I only played it as a single player and found it very boring and monotonous after a very short time.

Devs delisted and relisted the game with one new unit to charge everyone twice for one game. If you mention this on the forums you are perma banned. Don't support garbage devs.

Game 'released' today. I'm disappointed in the game and feel cheated by my support throughout the game's development. The game's AI, UI, tooltips, and just about everything else is still in an Alpha state. The game has since improved and I've come to realize that this game is for hardcore fans only.

This game is bad, real bad. The good: Massive scale fast paced rts simple to play the bad: Super imbalanced, It's like the devs spent exactly 0 seconds balancing this game... More than half of the units are useless Titans and god weapons are so absurd OP AI is awful pathing is worse than most games made 20 years ago I don't know... it's just a bad game. I'm happy that they delivered on creating something and I would recommend this for LAN games against HUMANS only. I would also set some verbal rules like (don't create any titans, don't create second level artillery) because all of this is SOOOOO game breaking imbalanced. Seriously don't buy this game unless you're playing at LAN party :).

Lets dispell a something; alpha , pre alpha, thats a made up set of garbage terms ; its in a playable state or an unfinished state, beta testing for bugs or for sale in as good a state as the public will pay for. This game will make you pay twice, in cost and in tolorence . I'm not one to dictate balance in games but I will point out ridiculous game mechanics; units that are only able to attack in a paper rock scissors showdown(air vs air, ground vs navel), this crap made no sense from the outset and it makes less sense here where there is orbital strike satellites, this is not strategy as much as spam the unit, can you tell I'm pissed, well gameplay makes a game,; one thing that needs to be mentioned, on a controller or a mouse, the same button that activates/accepts/selects/, should do all those functions, the button that does the opposite and let it do the job.

Take Supreme Commander one. Now make the graphics a hundred times worse, remove most of the interesting units, and add one mildly entertaining gimmick and a whole load of bugs and framerate issues, lots of them. There, now you know what planetary annihilation is like. Oh, and I hope you have 60 gigs of ram as well. Worth picking up for an hour or two of fun if you can get it for a couple bucks. Otherwise, don't bother.

Unique and beautiful game. The game is not very dynamic, but interesting. Also, the game is very stylish. There are a variety of units and a lot of different levels.

OCTOBER 2015 Planetary Annihilation is the best startegic game I ever played!!! It is very similiar to Supreme Commander. There are no bugs and glitches anymore. This game does not deserve such bad ratings...

I kickstarted this game, it looked so promising. I hate to be alfa and beta tester, I dont have time to report bugs and test games, but I tried the beta once just to get a picture of the game, and it was to say mildly horrible. The units moved like static figures, and the planets was dead and boring, and the AI just ran over me like a train. It was no fun at all. I uninstalled it and never played it again. I thought this game would never live up to its expectations. But last week I saw a trailer of the Titans expansion, and found out I got that for free since I had kickstarted the game. And I was blown away by it. Lots of units, more life like planets much more balanced AI, and so much fun! Love the orbital units, and all the destruction. The weapon effects are awesome, but I still miss some of the things I found really cool about Total Annihilation, and that is the physics and terrain effects. The units just walks trough trees, you don't see any effect when the unit walks in water, and no cool physics effects when large battleships fire from the water. But the game has become so much more than I was expecting after trying the beta witch killed my hopes for it. Now I love it. Good job Uber!

Planetary Annihilation: Best RTS ever, but not easy to play as a Hunter to get up in ranking games. Just learn to be fast to make a big army and every time you play you ll love PA more and more. PA must be Olimpic Sport.

The game went from "pre-release" alpha to being "full release" AND a full-price expansion. What a scam. The developers should be ashamed and customers should avoid purchasing. Maybe worth $5, expansion included. The game has hardly changed or improved since early access. Still full of exploits and terrible AI. Still extremely repetitive and lacking the grandoise feeling of planetary combat it was marketed as. The maps are small, the combat is weak, and the game is completely uninteresting after very little time. This is a dishonest and manipulative trick by Uber Entertainment, that saw declining sales, and instead of working to revive a failing project, decided to release the game as is, package their recent additions into an overpriced expansion, and make as much money as they could with what pathetic little content they had. I've reported this product to Steam and recommended they take action against the developers at Uber Entertainment.

