The sharpest, wildest and most unpredictable thriller I’ve seen this year.

Nerve wants to be a cautionary tale about the perils of desiring fame through social media, but it isn’t willing to go to the darker depths this material requires. It opts to stay on a more superficial and very goofy level, and while that has its enjoyable charms, it pretty much negates the film’s message.

This was a really good movie. I really enjoyed this movie and it made me sit on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. This movie also never made me want to get my attention away from it. Also the soundtrack for this movie was really good as well!

"Nerve" é um excelente filme, com um tema muito bem trabalhado, através de uma história pulsante e intensa. 10/10

Like most films about technology, Nerve will endure as a time capsule, fascinating future generations with either its prescience or its quaintness.

Nerve looks fabulous and the pace is evenly adrenalized, which makes up for clichéd characters, a concocted premise and commentary that is a bit on the nose.

It’s rare when you can pinpoint the exact moment a movie goes off the rails, but when Nerve downshifts from far-fetched parable into idiotic action, the film at least has the decency to speed itself along to get to the ending.

For all its hints at imminent catastrophe, Nerve feels surprisingly tame.

Fortunately Schulman and Joost keep the film visually engaging.... All that busyness onscreen distracts somewhat from the impression that Roberts and Franco don't look much like teenagers, although they form a fairly good team as long as they’re pursuing specific challenges rather than sharing their nascent emotions for one another or attempting to unravel the intricacies of the game.

An interesting premise that aims to appease both social media addicts and those who despise social media. The script is cliché and the acting is pretty awkward, but you'll be too distracted by the dizzying pace of events to even notice most of the time.

The movie was really well made, but I found some of the things in the storyline too dumb, especially how they made it that people did not care about others when watching Nerve and also the main characters felt a bit weird, I mean in the sense that I didn't understand their desires and needs how the movie wanted to show it.

Nerve. I was genuinely excited to see this film because it has a very interesting concept and it’s rather interesting that it has coincidentally come out around a similar time that Pokemon Go has become popular, though obviously that is a complete coincidence. Nerve is a great film, provided you don’t think about it in any way whatsoever. The second you do, this is so stupid. The whole point of the film is that it never explains half of what is going on, so as a result we have little or no idea. It’s also really unsubtle in its whole commentary on young people’s use of the internet, including YouTube, GEO cashing and trolling and Facebook. The whole concept of being forced to do dares online for money is actually an interesting idea, but they never really expand upon it and there are a couple of moments which are way too far-fetched and as a result sink the movie. I will say the ending, despite being incredibly abrupt and anti-climatic and didn’t answer half the lingering questions I had left over was at least a lot better than the messages from Friend Request and the god awful Unfriended. But it still did not work and this film annoyed the hell out of me because too many people gave this film a pass. No, it’s a bad film, really stupid and I am going to go against the critical consensus on this one, this is probably one where everyone else likes it and I think it is rubbish for 2016.

Emma Roberts and Dave Franco's charisma is the only redeemable aspect of this far fetched, plot hole littered mess. Original for sure? Yes it is but the concept is the only thing that remotely worked for this film from start to finish.
