For those who do not know, this isn't really a Fallout clone, as its developed by the team that made the ORIGINAL Fallout and New Vegas. Plays just like Fallout New Vegas did, with several optimizations. The gameplay is much more fluid that the Fallout series, the graphics is a few steps above from Bethesda. As a matter of fact, everything here is a really just a step above Fallout 4 and 76 (which I've put about 60 hours in, regardless of how much of a mess that game IS) Jumping/crouching and overall movement feels more akin to a faster FPS like Borderlands, but not quite as sharp as say COD or Battlefield. At first, the gameplay will seem boring and not as challenging when set on Normal. So I changed it to hard recently and there is a noticeable difference in terms of how the AI responds and I recommend you do the same to keep things fresh. (that is unless you are a more casual gamer) As for the world and the story. Everything seems much more lively and fun to play. The writing is really good, the voicework and old-school dialog choices is a breath of fresh air, that is sorely missed from Fallout. I know there is just too much to compare with Fallout here, save for the original PC titles. But Obsidian delivers a fun and quirky adventure that doesn't require you to spend hundreds of hours in to love it.

As a fan of the series, I only have this and 3 finished. So I guessed it I could give my own take on this entry. Right away, it is the best of the ones I've played so far. Yakuza 3 was an awesome intro to the series (which included a recap of 1 and 2), as it make was a clear love letter to Yu Sazuki's Shenmue, Japanese manga (shonen, I believe) and a Nintendo classic River City Ransom. Also, as a personal note I've visited Japan several times, so it was a delight to playthough. Continuing into this entry, I was hoping to get a true origin story to both Goro and Kiryu. Truthfully, you don't really get that, instead it really is just another dramatic story set before the events of Yakuza Kiwami (or Yakuza 1, on the PS2) Kiryu, the series' main protagonist isn't really portrayed as meek, instead he is shown to be wiser and as strong as when I saw him in the third entry. There wasn't really a deep look into his past, such as growing up with Nishiki and Yumi, nor any flashback to lessons from thier adoptive father Shintaro. Kiryu just beats people with his fists and then gives fatherly wisdom (at the ancient age of 26) to mothers, misguide youths and old men. Which truly leads me to believe that the series can only be taken serious during the main storyline. As for Goro, they make him a complete opposite of what he is portrayed in the series. In 0, he's humble and quiet, sweet guy whose just conflicted and damaged. Whereas in the remainder of the series, a friggin murderous lunatic dueteragonist. Granted what he goes through before 1988 would explain insanity. But none of this is truly developed throughout the main storyline. Also, the supporting characters act completely different from who they are in Kiwami (which I am playing now, and loving it) What does save the story is the side stories, which were funny and some a nice slice of life moment to experience. In regards to the gameplay itself, the fighting is smoother and remained fresh with the newer HEAT finishers and boss QTEs. The money system felt a bit exaggerated and really required me to grind through the real estate and cabaret host minigames. (I liked Majima's more, personally) Overall, the shear amount of content in the game is staggering, as there are tons of minigames side quests, collectibles and two HUGE management portions. I'd say I had a lot of fun with this entry, despite its sloppy writing and almost nonexistent origin story.

Let It Die

Very challenging, sometimes unfair FTP game!! Let it Die is a nice little beat em' up; that blends possible inspiration from the manga Battle Royale, Silent Hill and the 80s. It's pretty fun to get into and if you can handle the high difficulty, there is a lot of great in this game. Personally, I had to stop after I put about 10-15 bucks into it. As I don't think the game is worth more than 20-30 bucks in what it gives you. Edit 8/14/19 - The game has been more updates and it seems like the difficulty spike has been curbed in favor of using less of your money. If you play, use this simple strategy. 1) Progress a few levels 2) bring loot home 3) upgrade anything that is available and once you get a few weapons/armor piece to +3 focus on upgrading them until the materials required change. 4) Max out a Defender/Collector/Attacker and later levels a Luck fighter. 5) Use TDM to boost your lithium and coins to buy the gear for each trip. 6) Utilize daily logins/quests to get death metals (lives) and express passes. 7) Save lives for Mid and Main bosses. 8) If you buy death metals, use the .99, 4.99 and 9.99 options. The rest are a waste of hard earned cash. You should'nt need more than 50-60 to complete the game. Quests will give you 1 and daily logins will give you 3 a week. 9) You will die in TDM, it just really depends on if you are lucky to go against a play whose got the same gear. 10) TDM ranks give you items weekly depends on how well you are doing in each season. 11) Better gear and fighters are unlocked every twelve or so floors. 12) After each boss, the next set of floors give you access to higher gear materials. Blue=1 Green=2 Black=3 Red=4 Hope this helps you! However, there are a TON of great ideas presented in Let it Die!! Like the raid mode, that encourages you to attack people, very much like Mafia Wars, except you actually have to physically fight the other players lobby characters. Which is a stroke of genius, from my perspective. Let it Die is certainly worth your time to AT LEAST check it out!! EDIT: After leaving this game along for a few months, I noticed quite a few boosts and extra lives added to my in-game mailbox! I recommend if you are playing this on the cheap; play it for a day or so and then let it sit for month or two; THEN come back. I had up to 25 Death Metals racked up and made it past the second boss section. (Helpful hint!! BRING A FEW FLAT IRONS as weapons for the fight, it'll save you about 10 or 15 Death Metals)