Greetings, First and foremost: The game itself is decent. It lacks soul and has no Singleplayer content, but the Skirmish and Multiplayer battles are good. The gameplay has been improved over Planetary annihilation. However, the Developers decision to try and circumvent review system by pulling PA from stores and re-releasing it as a standalone "Expansion" was a hamfisted approach. They actively took a DUMP on ALL buyers of the game that were not kick starters, totally ignoring the fact that The Game went to steam with a 90 dollar price tag, and more when you consider the "DLC" commander skins. They just went a said "You are second class citizens now, please pay us more money and g f+ck yourself!". They threw the PA buyers under the bus, and that gives reason to expect they will be throwing Titans buyers under the bus too. Do not support this company. Do not buy the game. Wait a few month, then snatch it up for cheap from a third party key retailer. Do not support the sort of anti customer behavior that UBER entertainment just displayed.

It is awesome. Simple as that. Building a MASSIVE army that swoops over a planet, then rolls through a stargate-like structure on to the next planet, only to be annihilated in a rain of nukes. Then use the the ultimate overkill to destroy the enemy stronghold; drop a moon on his planet. Awesome. However, then the downside: the camera rolls with every move, navigating between planets is difficult, if not impossible, units are frequently 'lost' (meaning I can't find them), and the speed of construction and destruction is such that the gameplay becomes a chaos of little icons. It's impossible to play the larger maps with this game.

Pure disappointment, wasted potential, and another massive knock against crowd funding. I can only recommend that any truly interested watch many, many ,many hours of CURRENT gameplay video. Then beat there smurfin faces with there keyboard to knock some good god damn sense back into themselves before taking a bite out of this big, steaming, **** sammich.

Not often will I go to metacritic to voice displeasure. However, this game is special in that regard. Not only did they originally charge an absurd amount for alpha access (70£ or so, a scummy move and a I sorely mourn the loss of money for anyone who paid that price), but upon 'releasing' the game, it's still, in the eyes of myself and many other RTS fans, not complete. This game doesn't even have co-op campaign mode. Well, it doesn't even have a campaign mode, simply a galactic war clone that 2005 titles like Star Wars Battlefront II could provide. Pathetic. In terms of innovation, the planetary aspect of this game is cool, it's just not done or fleshed out enough to warrant it's price at the moment. And what's more, there are other games that are similar, are better supported, provide a better singleplayer and multiplayer experience, and are cheaper (e.g. Supreme commander). Mostly unfufilled promises that taint what could have been a standout for its genre. It's also disheartening to hear the devs have already moved on to their next game. I'd suggest you don't support their new endeavor nor this one.

A new take on the RTS genre Planetary Annihilation offers massive scale and variety. The game overhauls the players world by offering multiple planet game play and the variety of units offers a wide array of strategy and game scenarios. The added perk of massive end game weapons like nuclear missiles, planet crashing, and the Annihilaser ensure that any intense conflict has a epic ending.

It's cheap, has pretty fun multiplayer and robot designs and lets you fulfill your dream of being a robot overlord beating the crap out of planets. What more can you ask for? Well probably alot, but because of my personal robot overlord fetish I'm willing to let this one slide. 10/10 A+

Despite the flaws and problems of an early launch, now the game looks way better. Developers managed to optimize code, so game runs smoothly, even with all that rumble on a screen. No more lagging lobbies, and starting menus. Final game looks very fun, with all those strategic layers and weapons of mass destruction. I like the resource flow realization, like the way, game forces you to battle for map control on every level, or else you'll see how your defenses are getting crushed by unending wave of units. Currently this game needs community -- mapmakers, streamers, players, modders and so on.

