The film's only major fault is Trevorrow's desperation to ensure that viewers get their money's worth. Jam-packed with silliness, spectacle, intrigue, romance and just about everything else, Jurassic World Dominion has regular popcorn-spilling scares, exhilarating, expertly choreographed action set pieces that would earn a tip of the baseball cap from Spielberg himself, and the numerous characters all have plenty to do.

The result is a picture with gripping sequences and clever byplay, even if there’s a sense that it’s merely repeating past strengths, only not quite as ingeniously.

Pretty good movie, good plot, characters, soundtrack. Great addition Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.

Love this film. Best Jurassic film since the original Jurassic Park. The original cast were the stars of this film,. Loved the humor (i.e. man-child on a scooter getting chomped by a trex) and Goldblum was spot on hilarious in character.

Dominion argues that not even the return of three beloved characters can rescue a franchise that has fallen and can’t get up.

The kid in us knows that even in a pokey, predictable sequel like this one you still stick around for the scary parts with the stampeding dinosaurs. But the wonder and awe of the Spielberg original have gone pfft.

When “Dominion’s” final 20 minutes play as a beat-for-beat re-creation of previous films’ set pieces, it becomes clear that Trevorrow and Co. have nothing new to say.

Jurassic World: Dominion is at best distracted, at worst boring. Playing on the nostalgic return of key heroes and frantically attempting Spielbergian wonder, it wants you to believe it’s got a back-to-basics understanding of Jurassic Park. Instead it’s convoluted notions of big entertainment ignore what Spielberg understood: dinosaurs have always had a natural hold on our collective imagination. Making them fun doesn’t have to be this hard.

When Dominion isn’t suffocating itself with world-building, much of it frustratingly untapped, it’s wholly given over to corny fan service.

Yes I like this movie. Matter of fact I love this movie. So much good that it overshadows the bad.

The final chapter of the trilogy tries to wrap up all the storylines, but falls short in many areas. Characters shift inconsistently, and Maisy’s subplot feels unnecessary, as the film could have worked without her. The nostalgic return of Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum is enjoyable but poorly integrated, while Owen and Claire seem sidelined from the main plot. Thankfully, the dinosaurs — finally depicted with scientific accuracy through feathers and vibrant colors — keep the spectacle engaging, even if the 2h40 runtime feels bloated. The idea of dinosaurs roaming freely across the world brings some freshness, but overall, this remains the weakest entry of the trilogy, though still more solid than Jurassic Park III.

I just watched the movie on Amazon Prime Video. I enjoyed it for the most part. The plot can be messy and convoluted. I enjoyed seeing the old characters again to me they handled better than Disney Star Wars.I enjoyed the theme overall even if it could've been executed better. it is time to stop continuing these franchises and do something original instead of nostalgia bait.

first in english, spanish below english: 'jurassic world: dominion' presents a promising premise, strongly revisiting the central idea of the saga: the manipulation of dinosaur dna. the film opens in an intriguing way, capturing the audience's interest from the first minutes. for fans of the franchise, the cast is a true nostalgic nod, comparable to the phenomenon that 'spider-man: no way home' represented for superhero fans. however, the narrative focuses largely on corporate intrigues and human relationships, which may not satisfy those expecting the full development of the premise offered in 'jurassic world: fallen kingdom'. this choice results in a slower pace that departs from the intensity of previous installments, and the accumulation of dialogues and subplots can feel confusing or even tedious for some viewers. technically, there is a noticeable step back in the depiction of dinosaurs; their movement and presence feel less realistic than in prior films. some action sequences manage to bring excitement, although certain moments resemble other genres too closely, diluting the saga’s unique identity. additionally, the script repeats clichés such as the constant luck of the protagonists, affecting the story’s credibility. performances, particularly from some supporting characters, feel unnatural, although there are figures who manage to maintain the humor and spark characteristic of the franchise. in conclusion, 'dominion' has notable elements and visually appealing moments, but the lack of full development of the central premise makes it a less impactful entry compared to the saga's first films. spanish: 'jurassic world: dominion' presenta una premisa prometedora, retomando con fuerza la idea central de la saga: la manipulación del adn de los dinosaurios. la película inicia de manera intrigante, captando el interés del espectador desde los primeros minutos. para los seguidores de la franquicia, el reparto es un verdadero guiño nostálgico, comparable al fenómeno que representó 'spider-man: no way home' para los fans del superhéroe. sin embargo, la narrativa se centra en gran medida en intrigas corporativas y relaciones humanas, lo que puede no satisfacer a quienes esperaban el desarrollo completo de la premisa ofrecida en 'jurassic world: fallen kingdom'. esta elección provoca un ritmo más pausado que se aleja de la intensidad de entregas anteriores, y la acumulación de diálogos y subtramas puede resultar confusa o incluso tediosa para algunos espectadores. en el aspecto técnico, se percibe un retroceso en la representación de los dinosaurios; su movimiento y presencia se sienten menos realistas que en filmes previos. algunas secuencias de acción logran aportar emoción, aunque ciertos momentos recuerdan demasiado a otros géneros, diluyendo la identidad única de la saga. además, el guion repite clichés como la suerte constante de los protagonistas, afectando la credibilidad de la historia. las actuaciones, particularmente de algunos personajes secundarios, se perciben poco naturales, aunque hay figuras que logran mantener el humor y la chispa característicos de la franquicia. en conclusión, 'dominion' tiene elementos destacables y momentos visualmente atractivos, pero la falta de desarrollo pleno de la premisa central la convierte en una entrega menos impactante que las primeras películas de la saga.

