Boring campaign, SBMM manipulating the matches, bad UI, and strange progression make this game a lot worse than it should be. Don't get me wrong, the MP is fun, but it could be much better.

I did not beat this game because of two main reasons. First, my scouts were stuck due to a bug. Basically, my save was ruined since they couldn't go back to the city. After some quick research, I noticed this bug has been happening since 2020 or something like that. The second reason is that the game is hard. Even without the bug, I don't know if finishing the game on the first try was possible, and since I don't have much time to play games, I focus on beating them as fast as possible. In this one, I knew that wouldn't be happening. Even so, this game is special. The moral dilemmas, OST, graphics, and overall art design make it worth trying.

Pretty good game for 2008. It's still very playable, and its graphics hold up well. Also, getting 4K at 120Hz is pretty easy. The story was a little unclear to me, but it was still interesting enough to motivate me to continue. The progression pace was not the best and the overall scenario feel homogeneous. The horror atmosphere didn't get me, however, wtf was the last jump scare, man? I do recommend it and will play dead space 2.

Well, it was a hell of an experience. First of all, I really need to talk about the audio here. This is Dolby Atmos at its true potential, guys. It's crazy. The pursuits felt super scary because you can literally hear the thing behind you. The height channels were well used, and the whole object-based audio was on point. The explosions were super impactful too. To be honest, I don't think someone playing this on headphones or regular stereo speakers can understand half of this game's potential. Gameplay-wise, the game held my interest until the end. It's not a walking simulator since there are pursuits and tasks to do. But yeah, much of this game is exploration. As I said, with a good system, it's worth your time. I loved the deep blacks as well. It's OLED recommended for sure. About the plot, I was engaged. It was a little emotional in the end because I put myself in the protagonist's shoes. But it may not be for everybody. Anyway, it's a great addition to Game Pass.

That's the best game I’ve ever played. I usually avoid replaying games or rewatching movies that I’ve already seen and had a flawless experience with, because some things are meant to impact only once. At least, when we're talking about major events or factors that lose their impact when you know what’s going to happen. However, Gris, for me, was even more impactful on the second playthrough. The visuals were something out of this world on my OLED display. The OST sounded so alive when played in a 5.1 multi-channel setup. The meaning of the game was clearer, and somehow the journey became personal. I don't know how to explain it. It was magical. Because of that, I'm definitely buying Neva on day one. Nomada Studio deserves it.

Boring. I don’t know if this type of combat became a trend here, but in 2024, it’s considered repetitive. And pretty easy too. The premise is good, but I don’t know. I don’t notice any character development here. Things just happen and that’s it. It’s purely a game. To be fair, the game is well optimized. It runs well in 21:9.

This was underwhelming, for sure. I already beat it like... 8 years ago. Since I had little experience in gaming in general, I pretty much loved it. I finished with over 60 hours. However, replaying it was a mistake. First, the dialogue is bad. We're talking about an RPG with companions, such as Baldur's Gate 3. Why does the dialogue feel so bland? It doesn't resemble any human interaction I've seen. There are some pauses between lines that reveal the script so much that... holy ****. The characters as a whole are uninteresting as well. Not only that, the gameplay is basically automated, at least on normal difficulty. The TTK is so huge that it becomes honestly boring. And I'm talking about regular enemies. At least the game runs well, but that's not enough, unfortunately.

I know the best experience with Diablo is with friends. I do believe I'd have a lot of fun playing co-op. However, singleplayer is still an elective way of playing here. About that... The first hour was pretty good. The story was interesting, the narrative as well. Playing as a Sorcerer made me excited since there's a lot to customize in your build. The visuals were mediocre at best. I loved the vignette though; it looks unbelievably good on OLED displays. But that was it. After playing for about five hours, the story felt so uninspired. Clearly, the plot is not a main game factor here. Gameplay looks different, since you have a lot of new powers, but it feels exactly the same. As I said, with friends, you will probably not care that much, but alone...

I do like the style, atmosphere, and adaptation of this game visually. My problem, though, is that it feels flat in terms of gameplay — at least for the first hour and a half. Most of it involves simple dodging and literally just one combo with a knife, which isn't very interesting, to be honest. I could talk about the plot, but the reality is that I didn't quite grasp it. I know it's a sequel, but if it relies too heavily on the first game, that's not a compelling reason to play it—and that's how I felt. The only thing I truly appreciated was the map itself. As I mentioned, the atmosphere is genuine, even with clear graphic limitations. I wouldn't recommend this game. However, if you're really determined to play it, start with the first one—it will make more sense.