With all the RTS games I have purchased this ranks #1 in my book age of empires coming in second. Why this game is getting such a bad rep is beyond me most people are rating it bad because there computer cant handle it or they cant micro enough once they have units on multiple planets, which honestly to rate a game like that isn't fair to the game at all its infact slightly ignorant of you. I can tell you right now microing in this game is actually easy once you get the hang of it but hey some people are who cant do 2 things at once. Enough of my ing as to why this game is getting bad ratings lets talk about why the game is good. Now One of the big complaints i have been seeing on review websites such as meta critic and ign is that they are saying the game is unfinished now these reviews i have been reading are several months old and in my opion i think need to be removed. This game has so many units and so many methods of strategy and depth its insane and all i have been seeing is its unfinished and its gliching and there aren't enough units, And i cant understand why, this game has more means of combat then any other strat game i have played and to list some i have played age of empires all three of them Ruse, company of hero's, stronghold the complete collection, supreme commander, battle of empires, civ and several others. To list some means of strat you can do land air sea orbital you can freaking launch bots to another damn planet out of a cannon that is freaking badass, you can nuke them use cannons that have massive range or just straight up shoot there planet with a damn laser. This game is balanced i have also seen people rating it bad because it has one faction and that i don't understand as well most games have 1 or 2 factions and even with that they have issues staying balanced that is why age of empires is such a great game but with all the unit diversity this game has it might as well be all the civs in age. NOT to mention how big your army can get from what i have played thus far there is no limit to size its insane and with no lag as well and you can control of them even in age you cant select all of your military units over 60. SO I BEG YOU STOP RATING THIS GAME BECAUSE YOU ARE BAD AT IT OR CAUSE IT DOESNT RUN RATE THIS GAME FOR WHAT IT IS AND IF YOU WROTE A REVIEW AWHILE BACK PLAY THE GAME AND REWRITE IT. People need to rate this game on what it does good and bad and the bads are a minimal but lets talk about some. SO what does this game do bad not much actually i have encounter one screen glitch but it was most likely my computer instead of the game, sometimes all my units wont move up when the frontlines attack but that is easy to fix. So to end this i would give this game a a 9/10 and honestly from what i have played so far it deserves it. its the most innovative rts i have ever played and highly recommend you pick it up for 30$ and if it goes on sale buy it while you can.

Review for Early 2015: After many updates, and after quite a few balancing patches, this game is very fun and enjoyable. I've sunk many hours into online skirmish mode with friends, and we always have a blast. The AI is competent, but not unbeatable, and being able to share an army with three friends is hilariously entertaining. I would definitely recommend this game to any strategy gaming fans, knowing that the fast paced action and "easy to learn/difficult to master" gameplay is a guaranteed good time. Money well spent.

Did you grow up playing Total Annihilation? Did you rekindle this love with Supreme Commander and its excellent expansion Forged Alliance? Only to be sorely disappointed by the lackluster Supreme Commander 2? Did you follow the Uber kickstarter? Did you watch the cool trailer and have those warm fuzzing TA/SC feelings all over again? Then you can experience the same heartbreak I did with this terrible game! I bought it for $80 and for my money it's not worth the $6 it's on sale for now. Lack of unit diversity, tech, boring terrain, the list goes on... something is wrong over at Uber, this thing was mismanaged into the ground after being funded EXTREMELY well on Kickstarter.

Uber has advertised us with soo many features, the game is full of bugs, game balance is awfull, many units useless.... the earth of the game is not good. Total Annihilation although being old is a better game. Supreme commander is also a far better pick. This game is dead and will never reach the promised goal. Uber is placing a new funding ... for a new game .. lol.. are you kidding ?

Game isn't finished, despite being 'released.' Short list of Pros: Very, very rarely you can crash another planet into a planet. It's awesome. Long list of Cons: Constant glitches make the game unplayable. Game lags because the tech used to run it is garbage. There is ZERO strategy behind this. Zergrush, or die. I'm not joking. Calling this a strategy game is a joke. UI and Camera are weird, and due to glitches, may not always show up and don't work right. Textures don't always work. I've had the entire game become a series of indistinguishable red blobs, rendering an hours worth of gameplay useless. Absolutely NO Unit balance. None. Go Air or Die. If you're looking for an awesome strategy game, this isn't the one for you. Believe me, I supported this game when it was in Kickstarter, and I defended it for a long !@#$ing time. Sadly, Uber has a loooong, long history of releasing games well before they are actually finished and claiming that they'll fix it later via patches. This NEVER happens. (Check out Super Monday Night Combat as a very very handy example.) This is one such example. Nothing they promised during the kickstarter was released until AFTER the game launched, and seemingly only because of the huge and negative backlash from the player base. Worse yet, many of those promises have yet to be fulfilled, but the developers **** and this game may never actually see a build where it actually delivers on everything that they've promised. This game has a LOT of potential, but unless Uber gets a reality check and gets their act together, it'll just be a game you'll regret buying.

