performance issue, visual is the same like the original Hollow Knight which great, vibrant and lively. Now to the gameplay itself. Yes, it does 2/3x times harder than the original Hollow Knight but I would argue that we're just not fully utilizing the new moveset and get used to Hornet agility. The fact that we can heal 3 health bar right away is already a sign that the dev want us to get more into action instead finding time to heal. On the other side there are more tools so I see no reason for it being too difficult or punishing. For context, I finish the game and reach true ending, not completing it yet. Besides that, we also get 7 different play style which nuts. Some are lackluster but the fact they provide us with 7 different approach in combat is amazing. Plus, we can synergies each tool to specific play style so we can play around to find combo that suit our style. I'm 60+ hours in and there's still so much more to discover. With that amount of content, I feel the value of the game is way much more than what its priced. Well recommended and must buy for metroidvania fans. Don't let difficulty holds you back but one thing I can warn you = If you didn't manage to finish Hollow Knight due to its difficulty and you hate it, skip this game, you'll hate it even more.

Tails of Iron7
Aug 4, 2025
I cannot rate it lower since I play it to 100% completion. Which means, something clicks with me for me to be able to pull through collecting all the medals. The game has many flaws but all in all the combat is what keeping me hooked. The gameplay is pretty challenging which what I like. I like when game appreciate our reflex and ability to read enemies move set. It's not for everyone, especially if you hate souls-like game, this is the lite version of that. I love how distinct each enemy is and their varied move set. Embrace parry as soon as you can as it will makes thing easier for you. The last positive point for me is the visual and art style is pretty charming. The world is very vibrant I would say even thou the thematic of it is kind of dark. But, here are the flaws of the game =
1. Way too many backtracking
2. Repetitive quest
3. Related to number 2, the story also get the same treatment. Bad Narrative
4. The combat movement is very clunky which is fine, but can be improved
5. The not parry-able attack or the big area attack on some enemies could actually samey. So this mechanic is not consistent on all enemies. 6. Way too many armors and weapon that mostly will never be used due to the weight or bad stats. They are there just for completion.
7. Bad UX when finishing a quest where you need to interact with the quest giver "2 times". Due to this UX design, I often think that I haven't finished or mistakenly understand what they want which turns out I've did what they want but I just need to interact with them once more as a confirmation of my completion, stupid. Overall is pretty good but I can say for sure, I won't ever revisit the game and the sequel is being said as samey with the first one so I think I'll skipped it.

SIFU6
Aug 4, 2025
Sifu is an amazing game being held back by poor optimization by the developer. I do believe they can fix and optimize the game even further. By the time I'm writing this, the performance is still terrible I would say. Really killed my experience with it + there are 2 times when the game is crashing on my switch. If not due to the performance, I would rate the game 8/9. The game is amazing with challenging gameplay and satisfying learning curve. Probably its just a shame that the game is way too short. Plus the story is way too basic, like the story is there only to fill the spot, not to support the gameplay itself. Overall this game is good if you value gameplay above all. Its just the performance that still need fixing.

Well, this game has never been released outside of Japan, which is a shame. This game shows great potential and fun gameplay mechanic. The story is lackluster but the gameplay and the gimmick of challenging other ranker so you can get their rank is something that worth revisiting for Capcom. I finish the game and I can say I do enjoy it even thou this game is old already.

Okami HD6
Jan 30, 2025
Due to recent hype of Okami 2 and suddenly it goes hard on sale, which only cost 5$, I'm giving it a try. Didn't expect much since this is a 2006 game and was designed for PS2 but, turns out it's a pretty decent and fun game. The first half of the game is packed with content and fun. I can feel the progression of Ammy getting stronger and I'm able to access more area that I'm unable to previously. All is great, but the 2nd half of the game ruin the whole experience for me. The developer seems to force the game narrative to be extended couple of times. It's the type of narrative that I hate because it's not adding depth or meaning to the game story, it's more like dragging to me. You beat Orochi then the dark entity inside Orochi got split to neighboring regions which we're being tasked to hunt the down once more. This is fine but then after you hunt them down, it's not finished yet. There's another demon that has been resurrected alongside Orochi. I do finish the game but I don't plan to complete it because of this dragging issue. Another thing is, Ammy progression is no longer significant during the 2nd half of the game. It feels like you've maxed out all Ammy abilities and you just need to finish the game with all you've got. Overall, I do like the game but I get fatigued and annoyed with the game design and how they tailor their story. Delete the game after I finish it and will never revisit the game anymore or even think to complete it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt4
Jan 30, 2025
I might be late to the party and that's might be the reason I dislike the game. I don't get the hype and all the praise that people are talking about this game. Tried it on 2022 when I bought PS4 and somehow I couldn't get myself to push forward with this game. I'm trying to give it another try at the end of 2023 but stil, It feels clunky to me and not engaging. Give it another try this year and still the same thing, I cannot understand what's good about the game. One thing that I assume would be the cause is due to my expectation that this is an action game which is not. This game is heavily an RPG game with some crafting + narrative driven. To put into perspective, I dislike RPG game, except JRPG (Yes, I'm one of the people that believe RPG and JRPG are two separate genre because they are totally different). Well, The Witcher 3 is just not my cup of tea and I guess it's fine. Like I praise Sekiro a lot, but many players also hates the game, so it all come down to preference.

Pikmin 410
Apr 2, 2024
Pikmin 4 is a game that never expect to be this enjoyable, relaxing yet challenging at the same time. Pikmin 4 is truly a masterpiece from Nintendo in 2023. This is truly Nintendo takes on RTS genre which to me feels phenomenal. The game rely on day mechanic where you have to collect treasure and save castaway within the time limit that you have in 1 day but the game never force you or set the maximum day you have to finish all of that. Because of that, the game is challenging yet relaxing at the same time. The game also perfect for completionist where you can aim for platinum badge in every dandori challenge and battle. On the other hand, you can play Olimar adventure where the game gets challenging in my opinion if you didn't set your time properly. Overall, Pikmin 4 is a fun ride and I truly enjoy it from start to finish. Looking forward for the next Pikmin game and what's new can Nintendo bring to the table