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

Aug 14, 2019
FFXII: The Zodiac Age is a love letter to PS1 Square RPG fans. The composer, setting and art style are all from the same team that made Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics. Both of which were strong in story and gameplay, and FFXII is no exception. Everything here is a shining example of what made the FInal Fantasy series great. The creatures, lore, lands, story, characters, music, combat and magic were what made the series so captivating. The Zodiac Age does this ALMOST to perfection. The only drawbacks I noticed were: A) The Gambit system, once mastered made combat dull and uninteresting. Save for when the real fights came along and it was time to adapt my strategy, did it feel exciting again. B) The new job system really doesn't change all that much and could have been so much more. By the time you are 60 percent through the game, EVERYTHING WILL BE MAXED OUT except levels. The jobs do not feel unique and mostly change depending on if your a magic user or a attacker. Hell , just having some costumes changes would've made things interesting. Which is nothing in comparison to FFV. C) Late game leveling can be a big grind. Otherwise, I believe FFXII is my top ten Final Fantasy games after completing it.

This DLC seemed to be panned pretty badly, whereas I'd say I enjoyed it almost as much as Blood Dragon. The expansion is just about as long and expansive, with its own explorable map, missions and side quests. The overall world is boring, but the areas you come across add a good splash of humor, thanks to Hurk being your inseparable companion during the expansion. It reminded me of a poor man's version of Metroid Prime, except the story is stupid (in a good way) and the only that makes sense is anything the comes out of Nick Rye's mouth. It kept me busy for 10 hours and I left Mars pretty happy.

Hours of Darkness barely adds anything to Far Cry 5, save for a jungle setting. The really isn't a story, just a rescue mission and a big battle at the end. (Which had only a slight challenge) Honestly, it doesn't even scratch that itch to play a good game in a Vietnam War setting.

Far Cry 5 tries to take some big risks in terms of its story. For me, I personally did not like the cliffhanger ending, but it really is a love/hate to the story. Let's just say the Seed family will do not but piss you throughout the game. Everything that is in the series already, plays just the same, although the guns for hire addition makes the game way easier, when you can hire more than one companion. I liked the addition of choppers and planes and I hope that if there is a FC6 they use it more. I'd say the biggest thing that makes Far Cry 5 isn't the characters or the action, but the game's setting. It just immerses you into the whole smoky mountain feeling, when you are hunting, fishing or doing stunt missions. (Which I thought was a great addition as well.) Every addition to the series seems to improve on each other, yet the formula does seem a bit stale after 5 entries.

Far Cry New Dawn seemed like it was a section of Far Cry 5 that was removed from base game due to development deadlines. Honestly, had New Dawn been the final chapter for Far Cry 5 (as it did have the same assets and only had minor improvements) then it would've made FC5 a better game. The game is still fun in terms that it plays just like any other Far Cry game. The new material is entertaining and adds to what was left after the end of Far Cry 5. But in terms of what you get from the content, a full purchase isn't worth it. New Dawn is a couple steps back from FC5 and the only thing that keeps it above average is that it does conclude the story.

Been playing since Soul Edge. This was a HUGE step forward for the series. Especially after the anorexic SoulCalibur V. The gameplay improvements and meter moves fit well into the game and seem more balanced than Tekken 7's desperation moves. The visuals could've used a bit more polish, considering that we are 3/4 into the PS4's lifespan and that Bamco knows how to make things pretty. The game does feel more like a remake with all of the features included from previous entries. But the story modes are deep and will keep you busy for a few weeks or at least a few marathon days. My only gripe, is that there is a few exclusions from the roster, whom I miss. But they've been balanced out with the newer characters, which are pretty cool and add more depth to the old SoulCalibur I-III story.