This game is a steaming pos. First, they sell it at a ludicrous price screwing over their fans withotut very deep wallet. Second they promise tons of features, but they do not complete most of them leaving their game very shallow. Now they claimed they have finished it and moved on to another game, ignoring what they have promised. Third, their game still has massive technicual issues and poor performance. Fourth, gameplay itself is shallow and the only innovation is the idea of battles being held in a few planets at once. This sounds interesting but is executed very badly, there is no difference between planets so each one is the same flat, boring arena for the spam fest that PA is. It was certainly a promising title that seemingly was too much for the devs to handle. With the devs being that greedy and incompotent I have to give it a 2/10.

If you're looking for a standard SC-type RTS, this will not be your cup of tea. Your resources are not limited. There are not multiple factions. There are no upgrades for your units. There are no Tech 3 game ending experimental units. This game is highly innovative. It is not standard. It has rough edges. Planetary Annihilation dares to try new mechanics and capabilities in a fairly rigid market. Rewind the game mid-game to see what happened to your proxy base. Picture-in-picture display to monitor activity in another theater of war. Spherical battlefields increase the importance of strategic intel gathering and unit maneuvering. Limitless numbers of units balanced by your strategically established and guarded streaming economy structures. I.e. it's one player's wits against another's. A truly even playing field. There is no more exciting moment in an RTS I've played as the moment of a planetary invasion. Dozens or hundreds of fragile space units, attempting to build the other end of a teleportation network, to stream out your hundreds of queued tanks and bots and building units. Defending your beachhead. Will my enemy nuke me? Or smash me with a small moon? Or incinerate my planet with a Death-Star-like laser weapon? Or snipe my commander while I'm unawares? Throw in the wonderful and varied mods the community has crafted, along with continued support by the developers to improve upon this work, and I'm certain this is a game I will be playing for at least the next several years.

The game is now down to 5 bucks but still not worth buying. Completely unfinished, many promises were made when it was still at a whopping 90 euros (!) in alpha stage. Without doubt this title was just aimed to make profit with early access rip off. The publishers even tried to create another kickstarter project while this one still had lots of work, plenty of bugs and lack of basic RTS elements and simple game features like saving. People who wrote bad critics in Steam forums simply got banned. The concept and idea of planetary warfare was pretty nice, but the final result is just a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if the company dissolves and they come up with another name because their reputation is completely down the drain now.

The best strategy i have ever played. Difference of planets and units. Building your own system. This are the best pluses of Planetary Annihilation. 40 PEOPLE BATTLES. Nobody can do that except Uber Entertaiment.Stability of updates (1-2 every month). I think there are no minuses of this of this game.

This is the game that made me stop and say "never again" to buying early access. I can't believe I spent $70 on this game only for it to be discounted on steam (still in early access) a mere week later. A huge slap in the face by Uber. The game is terribly bland, unfocused, and boring. It is full of bugs, has little to no documentation and a joke of a tutorial. Uber did very well to hype this game up so much and laughed all the way to the bank releasing a very bad game in the process. The game is worth $10 at absolute best.

The failure of PA stems back with it's introduction on Steam as an early access alpha. The game was priced to coincide with the kickstarter values and this produced an uproar of discontent among the gaming community. Many that were outspoken were silenced by various means such as forum threads being locked and Bans issued. As a result this left a bad taste in a portion of the potential market share. Many supporters paid the high price of alpha testing and the Uber team forged ahead. The financing model viewed by many as inversely proportional was beginning to show its effect. The premise for kickstarter and for early access, is to fund the creation **** for final release to be sold to the public. The problem with this model is, anyone that is interested in the game will buy it in the alpha state with hopes that the game will eventually be completed as advertised. This means when the game is finally released there are very few sales since anyone that was interested in the genre have already purchased it. And since the opening price was so high they reduced the amount of potential sales later on even at a reduced price. People that are silenced tend to move on to other titles. As new funding slowed, and ongoing development costs continued, this meant that sustainability was rapidly coming to an end. So a final version was needed quickly. And the final result is a game that does not fulfill the initial hype or promised features as advertised. This game had so much potential, so much promise. But poor decisions made from the onset ultimately has left a sour taste with many early backers and ultimately has tarnished the corporate image of this development team. So much so that a new kickstarter from the same team failed to meet minimums and was ultimately shut down. This game is incomplete and fails to deliver. The company made its money and has lost the confidence of it's early backers to produce new titles. In my opinion, Uber has eloquently demonstrated to all would be game developers what "not" to do. Yes you will make an influx of money early on. but it will result in the unsalvageable demise of a once respected development firm. One that in it's own words published the following statement:(in part) "So what happens now? After we've spent some “recovery time,” which consists of a dark room and probably some sobbing, N*** and I will regroup and figure out what to do next. Who knows what the future holds" I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone.

