To be sure, we get a classic comic book movie storyline about a megalomaniacal madman intent on taking over the world, but there’s often a relatively light tone to the proceedings. This is a throwback piece of pure pop entertainment.

If there ever was a role that played perfectly to Pascal’s natural charisma, it’s Maxwell Lord.

The second Wonder Woman film may not be perfect, but it has something that makes it special—especially for those who still believe in heroes that inspire through kindness. Patty Jenkins once again offers a bright, hopeful vision of the character, and Gal Gadot is flawless: calm, charismatic, and profoundly **** movie dares to mix tones: from colorful, light comedy to the drama of difficult choices. And while that sometimes creates ups and downs, there are unforgettable sequences—like the opening in Themyscira or the flight through fireworks—that carry the epic soul of the best superhero cinema.Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal bring an interesting duality as antagonists, even if their arcs could have been more developed. Still, both are fully committed, and it's refreshing to see a story that allows room for nuance and evolution. This isn’t your typical action blockbuster, and that may throw off some viewers. But that's exactly its strength: Wonder Woman 1984 isn't just about fights or flashy effects—it's about values like truth, sacrifice, and longing. A rare gem in a genre that often favors spectacle over emotion. There may not be a third installment, but for many—my daughter included, who adores her—Diana will always be the symbol that makes us dream. A superhero who proves her strength through compassion, not brute force.

Happy 4 year anniversary merry Christmas to one of my favorite movies Wonder Woman 1984 this is better than Wonder Woman because I love storyline all the characters are relatable shows teach you about yourself and what you want in your life but also teach you about your attachment style how that relates on what you truly want and wish for and how it relates to your self and relationship you have with your self and with other people Barbra have anxious attachment style max have avoided attachment style Diana have a secure attachment style she got super comfortable with Steve very fast but also wants to find out what is the consequences to having Steve back and what does that mean for her and for a lot of people I love roles switch from Steve learning about 1984 works Diana was helping him to fit in In 1984 her wish to bring Steve back she lost her powers and gave it to Barbara even though Diana can’t feel physically pain but she can still get physical sick how she loooks but can’t feel physically look part but can’t feel the part but she renounce her wish and I love how she was happy to get her powers back and being control of them and save the day I love Linda carter cameo asteria I love it I love all the action fight scenes there were fun entertaining dc at the house 5 star 10 out 10 star 100 out 100 star

The current DC movie universe is always dark, but it seems that with a movie drenched in the neon aesthetic of the ’80s, they’ve finally found a way to dim even Wonder Woman’s light.

The film shows a preference for forgiveness over vengeance, which feels like an okay way to end this particular year.

There's still a lot to love. Gadot remains a charismatic presence who wields the lasso with authority, even tethering lightning bolts in some arresting moments. However, I missed the more hand-to-hand gladiatorial aspect of so many fight scenes in the first movie.

While there are some visually striking action sequences as Diana and her new super-powered foe square off -- and Gadot remains extremely appealing in humanizing the character -- the last act devolves into a bit of a mess.

Sadly, all that glittered in the franchise’s first outing is gone in Wonder Woman 1984. The disappointing sequel highlights not only the dire state of the live-action superhero genre in film, but the dire state of Hollywood filmmaking as a whole.

Wonder Woman 1984 has some interesting artefacts as it still delivers strong solid chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine but I felt the storyline was very questionable as it was really all over the place.

This is a terrible movie on all fronts. The story, conflict, and characters are superficial and extremely dull. The story and writing are outright bad. Compared to Wonder Woman, this movie offers an illogical story, and the writing makes it cringe-worthy. If you decide to watch this, only do so for the action sequences and Gal Gadot; otherwise, I'd recommend you skip it and watch something else.
