Gran Turismo 710
Jan 22, 2026
I was quite shocked to see the user score of 2.6 here. I have been playing Gran Turismo since the first game. My favorites up to now were 3 and 6. But with all the content updates and the polish over the years, this game just feels so incredible. I am now playing the power pack challenges, for the first time with PS VR2. Honestly, it's hard to describe just how awesome this feels! But the real game changer is the Spophy AI. With these intense battles on track, the races really come alive. GT7 no longer feels like you are driving for your self with some moving obstacles. It now feels very much like being on track. And this feeling alone is worth 10 out 10 for me, even if I still cannot comprehend why you have to be online at all time in order to play this game.

Yooka-Replaylee9
Jan 20, 2026
I had a lot of fun with Yooka-Replaylee. It recaptures a lot of the elements from games from my childhood and is mostly just fun. I have beaten the game with roughly 200 of 300 pagies and in 10 hours, so there is still plenty to do. Technically, it is a beautiful game even on the Switch 2, but I sometimes missed the possibility of playing it in higher framerates. It's not a major dealbreaker, but it is notable, especially in docked mode. I ended up playing it mostly in handheld which was smooth enough not to spoil any of the fun. Overall, I really recommend this game if you grew up with 3D-platformers or are curious to get into this kind of genre.

Cronos: The New Dawn9
Jan 5, 2026
Cronos is an exceptional horror game. It has a dense atmosphere and a great and interesting story and setting that makes it really worth to put yourself through this hellscape. Yes, the game is pretty difficult, even if you get inventory management and strategy right. But once you figure out how to optimize your play style, it's manageable. If you are looking for a "easy mode", just activate the aim assist. This will not make the enemies easier but at least help you to conserve some valuable ammo. And the hardship makes this game stay inside your head even more. I have played all Resident Evil games, the Deadspace Remake and the Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos does not need to hide from these games in any way. Hope this gets a sequel.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond8
Dec 23, 2025
A game with many highs and some considerable lows. I think the current average score of around 8 (80) is representative of the game. I had a good (if short) time with Metroid Prime 4. My biggest complaint is not even the open-ish world. I actually had quite some fun cruising around with the bike. But there are some sequences that are just outright boring (when you get swarmed with endless hordes of enemies for example). It feels like retro doesn't not really know, what gameplay elements are really great. That being said, when they hit, they hit hard. The length of the game is a double edged sword for me. I usually enjoy a compact experience. It took me a bit more than 10 hours to finish the main story. For a game of this scope (and with quite some backtracking), this feels a bit too short though, especially considering that this game took this look to be made. All in all, I enjoyed Beyod but I had a much better time with Dread.

Donkey Kong Bananza10
Jul 29, 2025
Bananza is an interesting case. Nearly everyone was bummed when they saw the first trailer. But the game got better with each glimpse we saw. And somehow the same applies when playing it. In the beginning hours, this would have been a 8-9 to me. Responsive, fun to control, charming with good graphics. But something was lacking. But the further you get, the more fun it is. It seems the team behind Odyssey never runs out of great ideas. So far, my favorite DK game was Donkey Kong Country 2. I might change my opinion on that.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 3310
Jul 4, 2025
As a fan of classic FF games and modern From Software games, this beautiful Game did a great job of entertaining me throughout the entire game. The late game-balancing is a bit weird in places but this should not take away any of the stellar achievements of this studio's first installment. If you remotely enjoy turn based RPGs, this is the right game for it. But if you need further proof, just look at the user-score on metacritic.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition10
Jun 17, 2025
I did not expect that I want to revisit this game any time soon but after having a little try with the Switch 2 version, I was immediately hooked again. Weather you prefer BOTW or TOTK or even the "old Zelda formula" is up for debate and personal taste. But this game is still a masterpiece of game design and still feels like a breath of fresh air to me. The updated graphics make a nice difference and somehow, I feel like I am experiencing a new game when playing this after all these years.

FAST Fusion8
Jun 10, 2025
Fast Fusion is a great game, especially considering that it is available at a very reasonable price. The handling feels great, the graphics are very sharp and the music is a blast. There is not a lot of content (yet) though. 12 tracks are not that much, but at least every one of them has a distinct identity and is well designed. Overall, I can really recommend this game if you are looking for a good racer for your Switch 2. If you like future racers, feel free to add another point to the rating.

