[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 38
Jun 24, 2023
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is pretty close to the best one. Despite not really being strong on story. The film makes you forget that though due to plenty of heart and humor. I’m happy to say you’re going to leave smiling and not crying your eyes out, like I expected.
Jun 24, 2023
Creed III7
Jun 24, 2023
Possibly has the weakest boxing scenes of any of the Creed or even the Rocky movies. Michael B. Jordan tries to be too stylish with the slow motion and etc. The story and performances are at least good.
It’s funny how Jonathan Majors pays the older one of the two former friends. When Michael B. Jordan is 36 and Majors is 33.
I was into the main fight until it pretty much turned into a silly dream sequence. That was more about the cgi than the fight. By the time it got back to reality, I barely cared anymore about the fight. There was too much style.
That takes you out of the fight. With the last fight weaker than maybe any from a Rocky or Creed movie. The movie is more about the friendship and their history than the fight but still the fight was weak.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie7
Jun 24, 2023
A Mario adaptation made for the fans. So of course a lot of stiff critics hated the movie. Not only Mario fans but Nintendo players should enjoy the movie as well. Since there’s Easter eggs for other Nintendo games as well. Like Luigi’s Mansion and Kid Icarus.

John Wick: Chapter 48
Jun 24, 2023
As usual bad ass John Wick with great fights and shootouts. Yet, the film also feels like a epic Western as well.
Jun 24, 2023
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts7
Jun 24, 2023
The best next to Bumblebee and the first Michael Bay Transformers. Which isn’t saying a lot since the movie has its corny moments.
The Transformers get more to do than just blow **** up and feel more like characters than they did in the Michael Bay sequels. The movie feels more like the cartoon series. Though some lines are so cheesy that yes they felt like they came straight from the show.
The movies are finally figuring out what works. Which is sad since critics and probably even some fans are tired of Transformers after 4 brainless Transformer sequels.
Jun 24, 2023
Fast X7
Jun 24, 2023
This is one the best and most fun of the Fast and Furious sequels. Yet this is when critics and even most fans had enough. It made the less at the box office and the reviews were low.
Jason Mamoa since Slumberland has learned to have more fun in his movies. He easily steals the show as the villain.
Jun 24, 2023
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse9
Jun 24, 2023
A great emotional rollercoaster. That takes awhile to get going but is fantastic when it does. It’s the Back to the Future 2 of this era.
Jun 24, 2023
The Flash8
Jun 24, 2023
An entertaining and fun movie that falls apart a little in the end and almost becomes pointless. Though the movie is a bit of a letdown next to the trailers. It is way better than the mushy and corny love fest the Flash tv show turned into.
Two Ezra’s is definitely as annoying as you’d expect. The longer hair one eventually becomes tolerable but it takes half the movie.
Spoiler Warning: Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle steal the show but by the end it is a little disappointing how ether were used.
Andy Muschietti is a fine director but unfortunately it’s more of the Muschietti who did IT Chapter 2, than the one who did Chapter 1. So there’s a combination of goofiness, drama, some dark moments and back to goofy again.
Apr 20, 2023
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves8
Apr 20, 2023
A fun and witty Fantasy Adventure. That despite how bad the trailers were. Dungeons and Dragons is one of the best Fantasy films in recent years. I didn’t know the directors of Game Night did the movie when I saw it. No wonder the movie was better than expected.
Apr 20, 2023
Cocaine Bear7
Apr 20, 2023
The movie is like a Blumhouse film where it is as goofy as it is violent. For those expecting a comedy and have been disappointed it isn’t. The movie is definitely a dark comedy.
Cocaine Bear criminally wastes Matthew Rhys (The Americans) who just plays the guy who throws cocaine out of the plane in a very small role. He probably just shouldn’t be in this lol.
Elizabeth Banks at least has made a better movie than the Charlie’s Angels reboot. That she wanted “dumb men” to rush to see and then was mad dumb men didn’t go see it.
There’s a charm to the movie that I didn’t expect. Though yes it’s definitely nothing Oscar worthy.
Apr 20, 2023
Plane7
Apr 20, 2023
This movie was quite thrilling and old school. The kind of action thriller the 90’s would have gave us.
Gerald Butler got the most credit by the positive Rottem Tomatoes reviews. As a pilot trying to save his plane and passengers when they land on enemy territory. Mike Colter (Evil, Luke Cage) shows that he can easily be a bad ass action hero as well. The only thing bad about Mike’s character is that we don’t really learn enough about him. Other than he killed someone and was a prisoner on the plane. With him of course Butler’s best hope to get away.
