Meh. I get it, it's a movie about societal rejection/exclusion. Aliens land, she tries to escape them in a town full people who don't like her. That's the premise along with a little bit of character development. Most of the time she's running from aliens. nails a few of them but I won't spoil the ending. The ending didn't land with me. I don't see the point. In fact, I'm so glad I fast forwarded many moments because her evading / running from the aliens was drawn out for too long and most of all: why would I even care? It would have been more appropriate if the film was short. Its moralizing character would have been more clear and still I wonder: why care? What's the point?

Honestly, the weirdest part of the movie wasn’t even the villains—it was that totally ridiculous ending. I had it at a 7 up until then, but now I’ve gotta drop it to a 4.

Excellent. Really well done. The movie feels absolutely original and keeps you in a pretty consistent state of suspense. Some of the directions the movie goes in are unexpected and surprising. No forced diversity nonsense either, good script, good acting, great camera work and very good directing.

Slightly birarre but strangely effective! Virtually no dialogue throughout, but decent acting more than makes up for it. Erring on the side of humour, go get em gal! I liked it. Worth a watch!

Alot of cool ideas poorly developed and little to no payoff. Kinda felt like a waste of time. There is no closure, no lesson learned. The twist at the end isn't even a it's just a non ending. Some of the shots looked really cool though.

I often complain that aliens in sci-fi often mimic humans too much, and why is that? Why would beings that evolved on another planet look like, act like, and think like us? It's because the human experience is an easy reference point for writers who don't want to think too hard about it. Simply put, it's the easy path. No One Will Save You decides to go the hard path, and are greatly rewarded for their effort. The movie features aliens, and the scenes in which they feature are scary and suspenseful with bumps in the hallway, hide and seek around the house, and other tropes you might expect from an alien abduction movie, but expertly well done. But the real terror is in the aliens minds. Their behavior, their emotions, their actions, are all hard to discern from a human perspective. They are not just aliens, they are truly "alien" in all other ways too. And that mystery, that inability to comprehend, is truly terrifying. The movie can be given accolades for more too, from the great acting of Kaitlyn Dever, to the interesting choice of using hardly any speech in the movie, and the excellent pacing of direction to where there's never a dull moment, but you don't feel overloaded with it. Truly one of the best movies about alien abductions I've ever seen.

Surprisingly good. It's what you get if you cross over the film Silent Night (2023 action film) with a classic horror movie. Very little is said in this film, it's mostly told by character actions and through the plot. The CGI is very good and the alien designs whilst a bit to close to the 60's idea of aliens do get quite creepy as the film goes on. The only thing stopping me giving this a 10 is that the ending is a bit unfulfilling and even after having spent 15 minutes trying to understand why everything happened as it did, it still makes no sense to me.

I do enjoy an independent low budget high concept genre film and I really enjoy everything Kaitlyn Dever has done since the days of Justified. I am extremely in awe of how the intentional and distinct lack of dialogue throughout doesn’t detract from the engagement of the film and the miracle of this piece is how it doesn’t feel out of place or too forced either. Almost everything else, however, is only serviceable; the plot beats, the music, the directing, photography and design are all unspectacular in a genre full of spectacular little flourishes and artistry. The ending seems to be talked about a fair chunk on the internet but I found it innocuous and perfectly fine. It’s quirky and interesting and serves as a character arc of sorts and even if it doesn’t really make sense, Dever brings it home.

I thought it would be another home horror but i will be honest i was surprised. This whole movie probably contains 10 words spoken the rest is just thriller which is how i like it, there is no reason to add some dull dialogue that will lead to nowhere its better just to show it off and let the viewer understand it and the director did a good job at it and it will leave you ****, there were some stupid scenes and decisions by the protagonist but i will let that slide since it was enjoyable **** you going to watch i highly recommend putting on a headset or using good audio because the sound director did a very good job with sound effects and footsteps.i would say im satisfy on how the movie ended so complain hereforget what reviews are saying just go watch it with an open mind and judge it yourself

I liked the idea of the silent protagonist and the actress did well with what she was given. However, almost everything else got dull very quickly with a slight uptick towards the end. Furthermore, it lacked in the narrative department, was too loud and missed the landing during key moments.