Total Annihilation is my favorite RTS of all time. I spent countless amount of time playing this game, so you can guess how thrilled I was about Planetary Annihilation. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. While the concept of playing on planets (being small spheres) sounds cool, it just didn't work for me.

Some things that make this game completely uninteresting to me: - I don't like playing on a sphere. They should have axed that idea at the beginning. TA and SC have "flat" maps and it works well!! Tried too hard to be different. - Units are too cartoonish. Seems more like a tablet game with respect to unit graphics detail. - Unit tiers are bare bones. - Bugs and overall lack of a finished game feel. - DRM. With the all-star team, I expected a much better game. I would have been thrilled with just an update to Total Annihilation, with new units, maps, and use of modern graphics card features. Anyway, I don't see myself ever playing this game. At least I have a cool t-shirt coming this "winter" for my $120!!

Really like many things about this game. It IS the true successor of many RTS games. However, it has one fundamental problems and this manifests in pretty much a one strategy solution in most starter situations which detracts from the whole experience. Xerg Xerg Xerg. If your on a planet with one or two others at the start. Build bot factores and xerg. If the opposition do not, the fastest xerg wins. This is disappointing for me as I hoped for a broader tool kit. The problem is that defence is pretty mute at the moment until later in the tech development so early on. You can simply xerg to win which often makes you think your literally playing the same game you already played before, but with some new sprites. The multi planet element is great, the range of weapons is nice yet, all of this is not balanced well. Offensive and defensive has not been balanced at all for the early game and the whole Xerg thing should have been avoided to make it a lot more fun to play, particularly in multiplayer as I don't like following the same formula for a win. I would prefer a bit more variety. There are exceptions depending on the setup but the basic issues with defence being nominal is a problem even now (October 2014)

Does not hold a candle to Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander series. Waste of my money. Broken mechanics and U/I. Just try to build a wall that makes any sense. Somehow manages to have over simplified tech, and way too much unit variety with very little visual difference. Almost the same size little mech as any other mech will walk up later in the game and just lob rockets that single shot kill every defensive battery you have from outside it's range. The enemy AI can micro manage a thousand units spread across multiple planets all at once while you struggle in each little area. If the enemy AI moves to a new planet before you, you are done. It becomes unwinnable especially if you dont have satellite weapons tech. The game is unplayable and entirely unenjoyable. I wanted so badly for it to be good, but it just wasn't. Good concept though.

A great following to Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. Not perfect but very entertaining, fun, and challenging. It has many possibilties for victory. It has great AI and is full of fresh ideas for a RTS. I like this game!

I paid way too much for this game, but I did have some fun. The overall experience is flawed with crappy UI and AI, but the multiplayer is expansive and worth trying. I loved the original Total Annihilation game and this wasn't like that, it was something different entirely. I just wanted to smash stuff together, and in this game I get to do that albeit very slowly.

In its current state : This game is very bare-bones with tons of potential. If that potential is being realized it may well be one of the biggest RTS games for years to come. If not - it will just sink into oblivion. in a more detailed review visuals: the style is clean, the units are recognizable. the design is somewhat boring though. detail and animation seems to be FAR below Supreme Commander standards - and much closer to the old Total Annihilation - which is kind of a shame considering TA is pretty old. UI: I do disagree with the UI style because it reminds me too much on a cheap mobile phone UI. There is no finesse about it. It is in one word "boring". it is however functional enough and does not hinder gameplay. Sound: Kind of dreadful. The sound effects have no "weight". If the game is meant to be similar ( in size ) to Supreme Commander - those units, even the smallest ones, are meant to be HUGE ( from a humans point of view ). Yet the sound of firing and impacts does not really convince. gameplay: currently it is simplistic - It might change tremendously with different factions and more terrain variety though. So i can conclude that this game "can" be great - if more efford is put into it - but in its current state it is well below average and quite a disappointment.

