FAST Fusion
Fast Fusion is without a doubt the perfect racing title for those looking for something as an alternative to Mario Kart World and the retro-fuelled F-Zero GX. It still doesn’t quite feel as feature-complete as Fast RMX yet, but Shin’en is doing a fantastic job of pumping out free extra content into this Nintendo Switch 2 futuristic, high-octane experience to keep fans coming back for more. For now, though, brace yourselves for stunning visuals, a pumping soundtrack, and some of the most edge-of-your-seat racing ever witnessed.
For now, Fast Fusion scratches the high-speed sci-fi racing itch, and it’s a great showcase for what’s possible with the Switch 2 — and what a new F-Zero might, someday, possibly look like.
Fast Fusion is a very impressive showcase of the Switch 2’s graphical capabilities. A decent range of tracks and the awesome fusion mechanic definitely make it worth checking out (especially at its unbelievably low price tag), though some frustrations with progression and borderline unfair AI rubber-banding hamper the overall experience.

Good game overall. Feels like a spiritual successor to F-Zero and Wipeout. It feels really nice to play, and looks nice. However, there isn't too much content there, you should be done with it in around 2 to 3 hours (although it is cheap, since it costs 15 bucks).

This is one of the first games I played on the Switch 2 at launch and I got to say this was a pretty fun game for a day. Visuals looked fantastic and as advertised framerate was smooth. Gameplay was simple and fast and I enjoyed it quite a bit up until the point I just hit a wall and was tired of the loop. I am glad I played this game cause it really showed off the Switch 2 and has a lot to offer it. Maybe its because of the other Switch 2 games staring at me during the launch window but as quickly as these vehicles went so did my excitement. I won't discredit the game, I had a lot of fun while it lasted.

Being the 3rd entry in the franchize. It does not add much. I see the reason for that being that there is not much to add to a game like this. I LOVE the switch mechanic to get boosts on boost pads. It adds skill that ive never seen in any other franchize, but the again. this could be said about any other game in the franchize. The reason the first game has such high reviews and this game does not, is for that exact reason. Its been well over 10 years. But this does not mean this game is bad. I love it.

Fast Fusion’s least exciting mechanic might actually be the one in its name — the fusions themselves are fine, but let’s be honest: we’re all here for more anti-gravity racing that pushes the Switch 2 to its limits — and we’re only a couple of weeks into the system’s life. For the hardcore, there are the added challenges of Time Attack and Superhero modes, but for everyone else who just loves a good race, Fast Fusion still delivers the fun.

Fast Fusion may not have the most comprehensive collection of tracks, but it's easily the most accomplished entry in Shin'en Multimedia's series so far. The new jump ability adds a new layer of strategy to the gameplay, while experimenting with the fusion mechanic to find the perfect vehicle is a joy. The occasional grinding to save up money can be a momentary drag, but if you're after something a bit more 'hardcore' than Mario Kart World, Fast Fusion is a no-brainer, and an absolute must-buy.

If you liked F-Zero, you will love this game. For $14.99, you get a lot of content. Also, the game looks absolutely stunning.

People need to realize this game was developed by just three (!) core developers (six if you include the music team). That alone makes the end result incredibly impressive! Some are unfairly comparing it to Mario Kart World, but let’s be honest here. MKW is a full-priced €80 title developed by a massive team at Nintendo. Fast Fusion, on the other hand, is only €15 and was made by a tiny indie team. The level of polish and fun you get here is outstanding. And speaking of Nintendo, it's refreshing to see Shin'en Multimedia step up where Nintendon't... We've been waiting over 20 years for a new F-Zero game... The devs are also actively listening to player feedback. A major update has already dropped, adding new tracks and a "Pure" rendering mode that runs at 1440p docked and 1080p handheld, without any upscaling. That level of support is rare. Massive props to Shin'en Multimedia. I hope Nanostray makes a return next!

Shin’en Multimedia delivers a fast-paced arcade racer with an excellent sense of speed, fun mechanics, and impressive visual performance, although it lacks online multiplayer and suffers from limited track variety and strict collision detection.

Priced at just 15 euros and with the promise of free content to come, Fast Fusion is a very good futuristic racing game that will surely delight fans of the genre. It doesn't burden itself with anything superfluous and races towards the finish line at hypersonic speed to the sound of frenzied electro music. With more circuits, in-depth ship customization, and a real campaign mode, it would have reached new horizons. As it stands, Shin'en's game is a 100% arcade experience full of thrills that you would be wrong to miss out on.

FAST Fusion is a delightful racer with lightning-fast gameplay and some cool new mechanics. The game doesn’t offer a huge amount of content, but that’s perfectly fine for a price of 15 euros. Once again, FAST proves to be the ideal racer to alternate with Mario Kart. Visually, the game runs incredibly smoothly, although I do hope the image quality in handheld mode gets a bit of an upgrade through a patch.

Fast Fusion is available at a budget price of $14.99. Compared to some other Switch 2 games, it's super cheap, and it definitely gives players their money's worth, even with the lack of proper online multiplayer and misguided progression. Racing game fans that need something a little different from Mario Kart World should consider giving Fast Fusion a look. As long as they are aware of its shortcomings, they should still walk away satisfied with the overall package. Plus, Fast Fusion has new content on the horizon that should make it even more worthwhile.

Shows off the Switch 2 graphics well and for what it is, you can't beat it at the price point. Fills the F Zero hole in our hearts quite nicely.

Another FAST game, another tip-of-the-cap to F-Zero and WipEout and another great installment. The game looks great, runs really well, and the fusion and jump mechanics are awesome. I just wish there were more vehicles. Fast RMX, while great, was too fast for its courses. Fast Fusion found a good balance... mostly. Unfortunately, like with Fast RMX, keeping the same courses for all three speeds sometimes backfires. Sometimes you go way too fast in hypersonic for the track and it creates a big issue. Another huge issue is the awful rubber-banding in this game. No matter how fast you go, and no matter how perfectly you drive, the AI is right up your butt and they constantly spin you out. It really takes away a lot of enjoyment. They released a patch addressing it but honestly, they need to release another patch. Overall, this is a great game that is absolutely worth your time, but it could use more content and machines, and the awful rubber-banding needs to be addressed. This game is more fun than Mario Kart World, though.

This is an impressive game for the launch of Switch 2 but it is not as good as the masterpiece the GOAT Mario Kart World

Better than Mario Kart but the online is still abysmal. It's $20 for yearly online yet 0% of went to investing to their servers. It's still p2p thus having a lot of random disconnects, lags, bugs, & button delays which is a major issues when trying to make a turn in a fast paced game.