However, for some reason, the brakes won't stop working, which made it impossible to play. I tried every solution online, but it wasn't enough. I hate EA for not fixing it. I also hate PC for having so many problems. I'm going back to consoles just because of that. And oh, the abusive prices on hardware either.

It's hard not to recognize how good this game is, even today - almost ten years later. I remember playing the beta and instantly falling in love with it. Hell, I remember the hype from the first trailer. Everyone talking about it, theorizing, etc. The graphics were mind-blowing, even on the Xbox One. The atmosphere was - or better... is - unmatched. The OST brings back many memories after all those years. Dude, I miss this game. But that's one of the good parts of having a good campaign. Even if there's no one playing it, you can have an amazing experience. I tried to play the BF4 campaign before and I just quit. Why? After beating it 5 times over years, the flaws became so visible. BF1, on the other hand, after beating a good amount of times either, remains amazing as the first time I played it.

Man, I have good memories of this game. It was my first battlefield on the Xbox One. I wanted to buy the previous one (Battlefield 4), but it wasn't available on the local shop. Fortunately, the game was amazing. I met several friends there, I loved the 64 players TDM, conquest felt intense, and having a game where vehicles weren't OP was refreshing. Seeing heli's with 300/1 KD was depressing **** balancing was kinda broken, I assume. Fal, for example, was extremely OP. The maps were good - also visually speaking. Today, because of the over competitiveness scenario, several FPS maps look bland. Going on... sniping felt clean. The game ran well on the Xbox One, and servers weren't a problem. The campaign didn't get old too well. I mean, with 15yo and a limited repertory, it was pretty good. Nowadays, it is mid at max. But since there's no multiplayer, at least I remembered the good old days.

Yep, the magic of Far Cry 1 had just disappeared.Technically, this sequence is better. The physics, logic, ambient response, and overall graphics were good for the moment it was launched. Unfortunately, it was not enough to hook me in. The story, at least in the first 2 hours, is absent. Far Cry 1, at least, was a solid "dumb" game. You know it, the game itself knows it, and that's okay. Here, make sure to choose an uninteresting character, shoot everybody, and shut **** gameplay started to feel washed right here, down to 2008, boys. There's no palpable difficulty, and, to make things worse, aim is boring (as are the weapons themselves).