Another alien invasion movie that shamelessly rips off INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. I'm not saying that the story is bad, I just think it would be a better fit for a short Indie horror game. The alien design is sometimes very cool, most of the time laughably bad, unfortunately. I didn't understand the whole story of our lead and her history with her best friend and the town she lives nearby. Or her backstory is just stupid. The film runs for just 90 mins and still feels way too long. In the end, I was annoyed.

The action sequences, production quality, soundtrack and casting is very good here. The screenplay feels empty but this is mostly due to the decision to have no spoken dialogue (aside from a handful of spoken words). As such the story is told through the actions of the characters and the setups of each sequence. It starts as a horror the lends itself to a SciFi action movie and finishes as a sort of mystery almost **** each turn it challenges your expectations providing a very entertaining journey as the story unfolds in each sequence.

I've noticed high praises for No One Will Save You (NOWSY), even praises from Stephen King, the Master of (Novel) Horror, but, although I found the premise to be very good, I felt that NOWSY missed the point by an inch. Do you want the Executive Summary? Sure, then! Though NOWSY is scary and suspenseful, the lack of character development for Brynn might pay a toll on the dark ending. Read more for details. In NOWSY, anxiety-driven and recluse-homegirl Brynn receives an unexpected guest: an alien, and he is not friendly. The problem is that Brynn has no one to ask for help because her past set her as hated by all townsfolks. The missed inch here is with the character Brynn. The setup is too short, which gives us no context to her anxiety problem other than one major scene where she is having an anxiety crisis and one small glimpse of common anxiety when she has to go the post-office. I'm husband to a woman that suffers from this disorder, and I know her pain and struggle; even though people cope with anxiety in different ways, I felt that Brynn's anxiety was — pun intended — scripted. Another problem is the hate townsfolks have towards her. Again, with the setup being too short, we get no real sense of the hatred that she is in. And this hate is also a turning point in the ending. So, these are the only cons of the movie; moving into middle-ground territory, then, the lack of dialogue is doubtful. Even when Brynn meets Mrs. Collins, there's no dialogue, regardless of the encounter being a key scene. The cinematography is alright, but nothing spectacular. CGI is clearly CGI, and perhaps having the aliens so up-and-close was not the best choice. The ambience, though, is very suspenseful and frightening, especially when slow pace is setting the mood for a thrill. As aforementioned, editing is alright, but the setup was too short. I'd sacrifice the scene with the small-sized alien for more setup, which could develop the Brynn character further. The sound effects are alright, but nothing that should give you goosebumps or something. General effects overall, if you will. The ending was dark, but not highly aligned with the Brynn character's desire. Because Brynn has no development in the beginning, the ending feels a bit out of place and, perhaps, too dark. The ending also does match Brynn's persona at all as she dismisses a slightly diminished version of the ending previous to the actual ending. NOWSY tries to send a strong message about anxiety and society cancelling, but Direction misses the point. Though, NOWSY is thrilling, and the horror elements are there, NOWSY ends with a dark tone that feels out of place with the overall movie pacing and plot. For horror geeks, it is recommendable, but NOWSY is no masterpiece

This movie does not let up, from the moment the first invasion begins it is awesome throughout. The lack of dialogue is not distracting in any way. Great mixes on the standard alien look. Fun and tense set pieces. This deserved a full theatrical release.

Major amounts of plot contrivances. Within just the first 35 minutes, there are so many mind numbing decisions made..... consecutively...... from both human and aliens alike. For example: A race of interstellar aliens who are far more advanced than humanity, are apparently unable to track and safely detain a very noisy and panicked young woman let alone someone who would actually pose a threat? You know, like somebody with a gun? Additionally, this total idiot of an alien gets killed and apparently none of his comrades notice or care enough to check in on the house he was last at (this somehow changes over the course of the runtime). It's an oxymoron to have aliens who are dimwitted morons. By their very arrival Earth means they are technologically superior; the only reason the panicked young woman is able to get the upper hand is through MASSIVE amounts of plot contrivances/plot armor. It really is just one absurd piece of luck after the next. Does it build tension? Yes. And there were several times where I was truly gripped. However, each one of those moments of being thrilled was ruined by absurd plot armor. The ending is just a stupid cherry on top. Apparently this woman is the only person in town with trauma? She was alienated by her community and then in the end becomes the only one without the body snatching throat thing? I don't care.... outside of the great acting from the lead actress and a few moments of suspense, this is a very dumb movie. Only recommend if you are truly die hard fan of sci-fi horrors.