My curiosity beats my hesitation to try out this game and "WALLA!" turns out XC3 is pretty good. I've said on my XC2 review that I won't try XC3 due to several issues that I had with XC2 that I believe might carry over to XC3. Turns out, XC3 improve in every aspect which makes me enjoy my time with it. I've finished the game after 120+ hours. Planned to complete it but I'll save it for later. Things that I like about XC3:
- The navigation system still not that great but the world structure is less confusing which make traversing the world a lot easier than XC2.
- The Quest design is getting better, although I have to say when you reach CH6 onward, the Quest design is back to how it was in XC2 (Too many subs)
- The gameplay mechanic is solid, not like XC2 which pretty confusing and overwhelming with its Blade mechanic. In XC3, it's being changed to classes which pretty awesome and fun IMO. And you can change characters in the middle of battle, finally.
- The graphics is better than XC2. Kind of confused with lot of review that complaining about the graphics of XC3 like what do you expect? The fact that this big game is running on switch and has better graphics than XC2 is already an impressive feat.
- Story is better as well IMO. In XC2 I tend to get lost while following the story but the way XC3 deliver its story is just better. I'm able to understand the plot and what's going on between each colony.
- Characters is debatable but I love XC3 Characters more than XC2. I can relate more to XC3 characters than XC2. Things that I think XC2 still superior than XC3 are:
1. Music = Well, it's all about preferences but XC2 is just way more exciting and alive. XC3 is also good which fits the theme about life and death but XC2 makes you feel kind of badass.
2. World = Of course, it's all about the theme as XC3 about war where XC2 not, so the XC2 world is way more vibrant, colorful which makes it look pretty than XC3. But, again the graphics still better on XC3. As JRPG Fan, XC3 completely nailed it. I dislike XC2 but I'm loving this one even thou I can't say that this is the best JRPG I've played but I'm enjoying every single hour that I've spent on this game. Good Job Monolith!

Xenoblade Chronicles 26
Jul 23, 2023
Strong First Impression but.... Many things to hate or dislike from Xenoblade 2 but I can still say I enjoy my time with it. Although, I will never play it again. Things that went wrong in my opinion: - The Worst Navigation system in gaming I've ever experienced so far. - Rough texture on handheld mode. If they go with Zelda kind of art style, it should be fine, but they go with realistic kind of look and it's make things worst from visual perspective. - Way too complex for Blade/ Drive/ Combat mechanic. Many features should be always good for players but in this case, it's not necessary in my opinion. - Weird EXP system where they separate the one you gain from combat and the one you gain from Quests. You have to rest at the in to claim that EXP from Quests - One of the worst quest design. You can accept some side quests and somehow you are not able to complete that, yet. Why don't you unlock the side quests once we are fully compatible for it? On top of that, way too many "subs" in those side quests which makes it very lengthy + with that bad navigation system, it's a complete nightmare to do the side quests. - Story is debatable but I skip it after Chapter 6 due to overloaded dialogues here and there, lengthy cutscenes and overload of information as well which left me with "huh?". So, it's just unappealing story for me. All I know is we are trying to get to Elysium with our lovely blade but some bad guy got in your way by wanting to stole your lovely blade. The end of the story. Besides that, it's a great game that I believe for JRPG fans, you'll definitely able to enjoy it. But this game completely kills of my intention to try Xenoblade 3.

Yakuza Kiwami 210
Jul 9, 2023
Another Masterpiece! RGG never fails to deliver a meaningful and engaging story from start to end. Along side some (or probably all) quirky and weird side quests that truly becoming the charm of the Yakuza series. And once again, I had invested my time more on the cabaret and Majima Construction rather than progressing through the story. Yakuza is the only game that able to make me curious, hook and interested in their side gameplay or activities. Most game feels like a chore or not engaging at all but with Yakuza, you are voluntarily doing it. Another thing that probably most gamer didn't notice is the perfection of the writer to make that dozen of characters in the game alive. Every single characters (not NPC) in the game has a specific value on them. There's no single character that feels like a filler. The only game that does this besides Yakuza Series is only RDR2 in my opinion. Just buy and play this game but just remember that RGG is known for their story and they are the best at it. For gameplay, it's pretty good but don't expect a flashy kind of action game. Dive into the world of Yakuza and you'll know the richness of this series.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening6
Jun 20, 2023
Wonky Game. Just start to get into the series of the legend of Zelda and I decide to continue this journey with Link's Awakening which is a port from GBA and to be honest I didn't enjoy my time with it. Well I can't expect much because it's just a remaster not a remake. The game is kind of good but many things that make this game feels off to me. Your adventure is all about exploring the dungeon at the core of it. Yes, you can explore koholint but you need the ability from the dungeon to be able freely moving around the world. The dungeon is not bad but the design is pretty unforgiving. Probably because I start it with hero mode right away, it feels so punishing. I always have to start at the entrance of the room and repeat every process that needed to take me back to the room where I died previously. The feeling of repetitiveness is building up right there. Another thing which is the biggest and the main reason for me not liking this game, there's a bad gene from Luigi Mansion 3 in this game, the game has pretty random enemy design. A lot of trial and error to know how to damage certain enemy which is not a fun time when you are in the dungeon. How do I know that I need to do charge attack on certain enemy? How do I know that I need to use magic powder to defeat that bouncing fire? Or bomb to defeat that fake kirby? The game doesn't tell you any of that and you need to figure it our by yourself. Last, for just a remaster, the performance of the game is disappointing. So many FPS drop here and there, especially in Mabe Village. Yes, the very first place that you explore, like what are you doing Nintendo? Well, if you enjoy the game then that's good for you but for 60$? This game at most only worth 40$ in my opinion. I even got the game second hand at around 30$ but I still feel it's not worth my money.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom9
Jun 13, 2023
Huge improvement over BOTW! With open world game, "usually" there are a lot to offer and with that many feature and content it's extremely hard to find a perfect harmony for all of them which is why TOTK still has some flaws based on my experience after finishing the game for around 115+ hours. 1. The sage ability is comparable to the warriors but their AI that help you in battle is truly bad. They rarely attack, hindering your view and just get in your way in battle. The implementation of sage support is just way too rough or sluggish for now. 2. The fuse material with arrow is a "wow" factor for me but could you please create a special load-out like we can customize just certain material for fusing with arrow or just for throwing with our hand. Yes, there's a sort function but come on, that should be an easy fix by just creating a load-out feature so we don't have to scroll for too long. 3. I'm impress that Korok Forest is running at a stable frame rate but now the Ultrahand ability is the new virus for FPS drop in TOTK. Seriously, everytime Ultrahand got activated, the FPS just drop significantly. 4. The focus or lock on function still **** in my opinion and the range also way too short. The battle with Demon King feels rough because of this because you can switch target in lock-on mode. That's it, seems many but all of that point can't compare to how outstanding the game is. The story also far superior that BOTW, kind of confuse with some reviewer that rate the story as OK or bad but well, narrative is a subjective matter. The story makes me understand why it called "Tears of the Kingdom" GOTY of 2023 for sure

