DC finds itself at a bit of a crossroads. Yet that timing makes it all the more impressive to see how “The Flash” has managed to click on all cylinders, pay respect to the company’s past while achieving the kind of balance that could and perhaps should point the way to its future.

While I have a few complaints and there are a couple of head-scratching loose ends, The Flash is still a funny, emotional, action-heavy crowd-pleaser that ranks among the best DC movies ever made.

The only DC universe movie that I didn't fall a sleep. Love it and the terrible CGI actually makes movie fun.

Michael Keaton is the reason this movie should have a High rating, he showed he could still be Batman at his age

It’s sometimes buried under layers and layers of storytelling knots that the film never fully untangles, but the fun is there, and when the film is really working, that turns out to be enough.

Nothing Batman or Supergirl do in The Flash to save the world is more effective than what Barry Allen does to save it with a hug and a can of tomatoes.

Rather than the beginning of a cool, new idea, The Flash now feels like it should be the last word on movie multiverses.

The heavy reliance on CGI is noticeable, particularly because the work is quite ugly (the area from which Barry is able to access the past is a jagged kaleidoscopic eyesore) and while the film benefits from not having a sludgy abundance of fight scenes, the ones it does feature are still largely indistinguishable from any other film.

The film is remarkably banal. It’s a deteriorating rest stop on the road to nowhere.

I do really love this film and I've watched it around 5 times. And I am not big on super hero movies anymore. I will go ahead and say that Ezra Miller did an amazing job in this movie. I know he's not a good person. But you cannot deny a good performance. And that ending gets me every single time. It has some bad CGI moments mixed with some great ones. And a few cringe lines that should've been left out. I think it is better than your average super hero movie. But unfortunately, I don't think it's gonna get much love because of the actor that portrays Barry Allen. If you can seperate the art from the artist, I highly recommend it to you and it is worth the watch.

The movie was okay but the CGI was ... should have not been released like this.

I can't describe how much I wanted to want to like this based solely off of the cameos and throwbacks to the whole of the Snyderverse and beyond - . . . but, I just couldn't do it. The comics were obviously seen as no credit to the horrible storytelling and disgusting mismanagement of the storyline and DC properties available . . . I wanted Keaton to be the saving grace but even his performance was goofy and nothing more than schlock on schlock when it came to an attempt to tie in a cohesive story out of this mess of a multiverse of madness. God this movie just couldn't end fast enough for the fastest man in the universe!
