An interesting film with many unanswered questions at the end. As someone who knew nothing about the background to this film, it clearly had many elements from many other films. I felt that the director was heavily leaning on others work, but that it held its own too! The two protagonists were great, and kept me watching to the end. Not even remotely scary though, just a bit weird. The yellow wallpaper was awful and memorable! I'd definitely watch it again.

3:10 to Yuma6
May 25, 2026
Some decent acting towards the end, but a slow and mostly listless affair. The direction was poor, and if it weren't for the leading protagonist and antagonist, the film would have failed for being too boring and uninspiring. I wouldn't be in a hurry to watch it again!
May 25, 2026
Angel Has Fallen6
May 25, 2026
An above average film with lots of action sequences and an ok, but predictable storyline. The acting was good enough to carry me through to the end, and it was well directed. I probably would watch it again, although not for a long time!
May 25, 2026
Tomorrow Never Dies2
May 25, 2026
A poor film with some appallingly outdated jokes, a poor script overall, and a lame storyline. There are some decent action scenes and Brosnan is ok, but mostly it was awful. I couldn't watch it to the end, and I definitely wouldn't watch it again!
May 25, 2026
Angels & Demons7
May 25, 2026
A fatly decent film, with some good direction and lovely settings. Hanks provides his usual high performance as an actor, carrying the film throughout. The storyline is engaging and kept me watching to the end. Some of it is quite dated now, since the Higgs-Boson has been found at Cern. Additionally, it was pretty bizarre how much different parties knew about the architects of buildings in Rome - not sure how realistic that was! All in all though, I enjoyed it and would watch it again!

Ocean's 116
May 25, 2026
A very dated film with some lame jokes and lots of poor dialogue. That said, most of the acting is ok, and the story is engaging enough to keep me watching to the end. Don Cheadle's accent was appalling mind you - shockingly bad! Pretty sure I wouldn't watch it again though!

Force 10 from Navarone6
May 18, 2026
Surprisingly better than I expected, particularly as it was billed as a sequel. Thankfully it's not based on the fictional island of Navarone at all, but loosely attached to the original film. The acting is decent enough, in particular Shaw and Ford, who effectively carried the film. The setting in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is lovely to see. Quite a basic plot, but well directed and it carried me through to the end. I'd probably watch it again!

Triangle of Sadness7
May 17, 2026
Some parts of this film were excellent, others quite boring and vapid. The scene with Harrelson and Burić arguing about communism and capitalism was great, in fact both those actors held up the middle part of the film. It's a shame they weren't it for longer. I loved Berben and her one line 'in den wolken' - brilliant! I thought that **** and Dean were average at best - a bit like their characters in that regard - and their part in the story was fairly weak. The ending was ok, but has been done before and since. Overall though it kept me entertained enough to watch to the end, and I'd watch it again.

Rescue Dawn5
May 17, 2026
An interesting story with some decent acting throughout. However the film was heavily let down by the poor editing and direction. It felt like a badly put together set of episodes with little cohesion. The method acting went a bit far imho ... some of the actors became incredibly emaciated! It kept me entertained enough to watch it all though, so I'd probably watch it again.

I Am Legend9
May 10, 2026
Having watched this film a number of times now, I know that it's enjoyable, has a great storyline and is well acted throughout. The setting and CGI are great, are there's plenty of action throughout that kept me engaged to the end. Considering this is a story from 1954, it's amazing! I'd definitely watch it again!

Unwelcome3
May 3, 2026
A below average film where the two main protagonists are annoying and poorly acted. The story is ok, but to class this as a horror film is a bit rich ... more like a slightly menacing fantasy film! The film started off ok but quickly went down hill. The Red Caps were lame and I was bored by the time they properly entered the film's storyline. I wouldn't bother watching it again.

Get Carter9
May 2, 2026
An excellent but very dark film! The direction and Caine’s acting are great, but the subject matter is grim. I really liked seeing what Newcastle and English life was like back in 1971, and how wealth and living standards have clearly changed over the years. Caine’s character was merciless and brilliantly written and enacted. A surprising amount of sex compared with today’s action films. I’d’ve given it 5 stars but for the reminder of the despicable existence of the reason for Carter’s revenge. I’ve seen it before and would definitely watch it again. A classic!