I was not expecting to love this game, since the first one was a bit mediocre to me. I mean, it was a good game, but nothing special. Now, for some reason, I loved this one. Because of that, I'll replay Spider-Man 1 just to know if the problem was me. First of all, that's probably the best-looking game I've ever played. And this is awesome since I played it on an RTX 2060. High settings, 4K Ultrawide, and HDR: OMG, it is really impressive. The face model's detail, the scenario with all that snow, the vibrant colors, the incredible night visuals, and, of course, the photography. That mix of things made this game a must-play for HDR lovers. That's one of the best games out there to test your new TV/Hardware. And talking about it... This game has good optimization. 4K ultrawide + DLSS Quality is flawless. Upscale in this game looks almost as native res. Gameplay-wise, I liked the new implementation. Those Miles' Powers have some crazy impact. You feel strong and versatile. Since the game's duration is short, you will unlikely get bored. Also, props to the choreography team. The finishes looked amazing. Unfortunately, the story is not that good. Fortunately, it is short, so you don't really think about it as much as you should. But that's one of the same reasons why it is mediocre. There's not much time for development. Feels rushed, honestly. That's sad because the end was pretty good, at least technically. It just lacked substance to shine properly. But anyway, I had fun here. I do recommend it, mostly to 21:9 enjoyers. Hyped for Spider-Man 2 now.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Jan 29, 2024
My problem with Shadow of the Tomb Raider is that it focuses mostly on former elements of the franchise, implementing them badly, and takes away the good things. Out of the three, this one is the most story-driven game. That's not a problem - I mean, not exactly. What makes this decision bad is the flatness around the plot. There's no substance, and the worst part about it is that the same thing happened in the last two games. The first one at least had a great premise and non-stop action. Rise had great action as well and amazing graphics, but the story, with more time-consuming cutscenes and attempts at character development, already showed some flaws. Shadow has the same issue as the last two games, but with a highlight around it, since there are too many cutscenes, exploration, and talking. The action? It's honestly rare and even feels bad when it happens - I'll talk about it later. So... why is the plot flat? Ironically, since they even mentioned it at the beginning, you feel like everything revolves around Lara. Everything. There is not even one character that remotely grabs your attention. Not even one. The story only progresses when Lara does something, and that's exhausting. The only thing that matters to the plot is Lara's development. Everyone around her is soulless. And I'll even say more: I don't give a **** about Paititi or the box or whatever it is. Why should I care, honestly? Since the characters are flat, I don't really care if everyone dies. Just to make my point: I don't think every game should have an amazing story. The first two are also mediocre, but since most of the time you're shooting people - and it is super fun, you don't care about how silly the story is. Here, most of the time, you're walking, solving extremely easy puzzles, chatting, and doing fake climbing. Dude, that's one of the worst climbing mechanics I've ever played. They tried to surpass the limits of difficulty here, but it feels so... automated. There is no skill behind it. The only times I died are because I had no idea what I should do, and that's it. That's almost as bad as Uncharted climbing, but at least TR has impressive graphics. The action is rare, as I said. But when it happens, is it any good? Somehow, no. For some reason, shooting feels strange. It's unresponsive, the sound is not convincing, and the impact on the enemies looks like nerf. The only thing that remains cool is the bow. There's a lot to talk about this game, but I'm starting to get tired, so I'll jump to the good things. The 21:9 support is really good; the optimization is incredible, honestly; HDR feels amazing, as do the graphics; the ambiance is cool, but it gets boring since there's not much variety in scenarios like the last game; and that's it. I still recommend it. It is short, the game has amazing graphics indeed, which is good if you have a new TV/PC, and if you really like Lara Croft, the story can be bearable, like it was for me.

Solid evolution from the last game. The mechanics are deeper, the graphics are better, the gimmick moments are more impactful, and the story gains more emotional layers. But there are some bad points too. Gunplay feels deeper in this game. It's a little harder, since you have less ammo available. You can't autoheal in higher difficulties, enemies flank more often and throw things at you a lot to make you rotate. Because of that, crafting becomes important to get special ammo, and mitigating the use of some weapons becomes important (you don't want to get in a bad spot with no shotgun ammo). Graphics-wise, this game is beautiful. I played in 4K Ultrawide with max settings. It's so easy to be impressed here. The scenarios, illumination, destruction, and overall cinematic look make a huge difference. Not to talk about the facial expressions. It's hard not to admire Lara's face often. Unfortunately, the 21:9 aspect ratio doesn't work in cutscenes, which breaks the experience. The performance was really unstable, but since I'm playing in 4K with an RTX 2060, I'll not complain about it. About the story... well, the premise is not as good as the last game, honestly. The best part about it is there is more emphasis on Lara's persona. It's not that deep, but it's there, and I know it will be explored in the next game. That said, the characters could be more interesting. Feels like everything goes around Lara. That breaks the immersion a little. But there's a lot of potential here. Some things that are worth mentioning: Amazing OST, good level design, rich environments, and, not less important, kinda disappointing gun sounds. I'm not asking for a Battlefield audio design level, but this does feel flat. Like the guns are toys. That said, I'm really excited for the next game.

11 years later, and this game is still amazing. Tomb Raider was the first game I completed (100%) on my Xbox One in 2015. It was a pretty good experience, and I've beaten it multiple times after the first playthrough. This time, I played it in 4K Ultrawide, and holy ****, this game is already cinematic, but with more FOV and letterbox, it gets flawless. The action sequences, destruction, and cutscenes just got to another level. If you can play it on an ultrawide monitor/TV, you should definitely give it a chance. The story is good, and so are the graphics, but I keep coming back because of two reasons: Gameplay and atmospheric scenarios. I love the island, and killing enemies feels so damn good - even on a controller, which is a good complement coming from a former Competitive FPS PC player. That happens because this game can be challenging sometimes, which requires good aim to get headshots, arsenal understanding, and fluent movement to not get flanked. Otherwise, at higher difficulties, one miss can result in you being killed. I'm excited to replay Rise of The Tomb Raider now.