Apr 20, 2023
Shazam! Fury of the Gods7
Apr 20, 2023
My niece had the same opinion as me. The movie was as entertaining as it was stupid. Spoiler: it’s cameo especially is awkward and random.
That just added to the fun stupidity. The same goes for the obvious Skittles advertising. The movie isn’t as fun or funny as the first film though. Which also had a superior villain. As well as the villain in the credits scene, that this movie should have had.
Apr 20, 2023
Scream VI7
Apr 20, 2023
There’s plenty of edge of your seat moments. The movie just falls apart a little when the killer is revealed. Was I think the worst acting from the killer “or killers.” While it’s starting to get too obvious who will survive for now on. Which makes it somewhat corny.
Henry Czerny and Dermot Mulroney should have switched roles. Dermot is a fine veteran actor but he wasn’t able to pull off most of what was expected of him. Spoiler: Let’s just say that Henry plays a better **** without even trying.
The movie was close to be being one of the best but also the worst, at the same time. Great kills, disappointing killers. Predictable face palm, survivors. It was like “really ? they had to survive again after all that.”
Need Oprah in the next one “you survive! you survive! and you survive!”
Feb 17, 2023
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania7
Feb 17, 2023
It is a pretty entertaining movie, that is at least better than the second movie. That has way higher reviews than it. Since for one the villain is far superior.
The movie just gets sillier lines as it goes on with less of the jokes landing. Also yes the movie isn’t oozing in originality. The movie is Journey to the Center of Earth meets Tron Legacy, with Ant-Man.
Feb 7, 2023
Wonder Woman 19847
Feb 7, 2023
Some scenes could have been edited out to make the movie shorter. In the first half Kristen Wiig feels like she was type cast from Ghostbusters as a goofy and clumsy genius.
Wiig at least feels less like she is phoning it in as the movie goes on. Pedro Pascal (the Mandalorian) Maxwell Lord though feels like a villain of the week. The films strength is the chemistry of Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. As well as just Gal Gadot period. The weakest aspect is the plot that really isn’t worthy of Gadot’s Wonder Woman. The movie isn’t bad though. Since despite being too long. It isn’t an overlong bleak mess, like Batman v Superman.
However it is too long to simply give us another Christmas message of “be happy with what you have.”

A Quiet Place Part II7

[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]
Feb 6, 2023
Army of the Dead7
Feb 6, 2023
Zack Snyder is almost as bad as Michael Bay. Where he enjoys his own work so much that he doesn’t edit enough out. The story is 2 hour worthy or less and he drags it out to 2 hrs and 27 minutes.
With that said the action is great and I loved the cast. The movie just isn’t epic enough be so long and just have the ending that it does. Though it is way better than a Bay Transormers sequel.
Feb 6, 2023
Black Widow7
Feb 6, 2023
There’s some fun in between the family drama and the family comedy stuff. David Harbour (Stranger Things) does steal the show despite the film not going for that. Florence Pugh also is a scene stealer from Scarlett Johansson.
Though Pugh and Johansson don’t get much to always do. Other than talk about daddy issues or how crappy their childhoods were.
While Taskmaster is wasted and should have been a main villain in a Captain America film or even on Falcon and Winter Soldier. They just shouldn’t have used that name at all in this movie.
This film was supposed to set the return of the Marvel universe last year. It was delayed due to Covid. Shows like Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki are better. They also make us more excited for what’s next than this movie does.
Feb 6, 2023
Space Jam: A New Legacy6
Feb 6, 2023
Due to all the Warner Brothers movie references and cameos I found the sequel even more fun than the first film. Lebron is the least interesting thing about the movie though.
Michael Jordan had more charisma on screen. Lebron is a bit wooden and too much of a control freak father to be likable in it. As Lebron’s wife, Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek Discovery) seems like she is trying too hard to win an Oscar every time she acts, even in a Space Jam movie.
The Looney Toon characters are at least entertaining throughout. Even when the basketball game they are playing isn’t as entertaining as they are. The film loses a lot of steam during the basketball game.
Feb 6, 2023
Old6
Feb 6, 2023
M. Night Shyamalan seems to love to bring wooden performances out of his cast. He even managed to get a robotic performance out of Will Smith in After Earth.
The way his characters interact with each other doesn’t always feel realistic either. It’s the most noticeable when there’s a number of characters together at once throwing around his stiff dialogue. Like, in The Lady in the Water for example.
Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) could have done something interesting and creepy with the story of a beach turning people old. With Shyamalan, the film trudges along and we never really connect or care about any of the characters.
The way Shyamalan pans away from violence or death isn’t a strength either. Hitchcock, he isn’t and it just comes off more amateurish than it makes him look skilled.
