Ultimately, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 represents the pinnacle of the series, both gameplay-wise and narratively. The characters are another highlight of the game. They are well-drawn, with only a small amount of formulaicness. [Issue#321]

I began XC3 knowing I'd enjoy it because of the fun I had with the previous games. What I didn't expect was for this to become one of my favorite JPRGs of all-time! With its engaging open world, engrossing combat system, loveable characters and gripping story, this game is a masterpiece of the genre! [Issue #62 – November/December 2022, p. 67]

This is a studio that has created characters with moving arcs and developed stories that grapple with revenge, forgiveness, and even the nature of being. Here, it feels like all that ambition has died and been replaced with Gundam for Complete Illiterates. It’s a tragic regression, all the more so because here and there compelling stories and characters poke through. Alas, they end up buried beneath a mountain of anime tropes and JRPG platitudes. Monolith is better than Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and so are we.

Arguably the best is the series, it has a great hook, great premise, great characters and a great combat system, and it just gets better and better. It does fizzle out towards the late game, but the ending does save it.
And the villains are lackluster, bar a few exceptions.

Gigantyczna i bardzo jakościowa gra RPG.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 zachwyca na każdym polu.
Seria Xenoblade Chronicles jest dumą Nintendo.

9.5/10 Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a powerful JRPG that blends the strengths of the series into a darker, more mature story about war, identity, and time. The combat system is refined and highly strategic, with class swapping and Chain Attacks adding depth. The world is vast and atmospheric, and the music is phenomenal. Side content is excellent, though menus can be dense. Its emotional story and cast make it one of the strongest entries in the series.

At its core, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a story of the pursuit of freedom and the endless possibilities of the future - and as a game, it's the embodiment of that theme, with an unrestrictive world and a blueprint for how to build a masterpiece JRPG moving forward.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the games of the year. There are moments that will make you laugh, get involved with what's happening... And also cry. The combat adds layers in a tremendously effective way throughout the many hours of gameplay, while the exploration and pacing of the title never fail to take totally effective turns. Perhaps it could have risked a little more in a couple of moments, which would make it rise to the Olympus of J-RPGs, but it is still one of the best titles of this genre in recent years.

This epic adventure is the culmination of the series. The world is vast and filled with combat sequences while also providing an engaging plot to suck you in.

Another major success for Monolith Soft; Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a contender for the Nintendo Switch’s best role-playing game and one of its most impressive technical achievements.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 perfectly combines threads from previous instalments while remaining welcoming to newcomers. It’s based on very enjoyable combat mechanics and offers an interesting world to explore, but it’s a shame that dated graphics and intrusive invisible walls make it look like it was released a few years ago. I’m also disappointed that the developers decided to stick to what worked well twice before instead of making a step forward that the series could use.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 just cannot get out of its own way. This is, after all, a game that provides a tutorial on how to complete tutorials, and it keeps piling on slight mechanics well into the 20-hour range.

Its just really stunning for a switch 1 game it looks really really good the story is the best in the series but the fighting system is more of a downgrade compared to 1 and 2 but its still my favorite xbc

Solid 9 for the gameplay and combat, 6 or below for the rest of the game. The main problem with the game, and most Xenoblade Chronicles games is that the story starts awfully slow and it's by far the most boring story from all the other XC games that I have played. I tried to play it about 5 times and evey time I would stop playing because the story was so bland and I did not feel at all for most of the characters. By the end of the game I started caring more about some of the caracters that were boring at first and the characters that seemed interesting had a very boring and stupid ending imo. What makes it even worse is the main villains of the story, they are so bland and uninteresting that I had more fun killing random monsters on the map. The personality of most of the characters seems to be based on someone close to them dieing and that's their whole personality. "Someone one I cared about died and now I feel sorrow". When I started playing XC3 i had just finished XC2 and that game was a rollercoaster from start to finish. What saves the game is the combat. The gem system is plain stupid. There are thousands of materialsthat you find everywhere and that are needed to craft stuff but there is no way to tell where to get them from. By the end og the game I had some gems at level 8 or above and some at level 2 because I crafted them with nopon coins, not because the materials dropped. It should have had some way of tracking where to find different materials. I wasted over a million coins at the fabricators and farming different bosses around the maps and the materials still did not drop. Where you do get materials to craft the gems is farming various bosses after you finished the game which is lame imo. Yous should not have to wait for 100+ hours to be able to fully enjoy the game. Future redeemed had indeed redeemed this game. Fun story from the first few minutes, fun characters that you feel for right from the start and makes me want to help them on their journey. They managed to create a fun combat system that does not get boring but the rest of the game seems to me not up to par with the rest of the games in the series. The ending did not make any sense at all to me.
If you really want to make excuses for a mediocre story you can, but if you look at it for what it is, you will see that this is not even close to the rest of the stories in the series and the ending is disappointing, to say the least.

I really don’t understand the good reviews. 15 hours in and it has been so boring. I’ve been hoping it gets better but no. Just boring. Great game before bedtime.

+ Soundtrack is nice, though it still pales in comparison to XC1, XC2 and even XCX + World and enemy design are exactly what you would expect from a Xenoblade title - Storytelling and dialogue is absolute drivel that makes no sense - Protagonists and villains alike are utterly unlikeable - Character class systems are too malleable, making every character play the same - Chain attack system breaks boss fights in an unforgiveable manner - Graphics and abysmal draw distance somehow look worse than XC2