Before trying out this game, I've literally played five games unsuccessfully—download, play, uninstall. Just like this. So, when a 2004 game could do what some modern games can't (captivate me), you know there's something special here. First of all, Far Cry 1 is surprisingly atmospheric, mostly because of the audio design, though the graphics are pretty cool, even for today. Also, the game can easily run at 144fps, which guarantees you some fluid gameplay, a thing that not most old games can deliver. The story is not a big deal, but it works well as a background to what is happening. Now, what really is good here is the gameplay. It didn't get old like wine as Halo CE, but it still holds today for sure. It is responsive and challenging. Mostly, you can't run and shoot like an average brainless COD campaign. You die a lot on higher difficulties, and you're forced to learn the mechanics, as well as the level design and enemy locations. Feels good when you outplay them. I'm curious about Far Cry 2. It's a shame that, beyond Far Cry 3, we just got the same formula over and over.

This game has an amazing beginning. Truly. It is intimate. You're invited to the family's house after a short travel—a portrait that we probably had not long ago with our parents. In the middle of the night, you take control of a baby and start to see strange things. Since we honestly felt vulnerable during that specific section, when we start to control the father, everything calms down, and all of a sudden, you kinda forget what you saw. Because of that, when an explosion happens, calling you to reality, we feel scared for our family. Look, that first 10 minutes are the best in the game. It's beautifully directed, with amazing photography, and overall art direction. Unfortunately, the really good stuff ends here. My interest in this game was inversely exponential. The gameplay felt empty for several reasons. As a matter of comparison, "Inside" made you think about something you saw or heard in every chapter. The story was obscure—literally. But you have some pieces to put together, which was enough to interpret the plot. Here, after 30 minutes, you only feel lost. The puzzles are too simple to capture your attention, and since the story doesn't move, it's like you're losing your time. The team behind this game has a lot of potential though.

If they focused more on the plot, leaving aside graphics (which are good here), the game probably would work even better. That's not the case. "Masterpiece" two decades ago, but does it still hold up today? Not exactly. I mean, if you liked Vice City (VC) and GTA 3, San Andreas (SA) is a solid game with much to offer in comparison . The scope is considerably higher than VC, with a big map and a longer campaign. Now, if you didn't like VC and GTA 3 because of the outdated mechanics, it didn't get any better here. I still find the plot a little boring and hollow - it's too silly for what I was expecting. The mission design gets repetitive fast. Also, getting from point A to B just to start doing what really matters is a crazy waste of time. At least we have checkpoints here, unlike GTA 3. I felt the campaign could be a little shorter. Some quests are just there to waffle - if not in full extent, in some specific part. A good example: to do the last mission, you have to take gang territories. A lot of them. More often than it should, the enemies necessary to trigger the gang war just didn't spawn. It's not that bad if you compare it to the tasks you have to do in GTA VC (buy assets to do the last missions), but if you take into consideration that some missions are just as boring as that... In conclusion, SA is a good game, but I honestly only beat it to have more repertoire. It's not that fun today, sadly.

A solid evolution from the past game, for sure. However, there are some flaws that made this game not that appealing today. First of all, the graphics are pretty good on the Definitive Edition - playing at 4K HDR. It's probably the best-looking GTA in terms of colors. I love the color palette and the overall theme. The acting has improved significantly, and the story is much more engaging compared to GTA III. Gameplay is objectively better, with great vehicle control and more responsive gunfights. The only thing that got on my nerves here is how Rockstar made some missions specifically to increase the game's duration. Some are so boring that I honestly quit the game pretty close to the last mission. Basically, to unlock the game finale, you have to complete some assets, which involve buying six businesses and doing their missions. I didn't have the money, so all I could do was wait for the assets to generate money, so I could buy the remaining ones. I bought four out of six, and it was enough for me. I saw the last mission on YouTube, and since it's not a big deal, I feel like I saved my time. Being forced to play side quests that don't add anything to the main story was a dumb decision. Also, I liked the references, but that was it. There's nothing so original here about the plot. I still recommend it, but with those caveats.