Mario Kart World10
Jun 10, 2025
Mario Kart World is a wonderful game full of beautiful attention to detail that showcases the love for Mario Kart and the Mario Universe as a whole. The driving feels great, the track design is imaginative and Knockout Tour steals the show in my opinion. Yes, the Open World is not much more than a bonus and yes, I would love to have more core tracks. But I cannot stress enough, how much fun the game is both alone and with friends. Playing videogames for more than 30 years now, it is not that often now, that I have a constant grin on my face. But MKW did exactly that for me. I cannot say if MKW will beat MK8 in the long run. But it's pretty easy to recommend this game for anyone who likes Mario (Kart).

Persona 5 Royal10
Feb 8, 2021
I usually don't write reviews before completing a game but after a bit more than 10 hours in, there is no way this is not a 10/10 game. I did not play the original nor any other Persona game before and was very reluctant to start the game because of it's incredible lenght. Well, time really flies here. There is so much to do and not even things that might sound tidious are boring. Everything you do contributes in your progress in some way and the characters are so interesting, you just want to get invested. I have watched many reviews and spoke to a couple of riends about the game but aside from "you have to play it" (which is true), there is no way to tell you how good this game really is unless you play it yourself. Moreover, it reminded me why I fell in love with JRPGs back in the day. I am looking forward to play many more hours of this piece of art.

Cyberpunk 20779
Jan 4, 2021
Let me declare that this review is for the PS4 version played on the PS5. After 30 hours in, I feel I can rate this game with 9 of 10. Yes, it's very rough around the edges (be it the many bugs, be it some inconsistencies with the interface or the sometimes bad mixing of the dialogues). Gameplay is not always perfect but once you invest a bit more in the direction you want your character to develop (and there are many options), Cyberpunk 2077 gets very satisfying. What makes the game stand out really are the great characters, the interesting and imaginative world and the great dialogues. For me, the game really fluctuates between a 7 and a 10+ game but up to now, it kept me heavily invested and I can't wait to uncover more of its great stories in Night City.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity8
Dec 9, 2020
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a suprisingly great game. Even if it doesn't add a lot to the already great story and lore of "Breath of the Wild", it packs gameplay that is fun in this great world and brings a credible and (in my opinion) well-written prologue story. Sure, the gameplay mechanics wear off after a while and the game could be "braver" in exploring that time before BOTW, but it is a fun and enjoyable experience through and through. If you are a fan, you can add 0.5-1 to the score.

Oct 13, 2020
This is an incredible game and a technical marvel. The gameplay is fun throughout and the quest all feel well written and interesting. So nice to dive into this richt culture. The only thing I didn't like so much was that the open world was a bit to heavily packed with side activities like iniari shrines but I guess that's only me complaining. Big applause for that level of optimization. Nearly no glitches, super fast load times, no texture pop-ups and all that with some of the most stunning setpieces I've seen in a game so far. **** Punch created a timeless classic here. Well done!

Yes, this game has fillers and yes, sometimes the tone shifts a bit too quickly from serious to weird but all is forgiven thanks to an amazing battle system, great characters and a great reimagening of the original story with a plot twist that is kind of hard to get but very well done in my opinion. I did not enjoy playing a game this strong since a long time. Looking forward for that story to continue, no matter what they come up with next.

I don't care about the lack of fidelity of this version compared to the "real" remaster. For me, this is the definitive way to play and enjoy dark souls. This is an excellent port of an already great game. It comes with small improvements in the gameplay area that don't let us forget that success has to be earned but ultimately make the game more playable. The graphics are just beyond amazing. This is exactly how Shadow is supposed to look. There is no excuse anymore, this modern classic needs to be experienced by everyone.

The Evil Within 29
Nov 16, 2017
This is a great game. I really liked how the story was told and the overall experience is just much more consistent than in its predecessor. The first half of the game feels like a proper horror game with great atmosphere and horrifying art direction. The second half feels a bit more action oriented but still is great. Especially because they've improved gunplay. I have to say something about the difficulty too. If you play the game in "casual", it will rather feel like an action game (similar to RE5). However, if you choose to play it on "survival" or more difficult, every encounter will feel tense and you really want to make every shot count. I liked both experiences equally. Overall very recommended. Mikami and his team still no how to do it!

Gran Turismo Sport10
Oct 18, 2017
The released version of GT sport impresses with stunning visuals and the superb handling we know and love Gran Turismo for. The approach for the online match making is also great and I hope that we will see fair and great racing in GT Sport. As it is now, it certainly lacks a bit of content (I especially miss tracks) but I am very positive that we will get this content soon. I rather have a polished core experience as a solid foundation than tons of content and bugs (like for example the early release version of the first Project CARS). Btw: GT Sport is best enjoyed with a stearing wheel.