Meg 2: The Trench4
Apr 30, 2026
Not in the same league as its predecessor! The acting was pretty terrible throughout, and the direction was lazy (not what I'd expect from Wheatley). That said, it was fairly watchable throughout, just not very good! I probably wouldn't watch it again.
Apr 26, 2026
Apex7
Apr 26, 2026
I liked this film. The setting was great, the climbing and rafting appeared realistic. The acting was decent throughout. There was tension, the direction was good. I'd watch it again!
Apr 25, 2026
Chaos Walking5
Apr 25, 2026
A poorly directed and edited film with lots of unfulfilled potential. The acting was decent enough throughout, but the script was lazy and needed padding out to help the viewer buy-in to the characters and to enable some intrigue. Not much suspense throughout, which was a shame because the story-idea was quite good. Average at best! I'd not be in a hurry to watch it again.
Apr 21, 2026
American Sniper5
Apr 21, 2026
A generic run of the mill film with some half decent direction. The acting is ok, though nothing special, and the settings are decent enough. The story comes across as a recruitment drive for the USA seals! It would have been good to understand why he ended up the way he did, as opposed to just a one liner sentence at the end. I'd watch it again maybe, but not for a very long time.
Apr 19, 2026
Knock at the Cabin4
Apr 19, 2026
A mostly stupid film but with some mostly ok direction and acting! The storyline was ridiculous and the choices people made were unrealistic and poorly thought out, lazy! Maybe I'd watch it again a long time from now, when I've forgotten how poor it is!
Apr 19, 2026
Thrash3
Apr 19, 2026
A mostly terrible film with some appalling acting! That said, it was so bad, it became ridiculous in parts and made me laugh at its stupidity! A definite B-movie. Maybe I'd watch it again a log time from now, when 've forgotten how poor it is!
Apr 16, 2026
Never Let Go3
Apr 16, 2026
A wholly predictable storyline from the outset, with little suspense and some very poor casting. The acting wasn't too bad, although it also wasn't good! It was also mostly boring, and I couldn't wait for it to end. I wouldn't watch it again!
Apr 10, 2026
Rocky III6
Apr 10, 2026
A better film than I imagined it would be, as it's managed to stand the test of time. Stallone and Weathers bromance **** against Mr T is pretty good and made me want to take sides! Mr T reminded me of Tyson when he started, so powerful and aggressive. The story itself is wholly predictable, and the character Pauli is a **** throughout! I'd watch it again, although not for another few decades!
Apr 9, 2026
Con Air3
Apr 9, 2026
A mostly terrible film, with one of the worst scores ever! Malkovic and Cage do an ok job, but almost everyone else (even some decent actors!) really struggles with the appalling script. The story is lame, the OTT stunts mostly fail and it's just kind of boring and predictable. The terrible rock guitar riff soundtrack through was one of the worst ever (excluding Sweet Home Alabama)! I wouldn't watch it again!
Apr 4, 2026
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice6
Apr 4, 2026
A slightly better than average film that made me laugh quite a few times with its appalling puns. The acting is ok throughout, as is the direction, which carried me through to the end. The storyline is fairly predictable, and full of holes, but it was quite a fun ride. I'd watch it again!
Apr 1, 2026
Send Help7
Apr 1, 2026
A decent film with a good storyline, and some nice twists and turns. The acting, direction and dialogue were all pretty good, and it easily carried me through to the end. McAdams in particular was strong throughout, and mostly carried the film. I'd definitely watch it again.
Mar 30, 2026
Moonfall3
Mar 30, 2026
A mostly terrible script and storyline, and with poor direction. The CGI was ok I guess. The actors did their best with it, but even they were only ok at best. I wouldn't watch it again.
Mar 26, 2026
Borderlands4
Mar 26, 2026
The concept was quite good, as were some of the sets! The score and incidental music were very poor, as were the direction, editing and most of the acting! I've never played the game, but the art of the film made me think it may be worth a try! I wouldn't watch this film again though!
Mar 18, 2026
Crime 1016
Mar 18, 2026
An above average film due to the acting from Berry and Ruffalo. Everyone else is average at best. The film is overly long, and quite also and dull in places. The story is ok, but not as clever as it likes to think it is, in particular the ending. I'd watch it again, but not for a long time.