Not gonna lie, I only beat it to build up my repertoire - and prepare for GTA VI. It's a fun game, mostly because of its unpredictability, but its formula didn't age well. It's playable but repetitive af. Basically, all you do is follow orders: do this and that, several times. The story is only here to serve the gameplay. That's not a problem in itself if the gameplay were more varied. Most of the time you're driving, which is bad, sinthe the traffic and physics are the worst I've ever played. To make things worse, there are no checkpoints, so when you die, you have to redo the entire mission - including the absolutely boring part, which usually involves traveling to the actual mission. Speaking of dying... is the game difficult? Not exactly. Most of the missions are fine. What makes you die often is the fact that the physics are crazy. It's really hard to explain how bad it is to drive in GTA III. Also, you can swim. Other than that, it's pretty okay. If you're thinking about beating all the GTA games, I sure recommend it. I understand that they wanted this game to be as friendly as possible to new players, but the progression paid the price. The beginning is kinda slow if you came to this game right after playing the predecessor. Naturally, it gets better. The problem is... difficulty. Ghostrunner 1 was hard at the beginning. but when you get the timing, it starts to get so satisfying. Here, most of the time, the game is too easy. And the boss fights are irresponsible and 90% gimmick. Just to be clear: I'm not asking for a souls-like, just a game with solid difficulty that encourages the player to get a little better. Beyond that, the graphics are better. The story is more complex than the first one. Althought I didn't understand almost anything because the dialogue was not as interesting as the gameplay. At least, Ghostrunner 1 was straight to the point. The level design is good most of the time. Could be more challenging, but it's good. Hel is amazing and, right after beating the main campaign, that still felt new. The gameplay is even more aggressive, with new enemies and platform designs. Story-wise, I liked the addition myself. It's not the focus, but it is good. I recommend it.

How have I not played this game before? It's really amazing playing something where the focus is on the gameplay. This game has a cool story, with a simple but efficient plot and characters; nice graphics and a cool OST. The art direction and level design are well-tied. All of this, along with the gameplay itself, adds to the world-building. You feel like a Ghostrunner progressively. But why? This game, unlike many others, understands its premise and holds it still. The mechanics are simple and not many. With time, the game will introduce more skills that could change your gameplay considerably. Since the difficulty is hard sometimes, you will die a lot, but it never feels unfair. Also, since the respawn is immediate, you are actively playing 99% of the time. There is no time to cry about it because two seconds after your death, you are already trying again, with more accuracy or different paths. Oh, and the challenge is also in the movement. There are a lot of "platform" moments in the game that require a lot of coordination. I loved it all. Like Doom, this game mixes all of your learned skills until the end. As I said, you progressively start to feel like a Ghostrunner. To mention something I believe could be better here: the boss fights. They were much more gimmicky than fights themselves. The parry window was too big, and the movements were slow. It's strange to think that the game's difficulty decreases in the boss fights specifically. Well, at least their design was cool. There was a lot I liked here. I'm going to play the sequence right now. I hope it's like this gem.

A fun and intimate experience; however, the story did not touch me in any way. I can see why some people like it, but it was just not for me. Gameplay-wise, it is really simple but effective. You truly feel like you're climbing, but I think spamming should be punished – I started doing that in the endgame, to be honest. I know the game's intent is not to be challenging, though. Also, that doesn't mean the gameplay couldn't be a little more profound, such as having level design that expects you to choose the best path intelligently to manage your stamina effectively. I also believe the game is not always that intuitive regarding the path you should take. But I don't know, maybe I'm just not very smart, since most of the time, the way was right in front of me. The graphic is good enough and the game runs fine, but should be better since is simple. About the iniciative itself, I loved. I expect Don't Nod tries more games like that in the future.