Fire Emblem Engage6
May 23, 2023
Good but Not Good. There's a complete hesitation to buy this game and that's why I just borrow it from my friend and I'm glad I didn't purchase it, I don't like it that well. This game is far inferior that Three Houses. To put into a context: Three Houses is my first fire emblem game and I've also finished Engage, so this is not half experience review as I've encounter every content this game has to offer. The visuals and cutscene of this game is an improvement than the last installment but it also becoming it's weaknesses as well. The cutscene is way too lengthy, believe it or not, the cutscene could take around 10-15 minutes. Completely kill the pacing of this game. I skip every cutscene after Chapter 12 (excluding the cinematic cutscene). Another note from the cutscene or art department, the animation is still lacking like in Three Houses and the interaction also hella weird. You can have a normal conversation after the battle with your enemy before they flee. Makes no sense and kill the tension that should be there. The game is way more free in terms of time because there's no Day Mechanic like in Three Houses so you can grind and bond as much as you want where in Three Houses you need to plan out how to utilize several days in a month. Sounds great right? Turns out, it's a nope. Because of that freedom, the game get tedious pretty fast. Engage couldn't handle it well, the skirmishes will always get generated for you to grind. It's great but for me it becomes annoying as I'm trying to clean the map from those bandits but we'll never be able to clean that out. Exploring around the Somniel also get boring pretty quickly. There's no real value or meaningful activities there. The fact that you can skip going back to Somniel and keep proceeding with the Chapter sort of make Somniel just an extra content. The UI of the game is also confusing. One example: I miss the inheritance skill which I think it's auto equipped but turns out you need to press ZR in the inheritance skill to equip it. Completely a bad design. The variety of the characters are nice and pretty good but they are truly forgettable, not like the way in Three Houses. Even in their combat abilities, they are also forgettable which makes me lock my unit to the one that I like the most from start to end which makes many characters like a filler for my roster. My Lineup will always consist of: Alfred, Celine, Louis, Ivy, Zelkov, Kagetsu, Alcryst, Panette and Merrin. So many things holding this game down which is a shame as this game seems like an Anniversary game for Fire Emblem series but turns out to be a bummer. Luckily the combat is amazing and strategic which is way better than Three Houses.

One hell ****! Seriously, I dislike rouge-like type of game and completely not consider myself to get Hades. But, there's a lot of high praise and talk about that which kind of intrigue me to try it and I end it up getting it while on sale and oh boy, I never feel so hooked into a game since Monster Hunter and Sekiro. The odd thing is, the game feels short but has a very high replayability. I thought I only has played the game around 10 hours or so, but after 10 days my switch recorded that i've played for 25ish hours, like what?! Conclusion: Everything is just amazing about this game. Story, combat, characters and lore. You like rouge-like? I believe you already own the game. You don't like it? Buy it and you won't regret it.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity7
Apr 10, 2023
The game is fine. Another version of Warrior game. For Hyrule Warriors, the game still incorporate some of the BOTW in game mechanic and of course the characters but the rest of it is completely heavy on the tradition warrior. To me, it's pretty fun at first but turns to be boring and tedious along the way. Urbosa and Hestu are the only characters that able to make me put roughly 6-8 hour into the game which after that I drop the game for good. Overall the combat mechanic of every character is well thought out and blend well with their combat behavior in the main BOTW but I don't know, the game just not able to grab me or attract me more. Overall a great type of warrior game than the original warrior game but my favorite still Persona 5 Striker. That game completely does and doesn't feel like a warrior game at the same time which is unique to me.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury9
Apr 10, 2023
Mario 3D World = 8 Bowser Fury = 10 Overall a great game for Mario Fan but all I want is more of Mario Odyssey which Bowser Fury manage to give that kind of freedom and fun of the Odyssey. At first, I kind of confused because many people said that 3D World is better than Odyssey which is why that argument kind of intrigue me to purchase 3D World + Bowser Fury. Turns out, I don't like it that much because we're just playing a linear level and more focused on the platforming. It's not bad, but I just prefer the exploration and freedom in Odyssey more than a linear and more focused level of 3D world. At the end of it, I start to understand why some people said Odyssey weird and prefer 3D World, because 3D World stick to the traditional Mario while Odyssey kind of an open world version of it. On the other hand, Bowser Fury is great. It's like a combination of 3D world + Odyssey. Yes, the level is more linear and focused on platforming like 3D World but the free roam exploration is completely a nice touch for that. Although, Bowser Fury is relatively easy than 3D world and Odyssey. Well, just buy this game if you love Mario in general but if your first Mario game is Odyssey. I don't think you'll love this game. Give me Odyssey 2.

Octopath Traveler II9
Mar 28, 2023
One of the best JRPG I've played. Never play the 1st one but kind of intriguing for the 2nd one which I decide to make a purchase on it and I didn't regret it at all. Only looking at the 1st game and comparing it with the 2nd one, this one has a better visual design in characters and environment which everything look unique and distinct where the 1st one looks kind of bland and every characters look similar. Combat is tight and pretty strategic at some point with the Break and Boost mechanic. I know the word of "tedious" keep coming out when talking about this but I completely fine with random encounter where it exactly helps you to gain enough XP for the upcoming battle so I never under-leveled for it. Story is amazing, some of them are lacking at certain chapter but overall each one of them has a great story from certain chapter. Agnea for example, seems weak at first but as I progress through her story, it's pretty charming and heart-warming. On the opposite for Hikari, starts out pretty strong but turns to be a basic story at the end of it. For characters, everyone of them are amazing. Ochette is my favorite because her provoke ability, although I started with Hikari because he is the strongest one in term of raw power. Agnea and Partitio are weak in my playthrough but I realize that Partitio is way too OP once you are rich and Agnea is the true thief besides Throne. Temenos and Throne is great addition is you often play at night-time. Osvald is crucial when you enter a new area as he will reveal their weaknesses for you and Castti is pretty mediocre for me, nothing special from her besides the concoction ability. Next is Music or OST. Just one word is enough to describe it. "Outstanding". I will purchase the physical CD of the Soundtrack if it's available in my country. Last is more like suggestion for the game which is why I can't give this 10/10. The connection of each character is there with 2 party specific stories and travel banter. But the 2 party stories is pre-determined like Agnea will be with Hikari, Osvald with Partitio and so on. I suggest to work on that in the next installment where you can create "bonding" feature for characters which can create a lot of story path for characters. Although, I do understand that will also limit how this game will approach the game with that feature but I do agree that each character doesn't really connect to each other in terms of storyline. It would be nice if their story collide in one way or another like Temenos and Castti which I think have a potential for a crossed story or Ochette with Hikari/ Osvald with the darkling power mystery. Lot of potential but I know that also create a limitation which is why this might be a homework for the developer to create a better connection for each character in the future installment. Overall, worth the money. 2D graphic is lazy? You are just a baby gamer that value game based on visual, just play your Spiderman/ Horizon Game and shut up dude.