Horror movies starring aliens, especially in full blown visual form, are supremely rare these days, so marrying the "isolated home invasion" sub-genre with extraterrestrials seems like an instant win. For the most part "No One Will Save You" excels at what it's trying to accomplish. The omission of traditional dialogue and more observational storytelling help sell the loneliness of the film's protagonist and, by association, her desperation throughout. It has its fair share of jump scares, but the constant dread and anxiety is what propels this movie to be better than a lot of its contemporaries. Fully showing its hand a little early kills a little of the tension, but not enough to make you comfortable. My biggest gripe with No One Will Save You is its ending that feels a little rushed and a little confusing - not that you won't understand what's happening, but moreso why it's happening. Overall - No One Will Save You is a good balance of turn-your-brain-off jumpy horror schlock AND elevated, smart horror that just meanders a bit at the end. It's engrossing and a ton of fun with friends, and Dever's performance is incredible. It's a solid horror entry in general but easily one of the best alien-themed horror films of all time.

Genuinely a fun experience. Horror-wise, this movie is not for me, since aliens are not the way to make me scared. But, I loved the way the concept was approached here. I always knew about this alien culture, mainly in the United States, but except for "Destroy All Humans!", there wasn't much reference for me other than memes. To my surprise, this movie does its job well. Some sequences are crazy, and the fact that 99% of the time, the plot is driven by well-directed cinematography only is crazy. There's no dialogue, and yet you comprehend mostly everything. A pretty good movie to watch unpretentiously.

No One Will Save you has impressive visuals, solid performances and enough legitimate moments of tension and suspense throughout. It doesn't always work, but when it does it does so in terrific fashion.

"No One Will Save You" makes use of some classic stylistic elements of the horror movie, but it is definitely not the typical science fiction horror movie. The film dispenses almost entirely with verbal communication and instead makes use of other audiovisual means. Something that we already know from films like "A Quiet Place", for example, and which has also been implemented excellently here. Kaitlyn Dever delivers a great performance as the main character (Brynn) and definitely carries this film.
The story itself is pretty freaky and, in my opinion, is also brought to an appropriate conclusion. With this type of story, that's not always easy to do without it seeming too ridiculous, absurd or out of place. I would describe the film as a psycho thriller with a sci-fi touch.
If you have no problems with a few jump-scares and are fed up with the typical unimaginative Hollywood flicks copied 100 times, you will surely like this movie. However, the sci-fi component is not necessarily the strongest part of this film and seems a bit cliché in parts, which is why I take a few points off the rating.

(Mauro Lanari)
The Easter eggs vicariate creativity: if the gold mines of domestic invasion, psychic trauma and extraterrestrials have been exhausted until the last petita, the parade of this euphemistic homages replaces and makes up for them. Duffield gets mixed up looking for something different and candidly admits that he was interested in ending the film with the protagonist smiling, whether it was dream or reality: psychotic delusion, guilt, isolation, loneliness, alien to her community except when she reconstructs its model at home, or abduction from "War of the Worlds" that reintegrates her into a world managed and governed by the "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". In his slyly letting the viewer free on the correct interpretative key to adopt (metaphor/allegory or not?), the director manifests "all the emptiness of an arrogant and specious operation" (Giacomo Calzoni).

I am always interested in people doing something new and this film certainly does that. It already felt different when the premise was a home invasion with aliens. However, it also has minimal dialogue with maybe 5 whole dialogue throughout the whole 90 minutes.Massive props to the lead actress, Kaitlyn Dever, as the main character Brynn. She has the job of conveying the emotions of her character solely by facial and body language which she succeeds at. I also love the first 2 acts of this film as the tension and horror amounts. This film is not going to be for everyone. The lack of dialogue might annoy people and make it difficult for people to invest in the character. The last act and ending are a forceful way to tie everything together, and not everyone will understand it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this one massively and hope to see more interesting films like this one.

A neat allegory for what it means to be alien or other. If you don't **** many questions and appreciate an homage to lose Encounters, it's a fun but stress-inducinghomage o that movie and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. What really put it over the line for me was Dever's performance. She really carries the **** I loved the ending.

