The Daily Beast
A rousing elegy to an underworld saga par excellence and, in particular, to a ruthless and tormented gangster whom, in Murphy’s expert hands, stands as an undisputed crime-fiction icon.

The Immortal Man is very much not a jumping-on point for newcomers to the Shelby gang. But it does capture what made the original series so watchable: The grand scope of history as seen from the ground, the daily grind of crime in sharp contrast to world events, and the everyday men and women just trying to survive it all.

I think it’s the right closure for Tommy’s story. I enjoyed the movie. Cinematography is stunning!

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man offers a no-frills wartime backdrop for Cillian Murphy to make a stirring return as Tommy Shelby, with Barry Keoghan standing toe-to-toe with his Irish compadre in a moving match-up. Serving up some dry humor with a few boisterous action set pieces and a thumping contemporary score to boot, director Tom Harper and writer Steven Knight don't color outside the box, which should please fans of the series.

Straightforward storytelling was never the strong suit of the show, which relied very much on Mr. Murphy’s charisma and that of his co-stars, notably Sophie Rundle, who plays sister Ada Shelby. The future always looked grim in Peaky Blinders, but the fate of the show, which apparently has two Murphy-less years to go in a planned sequel, is beyond uncertain.

What’s worked before works here just as well. Tommy Shelby persists.

Though imperfect, if it were the Peaky Blinders’ last hurrah, it’s certainly a spectacular way to go.

What once felt coolly stylised now seems mannered, even silly. The cufflinks gleam from the heritage cosplay: the razor has dulled.

It's a perfect conclusion to an iconic character who will go down in history, and Cillian Murphy deserves a second Oscar. #CillianMurphyOscar

One of the best TV series of the 21st century and is completed with such a talentless film. What leaves the aftertaste of a bullet, might be that's the gangster world, you never know if you'll be proud or disappointed. The director of the movie seems unfamiliar with the series and even a strong cast does not save this film. It's like the director and writers didn't fully understand what they wanted to immerse the audience in. As unexpected and incomprehensible as the transition from the events of the last season to counterfeit banknotes is, like the story of the Shelbys and their Roma stories. Let's give credit to the best gangster series with a historical background but an uneven ending.

Muy buena actuación de Cillian Murphy. No obstante el film carece de cierta fuerza que si, tenía la serie. Es buena la ambientacion de época. Por momentos es algo pesado, sin embargo mantiene el ritmo de la serie. Aceptable
