Until Dawn is a damn near perfect game, which just breathes horror on every level. The game puts you in control of a group of teens and terrifies you while doing so. This is a must have if you own a PlayStation 4.

Until Dawn is the best port from a movie genre (teen slasher) to an interactive experience.

An absolute masterpiece. A pioneering decision-based game. While there is not so much branching as say, Detroit: Become Human, there is virtually no illusion of choice. Instead of the outcomes being parallel scenarios, the stakes are their lives. Everyone can live, and everyone can die, many different ways (and a hundred different combinations in-between). No outcomes feel clunky or unaccounted for. The gameplay is not perfunctory, pressing those buttons is satisfying as hell, and you better not mess up. The 'don't move' mechanic is a stroke of genius. The more you give to the game the more you get out. Every piece of evidence you come across, even if it seems like a clusterf*ck, it all starts to marinate together and make sense. The game will keep track if you can't keep up. Whatever you do, DO NOT PLAY THE REMASTER. It absolutely butchers the vibe with a new soundtrack and adds NOTHING! It's a crime playstation had the nerve to unlist the original and shill that piece of trash for 60 bucks.

Supermassive Games surprised us with a game that reminds us the standards established by Quantic Dream on interactive dramas with plenty of tension, suspense and horror. A decent length accompanied by a good dose of tension and scares make us think that the result of this experiment was generally positive. The visuals, presentation and soundtrack are good as well.

At first glance, a good video game adaptation of the classic horror slasher with outstanding performances, graphic design, and especially huge number of options to help you experience a different story every time you play.

Ultimately, Until Dawn is a clever romp through horror movie tropes that is good for those who want fun interactive narratives. It’s cheesy, and there’s perhaps less to do with it once you’re done than I’d like, but it lacks the rough edges of many other narrative-first games...Personally, if we got a few more of these each year and a few less samey shooters, I wouldn’t mind one bit.

There’s a well written and unchanging lore here. It’s campy, but it’s horror and was never billed as anything else.

Despite the butterfly effect's premise, a ham-fisted story means you won't care about who might live and who might die. It's not enough to save the game from disappointment, and in the end, Until Dawn is its own self-inflicted nightmare.

I loved the music and art direction of this game, expecially some of the beautiful shots we got thanks to the fixed camera angle. I also ended up liking most of the characters despite initially hating them. The story tho is way too chessy for me and the pacing is just awful, they spend more than half the game bragging about useless things and walking around, which wouldn't be an issue if it was just a buildup to a good story but in the end it only made the later chapters feel even more rushed than they are. Overall it was a good experience

Another interactive movie with poor written characters, story and no logical consequences of your choices. Not recommended.
