A likeable cast and interesting premise aren't enough to overcome a rough final act that makes you feel like the 100-minute movie runs a good 10-15 minutes too long.

Leto is great as Skeletor, and that is about it. Don't get me wrong, the film has moments, but they are too few and far between. I like the message that masculinity can be a good thing, but it is buried under a bunch of cluttered nonsense. This movie should have featured fewer characters and had a shorter runtime. The special effects also leave a heck of a lot more to be desired because it looks downright bad at times after the opening sequence.

Gosling is great, but the story fails to capture my interest. They could have easily cut a good 10-15 minutes out of it, and the movie would have been much better off for it.

A generic media mogul tries to use tech against Bond, and it turns out as you would expect it to. Slow and boring, it recycles too much without attempting to be original.

The Return did it better. It was hard to buy into the cast because they were essentially famous actors, not truly trying to act. Everyone gives a typical and generic performance that does everything to knock you out of the immersion. It just wasn't satisfying and the visuals can only make up for so much of the emotional disconnect.

Dacre Montgomery is the sole reason I give this anything above a zero. Toned down, slow, and unrealistic. This attempt to reboot a long-dead series fails to spark anything other than boredom.

Millie was great, there is just enough Lobo where it feels like a treat whenever he is on, and the short runtime works for the better. The story is pretty typical, but I can't say that I was ever bored watching it. It is a safe, but fun movie.

Rightfully deserves the hate. Wooden acting with Pratt seemingly incapable of being a serious leading man. The movie also awkwardly tries to be comedic when it should have had a more serious tone. It **** seeing Rebecca Ferguson's talent wasted on being a personification of this emotionless AI.

A good cast doesn't make up for the forgettable story that very truly takes off in the way that it should.

Disjointed as heck. You can tell there was a lot of post-production work with obvious cuts and reshoots. The main story is minimal and pathetic. The entire movie revolves around what they can parody vs what they could work a script around. It simply isn't funny.

It lacks an identity because it tries so hard to copy what everyone else is doing. The dialogue is terrible, and the performances are equally bad because of it. No surprise to see it flop as hard as it did.

I put it on par with Solo, Last Jedi, and Rise of Skywalker. As much as I love The Mandalorian, I hated this movie. It is essentially season 4 of the show with a slightly bigger budget. The plot is mediocre at best, and completely falls apart during the final act, which is when I ended up walking out before the movie ended. Skip this trash. If you have to suffer through it, wait until it is on Disney Plus.

It is cruelty for the sake of cruelty. There is no substance behind this. There is no reason to watch this.

Cringe dialogue aside, MK 2 fixes a lot of the issues I had with the original. Better action scenes, better pacing, and more violence. It's a good popcorn flick to shut your brain off and enjoy.

As a reimagining of the Last Shift, I think you could make an argument that the original was better. Malum is much slower-paced, leaning heavily into the higher-budgeted practical effects to carry things through. While the scenes highlighting the effects are a gem, they aren't enough to carry a story that doesn't dive into the mystery as well as it could have. Generic? Absolutely. Worth a watch? Eh, I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't say yes either.

It is military glorification coupled with being an awful sci-fi film. How the machine works makes zero sense. At times, it can eliminate with absolute precision. A completely padded mess - The main character walks around, encounters the Strangers, runs, and this repeats throughout the film. There is even a section dedicated to the main character fighting a boar in the woods. I mean, come on. This part is completely unnecessary.

As a fan, I enjoyed it. It touched on a lot of things and really drove home how quickly the highs and lows of life follow each other closely. I wished that they had touched upon his mental state a bit more and how the trauma of his childhood affected him so much.

I wanted to like this one so bad, but it **** on so many levels. Weak story, bad pacing, and an awful performance by Patton Oswalt. The only positive thing I'll say is that the creature design is awesome. Everything else about it was awful.
