A slightly above average film. The leads provide some decent acting, though some of the others less so. The story overall is quite good, although there are too many loose ends at the finale. Not a patch on 'Dark', the German series! The direction and setting are good. I'd probably watch it again, although I wouldn't be in hurry to.

A decent film overall with the best performance by Crowe that I've seen in many a year! Malek was also good, although Göring's wife was definitely not as good looking as the woman in the film! The direction, costumes and set design were great. The ending was a bit messy, and it glorified Göring to some extent, which is plainly wrong. Overall though, I enjoyed it and would watch it again.

An interesting film that's spoilt by the dreadfully slow pacing and the weak storyline. That said, the Scottish scenery is great, and some of the acting is also good, but the direction appeared to be focussed on arthouse, rather than substance. It was ok, but I doubt I'd watch it again.

An excellent film that I've now seen multiple times, and it never loses it's edge. Villeneuve does and excellent job, as do the majority of the actors. Not the nicest of subject matters, but it flies realistic. I'd definitely watch it again!

One of the better X-men films, with some actual emotional content, and some decent acting throughout. Jackman and Stewart were good, as usual, as was the direction. The story was enjoyable enough to keep me watching to the end. I'd definitely watch it again!

Some good acting throughout, and an ok story! Not great, but definitely a good film, although I particularly like the genre. Most of these storylines have been done now, especially in TWD. The reapers were cut and pasted from Days Gone, and the others were the cast from Braveheart! That said, I'd definitely watch it again!

Despite the whole film being just one scene (just about), the tension is palpable. Franco does an excellent job, as does the director Boyle! It's an awful predicament, and many animals would've escaped sooner, but he gets there in the end! I'd definitely watch it again!

IMHO Ben Kingsley makes this one of, if not the best, gangster film! His character portrayal is superb and just so gross yet so entertaining. Winstone is excellent too, as is the rest of the strong cast. Great story, great direction. What's not to love? I'd definitely watch it again!

I was surprised how much I loved this film - it was great! Hugely entertaining - I caught myself grinning with delight! An instant classic that I wish I could've watched again straight away! The only downside was McGregor's accent - why does he bother, he can't do accents, and it's not like there have never been Scottish people in America! Hathaway was awesome - as usual! I'll definitely watch it again, probably every Christmas!

Definitely better than average film with some ridiculous action scenes, reminiscent of Hot Fuzz! Decent acting throughout, and entertaining direction provided by Ben Wheatley! It could've been funnier, and I think Nic Cage would've been a better lead. All the same, I enjoyed it and would probably watch it again, though not for a long while.

Too predictable and mostly nonsense! Poorly written and scripted, perhaps it's better for a South Asian audience? Like a poor man's John Wick - which is even referenced in the film - an homage? There are some good fight scenes, but I wouldn't bother watching it again!

A slightly above average film with a silly premise. If it weren't for Greta Lee, who single-handedly held this film together, thus would be a fairly poor film. Some of the special effects are good, but overall it's a kids film imo. I wouldn't watch it again for a long time.

A good but not great film. It felt like a collection of stories without much excitement until the end. Also I didn't care who got killed as I didn't know who they were, as the director chose not to help me buy into their characters. It should perhaps have been three film, so that the mini stories could've been explored more, in particular the sirens, the bug guys with suits of armour and the whirlpool bit. The ending was decent! Hathaway was great, and I liked Holland, Bernthal, Patel and Leguizamo. But everyone else was competent enough, but we should've been made to love or hate them more imho! I'd definitely watch it again though!

A very average film throughout. Not terrible, but not good either. There aren't many people in the film, and most of them can't act! That said that that can act kept me watching this Malthusian drama. The scream-queen lead did a decent job throughout, although her character was mostly useless! The scene setting, the flying dogfights, the ships sinking, the hopelessness of it all are all great though! Not sure why Styles got a speaking part! Well worth a viewing. I'd watch it again!

A highly sanitised film that should have been called Colonel Parker, as the focus was more on him than Elvis. The acting was ok from Hanks, but the editing, direction and casting of Priscilla were all fairly poor. I learned nothing new from the film, and felt it would have been better as a montage of actual footage. Very Netflix in its presentation which is not good. I wouldn't watch it again.

Terrible score, terrible script, terrible dialogue, terrible make-up! That said, the CGI of the ships and planets was decent, although the CGI (AI?) dog was bad! The direction was ok, the editing was average, the acting was lame. Who was this film aimed at? I definitely wouldn't watch it again!

An ok film which started well, but rapidly went down hill! Very predictable with the same old voice effects from years ago which marked it down a lot. It was sad for the first quarter due to it being about a child abduction, which then made me care about the characters! However it quickly became silly and old school. I wouldn't watch it again!

A fairly decent film to start with, but with an unrealistic last chapter and an appalling ending! The usual Spielberg fare, but clearly he's now too old to understand just how cynical the world and consumption of the news has become! The scene with the train was excellent, and Blunt was her usual brilliant self throughout, holding the film together. The CGI animals were poor however, especially the fox. I liked the alien at the end, but obviously none of the writers could think of anything profound to say! I'd watch it again though!

Well, I wouldn't watch it again, but it's not terrible! The acting and direction are passable throughout, but the CGI is quite poor! The main issue is that it's just not silly enough, and it takes itself slightly too seriously! It should have gone down the line of Big Ass Spider and it would have been much more fun!

A fatly decent film, with some good direction and lovely settings. Hanks provides his usual high performance as an actor, carrying the film throughout. The storyline is engaging and kept me watching to the end. Some of it is quite dated now, since the Higgs-Boson has been found at Cern. Additionally, it was pretty bizarre how much different parties knew about the architects of buildings in Rome - not sure how realistic that was! All in all though, I enjoyed it and would watch it again!

Surprisingly better than I expected, particularly as it was billed as a sequel. Thankfully it's not based on the fictional island of Navarone at all, but loosely attached to the original film. The acting is decent enough, in particular Shaw and Ford, who effectively carried the film. The setting in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is lovely to see. Quite a basic plot, but well directed and it carried me through to the end. I'd probably watch it again!

Some parts of this film were excellent, others quite boring and vapid. The scene with Harrelson and Burić arguing about communism and capitalism was great, in fact both those actors held up the middle part of the film. It's a shame they weren't it for longer. I loved Berben and her one line 'in den wolken' - brilliant! I thought that **** and Dean were average at best - a bit like their characters in that regard - and their part in the story was fairly weak. The ending was ok, but has been done before and since. Overall though it kept me entertained enough to watch to the end, and I'd watch it again.

A below average film where the two main protagonists are annoying and poorly acted. The story is ok, but to class this as a horror film is a bit rich ... more like a slightly menacing fantasy film! The film started off ok but quickly went down hill. The Red Caps were lame and I was bored by the time they properly entered the film's storyline. I wouldn't bother watching it again.

An excellent but very dark film! The direction and Caine’s acting are great, but the subject matter is grim. I really liked seeing what Newcastle and English life was like back in 1971, and how wealth and living standards have clearly changed over the years. Caine’s character was merciless and brilliantly written and enacted. A surprising amount of sex compared with today’s action films. I’d’ve given it 5 stars but for the reminder of the despicable existence of the reason for Carter’s revenge. I’ve seen it before and would definitely watch it again. A classic!
