The most overrated movie I've seen this year. It runs a good 30 minutes too long, suffers from a slow pace, and the story fails to make any of the characters likeable enough for you to care whether they live or not.

A predictable bore of a movie that takes far too long to get going and by the time it does, you have mentally checked out.

Zach does it again. Resident Evil is a movie that fans can appreciate the small details, while the mass audience can go and enjoy it without a bunch of need-to-know information. Austin does a phenomenal job as the lead and truly makes the movie that much better with his performance. I highly recommend experiencing this in theatres.

A rare miss by Lowery, who is one of my favourite filmmakers. The story is about a pop star reconnecting with an old lover, who was also her costume designer, and the pair soon realising they are being haunted by the same ghost. There is a lot of filler here, making the long runtime seem poorly paced and annoyingly long. Too much time is wasted on the visual storytelling, and not enough time is given to the story to make it work. They easily could have cut 15-25 minutes out of this and not miss a beat. The performances are OK, but nothing to write home about. The weak story is the movie's undoing.

Painfully slow with so many unnecessary subplots that ultimately end up going nowhere. It's a stupid movie made even worse by having to suffer through Hathaway's poor excuse for acting.

My issues with it are the same that I had with the first film. Generic, soulless, and boring. It is very much a Kids movie, in which it is so dumbed down that aside from flashing bright colors or popular characters onscreen, it offers nothing to keep your attention.

For a roughly 100-minute movie, it struggles to fill the runtime. The first 10-minutes are mostly silent filler, the ending is mostly silent filler, and the moments in-between don't do a whole lot to maintain interest. The cast tries, I'll give them there, but there is so little depth to the plot that it is hard to stay invested.

TBH, this is the best MCU Spider-Man film to date. The story does a good job of introducing the Punisher onscreen again. It also introduces Jean, who will no doubt be front and centre for the new X-Men film. I also really liked that they beefed up Spider-Man in this film. His metamorphosis over the course of the film finally puts him on-par with the previous versions of the character, and it is something that is long overdue. All in all, it's a good, fun ride that doesn't overstay its welcome and puts its best foot forward for the future of the MCU.

A likeable cast and interesting premise aren't enough to overcome a rough final act that makes you feel like the 100-minute movie runs a good 10-15 minutes too long.

Leto is great as Skeletor, and that is about it. Don't get me wrong, the film has moments, but they are too few and far between. I like the message that masculinity can be a good thing, but it is buried under a bunch of cluttered nonsense. This movie should have featured fewer characters and had a shorter runtime. The special effects also leave a heck of a lot more to be desired because it looks downright bad at times after the opening sequence.

Gosling is great, but the story fails to capture my interest. They could have easily cut a good 10-15 minutes out of it, and the movie would have been much better off for it.

A generic media mogul tries to use tech against Bond, and it turns out as you would expect it to. Slow and boring, it recycles too much without attempting to be original.

The Return did it better. It was hard to buy into the cast because they were essentially famous actors, not truly trying to act. Everyone gives a typical and generic performance that does everything to knock you out of the immersion. It just wasn't satisfying and the visuals can only make up for so much of the emotional disconnect.

Dacre Montgomery is the sole reason I give this anything above a zero. Toned down, slow, and unrealistic. This attempt to reboot a long-dead series fails to spark anything other than boredom.

Minimal to a fault. There is no depth to the story, and what it has to say through visual storytelling doesn't hit hard enough to make it worthwhile. This is a 90-minute bore that should and could have been cut to half of the runtime.

Unlikable characters, awful CGI. I am a huge fan of the franchise, but this is by far the worst and most uninspired yet.

It's Kubrick. It is always well-acted and directed. It's an enjoyable movie, but I don't think it matches the hype behind it. It feels almost too abrupt to me, and could have been a bit longer to flesh things out.

Overrated. It takes a serious subject and fails to do it justice. It is painfully slow, relies too heavily on Fox to carry the drama when he doesn't have that weight behind him, and fails to do much of anything else with the other cast members.

Millie was great, there is just enough Lobo where it feels like a treat whenever he is on, and the short runtime works for the better. The story is pretty typical, but I can't say that I was ever bored watching it. It is a safe, but fun movie.

Rightfully deserves the hate. Wooden acting with Pratt seemingly incapable of being a serious leading man. The movie also awkwardly tries to be comedic when it should have had a more serious tone. It **** seeing Rebecca Ferguson's talent wasted on being a personification of this emotionless AI.

A good cast doesn't make up for the forgettable story that very truly takes off in the way that it should.

An utter waste of time. The plot is uneventful, often times goes nowhere, and the acting is just abysmal.

A needless, cheap remake that fails to justify its existence. When compared to the other films of the franchise, it is certainly one of the more tolerable ones, but that is like comparing one piece of trash to another.

Disjointed as heck. You can tell there was a lot of post-production work with obvious cuts and reshoots. The main story is minimal and pathetic. The entire movie revolves around what they can parody vs what they could work a script around. It simply isn't funny.

It lacks an identity because it tries so hard to copy what everyone else is doing. The dialogue is terrible, and the performances are equally bad because of it. No surprise to see it flop as hard as it did.

It is just as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Awful acting, terrible CGI, and plot armour galore.

I put it on par with Solo, Last Jedi, and Rise of Skywalker. As much as I love The Mandalorian, I hated this movie. It is essentially season 4 of the show with a slightly bigger budget. The plot is mediocre at best, and completely falls apart during the final act, which is when I ended up walking out before the movie ended. Skip this trash. If you have to suffer through it, wait until it is on Disney Plus.

It is cruelty for the sake of cruelty. There is no substance behind this. There is no reason to watch this.

Cringe dialogue aside, MK 2 fixes a lot of the issues I had with the original. Better action scenes, better pacing, and more violence. It's a good popcorn flick to shut your brain off and enjoy.

I can understand the criticism. It is an awkwardly slow movie that offers so little of a story that it feels dragged out and poorly paced.

As a reimagining of the Last Shift, I think you could make an argument that the original was better. Malum is much slower-paced, leaning heavily into the higher-budgeted practical effects to carry things through. While the scenes highlighting the effects are a gem, they aren't enough to carry a story that doesn't dive into the mystery as well as it could have. Generic? Absolutely. Worth a watch? Eh, I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't say yes either.

There's nothing redeemable about this. Painfully slow, ugly-looking, and poorly acted. It also strips away everything that made the game so good and dumbs it down for a casual audience. Literally all they had to do was adapt the plot from the game, and it would have been so much better.

Somehow, it is worse than the first film. Insufferably slow with an awful story and terrible acting (I'm Michael....Michael Afton...). This one almost makes the first film look good.

People praise it because it is Romero, but this is an awful film. Terribly shot, painfully low budget, and awful acting.