Triangle Strategy8
Mar 20, 2023
Revisit the game, turns out I like the it and it's a pretty decent game. Just want to point out that all I like about the game is the story which remind me a lot of Game of Thrones. Which at some point it's becoming way too obvious and I like that. But of course the world and the plot of Triangle Strategy is not as big as GOT. The decision making feature is also a great one where the decision you make will alter how you view and going through the game. Near the end of the game, I'm being forced to cut ties with one of my allies because of differences in how we view the next step to survive/ winning the battle. It's completely creating a dilemma but with the end of the chapter, I completely convince right away, without consulting with anyone within the roster as I will get rid of Roland. His proposition is completely insane, a desperate and coward kind of move from him. If you like a narrative driven game, this game is completely one of the best out there. Gameplay wise, I don't really like tactics but I manage to finish the game on Easy. The normal difficulty is just so hard for me. Note: >60% of your time playing this game will be all about watching cutscene and interacting with characters which is why this game is lacking in terms of gameplay. The exploration also ****, the world is so small despite the presentation of Norzelia which seems big.

Horizon Forbidden West7
Mar 9, 2023
A Complete Improvement over Zero Dawn but still lacking. Let me start with how impress I am with the frame rate of this game on PS4, completely stable. Forbidden West is basically a great game for every new generation of gamer out there that value game based on its graphics or visual. It's completely gorgeous and stunning. My complain with Zero Dawn is how bland the look of the world and Forbidden West improve on that with creating more vibrant and colorful world. But, that's it. I don't think they create an impactful improvement in other department. Combat is still the same with more variety as well as the skill tree but it's not something new. They just change the design but the feel is completely the same like Zero Dawn which to me Zero Dawn is pretty good. Story still the same or even worst in my opinion as things get more complicated or complex which resulting with a lot of dialogue from every characters in the world. I can for sure say that Forbidden West is the most chatty game within my game library. I can't stand how chatty every characters, including Aloy in the game as I keep skipping it after I met Erend. Performance not that great with some pop in object as well as characters (which is new to me). Some characters texturing also seems buggy or not yet load when I speak to them so they look so soft at the beginning like a baby. Quit the game and I choose to spend my 1 month PS Plus Extra on Yakuza 6 and FF7 Remake instead of Horizon FW because I feel all they do only focusing and promoting the graphics of the game. If this is the future of Sony, gaming will be boring in the future.

It's just a game that makes you play as a cat. That's completely the only description that this game has to offer, nothing else or more. The fact that this game got nominated in GOTY of 2022 is just ridiculous. Sure" out of respect for every cat lovers out there but let's just be real, this game is basically just walking around and playing as a cat, no more than that and there's no replay value at all. This game is all about exploration and a little of straightforward puzzles. Well you play as a cat so the world doesn't feels small but it's actually a very small world which is why the game can be beaten even less than 5 hours or in one sitting of gaming session. "Don't value game base on its length" That's what people said. But let me tell one simple fact behind the game length, the amount of time you need to beat a game is also a reflection of how many content or activities that you can do in the game. Yes, Annapurna manage to create a good looking/ graphic and fluid animation for the cat but Stray completely feels lifeless and it's way too linear for a game that focus on exploration. You don't even have to play the game, just watch it on Youtube and you can completely get the same experience as playing it. Problem with gaming nowadays, good graphic = good game. If that the case, I believe all games out there are considered good and games like minecraft probably feels like crap for them. Well, can't say anything other than generic and basic game that doesn't even deserve 23-25$. And the spot for GOTY 2022 is completely nonsense. Give that to other game like Kirby, Splatoon 3, Gran Turismo 7, and other games that feels like a game.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin5
Feb 12, 2023
Finally buying it out of endless curiosity. Although, I've said that I won't make a purchase for this game due to performance issue but I decided to try it out due to my excitement with MH Rise and MHGU. As I said, I like the gameplay mechanic. It's basically turn based JRPG, no problem at all with simple mechanic of rock-paper-scissors. Previously, I only commented on performance and how wasted the stable feature as you can't nurture your monsters as they have provided you with an asset of the small version of each monster in the game. But, since I'm able to fully play the game now, there are just too many flaws and problem with this game that keeps me hating it even more as I progress through the game. Performance still becoming the main issue of the unpleasant experience. The graphic is not even that high or even the texturing in the game. Everything seems basically soft and flat but the game unable to properly running at a stable frame-rate. Weirdly enough, everything runs smooth on Lulucion where Lulucion seems to be filled with lot of people other than the other 3 previous village. Work on that MHS team, MHR could run flawlessly so it just unacceptable for MHS to be running like a crap. Graphic is the 2nd biggest flaw. I truly never value game based on it's graphics as I keep thinking that good graphics is just a bonus and it won't heavily impact my experience but it's different with MHS2. It's not because of the soft texture or low resolution but the graphics of the game is not consistent. It seems they have 2 separate art direction characteristics for human and environment. It's make the art direction (?) of MHS seems not consistent and that hurts my eyes. Once again, it's not because of texture or low resolution, its all about consistency and they are not consistent with how they approach it in art perspective. Last is of course the story and Navirou. It's better to just remove the story altogether as they can't make an engaging story. You know what? You can make a good story by just working on the lore of the monster itself that has been built in MH series and I believe that will be a lot better than creating a cheesy anime kind of story. Navirou is way too chatty and our characters is just like an NPC. I hate how the closure of Kuan Village's Arc, our characters seems stupid and weak all of sudden and because of that creating a small destruction of Kuan Village. And you better remove Navirou in the next installment, if you plan on continue to work on this series, that cat is useless and annoying. So many of my action got obstructed of his dialogue, so I need to mash the button to make sure my button input is being inserted to the system as well as skipping his dialogue. So many things gone wrong in this game but those 3 points above completely makes me stop to play the game anymore after 18+ hours into the game. Shame, because the gameplay mechanic is absolutely addictive and engaging. Well, the AI of your companion is **** thou.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps7
Jan 26, 2023
Ori has a beautiful level design, environment and the vibe of each area in general. Ori is all about exploration and platforming. Certain area will be unlock once you clear certain area and obtain that ability which not clearly directed within the game where you should go first which is a good part for me, freedom of choice. Although, it would be appreciated to make an easy access to enable mini map at the edge of the screen. Music not clearly distinctive where none of them clearly grab me to search on youtube or other music platform to hear it over and over again. Probably the music just not match the area. Combat is mediocre and could be bad for some reasons. There's not much fighting in the game so I truly didn't expect them to be good at it. Most of the fight with bosses feel sluggish, some of them way too repetitive because they only have probably 2-3 move sets. Ori will gain lot of combat ability along the way but I completely never use any of that besides for the purpose of platforming because that other abilities just seems not practical and serve almost 0 purpose in combat. Here's come the problem with the game, the performance. It's not FPS drop, its a complete STUCK, like your game froze around 3-5 seconds and that happen so often. Sometime, I also move way too fast that the map is not able to load as fast as my movement and my character just floating at the edge of the screen while suddenly the map just blink into existence which seems rough. This kind of make me mad which indicate Moon Studios is a lazy developer that don't want (they can but they just don't want to) to fix this issues. This 1 point completely ruin my experience within the game. Even when I just want to open the menu to look at the map, the screen goes black and sometime its even can reach to 7-10s before they show the menu. Poor optimization for Switch.