Feb 6, 2023
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings8
Feb 6, 2023
Both exciting and occasionally pretty funny, something I can’t say about Black Widow. Which didn’t leave much of an impression on me.
The bus fight made me think of Jackie Chan which is a good thing since his fights were always fun. When this film starts to turn into a fantasy with mystical creatures it got a little silly but was still entertaining.
Besides if there can be aliens, talking raccoons, wizards and gods. Marvel can introduce anything else they want to.
Feb 6, 2023
Malignant7
Feb 6, 2023
James Wan should have just done the Conjuring 3. Malignant is visually stunning with the right cast but it has a story that had potential if the script was worked on more. I enjoyed watching the movie at home with the lights off even if I was never scared. The movie is very nice to look at and Wan’s directions did keep my interest at least.
it gets goofier as it goes on and Annabelle Wallis’ acting seems to get worse. I think she was meant to go for B-Movie horror acting though. It’s like Wan was trying to make a B-movie on purpose which is a waste of his talents.
Feb 6, 2023
Clifford the Big Red Dog6
Feb 6, 2023
Cute but the villain reminded me of other villains in family films. Pretty similar to the one from the Garfield movie for instance. It also didn’t need a scene of a normal sized dog picked up by a kid so he could smell Clifford’s butt.
Feb 6, 2023
Ghostbusters: Afterlife7
Feb 6, 2023
It lacks character build up or an original story but has plenty of heart and charm. It also has a nice 80’s family movie feel to it. It’s not a spectacular movie but it’s a nice movie.
Yet it still will probably make you wish there was more to it despite being a pretty decent return of the series. That is still at least more like the original than the 2016 movie. Even if it pretty much acts like more didn’t happen after the 1984 incident.
So some fans might not like that it didn’t only erase the 2016 movie but possibly the 1989 sequel as well. Critics who didn’t like it call it too much of a fan service which yeah can be surprisingly disappointing. It however it does still work as a heartfelt Harold Ramis tribute.
Leslie Jones called this movie a **** move that it was made instead of a sequel to her 2016 movie. However, her movie is a **** move since it was an unnecessary reboot that made believe the 1984 film never happened. Especially too close to when Harold Ramis just died.
Feb 6, 2023
The Matrix Resurrections7
Feb 6, 2023
The special ingredients that made the original good was a smart script, Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving. Resurrections isn’t as entertaining without Fishburne or Weaving. It is however at least more like the first film than Reloaded and Revolutions. It is trippy and has the Wonderland like references that made the first good. It just takes longer than it should to get started.
It also doesn’t exactly know how to be as exciting as the original. Though, I would still call it the second best. Since I was not as disappointed in it as I was with the first two sequels. Especially Revolutions, which lacked any Kung-Fu.
My biggest complaint though is that if you are going to get new actors to play Morpheus and Smith. At least get ones that don’t feel like they are Hallmark channel actors.
Neil Patrick Harris and Jessica Henwick are the best new additions, easily. The movie in the end though is still pretty much just the 1999 film again. With the same story of finding yourself and it also asks “what is reality ?”
Feb 6, 2023
Cruella7
Feb 6, 2023
Manages to work despite it making Cruella likable and gives her a good reason not to like Dalmatians. Since the heist scenes, performances and music choices are all perfect. The direction is fine as well.
Except Cruella in this doesn’t want to kill animals and wear them. So what is the point of her name even being Cruella Devil ?
It’s like what Disney did to Maleficent who was a nice fairy until her wings were cut off. There was no sign of the evil villain from Sleeping Beauty. Here, there’s no sign of the evil villain from One Hundred and One Dalmatians either.
Since spoiler, she even eventually owns Dalmatians. The film does give her a good reason not to like them but this version of Cruella acts like she would never kill a dog. Despite that this is a fun and entertaining movie that really had no point in being made. Since like Maleficent it makes an evil villain good. It’s like if Disney makes a prequel movie about Palpatine from Star Wars except he is never actually evil or the bad guy.
Feb 6, 2023
Eternals7
Feb 6, 2023
Eternals got treated like it was Marvel’s Batman v Superman. Despite some bad pacing, the movie is really good once it picks up.
The acting is fine despite no ever really completely standing out and stealing the show. Except for maybe Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo who always has a an employee following him around with a video camera and backup video cameras.
The credits Eros (Harry Styles) scene was funner than most scenes of the movie though. So it should have actually ended with that scene.