After more than 10 hours with this masterpiece, I can say that it's not without flaws but ultimately that doesn't matter becaue it's still miles ahead of anything else I played in the last 5-10 years. The liberty you have is just great, the world is beatuiful and there are so many different approaches to reach your target. I seriously can't understand why people are rating this so low (Are that desperate because the Xbone doesn't get any good exclusives any more?). Don't let yourself be fooled by this sad console wars and people **** about the game doesn't run at 30 fps all the time. This is a truly unique game that needs to be experienced to really understand its beatuy. Thanks Aonuma san, thanks Nintendo!

Titanfall 29
Dec 12, 2016
This is probably the best shooter you will play this year - hell, maybe even for a very long time. I am not so much into the genre but as it stands, titanfall 2 is a fast, fun and visually impressive journey that is worth the money for the great campaign alone. To bad that EA does not know how to get the marketing for this gem right. I begin to understand why previous call of duty titles were well received - they were developped by the same company.

Ride 29
Oct 10, 2016
For motorcycle enthousiasts, there is not much to complain about ride 2. It might not be the most beautiful game and the presentation could be a bit more spectacular. But when it comes down to riding, bike and track selection, this is just pure fun. To me, the most important improvement over its predecessor are the greatly improved load times. For all car arcade racers: It is a motorcycle game and a semi-simulation. Don't expect to go around corners like in ridge racer or you will be disappointed.

Ride does what it has to do and it does it remarkably well. The phisics are good, the bike selection is great and the game overall motivates being played. If I have complaints with this, it's the limited track selection for original circuits. Overall, I think Milestone should have got more credit for Ride because it's really a nice game and the first since Tourist Trophy that follows that Gran Turismo for bikes approach.

This is truly a piece of art and one of my favourite games so far this year. Limbo was my first "indie game" back when it came out and this is a more than worthy successor. Inside's dark and creepy atmosphere and the great puzzles don't leave a lot to be asked for. Now I want to play limbo again.

Assetto Corsa10
Aug 31, 2016
I don't get people. Assetto Corsa really shines where it counts most: The driving feeling. Even though it feels incredibly realistic and organic, it's actually pretty easy to pick up. What I don't understand: This game was never advertised as arcady game or equivalent to GT or Forza. So what are you complaining about? You will not get a better driving experience on console. If you own a wheel, this is a must buy!

Assetto Corsa10
Aug 23, 2016
It never felt so responsive and authentic to drive a virtual car before, given you use a propper steering wheel. The physics just feel right. Even though it's a real simulation, you don't spend countless laps spinning your car, just because you can really feel what the car is doing. No comparison to project CARS. And the graphics are really good too - polished enough yet providing a really good performance (even on console).

Running, gunning, flying, diving, racing, exploring, puzzle solving, etc. there is just so much to do. And even better: Every gameplay mechanic is so well executed, that it never feels like it should not be in the game. It's a nice throwback to days when games were more about creativity and not so much about realism but it feels fresh and polished as well. The graphics don't need any words, just look at some gameplay material and you will find your jaw dropped.

Awesome game so far. Great controls, very well paced and lots to explore. It surely isn't an easy game, probably it will even be one of the hardest you play this year, but it's all the more rewarding. The art dicrection is pretty cool as well. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine9
Jun 27, 2016
It's really, really good. But it also has to deal with some of the Witcher's shortcomings more often than the main game. The controls are just not as precise or responsive as in other games of this genre. That said, Blood and Wine is still worth playing and you will not get an expansion that offers so much bang for the buck anywhere.

People are complete morons when it comes to rating games these days. Yes, it is Far Cry and it does what Far Cry does - but it does it pretty well and in a beautiful and well realized scenario, we did not have before. The story and characters lack of depth, but that's quite the problem of this open world formula. The gameplay itself is still really, really good so if you want to have some fun 10000 BC, Far Cry Primal is your game!

I haven't played through the entire game yet but I am pretty convinced, that the Witcher 3 will get even better from here. It's beautiful, huge and believable world is truly the star of this game. It just feels right to be there and you get immersed pretty quickly. The reason this game doesn't get a 10 from me is that its combat lacks of refinement compared to my reference Dark Souls/Bloodborne. I appreciate the options it gives you but overall It just doesn't feel that great and I can't imagine that will change.

But the game itself is just another proof of what great things developer rocksteady can achieve (I am thrilled to see what they will do next). FFVIII was my first final fantasy and at the same time the first game I remember for its story and presentation. I’ve played through FFVI-X and all the XIIIers and this one is still my favourite installement of the series (As I write this, I am playing through FFIX which might as well compete for the status). I just like the overall atmosphere of this game, the characters are quite nice and the world is still more engaging than what I see nowdays. Plus there is Ueamtsu San’s music which always makes a good game a great one. FFVIII is not perfect, but it’s still a masterpiece to me.