The movie is completely silent, no dialogue from the main character, just an amazing performance from her expressions, and the noises. The movie leaves us with doubts, and leaves a big opening. For exemple, we can ask ourselves : is Brynn suffering from a mental illness? No One Will Save You leaves us to our interpretation, and it's really exiting. My respect to the shooting scenes that were really inventive, the soundtracks/special effects were incredible. Also, the aliens were really vintage. It's just fun and intelligent. Finally, the movie offers to the public home invasion without us knowing : how did they came here ? Why ? And it works, because it keeps us looking for the next thing all the time. My Sign of 2023

Kaitlyn Dever plays a woman who experiences an alien invasion…in her home. When she's trapped with the creature, this film has some edge. About 2/3 thru, she ventures outside and the story becomes more sci-fi and less thriller. As almost the only human on camera, Dever does a good job of holding her own. Since we know pretty quickly what's invading, it's more about the tension and what comes next. The first part is effective in creating mild apprehension, but the final third veers into a conceptual direction with lower anxiety. It's an interesting hybrid of 2 genres.

Don’t listen to the lazy reviews mentioning “home alone” and “lack of narrative” due to almost zero dialogue. The few words uttered in this film have all the more power. A brave decision, we’ll worth your 90 minutes.

I can appreciate that it avoids predictability. There was potential in that, but the rest can't live up to it. The prime ability of No One Will Save You lies in its creative approach to storytelling. The absence of dialogue and reliance on sound creates a unique atmosphere. Given the story revolves around a young girl facing an alien invasion all alone in her home, developing stealthy behavior to survive is the soul and spirit of its performance. Everything goes smoothly until the first 25 minutes, and Kaitlyn Dever's character is far from a typical, helpless protagonist. She acts strategically and fights back. However, after the initial attack, the film takes a disappointing turn and begins to squander its best elements to create something even more tense and perhaps horrifying and instead goes down a path that turns what it originally set out to do into a frustrating exercise in banality that is further hindered by the total lack of narrative context for the protagonist's situation. The script is not skillful enough to sustain the tension, the suspense, and even less the empathy and investment of interest that you get to have in her. It presents a cat-and-mouse game that grows tiresome with repetition. Beyond its virtues in grounding its themes in fear, unresolved trauma and social alienation, No One Will Save You fails to provide any meaningful catharsis and this deficiency arises from its decision to rely solely on physical actions to convey emotions, as it opts for no dialogue to complement the narrative. And it's not that you can't understand what's going on but that will only get you so far, and that mistake belongs entirely to the director. Kaitlyn Dever does her best and successfully manages to bring depth to her character within the confines of her role, but the entire execution of the film fails to serve her performance well in the face of all that is lost for the background of her character. No One Will Save You certainly had ambitions to break out of the mold of both sci-fi and existential drama, but it lacks the context and qualities necessary to satisfy both narrative threads. Disappointing.

If you're not paying attention, you could accidentally mistake this thoughtful gem for a simple thriller. It reminds me of an Alex Garland movie with it's intricate premise, but the lack of dialogue allows it to stand artistically on it's own.

'No One Can Save You' prescinds from dialogue to bet everything on emotions. It works at first, but then the gimmick runs out of steam. The third act feels too forced; the link between the character's trauma and the fantastic element is not convincing. In the end, we are left with a thriller about an alien invasion with some ingenious moments that, however, succumbs by not being able to handle the psychological background of the protagonist effectively.

No substance not so ever. Character acting out of context or forced behaviour in to be original, like the no speak or dialogs, but completely innaprpriate in situation or context. Its totally unnatural and break the drama if there is one.
All is convoluted with no story, the actor play is desastrous in accord with the so called originality in detriment of narrative. Itwoul be a mediocre short. Dont waste your time.

This movie has no dialogue so if that is a deal breaker for you, this isn't your kind of film. It's about a young woman dealing with the recent death of her mom living in isolation while building miniature houses. After being attacked one night by an alien intruder, She quickly realizes that no one in her town is capable of helping her. I honestly wanted to like this one but they took what would have been an interesting short film and made it into a feature-length drag. The movie is far too uneventful and what few interesting moments that it does have happen to few and far between. This easily could have been into an hour and it would have been much better off for it. Especially with how simplistic the plot is and how predictable the twist is.