Feb 6, 2023
Uncharted7
Feb 6, 2023
As a fan of the games, this doesn’t feel enough like them. Tom Holland as Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Sully have brother like chemistry. So Wahlberg should have played Drake’s brother Sam, not Sully. Who usually has a mustache and doesn’t show off his muscles in tank tops.
Holland and Wahlberg are miscast, yet good despite feeling like they wandered off the set of another movie. While Tati Gabrielle (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is never bad in anything. She for example feels like she wandered off the set of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
While the games had a lot of shoot-outs. There’s not many shoot-outs in the movie either. Yet the movie did keep my attention there’s plenty of adventure and double crosses. There’s just not much suspense.
Feb 6, 2023
Death on the Nile7
Feb 6, 2023
Death on the Nile is some-what better than the first film. Kenneth Branagh steals the show more this time as the sleuth Hercule Poirot. With, even a backstory to why he has that silly mustache.
Death in the Nile is sexier, more engaging and nicer to look at than Murder on the Orient Express. Emma Mackey as Jacqueline de Bellefort stands out the most from the supporting cast. As a femme fatale like character who wants back her ex Simon Doyle (Armie Hammer).
Who was stolen from her by her former good friend Linnett Ridgeway (Gal Gadot). Linnett is targeted while on cruise down the Nile. Linnett thinks Jacqueline is involved since she finds them where ever they go. The couple recruit Poirot to talk to her about leaving them alone.
During the cruise there’s a murder and it is up to Poirot to figure out who on board is the murderer. Though the first film ended with Poirot already told about the murder on the Nile, this film ignores that.
Death on the Nile isn’t as good as Knives Out but it is a good watch for those looking for more mysteries like Knives Out

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness7
Feb 6, 2023
[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]
Feb 6, 2023
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore7
Feb 6, 2023
A bit better than the second film with more laughs and charm at least. While remembering to actually use the Fantastic Beasts.
Though like the second film. It forgets that Katherine Waterston’s Tina was a main character. I liked her chemistry with Eddie Redmayne in the first film. She hasn’t had anything to do since.
Due to everything more about young Dumbledore, Grindelwald, Newt’s brother and now Eulalie (Jessica Williams).
Since the movie didn’t make enough money for a 4th film. I am happy that this is sort of a conclusion. However, it is a forgettable conclusion that isn’t very epic.
Feb 6, 2023
Firestarter5
Feb 6, 2023
Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Zack Efron are decent enough as a daughter and father. Who are hunted because they have Telekinesis powers.
The movie just wasn’t necessary especially by Blumhouse who usually make better original movies than remakes. With Eleven in Stranger Things existing now, a young girl with Telekinesis powers is less fresh than when the original Firestarter came out.
As it is the original Firestarter wasn’t as fresh as Carrie and felt like Stephen King just gave a little girl the same powers.
This Firestarter remake might not have been better if the original never existed either. Since it is still a B-Movie either way. Though, the very end is somewhat touching.
Feb 6, 2023
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers8
Feb 6, 2023
A fun movie that is like a mild version of Roger Rabbit. Though, like that it is still a little darker for kids. Just without the inside sex jokes.
There’s some nice cameos and Easter eggs. Some you wouldn’t even expect in a Disney movie.
Feb 6, 2023
Top Gun: Maverick8
Feb 6, 2023
A rare unnecessary sequel that might actually be better than the original. The first is known for being sexy and macho. With some fine action but the movie was always missing something.
The enemy jets just would show up out of nowhere pretty much was one flaw. Top Gun: Maverick is as sexy and macho. However, it’s story is better than the original and it’s just a better made movie.
When the enemy jets show up it’s just not out of nowhere and it makes sense. The movie could have turned into Behind Enemy Lines. I am grateful it doesn’t though since this is a fighter jet movie after all.
Tom Cruise and Miles Teller make a surprisingly good team. That brings back good memories of Maverick and Goose and it gets to you emotionally.
Feb 6, 2023
Jurassic World Dominion6
Feb 6, 2023
Funny how the whole world broke out in Dinosaurs when only a couple were let free in the last movie. Plus a lot of the dinosaurs on the loose weren’t species that were let go in the last movie.
It’s nice that there’s a raptor with feathers. Though, why ? A couple of dinosaurs were let loose and raptors suddenly look how they are supposed to ?
There’s a little too many heroes and it never felt like any were in danger. The movie needed more villains with guns to be eaten.
With that said it was nice to see the Jurassic Park characters team with the Jurassic World characters. Though all they really get to do is run away from dinosaurs together. While saying that they know each other’s work.
Feb 6, 2023
Thor: Love and Thunder7
Feb 6, 2023
Though the movie is entertaining, you can just tell Taika Waititi wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. Since there’s too much Taika Waititi/Korg and not even enough of the Guardians of the Galaxy. As well as too much humor.