Honestly, if you're going to sacrifice most of the gameplay to the detriment of the story, make sure the plot is solid somehow. Alan Wake 2 has an amazing beginning. The graphics and art direction are on point, and that's undeniable. It is slow, but that's okay. With time, you become more and more engaged in the investigation. I really liked how they approached the concept of the mind palace and how it works smoothly. Alan's narrative works quite well too. The OST is also good. Unfortunately, the positives end here. Look, Act 1 and 2 - with Saga - are not perfect but work really well. There is a lot of boring walking, but the investigation keeps growing. You collect data, think about it with Saga, and curiosity comes naturally. Unfortunately, when you are forced to play as Alan Wake, the flaws of this game become evident. If you're going to sacrifice gameplay, Remedy, make sure your plot is solid. Alan Wake's session is so boring. Things start to get hella confusing, and you're forced to explore the "leads" anyway. Ninety percent of the time, you're walking, encountering some talking ghosts, and collecting... lights (?) to change the scenario - and repeat that until exhaustion. Oh my God. Feels overcomplicated on purpose, just to be pretentious, like Tenet. And you know the worst part? This game only has the investigation to offer. After playing for 6 hours, I didn't care about any of the characters. None of them. I wouldn't care if they died. The dialogue is not Remedy's strong suit, and the characters feel lifeless. Want an example? Saga, a typical methodical and rational detective, sees a guy come back from the dead without a heart. What does she do? Goes into the forest at night minutes later. She and her partner didn't question their beliefs even once. What about assessing the risk? This woman has children at home but clearly doesn't care. I honestly ask you: if the characters don't take the story seriously, why should I? That proves my point. If you, at some point, lose interest in the main investigation, beyond the graphics, there's no reason to play this game at all.

After Baldur's Gate 3, it's hard to play another video game for several reasons - even when it's another genre. But I gotta tell you, Lies of P holds pretty well. Its optimization is flawless, the game runs smoothly, and the story is surprisingly deep. Some good things I noticed about this game: the graphics are solid, and when it is on in-game cutscenes... it's really beautiful. There's a "dynamic climate" around all areas, so... if you proceed to an area that's raining (plot-wise), all areas will rain too - it's really immersive and much cooler than it sounds. The OST is well-made, and the soundtrack was perfect. And, gotta say, that's the best soulslike non-FromSoftware I've ever played. They got some elements they liked about Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Sekiro and made this own solid game. Combat feels good most of the time, most bosses are not memorable, but there are some that are definitely top tier, like Laxasia and Nameless Puppet. There are also some things I didn't like, and to be honest, It's more about the actual souls formula than the game itself. The hitbox is pretty questionable sometimes and the upgrade system feels useless. I remember upgrading my weapons in Dark Souls 3 and feeling like a badass for some moments. Here, you feel like nothing changes. I also believe there is some "Elden Ring Syndrome" here, where the enemies were super aggressive, like in Sekiro, but you move like a "Dark Souls 1" Character. Parry feels good, indeed, but It's not rewarding like it should be. Here, parry it's just a defense mechanism. You still have to find an opening to attack to really fight the boss. Feels like 75% of the fight is just the enemies spamming attacks, while you manage to survive. After some time, you get the timing, and it feels way better, but I believe the player should be more active to call the boss fights a "proper fight" between two opponents. Unless you're ONGBAL - then the boss has to find openings to attack you. One more thing: with time, Lies of P gets away from only being a soulslike clone. It proves itself as a much more authentic experience than you are expecting. To be honest, the thing that I was more impressed with was the plot. I love the ending and want a hard sequence.

A pleasant surprise. This game, at least for me, came out of nowhere with a ton of hype and expectations. What could go wrong? Well... A lot of things. Most 2023 games are launching incomplete, with terrible optimization. And that's only the technical matters. Only multiplayer/online, bad plot/dialogue, useless lore and hollow gameplay are pretty common nowadays. Fortunately, Larian Studios is different. First of all, the game is absolutely playable. 4K High settings with Balanced DLSS made me so happy. My 2060 + Ryzen 5 1600 are still good when the game is well optimized. Also, the HDR looks amazing, and the gameplay with a controller is impressive. I mean, that's a turn-based RPG and, somehow, it works beautifully. But what about what matters the most? Plots in video games are rarely as good as some top-tier movies, even when the focus is the campaign. Seeing genuinely good characters' backgrounds, with solid development and plausible dialogues, made me feel so lucky to have the chance to experience it. They look so real, with motivations, ethical/moral clashes, ambitions, etc. Also, their dialogues are rich with subtext content. Along with what is most explicit about the sentence, there are elements that complement their culture, feelings, and motivations. It reminds me of "A Song of Ice and Fire" dialogues. If I am comparing BG3 to GRRM's writing, you know that the game is good. I cannot forget about the voice acting. It is so good that it made me like characters that I usually would not like just by their voice (Astarion and Lae'zel at first). Also, their development comes mainly from personal quests - which are amazing. And talking about them... That's probably the first time that a game made me play the side quests from the adventure itself. I really didn't give a damn about the rewards - and that's an amazing complement, since the game is challenging, and you have to pay attention to those types of stuff. I explored a lot (around 65h of gameplay), and I still want more. They were memorable, fun, sad - all of those feelings together sometimes. The gameplay was challenging, immersive, and pretty variable. I never thought I would like a turn-based RPG so much. It's crazy how much you can do differently just by having another approach. Also, I loved the bosses. BG3 made me feel a lot of things. I felt manipulated, happy and sad about outcomes, characters' destiny, excited by some fights, in love with the OST, intrigued with the world-building, and, most of all, a true fearless wizard fighting for his and their friends' freedom.

