Cronos: The New Dawn is far and away the best work Bloober Team’s put out and a splendid survival horror game in its own right. What starts as a post-pandemic Dead Space cover version becomes its own brand of scary that conditions paranoia into its players with undeniable expertise. There's a great script to go with the A-grade psychological puppeteering, and the whole package deserves to be seen as a genre classic...I am truly impressed.

Cronos: The New Dawn establishes Bloober Team in the survival horror genre with a 15-hour linear campaign set in devastated cities. Inspired by Dead Space, the game blends sci-fi, horror, and strategic gunplay. Despite FPS drops and slow texture loading, it delivers an immersive experience with strong atmosphere and an engaging narrative.

Cronos: The New Dawn doesn’t reinvent survival horror but excels with strong storytelling, atmospheric world design, and engaging gameplay. While its scares lean on clichés, it still delivers a gripping and entertaining experience.

Classic survival horror fans will thoroughly enjoy the gameplay and design of Cronos: The New Dawn. The extremely grounded and heavy feel to movement and aiming mixed with puzzle solving and ammo/resource conservation is masterfully executed. The world and the atmosphere mix dreariness with vibrancy and the game offers unique dynamics for puzzle solving that haven't been seen in other titles. It plays like a Souls-like and involves a lot of trial and error, but you continue to want to push on. The console experience is solid enough with performance, but if the option for PC is available for you, this would be preferable. In terms of replayability, the story is solid and its portrayal is great, but you'll mainly be playing through at a faster pace on a playthrough. It's definitely more than sixteen hours in its first playthrough. Cronos: The New Dawn offers a fascinating story, but the classic survival horror elements blended with new ideas make it essential for fans of the genre.

Cronos: The New Dawn doesn't try to impress you with intense skirmishes or spectacular set-pieces; instead, it offers a slow, oppressive, and deeply atmospheric experience. If you appreciate survival horror in its most pure form—with a lack of resources, constant tension, and a story that leaves room for interpretation—then this game undoubtedly deserves your attention.

Cronos: The New Dawn is easily the most confident original game that Bloober Team has ever produced, but this unfettered ambition also brings with it teething issues that are awfully difficult to overlook. Combat is punchy yet clunky, exploration is atmospheric but predictable, while the central narrative is often held back by lacklustre performances and clumsy writing. There is a great survival horror game at the centre of Cronos, but it would have been much stronger if it had broken new ground rather than wondering tentatively on what came before.

Cronos: The New Dawn is filled to the brim with potential, that ultimately falls short in how it executes all of its concepts. While there is a great story foundation and some interesting mechanics, the lackluster conclusion to the narrative, combined with irritating combat, frequent glitches, poor pacing of traversal, and repetitive gameplay scenarios make for a product that fails to capture the quality of other entries in the genre.

Please, give us more linear games. Nobody can take any more open-world games."

Awful stories and characters design.Most characters talk like they're on drugs.What a waste of talent from someone who can creates one of the best flashlight lighting technique in dark areas+most unique psychological jump scares.I wish i could stick a giant needle into that MC bubble head and make it pop like a baloon.BlooberTeam should just stick to SilentHill remakes since Character design and stories are already prepared for them.They seriously sck at this 2 particular department

Гра чарує, цікавий сюжет, густа атмосфера, в гру просто хочеться грати… але є такі жирні АЛЕ… опишу одну ситуацію.Ти йдеш від точки сейва до арени — приблизно 15 хвилин геймплею. По дорозі не відбувається нічого цікавого: ти просто методично розстрілюєш дрібних ворогів, бо інакше пройти неможливо. Коли доходиш до арени, у тебе майже не залишається боєприпасів.Арена активується після взяття ключа. Перед нею — мінімум ресурсів. Складається враження, що розробники взагалі не закладали сценарій, у якому гравець підходить до цього бою з адекватною кількістю набоїв.Ти заходиш на арену й майже одразу розумієш: стріляти просто нічим. Є автосейв прямо перед ареною — невдалий, бо він фіксує тебе вже в цій ситуації. Є й ручний сейв — але він на 15 хвилин раніше.Я повертаюся назад, уважно обстежую локацію, підбираю кожен можливий патрон, купую все, що дозволяє торговець: 6 патронів для пістолета і 4 для дробовика. Це все. Більше купити неможливо.Повертаюсь на арену. Знову витрачаю всі набої. І цього разу мені не вистачає буквально кількох пострілів — на полі бою залишаються всього два вороги. Я точно знаю, що з ідеальною точністю, без жодного промаху, можливо, цього б вистачило. Але гра не має змушувати проходити арену в режимі «без права на помилку».Я помираю. І тут вилазить ще одна проблема: автосейви працюють лише один раз, а не оновлюються при кожному вході. У підсумку я знову стартую з тієї самої точки за 5 хвилин біга по зачищеним локація до арени.І така ситуація з тобою трапляється постійно. Ні баланс боєприпасів, ні логіку сейвів, ні комфорт гравця в цілому.

Ok game with plenty of faults. Repetitive enemy and atmosphere, they make if difficult in a easy way that results from low ammo and clunky movement, but then relatviely easy game at the same time. Fully linear with not much thought or exploration. Regret getting the game even if it was on sale - way too expensive even if it was on sale. I'm a completionist so Im trying to finish the game and having really hard time to keep playing.

quelle deception, le même ennemi en boucle, le scenario vide, l'ambience musicale absente, le gameplay étudier pour être deplaisant.... Le maintenu des balles pour tirer, injoiable à la manette etc....