I've played this game since PS3 and I bought it again on switch. Feels nostalgic. It's one of the most unique tactical strategy game and it still holds pretty well even a decade later. One thing to complaint about is the port to switch is pretty unstable. Too many FPS drop and it's a complete drop like probably around 10 FPS.

Forgive me for being skeptical about this game. In fact, this game is a great and well balanced racing game I've ever played. I've never been good with racing game and Mario Kart is the hardest I've ever played yet but It's the only game that makes me keep going back. Usually I drop any racing game after 2-4 race but with Mario Kart, something grab me for good. It's very challenging when you are at the top 3 and the game is very forgiving and supportive at the same time for anyone that got left behind. They design the tracks pretty good as I need to replay it several time to know when is the right time to drift or even for a short brake. The best racing game so far.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak9
Jan 12, 2023
Good DLC & Update I love how they improve even further with the combat or weapons mechanic in Sunbreak. I'm Hammer Main and I never imagined that Hammer could become that aggressive with the addition of "Courage" Play-style for Hammer and of course for other weapon as well. Although, I do agree with some of the negative review regarding the content of Sunbreak which is "Not Enough" monster wether its the new one or even the returning one. Well, they add a lot of missions on Sunbreak as I'm still have a lot of Quests to complete but getting bored pretty easily after I beat the end-game monster due to no new monster to hunt. Come on, where's Tetsucabra? Hojo is riding one in Kamura Village which makes me expecting it to be on Sunbreak at the very least. Well, at least you do bring back my favorite monsters, Astalos.

It's a Good Couch Co-Op Game. I don't know what happen with the Score because for me, there's nothing wrong with the game. Everything runs perfectly and it's deliver ton of fun when you play it together with your family or friends. Well, one aspect of the game that I think the developer can improve if they somehow revisit this concept again in the upcoming game is the variation of the decorations. It's somehow bland and not engaging in visual perspective. You can play around with pattern and mixing color between floor and the wall. Currently, the game is kind of predictable in their design where they match the color of the wall and the floor. Other than that, I have ton of fun playing it and it's completely cheap on Switch including the Garden DLC. Must try if you enjoy Moving Out and Overcooked.

Monster Hunter Rise10
Dec 13, 2022
Like it better than World and might be equal to MHGU for me. My first MH game is MHGU and that's where my love for this franchise exist and grow. Then, I enter MHW but somehow it feels like a complete different game. Spent 30ish hours and still cannot get the feel of Monster Hunter in MHW. Then, I decides to enter MHR right away and it just feels like home for me. Definitely they get back to the traditional formula but with QoL from World and it's just delicious. The combat especially is just wonderful, everything feels way faster and I love the adrenaline from the fast combat due to the addition of wire bugs (Insane!). The graphics is great to be honest remembering it being released for Switch and I never feel there's any important or significant compromises that can affect how you view the game. If you compare it to MHW, you are just nitpicking. Monster Hunter is always about gameplay, graphics is just a bonus for me. One thing that I just can't put this on top of GU is because the fact that you only have 1 village, Kamura. In GU you have 4 villages, well not big but it just feels nice as every village has a different theme and feel to it. On top of that, the amount of content in MHR probably only around 30-40% of MHGU. I spent around 70 hours in MHR and basically I finish all the missions (excluding Event, Rampage and Arena Quests). In GU, I've spent 135 hours and just barely play a little content of High Rank. Yes, I've just entered High Rank after 135 hours in the game. Last, one epic moment in Rise is when the OST of Proof of a Hero kicks in when fighting against Narwa and Ibushi make me feels invincible and aggressive all of sudden. Completely brilliant composer. Overall it's a great MH game and I prefer this one over MHW. Will definitely purchase Sunbreak when its on sale (too expensive on Switch).

A great game to motivate someone to workout. Not much to say because its basically a work-out game with a campaign and mini-games to make you feel like you are playing instead of working-out. Some notes only about the difficulty which not making any sense in my opinion. It's poorly design where they only play around with numbers and altering your attack power. I do lot of home work-out so yeah I fill I do some work-out and I think moderate challenge is good enough for me. Turns out they throw 30x squats for me and that's not even enough to kill the monsters. Last, I think it's nice to have a dedicated menu to show the library of all your movement and some highlighted area which muscles that gain from certain movement as well as some explanation and preview of the movement. Currently, you can only see it when you play the campaign or quick session.

Monster Hunter: World8
Nov 10, 2022
It's a great game to begin with but its weaker than MHGU for me. Well from graphical stand point, it's no doubt to be that good and it's quite dense and big as well for only 1 map. Yes, the map is dense but that makes exploring the world quite confusing, so many vegetations and other thing that obstruct how you view the world (not the map). Well, you'll memorize it by the end of it but it's easier to explore around in GU dan in World. And, any herbs, honey, etc. is hardly noticeable because they blend in with the world which is a great one but I hardly collect enough because I keep missing it. Yes, you got the help from scoutfly to locate each one of them but there comes another problem which is lighting of the game is not consistent which mostly makes me lost track of the scoutfly that locate certain object. Speaking of map, the icon of the map seems washed out. I don't know if I can mess around about it in the setting but so far, I didn't find any solution for this. That icon really helpful thou to locate certain object to collect for your Quest. The palico also rarely help you when you get stunned or electrified but they did heal you a lot in battle. Well, I still do prefer to get smacked by my palico when I'm stunned or electrified. Last, it's my preferences but MHW seems to weakened most of their monsters. Like I met Rathalos on GU when I unlock the 5 stars village Quest and I got stun a lot as well as burned. In MHW, I encounter him when I'm on a mission to hunt down Pukei-Pukei (the 3rd Quest I believe). I kinda of hesitant but decided to engage in combat. Turns out, I'm winning without even healing at all. Cutting tail also way easier in MHW than GU. To be honest, this affects the satisfaction kind of feel that I hardly get from World. Overall I do enjoy the game but GU still a better game in my opinion which makes me keep coming back to GU more than World.