Oh how the mighty have fallen, Jurassic World: Dominion might just be the worst of the franchise. If you thought Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The return of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum was enough to get us back into the Jurassic Park / World franchise but unfortunately it’s not enough to save the movie. Set four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar and the dinosaurs are now living alongside humans all over the world. That’s going about as well as you’d expect, although we don’t get to focus much on that, because very quickly we’re cut away from a big scary dinosaur attacking a fishing boat for 30 seconds back to Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and their new daughter who they must hide from the evil scientists. Enter Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) who looks like a mishmash of every billionaire ever with too much money and not enough sense. Dodgson runs a Bond villainesque company, oh sorry I mean a dinosaur sanctuary, that’s so totally not evil. Because here at biotechytechytech, the focus is on the lovely happy safe space for the dinosaurs and they’re so totally not up to any shady business whatsoever. It’s all about rescuing the poor dinosaurs who are wreaking havoc worldwide, and not secretly causing something sinister like a global food shortage or anything evil like that. They’re totally the good guys here, look they even have that scientist from the first movie so you know they have the best intentions. Well one way or another, the question will be answered as to whether human beings and dinosaurs can share the planet or will this be the end of life as we know it? There’s only one truly great Jurassic Park movie and it’s always been the first one. Steven Spielberg created the magic of bringing dinosaurs onto the big screen. It looked real and was absolutely fantastic. No other Jurassic Park movie recreated that sense of awe, wonder and fear. The Jurassic Park trilogy had scary moments where you feared and cared about the characters and the sense that they were in actual danger. We’ve sure come a long way since then because at no point in Jurassic World: Dominion do you get that feeling that any of the characters are in danger. There’s no suspense and no edge of your seat moment. I’ve never wanted to see a dinosaur eat Chris Pratt so much in my entire life. Every time he came face to face with a scary dinosaur, he just held up his little hand and says “No!” I’m Chris Pratt, you don’t eat me, I’m the star.” It’s ridiculous. You know there’s a problem when the CGI dinosaurs have more emotion than the human characters. For the third time now we’ve been subjected to the blandness that is Bryce (I can outrun a T. Rex in heels) Dallas Howard and Chris (the dinosaur whisperer) Pratt so any interaction between the two is boring and emotionless. We didn’t come to the cinema for this, we either came for the original cast or we’re here to see dinosaurs kill each other. And sure if there’s a little bit of nostalgia thrown in for good measure that’s nice too. A little bit of nostalgia is one thing, but practically recreating almost every scene possible from the older movies is just plain lazy. Remember that bit with the jeep? Well here it is again. The Dilophosaurus? Here’s a whole bunch of them, the dinosaur **** wait that’s new. Alright who ordered the dinolocusts!? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Yeah I didn’t think so. Sure there are some new dinosaurs in this movie and a few fan favourites but they don’t exactly get much screen time. Unfortunately Jurassic World: Dominion has a little less apex predator and a little too much prehistoric locusts. I can only hope the reason we’ve seen the return of the original cast is for the paycheque. I was looking forward to seeing Dern, Neill and Goldblum together again but it’s still a disappointment. Unfortunately this is probably the last time they’ll all be onscreen together in a Jurassic Park movie and it didn’t end up going out on a high like it should have. I’ve heard quite a few reviews saying they threw everything at this in the desperate hope that something will stick, well that’s certainly true. Think of all the good bits from the Jurassic Park franchise, shove them together with some lifeless characters, endless nods to the original movies and you’ve got Jurassic World: Dominion. Does it work? No. Will it make a fortune? Yes. Will we get another one? Yes, in some shape or form. Franchises is where the money’s at and you can guarantee Universal won’t have a gap in the dinosaur market for too long. You have to admit there’s not exactly a huge amount of dinosaur movies out there so when a new one emerges people will go see them, but come on Universal we deserve better than this. Recommended for anyone looking to entertain their kids for two and a half hours, for Jurassic Park fans, skip it.