It works, but after 60 hours of playing it, Bethesda's formula feels outdated. I've completed all faction sidequests, done some exploration, and finished the main story. I was hoping for more, and believe me, I wasn't even hyped. The story is good, as are the characters. However - avoiding major spoilers, I kind of already saw much of this plot in other films/games. The final act doesn't feel new or that surprising, after you take some time to think about it. Also, the missions are so similar to each other, both in terms of level design and gameplay overall. Regarding the characters, well, the interaction still feels somewhat robotic. It's better than in Fallout, but not as good as it could be. I liked the fact that they have specific chats with you after some missions. You can "level up" the relationships as well, granting you new missions. But that's about it. What about the additions they made in gameplay? Basically, shooting things and carrying your stuff. That's it. It would be so cool if every companion could impact your gameplay by the default weapon they were using. Imagine if Sarah was a close-quarters specialist. Barret, on the other hand, could deploy shields and heal you. Man, there was nothing new to this game that could avoid how hollow it feels in terms of gameplay. Shooting is as simple as it could be. The difficulty is a joke. Playing at the hardest difficulty just requires more ammo and med packs. It's not really challenging. As for the exploration, I was expecting some breathtaking scenarios, like what I saw in the trailer. Man, in 60 hours, I only saw like 3 good ones. The rest was forgettable. Almost as repetitive as No Man's Sky. I cannot forget to mention the terrible optimization. This game is only playable because of FSR - which is on by default, even on ultra settings. And the bugs... my god. Everywhere. Not as many as we are used to, but it breaks the immersion. It's good. At the end of the day, I was kind of addicted to it. But it's far from being a definitive game of its genre.

Great visuals, good OST, and a captivating atmosphere can describe this game in the beginning. I loved the UI and how the narrative works. It felt pretty unique and different than what I'm used to. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is quite weak. The game slows down when it is supposed to push us in and becomes repetitive with time. The dialogs are good but not enough to sustain the game. There are some aspects that I enjoyed here. The pixel art felt careful and, because of the period it passes, matches with the atmosphere. Some deep scenes were beautiful also. The prologue worked for me, and I was genuinely curious about it. The characters got my attention fast enough. Before I forget, the OST was a highlight here. Regrettably, the plot doesn't sustain itself. Gameplay-wise, it feels a little empty. There's no challenge, at least in the first 3 hours, and what makes you go ahead is mostly the story and visuals. That's okay for me, but if the gameplay is off, the narrative must be pretty good to compensate. And It is? Some critiques say that the end is amazing, but man, I don't want to play for 9 hours just to the end. What about the path? The dialogs were too "silly" for me. Cute, but silly. There are some holes too, mostly on some ellipses. Anyway, I think you should try, but didn't work for me as intended.

After playing so much NFS Underground 1, I don't know, this one didn't get me again. I love my memories of playing it as a child - because of that, I tried harder to like this one again. Unfortunately, that was not the case. For me, besides the main song, all the other ones didn't fit to me. That's ok since It is expected. The real problem was the open-world design and overall progression. Traveling from race A to Race B felt like a solid waste of time. The progression, a solid aspect of Underground 1, seems pretty slow here. Oh, and the plot... anyone managed to pay attention? I don't think this game aged well enough for me.