There is plenty heart and drama as well though. Which won me over in the end. Though yeah the movie is still too goofy at times.
Feb 6, 2023
Halloween Ends5
Feb 6, 2023
A little too disturbing of a beginning that doesn’t even have anything to do with Michael Myers himself. Plus they love violently killing kids too much in this new trilogy. Which is even a bigger turn off than killing dogs or cats in Horror movies.
Also a little late in the game to introduce a new character named Corey wrongly accused of murder. With everything more about him than Michael. It feels like a Halloween movie but a slow one with not enough Michael Myers. It’s more about Allyson falling for Corey as he loses his humanity more and more. Sorry, but for the last of the series. We want Michael, not a poser.
The movie isn’t the Laurie and Michael centered movie we wanted. You’d think it would be one big revenge movie since Michael killed Laurie’s daughter. Instead I am not sure Laurie even mentions her daughter once.
Halloween Ends doesn’t remember it’s about Laurie and Michael until like the last 10 minutes. It is a decent but totally unfocused movie. That tries so hard to be not what you expected it to be. However you might wish it was predictable and the movie you were hoping for.

[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]
Feb 6, 2023
Enola Holmes 28
Feb 6, 2023
Nice to see more of Henry Cavill as Sherlock in this one. This is Millie Bobby Brown’s movie though. She’s even better in this one.
Feb 6, 2023
Disenchanted7
Feb 6, 2023
A sequel that exists for the heck of it. So did Top Gun: Maverick and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Disenchanted isn’t saved by nostalgia though, like those films. It does pick up though once Giselle (Amy Addams) makes a wish and turns the real world into a fairytale. Addams mostly shines when she is slowly turning into a wicked stepmother and struggles to stay good.
It’s just a decent sequel, not as magical as the first film. With the otherwise talented Alan Tudyk distractingly using his King Candy voice for a talking scroll. It’s unlike him to phone it in but he does here.
Surprisingly enough it’s Patrick Dempsey who steals the show when the spell makes him an overly heroic Prince.
Feb 6, 2023
Black Adam7
Feb 6, 2023
One of those movies that you don’t expect to be good due to the bad reviews. It is a ton of fun though. Despite being short on story and with not so good pacing.
Feb 6, 2023
Spirited8
Feb 6, 2023
Spirited brings some freshness to A Christmas Carol. A clever comedy about the spirits for once. Some songs either aren’t that great or drag on too long. The song “Good day to you” should have been nominated though and gets some good laughs.
Feb 6, 2023
GoldenEye8
Feb 6, 2023
To me, even the opening of this film can’t be beat. The movie is a bit slow in the middle though. Most James Bond films are though. Famke
Janssen is the most tempting Bond villain. While Bronson easily does his best work as Bond as well.
Feb 6, 2023
Superman10
Feb 6, 2023
The best Superman adaptation, period. It shows that Warner Brothers has always been the problem. When they even fired Richard Donnor. Who clearly knew how to use Superman.
Feb 6, 2023
The Flintstones7
Feb 6, 2023
Better than the bad professional critics reviews say. If the movie was made today. It would definitely be less faithful to the show than this movie was.
Feb 6, 2023
Casper8
Feb 6, 2023
I love this movie. When talking about bad movies based on a cartoon....Casper should not be mentioned. It's definitely one of the best. I just always found the ending rushed.
Feb 6, 2023
Beetlejuice8
Feb 6, 2023
Original and great fun. Despite some flaws. Like why can the dead couple not be heard in some scenes yet are heard while under sheets ? When in a previous scene the Guide Book of The Recently deceased said “the living can’t hear the dead ?”
Why disfigure themselves to make scary faces when they can’t be seen ? Which they already tried to scare the guests in a similar way earlier. How can they suddenly control everyone to dance when they didn’t have powers like that in previous scenes ?
Also Adam (Alec Baldwin) seems to have reading problems. I think he read Beetlejuice as being Beetleguise and Beetlejuice went by that name in some scenes to mess with Adam ?
Feb 6, 2023
The Batman8
Feb 6, 2023
Despite Robert Pattinson being a little too quiet and emotionless as Bruce Wayne. It’s funny how much his Batman is alive. Though his Bruce Wayne does show the inner scars more of any other Bruce Wayne. It is a little too overdone where you could consider him emo Bruce Wayne.
After a few hundred more viewings, his Bruce will probably grow on me more. His Batman though definitely doesn’t need to grow on me however. He could possibly be the most bad ass.