Luigi's Mansion 36
Nov 4, 2022
Luigi Mansion is an ok game. There are some drawbacks here that makes me hesitant to finish or even completing it but I manage to finish it. First, the aiming mechanic is way too bad which mostly falls onto how the control responsiveness and direction orientation(?) which I'm not able to get used to that until I finished it. Once you are against some bosses that really rely on aiming, it becomes unnecessarily harder. Second, I don't feel any needs to complete the game or even I want to do it. It's different kind of feeling with Mario Odyssey and Kirby TFL. Luigi doesn't have any clear indication of how the completion process works. Is it just gems? No, there are several things you have to do to unlock a specific achievements which not clearly presented for players. There's also no bar or percentage or even a dedicated menu to look at our achievements, which makes me feels "for what I'm trying to explore the mansion and look for all the gems?" There's no even ANY rewards for collecting those gems. Third and the last one, the game almost has zero guide. If you don't experience this issue, then good for you. For me, I end up feeling lost and confused a lot in the game. I don't know how to reach certain room, I don't know what I miss to progress in that level to encounter the boss and most of it I'm confused how to beat the boss. The game is not consistent with its own mechanic in the game. You introduce us that sunglasses and shield are a thing to repel flashlight so you have to create burst to knock that off from the ghost. But for the boss at floor 6, he has a shield always intact no matter what I do and you know what? He is somehow vulnerable to light while charging even thou he still has the shield while charging. How I suppose to know that? All bosses are so random and didn't stick to certain standard with the game mechanics that they introduce to you. So many trial and error in the game which should not be the case if the game creates a clear mechanics and be consistent about it.

The coolest animation on a game. Feels so weird that the game captivate me with its running animation. It's just an animation, come on. The combat moves also feels so slick and awesome. Although most of it is just smashing button but the game provide a more in-depth kind of move-set and combo that you can learn and make the combat more engaging(?) I guess. The exploration is decent, not really that great but good enough to make you attach with certain chapters. The game design is good so you won't get lost while exploring the area but you might miss out several side quests because some of them not live on the map. That being said, I understand why some people said its getting pretty tedious as I feel the same way. As you progress in the game, exploring feels more like a chore rather than you explore out of your own curiosity. When in combat, the game always throw you to red places (never pay attention to the naming of that place) which feels that you always keep repeating the combat again and again even thou you are fighting a different monsters in every chapters. The rest of it is fine but why every developers follow that kind of trend where the protagonist can't talk? Is it to make it feels like we are them so we can make our own reaction or response to certain situation in the game? Finish the game and I don't think I will replay or even revisit every chapter to complete it.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate10

Trying MHW but cannot feel the excitement, then trying MHR and still in denial mode about Monster Hunter. Then, stupidly enough, I bought this game while on sale when I know I don't enjoy Monster Hunter but, now it's one of my favorite game OAT. I got a copy of MHW from my friend, then I tried it but cannot understand what the heck I'm doing in the game. Then, MHR release so I tried the demo bcs people said its better and still I don't understand a thing about what I should do, items management, etc. When I saw this game on sale, It just kicks me in wanting to try MH again although I know I will dislike it again. This time, I take it slow, I read all the instruction and follow all the tutorials which yeah, it's a lot and took me 5+ hours to finish all that but then it just magic. I love the game. The problem about people dislike or hate the game is bcs we don't understand or don't want to understand the game at all. For me, although I dislike the game, I want to understand and know why people love MH. So, I humble myself (which I'm usually not because game nowadays spoil us too much with making it easier to access and understand) to fully understand what is MH and now I get it and I'm one of them now. Yes, MH has lot of things for you to keep an eye out as well as gameplay mechanic to begin with which makes newcomer like me kind of overwhelm (in my case with MHW). But now that I understand the gameplay mechanic and the core loop of the game, it pumps me up to enter MHW after this game and MHR after that. For you who give this game a bad rating, dislike the game or doubt it, better think about it again to try this game out. This type of game MH, Souls Series, JRPG, and basically every type of game have their specific gameplay mechanic that you need to understand to be able to enjoy it. If you're denying it by ignoring the instruction and didn't give a sht about tutorial, then no doubt you will have a bad time with any game out there. Yes, game nowadays are design in a better way so player can understand quicker and be good in the game pretty quick as well which is why many people can enjoy MHW and MHR where it's their first MH game. Just want to say that don't give up or put down the game because you cannot understand it, just try to understand, look at the gameplay footage, tutorial and explanation so you can understand the game then you can decide wether you like it or not. Game is fun because you understand the gameplay mechanic and all features in it, not because you just smashing the button.

