The stupid subplot of Judy Warren ruins the movie. This could've been a very good 90 minute movie instead of a needlessly bloated movie of 2 hours. By the time the Warrens actually got to the house, I lost any interest. I'm sure there are good documentaries on the Smurl haunting on YouTube that are far better than this movie.

Nicely shot but pointless. There're some interesting scenes but no narrative to hold them together. The story (if there's one) plods aimlessly and interest rises and falls too much. I forced myself to watch the whole thing even though there were times I wanted to pull my hair out. Worst of all, this movie is over 2 1/2 hours long for no good reason. And, I'm getting sick of Tarantino's wordy dialogue. Everybody in his movies sound the same.

The worst storytelling I've ever seen in a movie! In fact, this wasn't a movie; it was a 2 1/2 hour trailer. The story is incoherent, and JJ Abrams uses almost every movie cliche there is. I've seen salads made with less choppiness than this movie. Even the title 'The Rise of Skywalker' is misleading, as misleading as 'Attack of the Clones' but worse.

A real dull first half, barely redeemed by second half. The first half was more of a heavy-handed drama than what a superhero movie should be. It were as if I was watching a soap opera. The movie begins to pick up steam as the aliens gradually get involved. There is a huge payoff at the end, and I thought Sophie Turner did a great job as Jean Grey. I suggest people go into this with low expectations in order to get some enjoyment.

Twisted storytelling ruins movie. I'm all for nonlinear approaches to origin stories, but clearly this approach didn't work. I just can't believe the producers and the director looked at the script and decided that it was ready to make. As for Brie Larson, when you see her in a scene with Annette Bening, it's hard to believe Larson's the one who got the Oscar! And the overuse of 90s music was nauseating.

A great cast and a great ending overcome a silly script. Yes, there are problems with logic such as Greta (Huppert) popping up in places she can't possibly be, and Frances (Moretz) making dumb choices that bring her back to Greta. But the movie is greater than the sum of its parts, and 'Greta' has some good moments that makes it worth watching.

Great 1st and 3rd acts with a mushy 2nd. The setup or first half hour is awesome! I was totally captivated by it. The last half hour is equally awesome. The showdown between hero and villains is way better than most actual superhero movies. I love how their strengths and weaknesses are used. It's the 2nd act that loses me. It gets bogged down with psychology and I thought I wasn't going to like this movie. But M. Night pulls **** ending. Definitely worth it!

It's just too silly for my tastes. This is a TV movie that doesn't belong on the big screen. Even with a twist, 'HDD' doesn't do anything that hasn't been done before (I think it borrows a lot from 'Before I Fall'), and at times, a pain to watch. Surprisingly, I guessed who the killer is from the get go (pay attention to people's height). Lastly, I wish this type of movie would address the 'why'- like why a person can repeat the day over and over again; or what power is behind this?

Enjoyable and tedious at times. There was so much action in this movie, I was actually getting bored. I like car chases, fist fights, and explosions as much as the next person, but the action was taking up too much time. And the dialogue was just as over the top as well. Barely a full sentence was spoken without a curse word. I like the cast, Reynolds and Jackson have good chemistry with each other and everybody else. And there are some good scenes which save this movie from a negative review. Take it for what it is: an action-comedy with a bizarre plot riddled with explosions and cliches.

A bait and switch, the story is still solid. There's the main plot of Bruce Lee vs Wong Jack Man, but there's also the sub-plot with Lee's white student falling for a Chinese girl and wanting to rescue her from thugs. The sub-plot actually becomes the main plot which has understandably angered viewers, and why I call it "bait and switch". The movie is nothing special but it has some good fight scenes, and the story grows on you. I thought I was going to hate it, but didn't. It's OK but it's not worth a $15 ticket.

A visually stunning movie with an uneven script. The first half has a lot of problems with action and dialogue happening so fast, you can't catch it all. The interest level rises and falls several times. By the middle, I wasn't sure if I was going to give this a positive review. Then the movie finds its groove in the 2nd half and everything is right in the universe! My big beef with the movie, however, is that it uses 'Deus ex machina' twice and cheapens the story. A solid thriller with a good ending, I enjoyed most of 'Split'. As always, James McAvoy gives an excellent performance in a movie with a lot of suspense. It may seem a bit long at almost 2 hours, but the pacing and the rhythm are well done; I don't think the movie ever drags. My big issue with 'Split' is that it tests your suspension of disbelief way too much. People respond to situations in a way real people wouldn't respond or that defy common sense. The acting is solid, especially the little girl. She's sweet and creepy, all at the same time. The first hour presents a nice build-up, but then something happens to start the last 30 minutes and it throws the movie off track. This movie is messy, choppy and illogical, but it's still good! The cast is likable and I really enjoyed Robbie as Harley Quinn; and I may be in the minority here, but I really, really liked Delevingne as Enchantress!!! What I didn't like was the music in the first hour was so over-powering. It became too much of a distraction even eclipsing some of the dialogue. And like I said, the choppiness of the movie becomes equally annoying. It goes back and forth from present to flashbacks as well as flashing descriptions of characters that go by so quickly, you don't have a chance to read them all. It's because of these faults I can't give the movie a 7. Still with all its faults, there's enough action to satisfy, and Leto as the Joker is very entertaining. He may not have a lot of screen time but he has enough screen time to make the character work. Leto and Robbie have great chemistry together.