Mortal Kombat 11

Went on here to share my opinion on MK11 and I see a 2.8 user score for the game. *sigh* Metacritic user scores are like crowds in the Coleseum from ancient Rome. The first person to scream you **** or cheer, creates the wave. Despite that, Mortal Kombat 11 is a vast improvement over its predecessor. The gameplay is slower paced this, as the run function (which has been a staple to the series since MK3), is gone. Now you'd think that would be a bad thing, well it's not. Without the run ability, there is more room to use projectiles, space out your attack/defense, etc. This keeps the match at a good pace and not simply about a mad race to out combo each other. The new meter system works well and does a good job at letting you break free from juggles and turn a match around. The X-ray system has also been replaced by Fatal Blow, which is still as over the top, but it really showcases each characters powers/gadgets. Honestly, the moves are a lot less cringeworthy and more visually pleasing to watch. Fatalities are the goriest they've ever been and really are cool to watch from time to time. However, I really wish they'd allow players to skip fatalities in single player, as there are just so many times I can watch the character I main, perform his fatalities. The character roster is a bit different this time, as there are a few that were excluded from the roster. Characters like Millenna and Reptile were excluded simply because they were killed off in MKX, so I don't understand where the hate comes from in regards to the roster. All of the new characters like Geras, Kollector and Cetrion are cool additions and I really like how they fit in the roster. There are also a LOT of cool returning cast members like Kabal, Skarlet, Jade and Noob Saibot. Each of these characters have been given a welcomed revamp of their movelist in order to streamline weapons, powers and gadgets. All of this, and the ability to customize, your gear, intros and victories really flesh out the characters. As for the potatoes of the gameplay, there is a new story mode, which was really good! The story is a little hard to follow if you aren't a regular MK fan, but it is satisfying and plays out well enough to put a conclusion on the series. (Maybe?) Then there is the usual modes, like online/local fights and the revamped towers mode, known as Towers of Time. At this point, after playing ToT mode for around 20 hours. I really enjoyed playing them, despite some of them being very difficult to beat. The only one I've yet to finish is the online 3v1 matches, which do need a difficulty tweak. (The developer is working on it) The rest of the mode is fun and encourages you to develop a character you'll use on a regular basis or at least use to get past the harder matches. And if that doesn't help you enough, you can choose to use items or have the CPU play the match for you. Lastly, there is the Krypt, which has been expanded to Shang Tsung's island, which plays not only as the area to unlock new stuff, but as an island full of easter eggs and secrets. Sure, some of the chests are expense to buy with the in-game money, but if you utilize the Towers of Time and story mode, you'll be fine unlocking things. As for the major complaints about microtransactions, SJW costumes and grinding, I'll say a couple things. The in-game currency is pretty common and really requires you to dig deep into the Krypt exploration and ToT. The skins and fatality skip tokens are the ONLY things that are being sold for REAL MONEY and are COMPLETELY optional. Hell, each skin that is put up for sale states below that it can be accessed in the Krypt or somewhere else in-game, save for one or two that can be unlocked with the Kronika orbs (Microtrans money), which can be earned in-game as well. The costumes are cool looking for the females and do seem like they are made to cater to the SJW crowd. It wouldn't hurt to have the old MK3 Kitana outfits or some of the good ones from previous entries that showed some skin, but you can't get everything you want. MK11 is pretty awesome to play, I'd just want a damn ability to skip the fatalities on occasion.

When I first got into Battlefield (Bad Company), I never saw myself using an armored trooper with a Maxim machine gun, dropping bombs on populated sector or charging into a hail of gunfire to cheat death or fall. Battlefield has always been about bringing the intensity of the combat, newer things to flesh that experience out. Battlefield 1 does it in the best way possible, all out war and large scale operations and vintage (mostly historically accurate) weaponry. For new players, forget what you know about every other shooter. Battlefield will train your failures into success the more you play it. At first, you may charge into battle hoping to find another to kill. At first, you will realize, that you are gunned down before snapping a shot in. So you die and respawn, begin to realize that moving too much is your enemy and that proper teamwork, accuracy and attacking carefully is the name of the game. (provided you aren't in a tank, which does change the dynamic slightly.) Second, you begin to understand what the hell classes/gadgets are and how they improve how you fight and survive longer. Once you figure out that, you'll realized what you've missed all these years and realize that Call of Duty was the wrong shooter to play. Battlefield is where its at!