Essentially, it is a Total Annihilation / Supreme Commander clone, but more expensive, higher system requirements, and a few gimmicky things involving interplanetary movement. Worth trying for a hardcore RTS fan, just for the novelty of strapping engines to an asteroid and ramming your foe's planet with it. Don't expect it to hold your attention for long, though. You're probably better off buying TA or SupCom I / Forged Alliance instead. Just don't get SupCom II - that game isn't even deserving of the middling score this gets.

This game is a mess. Basic storyline (only sparse text at some corner of the screen, no picture, audio or video), only 4 perks at the same time (that could be maxed out without even fight a single battle), basic tech tree (again, could be maxed out easily), most units and building are useless (specially walls), warning messages are hit-or-miss (no logs), this game is fast (a round could lasts minutes) so we should forget about strategy and more to build fast and powerful units. Also, the game is highly unbalanced.

Distinctly average, unfortunately. I feel disappointed that I ended up buying this game on the pretence it would be somewhere near as good as Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander. When there is an existing formula that works for an incredible RTS. Add to it, don't re-design it! The main points that bother me are the lack of interesting units, it really is a rock paper scissor scenario which in theory seems good for competitive play but ends up falling short in terms of keeping combat unique and varied. Tech 3 wars on TA were incredible fun to watch, let alone be part of. To be fair the game looks lovely and even though it seems to be more intense on the GPU than it should be it's by no means ugly. The planet crashing is a fun idea but it really doesn't lend a huge amount to gameplay. It's a very playable game but it wasn't the game I was hoping for. No chance I'll be helping to crowd fund their next venture. They were already charging silly amounts for an early access to this game... I think I'll go back to Spring RTS

With offline mode now this game is very good! Nice job! Coudnt you do this at launch Uber? Planetary Annihilation is simply an awesome, "epic scale" Real Time Strategy Game. Notice I said "epic scale," not "large scale." After all, multi planet gameplay, planet smashing, thousands of units, and 40 player matches can be described as nothing less than "epic scale."

Read all the negative reviews to get a good idea of what this game is about. Full of promise but none of that promise was delivered upon. There's much talk about the 'revolutionary' features of the game, but noone really wants to actually talk about what they are and whether they work. It seems to me that, for a game to have moons crashing into planets and a 'true' 3D playing field Uber felt they had to jettison everything else that could have made this game good or have any strategy whatsoever. The units are boring and you'll find yourself only using one unit in each tech level because the others are a waste. Huge disappointment and waste of money.

Planetary Annihilation is by far the best RTS experience I have had since Dune II. It has its roots in the Total Annihilation franchise, plus a good mash of Supreme Commander, but don't that lead you to think it is the same game. PA is a complexly different animal. The game play mechanics are unique, and enjoyable. This is a complex game to get your head around, but if you enjoy a good challenge look no further! PROS: - OFFLINE play is now available with LAN support and soon to get official personal server support. - Single player. - Online Multi-player: 1v1, 2v2, 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1, 5v5, etc... Any combination you can think of using. Max of 10 players. - Separate or shared armies in multi-player. - Hardcore career mode. - Lots of MOD's available and being developed by the PA community. - Continued and ongoing development, bug fixes, and new features being added. (Think Minecraft). - Lots of videos by the PA community. - AI can be tweaked to match your ability in single and multi-player. - Land, Air, Naval, Orbital units. - Simultaneous Interplanetary combat. - Picture in picture (PIP) for viewing and commanding 2 different locations at the same time. CONS: - Lack of a proper Tutorial. (Don't let that stop you, it should be added in the future.) - You will get Crushed by the AI at full strength until you learn. - Naval game not fully realized but not a deal breaker. TL;DR 8.5 out of 10 Play this game without any pretenses and you will love it.