I enjoyed the concept and I'm curious about what these developers could achieve if this game were AAA and had more content. The idea is fantastic, and the execution creates a captivating atmosphere. It instills a sense of insecurity where communication and coordination are essential. Ammunition is scarce, the map is hostile, resources are hard to come by, and enemies are ruthless. All of these factors contribute to the game's uniqueness. If you have three friends who are committed to learning the game, you're in for an enjoyable experience. However, if you're playing solo, the gameplay isn't the main focus here. Unfortunately, the game doesn't maintain my interest over time. I've played for 30 hours and nearly reached the end of Rundown 2.0. It was fun, but the game lacks progression. You start with all the guns, and the cosmetic options are somewhat lacking. Additionally, there's no actual storyline. While you can read documents, they don't contribute to a "real" overarching plot. The dialogues are repetitive and become annoying after a while. Customization, proper progression, and an engaging plot are all areas where the game falls short. As a result, I kinda quit "too early." On the technical side, the audio design is quite impressive, although the graphics could be better given the price point. The map design stands out, but it does become monotonous after a while. Lastly, optimization could be significantly improved.

I enjoyed my initial experience with the original LOF, but at present, it feels distant. Being a narrative-driven game, it's crucial to engage the player in the story. However, this time around, I didn't find myself as engrossed. The gameplay remains rather straightforward, revolving around acquiring items and uncovering more about the protagonist's past. The issue lies in the fact that the horror elements fail to generate the level of excitement I was hoping for. My overall experience was quite neutral, and that's quite disappointing. Visually, they've done a commendable job, but I'm starting to wonder if this game might not align with me anymore.

Great game. It's enjoyable to play, especially if you're not accustomed to playing racing games with a proper sense of progression anymore. While I'm a fan of Forza games, I have to admit that I genuinely missed this kind of experience. Starting with a seemingly "underpowered" car and progressively becoming faster through your own skill and effort is an incredibly satisfying feeling. In terms of gameplay, considering it's a game from 2003, it remains impressive. However, there are certain aspects that haven't aged well. I wasn't particularly fond of the gimmick NPCs. It becomes evident at some point that the game employs calculations to position cars conveniently along your route. Beyond the sixtieth event, the game introduces some monotonous six-lap circuits that can become quite tedious – a single mistake hitting a curve or colliding with a gimmick car can lead to failure. Nevertheless, the cars themselves are impressive, and their customization options are noteworthy. On the other hand, the soundtrack is terrible. Regardless, if you're a fan of racing games, it's definitely worth giving this game a try.

Good gameplay and graphics but it lacks some important aspects tho. Movement and combat are good. Not Dying Light level, but good. Sometimes it feels restrictive, but you get used to those animations. Also, graphics in that context really adds to the experience, because hitting a zombie feels great. Mutilation is on point, and so is physics. Melee, as a gameplay core, is satisfying and all types of it are fun at some point. We also have elements like fire and electricity to modify and change our gameplay style. Fire guns feel Over Powered, but since ammo is not that easy to get all the time, you have to save it for important moments. About the graphics, it's really impressive. Even in 1080p ultra, the game feels photorealistic. LA is amazing. Day or Night, doesn't matter. Facial expressions are pretty good, even though, let's be honest, the script didn't use them to their full potential. But talking about physics, hands down to the amazing water we have high here. Remember the elements I said before? They match perfectly with the gasoline, water, and chemical resources we find on the map. For example, you can get a gallon of water, spread it all over the ground, and hit it with an electricity weapon to kill a horde of zombies. Or use water to clean the chemical that is in your way. it's beautiful and hella fun.

This one was born like that and it's even worse. The factor that made me uninstall the game was the IA. Tell me, what is the point of upgrading your car if the difficulty is going to scale to your level? And worse, they will openly cheat. Sometimes you'll get a major gap from your opponents and they, all of a sudden, spawns behind you and pass you absurdly fast, like your car was stopped. Dude, it's bizarre how much crazy this is. How can my opponent's car be so fast compared to mine if my HP is almost double of required? Just to you lose and restart it. It's sad to see a beloved franchise being killed like this. I miss old Gameloft.

With friends, I wouldn't care, but playing solo evidenced it. Also, the storytelling could be better. I felt so disconnected from it, even trying to understand and engage as hard as I could. And the gameplay? well, it probably can be changed, but moving my character with Mouse 1 was weird and irresponsible several times. Give me WASD, please. Also, since my KB is 60%, I couldn't bind the powers, which limited me to use just two at the same time. Graphic-wise, the remake was dope tho.