The title is fun from start to finish. At first, the story drags, but by the end of the 1st chapter, it hooks you in. The story is funny and the characters get more and more likable as it continues, despite there being a few predictable moments in the story. Good stuff and story transitions much easier than Walking Dead or Back to the Future. Although, one thing I've learned with Telltale. You really just stop worrying about what choices you make, because they always seem to end up making very little difference by the end of the story. Fun ride from start to finish.

I played the original a bit, including the expansions and loved it. However, I always knew SoD was very rough around the edges, as it was developed my a newbie studio. Here we are, a few years later and 6 months after its launch and now its my chance to take a chomp into it. Right away, I noticed that the studio did not try to get brazen and repair something that wasn't broken; which was the core gameplay. You still run communities, scavenge and handle the undead the same, but there have been some welcome changes like improvements to combat and overall map design. Personally, I like that they played it safe and improved on what worked. The added co-op only seems to make the game easier, which to me seemed annoying. You'd figure, the more non-AI players you have, the harder the game gets; requiring you to work together to survive. All I got, was players handing buttloads of supplies, high powered weapons and ammo. (Which is nice, but really kills the whole point of survival.) Personally, I prefer AI to normal players for this type game *shrugs* Although, there is a lot of untapped potential for multiplayer in a game like this. Then there are the bad things. Bugs are still bad and quest still have disappearing NPCs. Thankfully, the developers did give us a quick fix, know as the "stuck" command. Yep, you can radio to have you or car unstuck if you glitch. (Provided zombies are stomping your ass, while doing this. Which they will.) Also, you can't play this game for longer that 3 hours. After that, you will get bored and frustrated (provided you aren't surviving well, which happens A LOT) Granted, this one doesn't really stack the odds against you as bad as playing SoD1's Breakdown DLC. Questing is pointless, save for gaining new survivors, who also seem to have less personality than it's predecessor. In regards to questing, the game falls flat. Had they added a story section to each region, it would've given the scavenging and expanding, a sense of purpose. State of Decay 2 truly is improvement in terms of core gameplay, but leaves you feeling hollow with its lack **** story and hordes of game bugs. Killing zombies and building yourself to survive it all is still fun, but that is where its at. Which is a shame, because the developer could've done so much more. Maybe its because M$ didn't throw enough checks at them for a good quality QA team and writers. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a ton of improvement from this tiny studio, but there was a lot of potential to be had, considering that Microsoft had so few 1st party titles to carry their system. I'll still play it, but if your not a fan of the game, this will be a pass.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a major step up from its predecessors. However, it loses steam due to vanilla-flavored story that could've truly portrayed a great love after lost story. Which is really a shame, as it does an adequate job of telling a story of revenge. The only true drawback it has. The combat is slick and truly feels like up-close and personal fighting. Which is a major improvement to simply counter killing/multikill your way out of stack of dead guards. Although it isn't anything close to the real thing, the feel is there and I felt it hit its mark well. I really liked playing in the arena, as it did a decent job of showing inspirations from the many gladiator movies from Hollywood. The arena will truly teach you how to fine tune your combat abilities overall, which helps in the later missions. Also, boss fights are now in the game and some of the "targets" even have a little Metal Gear Solid sort of abilities as an added challenge. The stealth part of the game really hasn't changed, but it was seriously dialed back for the game. Thankfully, the hidden blade and a few of the assassin abilities do make a return, but assassinations and stealth are only really necessary for the VIPs and heavily guarded areas. Personally, I think it's about time the Creed developers look at revising the stealth mechanic, as it getting a little old. As for the visuals and sounds, you'd figure that Egypt would be boring because of the sands. Thankfully, the world is filled with villages, bustling towns, tombs and many other wonders. Exploring the world always remained enjoyable and fun to do, even when I was halfway through the game. Like a lot of people have said on here, you can clearly see the developers had The Witcher 3 in mind, when they made this.

Battle Royale is overall a good game to play, but it is bogged down by the overall lack of unlockable content and modes to get into. It's pretty much a 1-4 player match and an arcade-style mode. Sure, there are a lot of cool characters, but most of them really aren't given enough moves to make them enjoyable to play as for an extended period of time. This would've been remedied had there been some sort of quest or adventure mode to support the game. I really wanted to love this game, but really just pales in comparison to Nintendo's Smash Bros. Although, this is a good alternative to those who don't have a Nintendo console and want a easy pick and play brawler.