I.S.S.6
Mar 11, 2026
Overall a slightly better than average film , although the direction fails to capture enough tension or suspense. The acting, set design, and editing are all decent throughout. The story is only ok though, especially as we know how they reacted throughout the Covid pandemic, and it wasn't like in this film! I'd watch it again, though not for a long time.
Mar 10, 2026
Shelter7
Mar 10, 2026
A decent enough film, better than most Statham fodder. Probably due to the fact that it’s based in the UK and there are no dodgy accents going on. It’s the usual Statham based story though. Direction and acting are basically decent enough. Lots of action, as you’d expect! I’d watch it again!
Mar 9, 2026
War Machine5
Mar 9, 2026
Not bad, but not good either! Are the Americans on an army recruitment drive atm? Transformers in a Predator style, but without the decent CGI or direction, and some mostly lame acting. The script was pretty awful throughout! I didn't care about the people at all, and the machine was like something out of the 90s! I wouldn't be rushing to watch it again!
Feb 26, 2026
Stratton5
Feb 26, 2026
A very average film that was clearly made for TV. It appeared to be a pilot for a series maybe, or perhaps they just hoped for a sequel? Cooper and Chan were ok, but Nielsen and Felton were poor. The storyline was obvious but the action scenes were ok. It wasn't bad, but anyone who commissions a sequel would be unjustified in doing so. I maybe would watch it again, but not for a very long time.
Feb 25, 2026
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die6
Feb 25, 2026
In the main I enjoyed this film, however it seemed like a a mashup of Black Mirror episodes. There were a number of idea that were ok, but they weren't knitted together very well. Whether it was the screenplay, the editing or the direction, or a combination of them all, the flow just wasn't right. Overall there were some funny bits, and I'd probably watch it again.
Feb 25, 2026
Arabesque4
Feb 25, 2026
A slightly below average film due to the terrible dialogue and the over-acting throughout. The style and setting were good, and Loren’s wardrobe was great! The direction however was poor, and the storyline was lame and very dated. I wouldn't bother watching it again.
Feb 24, 2026
Eagle Eye6
Feb 24, 2026
A slightly above average film, with some solid direction throughout and plenty of action scenes. The story is now very dated, and there are some stupid parts (e.g. involving the electricity pylon). Overall however its still better than plenty of the atrocious films that are coming out today! LeBeouf is decent enough to carry the film. I probably wouldn’t watch it again for a very long time through!
Feb 22, 2026
Primate4
Feb 22, 2026
A film with no story! Whilst the majority of the acting is passable, some of its is poor. The direction is ok I guess, but the film is mostly pointless; it’s not terrible, but it’s in no way good either. It’s just a rabid pet chimp that attacks some annoying young adults. I wouldn't bother watching it again!
Feb 21, 2026
Cellar Door1
Feb 21, 2026
An absolutely atrocious film! How did they convince Fishburn to be in this? The story, screenplay, editing, direction and incidental music are all appalling. It's like some crappy daytime soap that no-one cares about! The characters are like cardboard, there’s no tension or suspense, the acting is poor to terrible at best. It’s so boring! Ugh! I’ll definitely never watch it again!
Feb 19, 2026
Mercy2
Feb 19, 2026
Whoever wrote this ought to be ashamed of themselves! It’s appalling, especially the dialogue! It’s like it was written for some trashy magazine! Ferguson is awful throughout, as is the direction! Pratt does his best with the terrible script, and mostly carries the film, else I’d have given it a 1/10! Woeful! I’ll definitely never watch it again!
Feb 14, 2026
Relay6
Feb 14, 2026
A slightly above average film due to Ahmed’s acting and the novel use of the Relay system to create a clever subterfuge. The twist in the plot is way too easy to guess early on, and thus the impact of the film is diminished. James’ acting at the finale is quite poor, and most of the other actors are average to poor throughout. I doubt I’d watch it again.