Spiritfarer is a very unique game. It's the real definition of cozy game which its the 1st game that I can fully understand what cozy games like. Spiritfarer is all about you understand/ reflect how you live your life and left with no regret. This game is very emotional if you truly attach to all characters in the game which is a good sign that you fully understand and know them well. Music in this game is fantastic. One of the best for indie type of game. All is good but yeah, i do agree the game get tedious pretty quick. You need to gather and craft things to proceed with the quest. On top of that, you need to sail from corner to corner to gather all the materials which I kind of understand what the developers trying to do. The developer seems want you to enjoy the voyage while manage the kitchen, crops and interacting with all spirits while the ship is on the way to the destination. But, you need to gather lot of materials and sometimes, one location doesn't hold the desired amount that you need, so you need to go to another location or wait for tomorrow to gather the materials again. I only played the game for 10ish hours and already take a break because of that. It's not a type of game that I want to keep coming back. Don't get me wrong, I do love and enjoy the game but I cannot commit myself to keep playing this game for a long time. I probably only spent around 30-60 minutes in the game, then I'm done with it for the rest of the day. Spiritfarer is a great game with fabulous music, stunning art-style, fluid animation, great scenery, engaging story, lovable characters and much more. But, the gameplay mechanic, really kills it for me.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age9
Aug 29, 2022
I kind of understand why people can say this game is the best JRPG besides Persona 5 or even Fire Emblem Three Houses (which a bit different in genre). Dragon Quest XI has a massive world (probably the biggest out there), not like Persona which you only play on the deck of your house and Fire Emblem that only play around in the monastery. So you can explore the world and find lot of things which some of them are jaw-dropping due to the beauty of it. The Academy and Octagonia are my favorite place in DQ XI. The music, OST or BGM (whatever you call it) is heavenly. It's the truth, I play the game mostly only to dive into the world of DQ XI with the majestic yet soothing music. Japanese musicians truly never fails to set the tone for a game. Besides that, DQ XI is truly the default of JRPG. When we talk about JRPG, DQ XI is the closest game that can completely reflect what JRPG is which a good thing IMO but at the same time, they are lacking some unique selling point from big hit JRPG like Persona 5 and Fire Emblem Three Houses as well as the 1st Ni No Kuni. Besides that, the characters is DQ XI is perfect. I love Sylvando, Veronica and Rab due to their quirkiness. On top of that, you can play as your party member because all the party member will get separated in some point in the game which becomes my favorite part of the game because they tried to explore and do things their own after getting separated. The craziest thing is the post-content which act more like DLC for me rather than post-content and it's a big chunk of post content which basically it's equal to 1/2 of the main game. Completely loving the post-content. Overall I do enjoy the game as a die hard JRPG fans and I can say that DQ XI offer the best and the most beautiful scenery out of all JRPG game out there with another one of the best heavenly music to complement that.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land8
Aug 4, 2022
Kirby is fun and cute game but it's just good Kirby definitely take some inspiration from Mario Odyssey and the implementation is good but not as revolutionary as in Mario Odyssey. In Kirby mostly it's only the matter of option instead of functionality and the variations not really that many although the variation comes from you upgrading the abilities which create ton of fun as you progress through each level. Difficulty of the game way too easy even in wild mode but that's understandable as Kirby not aim to be a challenging game, instead become a relaxing game. Luckily, the boss design is fabulous so there's a learning process to save all the waddle dees, just don't use any buff to create more challenging experience while playing. Regarding exploration, it's somehow way too easy, I kind of expect that hidden path should be hardly noticeable but in this game, it doesn't seem like a hidden path at all. It could be due to my habit of playing any game (search every corner) which makes Kirby not really a pleasant experience when it comes to exploration. Mario Odyssey on the other hand, has a lot of hidden path, room, etc which makes exploration more dynamic and fun. Level design is great but somehow (the way I see and experience it) all levels not create equally or at least reach certain standard. Some levels are boring, some are generic and fine, some are fantastic especially the last level which also quite lengthy. Although, I can say that nearing the end, all levels are consistently great. Probably because they throw every element in the game (?) The addition of treasure road are great which create more challenging levels as well as teach you how to fully understand the capabilities of all the abilities. Some levels are too easy and some are total nonsense that I barely reach the target time. Last the the developer decision of FPS lock-unlock is weird. Kirby is a 30 FPS game but when you in the level or shop menu, the game will unlock to 60 FPS. The inconsistencies really bothers me. I prefer to go all the way with 30 FPS instead of jumping from 30 to 60 and then back to 30 again when playing the level. Overall I do enjoy the game although it's completely a very short game for me. The pricing of the game is way too high for such content that offered in the game. Sorry, but I'm a type of gamer that do care about the game length because it's mostly reflect on the content or activities you can do in the game. Of course, compare to the other installment, this one is the best Kirby game ever created.

Perfect Decision to buy this game. No regret at all! I love JRPG so much where Switch is like a home for the genre and holly molly, this game is insanely that good. It's tactical, turn based RPG so it's obviously not for everyone but for JRPG fan, I believe you already bought this game. Story, characters and how you improve as a professor is just an amazing experience besides tons of feature and activity you can do in the game. Completely cannot fully described how good this game is as there are a lot to talk about, you can do lot of things besides combat in this game which is the charm of this game. If you just a casual gamer, you can give this game a try. If you are a hack & slash, action or adventure gamer, I don't think you'll enjoy this game. If you are into narrative or story-driven game, this game has a very engaging story lot of characters that you can nurture your relationship with. Such an incredible game! I've never liked a choice based game due to the tedious process, no clear impact on your choices and no action at all but not for this game. This game create way more impactful choices as you can see it right away the cause of your choices. The story is surprisingly engaging for me about living as an Android where all of them are treat as a tools but somehow they develop free-will along the way that makes them called deviant. The performance of the Voice Actor is phenomenal. They perfectly represent every emotional and intense situation in the game. My personal favorite is the arc of Connor as you can do lot of things like investigation, a lot of action and negotiation for sure. My only complaint for this game is about the clarity of your choices which tend leads you to a negative situation without you intended to. For example: The word "determined" in every choices seems like a positive one but if you play the game you know how "determined" always ruined the situation and your relationship with each characters in the game. Other than that, it's an amazing game and have a very high replayability as well. Must try.

Days Gone3

A total failure and the worst game so far from Playstation Studio. Some even compare this to TLOU2 where it's not even comparable at all. The reason this game is a failure is due to bugs and game design which makes me frustrated like, how can a big studio with big budget (Playstation Studio) produce this kind of low quality game? It's not even reach a half-baked cake at all, it's almost raw. Very unpolished like you can see the developer even confused what they are making here by playing the game. Let's talk about bugs first. So many texture bug in the game, pop-in object, subtitles stuck and missing out of nowhere, levitating while in jumping action and more minor bugs which questionable like how come that have not been fixed yet until now? About the game design, it's the worst for a big studio. More indie developers are even better than this game design. I get it that All Playstation Studios start to create an immersive gameplay by creating an engaging story which include cutscene and that's work but not for Bend Studio. The most ugly design is the transition between cutscene and back into action. Yes, Ghost of Tsushima also did it this way for their cutscene but in GoT is way more make sense because they never insert cutscene between action or combat so you won't get interrupted + the transition is fast. In Days Gone, they force you into cutscene while you are in combat and after you out from the cutscene, you are in the middle of the zombies + the transition or the loading is way too long which kill the tension and the experience of the game. Cutscene is the biggest flaw in this game. Learn from your brother, Naughty Dog, they are the best at creating a flawless transition for cutscene, no black screen needed. The nest seems buggy but I do think that it's not a bug rather than a game design from Bend Studio because it's consistently happened that way for every nest in the game. When you burn the nest, the zombies will just pop in or blink, there's no animation for them to get out from the nest once you burn it. Last, the story. This might be because of my personal preference as I'm getting tired of every game developer creating a post apocalyptic game and it always resulting in making zombies game. Days gone is one of the worst in their storyline. It seems the game is cutting a lot of context in the game like they want to simplifying it but it turns to be janky. No clear context, background and characters building is just nowhere to be found. I'm sorry but poor performance from Voice Actor as well. Drop the game after only 4 hours of playing. I'm glad that I never consider to buy this game. It's playable and the shooting + melee combat works fine but the cutscene design and the story just kill this game for me. No wonder Sony reject an upcoming project that almost becoming Days Gone 2. Perfect Decision Sony!