The storytelling has been drastically impoved by a more dramatic retelling of the old games. Playing through it never felt like Capcom was trying to **** us in with nostalgia and really feels like there is real love put into this. Granted, it is a light game/on rails shooter, and does a better job than any other in its genre simply because of its overall presentation. Dead Rising 3 is a culmination of everything that was presented in the previous entries: Cheesy story, streets swamped with the undead, crossdressing and the ridiculous combo weapons. DR3 brings things up a notch by adding a much higher number of on-screen zombies (thanks to it being on a current gen system) You'd think that would be a good thing, it is and isn't. Sure, there is an added challenge to having to deal with more zombies, but it doesn't give you enough breathing room to truly enjoy everything that Los Perdidos has to offer. (Which is a lot) The combo weapons are back in higher numbers but suffer for way too many similar variations of a weapon. (Just look at the plush bear combos, there are like 8 or 9 FFS!!) Granted there are some that stand out and are still pretty fun to use. Kinda like the gun glove or lightsaber that still don't get old to me. Combo VEHICLES have also been put into this! Initially I was impressed but was let down by there only being 7 types to make. (Excluding the junk varieties) The game itself is fun and enjoyable, but gets old due to there being no real tension to get things done. Sure, side quests and the main story are still on a clock. But it takes a LONG time for you to screw that up. If you do the side quests, you'll most likely see almost everything there is to explore on the island and if you complete the DLC, you will for sure. As for the additional content, the side stories do flesh out some things and explain some of the events not fully covered in the main story. They aren't necessary, but are worth it, especially for the new toys you get to play with! The final piece of the content is an arcade beat em' up version of the game that allows you to play as all of the protagonists in the series and has them in some hilarious cosplay outfits like Chun-li, Captain Commando and Felicia. (Which is Nick dressed as catgirl, F*ckin hilarious!) Honestly, it's the best out of the DLC and was pretty fun to play! Overall, the game is a step up from Dead Rising 2 and OTR (Which were pretty good, too!) The massive hordes do tend to take the joy out of exploring, but it is balanced when taking out your frustration out on them with an electrified rake. As for the story, it is a bit more on the serious side and does tie into the other games pretty well. But it doesn't in any awards.

Hotline is a pretty good game, that gives a lot of respect to the 8-bit action games. This is an action game, but its more like strategy action style of gameplay. Its basically, clear a room, don't mess it up or you have to do it all over again. It does play more towards a realistic fight scenario, when you're working through a hard part it can be REALLY frustrating. Fortunately, the game is pretty forgiving, in the sense that each floor is a checkpoint. As for the story, its good, but it has to grow on you. The game is pretty hard in terms of difficulty and requires some patience in most tough areas.

For those who've never played a MGS game - Its a pretty easy stealth/action game to pick up and play. It has a little bit of a learning curve, especially with some missions. The game can be challenging in later missions and a pain in the ass when trying to complete the side ops. The comic cinematics aren't too long but can make for a pretty entertaining experience. If you are looking to jump into the series, you are going to be pretty lost. I recommend you either start with Metal Gear Solid 1 or 3 (your choice) For the fans - Gotta admit, this game caught me by surprise! The comic cinematics hold up almost as good as the regular ones. Codec calls are still here, but in the form of tapes; which does allow it to be optional, vice having to skip a lot of cutscenes. In terms of sneaking and challenge, it does lack a good challenging AI. Search teams simply spot check an area and leave, instead actually searching for you. Which should've been implemented as its been used since MGS2. There is a lot of depth in terms of content to unlock and research, it is cool to actually see the weapons that existed from the post Vietnam era. (Although a few are fictional) Missions do get repetitive and if you got addicted to playing the game in order to complete, like I did. It is a full-on grind. Not only that, you have to use a guide to figure out WHICH missions to beat just to progress. (Just like MGSV) The story is awesome and is respectful canon to the rest of the series. The AI weapons were pretty unbelievable and didn't seem to fit in the time period, but were really challenging to go up against in the harder missions. Fultoning gets old, but nothing in comparison with MGSV's system. This is a must play for fans of the series. Seriously, it is.

