The Bat could not have hoped for a better send off. Graphically astounding, narratively compelling, and featuring two utility belts full of new gadgets. This is bat-time very, very well spent. [September 2015, p72]

Arkham Knight is quite simply the Batman game that anyone who obsesses over the caped crusader always dreamed would exist.

With a detailed open world, dynamic but understandable combat, and a gripping plot, undoubtedly one of the best games I've played.

The technical aspects are not only eye-popping but they’re also quite stable. The graphics are slick, the sound is stellar, the control is rock solid, and the gameplay variety is downright tremendous. I love the blending of puzzle, stealth, action, and adventure, and you have to give mad crazy props to the overall game design. I still say the story could be less predictable (perhaps give the player a little more credit in terms of literary comprehension) and the Batmobile, as awesome as it can be, is just overdone.

Worth Playing
The improved combat and predator systems are worth the cost of entry, and a lot of the core combat mechanics are still the best in the genre. Unfortunately, it's held back by a somewhat weak Batmobile mechanic and a lackluster plot.

A dense and enthralling action-adventure game with a winding, if predictable, story that does make you feel like the Batman both inside and outside the Batmobile. There are too many Batmobile gameplay segments, however, making this predominantly similar in theme to that Batmobile-focused Batman arcade game.

Arkham Knight is distressingly inorganic. Continuing the predictable trend the franchise, the game learns the wrong lessons from its predecessors.

Beautiful graphics Fun filled open world - Activity filled, but not cluttered with the same ****. Every tower is unique. Excellent and responsive enemy AI - If you take out a lot of enemies quickly without being detected, you can see the enemies looking around wildly, some even outright surrender. This game makes you feel like batman - the fear, responsive combat, the feeling of omnipotence - mwah. Contrary to popular belief - I like the batmobile.

Batman: Arkham Knight delivers a stunning Gotham City, excellent combat, and a strong conclusion to the Arkham saga. However, the overuse of the Batmobile, uneven story choices, and repetitive sections hold it back from greatness. A visually impressive and enjoyable finale with some frustrating flaws.

My 2nd favourite in the Arkham series. Loved the improved traversal and the batmobile was a solid addition to gameplay. The game looks beautiful and the combat is the most fluid it's ever been. The story was an absolute rollercoaster that I was enthralled in, really enjoyed the horror/jumpscare elements too. Only thing I can ding it for is the insufferable riddler trophies, weak dlc's and the woeful community challenges. Also the game crashed multiple, multiple times which was such a drag considering it takes +2mins to get back into the game thanks to unskippable logos. At it's core, it's a great game.

Batman: Arkham Knight is a bloated finale that leans too heavily on the Batmobile, turning Batman into a tank driver. The story is predictable, the open world feels empty, and it lacks the tight focus and charm of its predecessors. Disappointing.