I am on a late 2011 Macbook Pro, I am playing a lot of strategy games, without a single problem. This one doesn't work! Graphics in low or high change nothing, a friend of mine tell me that the reason of the very huge lag of the play is because the studio (Uber), has chosen to "stream" this game from their servers, which are weak and dumb. Too bad.

Absolute disaster. This "release" is an utter disaster and the Linux issues are disgusting and unacceptable. And we can't play single player offline? What a joke. SMNC gone to the **** and now this, I'll never buy anything from Uber again and I suggest everyone to do the same.

ok so as you can tell by reviews it is a multi-planet supreme commander style game, and this review is more going to be pointing out some flaws with other reviews, but first the actual review, since I cannot be bothered explaining it imagine supreme commander, except with multiple planets. Now there is only one faction which results in a lack of variation, and unlike the original supreme commander it only has two tiers which can be limiting... until you consider that they have made up for it with orbital, which is something that I have actually never seen in an rts with the exception of maybe a satellite in one. However the games most notable feature is planetary destruction, consider them the experimentals of this game, you have two choices a: strap rockets onto a small celestial object and throw it into a planet, or b: attach catalysts onto a metal planet and use it as a death star to wipe out other **** can even use the planets crevices, trees and lakes to your advantage. Anyway onto rebuttal for some of the reviews that confuse me. 2-5 fps on a high end machine: really? I mean the only time I have crashed or even been put below 15 was when about 5000 planes flew over my base full of flak and it could no longer handle the particles no offline mode: really, its an online game, I rarely play the singleplayer no save: meh, finish it within 1 1/2 hours can't see entire map.... stupidest one by far..... its supposed to be a planet its supposed to be a globe, we don't live in the 2nd century, the planet is not flat... also there is a picture in picture mode which you could use to see the other half walls don't block flamers.... Umm yes they do, they just don't block the animation walls don't block artillery.... seriously that is the dumbest thing I have read so far finally for these: slow development and in six months they do next to nothing..... yes that is why we now have teleporters, new units, combat builders, a giant planet laser, the ability to intercept interstellar travelling units and a new unit factory oh wait no one more just read another one giving it a zero because of two things, one a crash with no save (OMG THE WORLDS ENDING FOR ME) and the purchasable vanity commanders..... ummm if you think these are bad then do not look at planetside 2 anyway to sum up, it has great game-play, great strategy, a unique idea, great effects and really the majority of reviews against just have stupid reasonings such as no offline game-play when it was always supposed to be an online game, also they did kind of just add offline anyway

Had my eye on this game for a while now and decided to buy it in a sale. Don't regret it one bit. Never seen a game so easy to get the hang of and the battle are massive. The only cons are some bugs i am coming across but i am sure that these will be ironed out as time goes on. Really quirky game and it is pretty darn cool.

RTS fans know that the genre has two main flavors. There is the flavor popularized by games such as Warcraft and Starcraft and then there is the flavor popularized by games such as Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. Planetary Annihilation is the latest game in the flavor of Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. This flavor is the more hardcore RTS flavor. The learning curve is higher for these types of RTS games and when it comes to Planetary Annihilation, the learning curve is even higher. The scale of battles is epic! There are several types of units: ground, water, air, and now space units. The fact that battles can span a solar system makes the game truly 3D. You have to worry about fights on the ground, in the sky, as well as fights in orbit! People that give this game low reviews need to realize that it was developed by an indie game studio on a shoestring budget. You won't get cinematic cut scenes and that kind of crap in this game. You will, however, get an innovative variation on a hardcore flavor of RTS games. If you love RTS games, and especially if you love the TA and SupCom flavor, you should support this game since it does a great job of innovating in PC gaming's last great genre: the RTS.

The most definite example of the downfall of crowd-funding. It is full of great ideas but executed -very- poorly. It lags like hell and crashes to the desktop like every minute. It has serious connection problems but has no off-line mode. And that without save functionality. Gamewise, strategic depth is too shallow. The variety of fations or units are extremely limited. AI is stupid. Pathfinding is way too primitive. All in all. It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far from finished. And they are already preparing another game on the kickstarter. What? It is quite unethical of them. Don't buy this s*t. It's not worth your money.