Feb 10, 2026
Quarantine6
Feb 10, 2026
An above average film due to the tension provided by the direction. Most of the acting was decent enough, though the realism was lacking and the ending could have been improved. I’d probably watch it again, although I’d more likely seek out the original: [rec]!
Feb 9, 2026
Monsters: Dark Continent6
Feb 9, 2026
A slightly better than average film with an ok storyline. However it didn't really advance the story of the Monsters, which were almost like an afterthought. Also some of the accents weren’t great! Definitely not as good as its predecessor. I’d probably watch it again though not for a long while.
Feb 8, 2026
Monsters8
Feb 8, 2026
I really liked the realism of this film! It didn’t try too hard or add needless action or violence. I thought McNairy did a really good job, though his co-star less so. The direction and effects were very good. I would definitely watch it again!
Feb 6, 2026
Anaconda4
Feb 6, 2026
A mostly lame film with jokes that die badly. Most of the acting is average to poor. The cameos are terrible. I wouldn't bother watching it again!
Feb 5, 2026
The Great Escape9
Feb 5, 2026
I’ve seen this film many times since I was a kid, and have always enjoyed it. Whilst it’s a tame affair compared with modern films, and there is quite a bit of overacting, it still held me throughout, despite its length. The fact that it’s based on some true events, gives it an edge over similar aged films. For the sake of nostalgia, I give it an extra mark. Great for a lazy Sunday watch! I will definitely watch it again I’m sure!
Feb 4, 2026
Vivarium6
Feb 4, 2026
What a bizarre film! I kind of liked it, in the vein as ‘under the skin’, but without the real menace. The acting was decent enough, but the direction was a bit all over the place. I’d watch it again, but wouldn't be in a hurry to.
Feb 3, 2026
Bird Box Barcelona7
Feb 3, 2026
I quite liked this film, it was certainly better than its predecessor. I particularly liked the main character’s story. The setting was great and realistic, and the direction was decent enough. There could have been more suspense and more terror induced by the priestly character. I the end I liked it enough to watch it again!
Feb 1, 2026
The Magnificent Seven8
Feb 1, 2026
The message is good, the story is ok, but there’s a lots of overacting, and the action and effects are of an age I guess! Great for a Sunday afternoon and I give it an extra point for nostalgic value! I’d watch it again!
Jan 31, 2026
Mama5
Jan 31, 2026
A bog standard average film that even Chastain can’t redeem! Whilst the acting is ok, the baddie is pretty woeful and the suspense is practically nil. The jump scares fail miserably and the story is formulaic. I wouldn't bother watching it again!
Jan 29, 2026
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple9
Jan 29, 2026
What a good film! Whilst I didn't like the charity gore, I loved the storyline and the acting throughout. The ‘old Nic’ Iron Maiden scene was excellent, so effective! I loved Samson’s storyline in particular. ‘Moon!’ shocked me - brilliant! Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable film, up there with the best of the franchise! I will definitely watch it again!
Jan 28, 2026
Greenland 2: Migration3
Jan 28, 2026
Wow, even worse than its predecessor! The main protagonist and his family aren't too bad, as is the French father with the sickly wife. The french daughter however is appalling…it was like she was totally unaware of what was happening in the film and was just pleased to be on set! The editing was very poor throughout, and the direction wasn’t much better. Why didn't they care about the people they lived with for 5 years in a banker? There was no mention of the kids diabetes apart from near the start of the film? Overall it was saved by some good sets, though not enough to ever want to watch it again!
Jan 28, 2026
Greenland4
Jan 28, 2026
A below average film with an unbelievable storyline and very poor ending. The direction is average and the acting, whilst not terrible, isn't great either. There’s a lack of suspense, and I just didn't care about the characters. I wouldn't bother watching it again!