Super Mario Odyssey10

After playing the legendary Zelda BOTW, Mario is like a heavenly dessert. My 2nd Journey on Switch and it's just "Mama Mia" All levels are well made and optimize which I love all of them, none of them were bad or least favorite to me. Mario Odyssey has crazy level design which I keep saying to myself "How did they make it like that?" Way too many new things, mechanic, feature that will impress you from start to end and it's always fresh, not copy paste kind of thing. They also create numerous way for you to be creative in every level where that creativity will surely leads you to the moon with an unexpected way. Then, later you learn that the game provide you the proper way to get the moon but who cares? Odyssey encourage you to think outside the box and just be free. Cannot fully explain how good this game is where you need to try it yourself and just dive in the world of Odyssey. Pure fun, creativity and excitement from start to end.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy8
Jun 9, 2022
Just Good. It still bring all the good stuff from Uncharted 4 and that's it, nothing like an upgrade or innovative feature in the game. It's the exact same game with different story and protagonist. With that being said, it's good because I love Uncharted 4 but there's something bugging me here. Naughty Dog is famous for their story-telling so I expect more in depth narrative with Nate ex partner here but turns out its way too generic. Uncharted 4 has a very good flow and plot that as you progress you can start to see the whole picture of the game and fully invested in Nathan Drake. With Lost Legacy, I cannot feel that kind of attachment to Chloe Frazer as the reason behind Lost Legacy is way too generic which is a story about father and daughter. This game also kind of promoting the movement of women empowerment which not clearly spoken in the game but quite fit with Uncharted theme. Although, I have to say the plot of the story and the value that the game tries to deliver is way too weak. Uncharted 4 has a better way of delivering the message to the audience about the whole plot in that game. This game is clearly better that the 1st Uncharted but not as good as the 2nd and 3rd Uncharted. When you good at one aspect of the game, we kind of expect more and Lost Legacy falls short on its story-telling compare to the other Uncharted games.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy8

A Flarking Good Game. I can't believe I can like a superheroes game where most of them are **** for me. Guardians of the Galaxy runs smoothly and looks great on PS4. FPS starts to struggle when you enter "Knowhere" but overall the performance is by far very decent for a big game. Only Playstation Studios can achieve this so far and I'm glad you can achieve a great performance for PS4. Story is quite engaging for a superheroes game where I'm not into the movie of GOTG. The only issues is the banter sometimes are just way too long and you cannot move your character and camera when you enter this state. Gameplay is fun and every mechanic in the combat system is well executed. I think this is the best game in terms of team fight but you are the one who control all of your team and its flarking great. The issues that I have is the game still has some game breaking bug. Sometimes I got knock away by enemies and Peter merged with the object in the environment which mean he's stuck and cannot move at all. Then, after I meet matriarch and beat all the "goons" I cannot proceed with the game. I reload the game and restart the fight and turns out there should be a platform for Peter and the gang to climb after that but it's not showing at all before I reload the game. The subtitles also bugging where sometimes the subtitles is not active. I need to pause the game and resume it to make it active again which is weird. Other unpleasant experience is the characters itself when they are not in the cutscene. The Voice Actor did a great job at delivering their lines and making the context of the story clear but the animation team (?) did a terrible job. The VA is quite expressive when delivering their lines but the in game characters face are way too flat, they look like robot. The game is flarking great but I don't think its worth a flarking 60$ so better wait for a sale for this game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The Champion's Ballad6
May 31, 2022
This review is for both DLC as you cannot purchase only one of them. DLC Pack 1 somehow not worth it as you only get 1 extra save slot but you need to restart the game and with higher difficulty. The only worth content is the trials of master sword and travel medallion. DLC Pack 2 is filled with more content where you can upgrade all champion's power where I think it's way too simple for an upgrade as you only decrease the recharge time. On top of that, you can enter some kind of "Divine Beast" to get a motorcycle, huh. I prefer my horse as you will also get ancient gear for your horse so you can call your horse wherever you are and my horse doesn't need a fuel to run. You notice I rate it 6 and its majorly due to the outfits/ armors you get on both DLC which looks cool and awesome but it **** because you cannot upgrade it, like what the flark? There's no point in choosing the DLC armor (besides korok mask) if you cannot upgrade it, it turns out it just for look. Shame Nintendo. With this I can conclude that Zelda BOTW is very unrewarding and unfair (not to compare with other open world game). The game can reward you more but they decide not to, and I think with the DLC they will reward you properly but turns out its a bummer. Well, at least you get a lot of hours more in the game with the DLC as I've played it for around 10-15 hours more with it.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild7
May 31, 2022
Bought my Switch this year and decide to start my journey with Zelda. Well, it's a very great game to begin with. Kind of slow at start because the game set you free from the beginning which you need to learn some of the mechanics by yourself and how things work as well as variation with the combat strategy and how you can utilize your abilities. But, it's the charm of the game and its amazing experience. Hyrule is big and I cannot say its filled with a lot of monster or collectibles but at the same time its not an empty open world, so it's still a pleasing experience to explore the world. Speaking of exploration, all features that necessary for exploring is absolutely well design. Paraglider, climbing mechanic, wind mechanic, mount horse or other animals in the world, etc is just feels right and great. Texture of the game kind of low but overall graphics still great, probably its due to the FPS concern as I've rarely experience frame rate drop but there's a consistent FPS drop on Korok Forest, don't know why (too many trees?) SInce its my first Zelda game I should say the story is good, linear and quite simple to understand the whole point of the game. Hope they can shake things up with the narrative on the upcoming Zelda BOTW. Here comes the point where I just can't stand these issue which I cannot rate this game 10/10. The first 1 point deduction is because: - Weapon Durability = Perfectly Great Feature but wish they add feature to fix the weapon or add smithing feature for us to enhance its durability. Going into Shrine "Test of Strength" is the best example how this feature ruins the experience. You are winning but your weapon cannot keep up with it so you end up losing because you broke all your weapon before defeating the guardian. - Rain = Understandable for weather features but somehow rain has become an obstacle or disaster in Hyrule. How come it got rain everyday? Luckily there's no rain in Goron - Healing = Can you add just one UI to accommodate a fast healing process? I don't mean it need to be a primary feature but just add it as an option because I do understand the advantage of pausing the game and heal yourself but at the same time I think its better to keep the flow of the combat keep flowing without any interruption from the healing process. The other 2 POINTS DEDUCTION is because the COMBAT MECHANICS!! - Lock-on Design = Nintendo, please fire whoever come up with this Lock-on Design. I know you don't want to ruin your fragile analog but what the hell you use "ZL" for lock on. And to complement that, the range to lock-on your enemy is way too short. Whenever I press "ZL" it keeps resetting my camera instead of locking on enemy. The fight with Naboris become a nightmare because of this. - Weapons Swap = The animation to swap your weapon is too long, I keep dying to Naboris because my weapons are broken and it takes way too much time to swap or take another weapon (not to mention if you use a heavy weapon, disaster). To fix this you can run towards the enemy and press the attack button to unsheathe your weapon right away without waiting for the animation. Well believe me, there's way too many features and things to talk about Zelda BOTW and overall its just a magnificent and amazing game. They just need to make the combat more fluid and fix that lock-on feature, please.