Payday 2, looks and plays like Half-Life 2's ugly cousin. It doesn't play well and gameplay just ends up being a mindless slaughter of cops and innocent AIs. Sure this is just a game, but this game just bothered me for some reason. I've done rampages on GTA, lassoed/train smashed damsels in Red Dead and beat up hostages/marines in MGS2 and this game still seemed wrong to me. Then it dawned upon me, this game is utter ****. A quality game would have a SWAT team mow my team down ASAP. Sorry, just HAD to get that out. I will give the developers props for coming up with a smart game idea, it just needs to be more current. There are some other great ideas like, the hideout/crib, which would've been cool to get to interact with, provided I would've enjoyed the game... Everything that was presented in South Park seems to have been recycled in this game. Like a few others have said, many of the jokes have been done. It seems as though over all of the material they've had for well over twenty years, they'd through more substance into it. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty funny moments; then there are many parts where it's really just boring. I didn't like the move to a tactical rpg and less focus on stats and equipment. Instead, its just some artifacts that really "set it and forget it" feel to upping your stats. Which really seems like a lazy system, as is the crafting. (Then again, maybe that is a joke in itself) Sidequests are mostly boring but add some funny moments, with a few memorable ones. The main story is decent and really just makes up for a long South Park episode. It seems as though they wanted to do more gags on the comics but never really went through with it, probably because of licensing or something. There is a mountain of material to go on...which seemed like a missed opportunity on their part. I didn't enjoy this as much as the previous South Park game, but the main quest was still good enough to keep me entertained.

Right off, I've NEVER seen nor heard of the series or the manga until I played this game! With that said, Senran Kagura is a SHAMELESS version of Dynasty Warriors. (Which isn't even challenging!) The first thing comes to mind to every person that plays this; regardless of what gender you **** ol' biddies/boobs. By and far, it's the true selling point. Hell, the game take the manga term Ecchi and expands it to exponential proportions. SK:EV isn't even suddle about, in fact it embrasses that by making the characters either obviously perverted, phony or oblivious to the fact that they are being objectified. The only things that save the game is the available content and story mode, which isn't Hemingway by a light year. If you are looking for a title just to have so you can stare at digital TnA, this is it, but even that will you rolling your eyes and letting this one go. For Americans that don't get access to DOAX3, here is your alternative.

Easily a classic title! The story exudes genuine emotion, the actors and voicework is phenomenal. Gameplay it's a serious challenge for 30-40 percent of the game. Then as you learn to combat your enemies, the combat gets easier, but always remains a challenge. Gathering materials does get tiresome, but remains a necessary, as it would in real life. The atmosphere and world is just as beautiful as games like Skyrim, The Witcher 3 or The Last of Us. My only two gripes are with the combat. First, fighting humans is pretty boring and oversimplified, as there are a few parts in the game where you will be fighting plenty of regular humans. These parts could have been made more cinematic or something it made things more interesting. Second, the machines can be a little overpowering somethings, especially in the first 20 hours.

Being a fan of Metal Gear and Bioshock, you'd figure someone like me would like this game. Initially, I did with its steampunk/victorian world, which seemed too obsessed with making this a "vive la resistance" sort of story. It sounded cool at first, but everything just fizzled out halfway in. Your character is way overpowered for a game that encourages stealth and eventually the enemies no longer are a challenge. The art style and design was really cool, but it just really dragged for me and I finished it. There was a lot of potential to do more here, I just never got to see that during my playthrough.

Tokyo Jungle is a great sleeper hit! It blends a survivor system using carnivores and herbivores. The action and stealth blend is a nice touch; but it is how you learn to adapt with the lowest of the food chain in order to become an animal on the top of the food chain. This is an addictive little blend of survival and combat, which is sure to keep you busy!

THIS HATE IS RIDICULOUS AND JUVENILE!!! There, I said it. This game is no where near its aggregate score. Sure there are some flaws here and there with the game, but NOTHING that makes it a steaming pile of poop, everyone has made it out to be. This isn't the original Mass Effect Trilogy and NEVER will be that. Granted, that the bar is set very high, but lets face each title had its flaws. The first played to rigid, ME2 had too short of a campaign and 3 was letdown ending-wise. I've been playing this for well over 14 hours, so far, so good. Planetary exploration is much cooler with the view of the spaceship moving planet to planet. Ground exploration is FINALLY back. Missions are laid out very similar to how Dragon Age Inquisition is, with a select amount of large areas to explore and seems to work the same. Honestly, if you look at how Inquisition plays, just apply that to this. My only gripe was how the limited the loadout, powers system is now. Also, being unable to equip weapons from the menu is garbage. But I've seen worse mechanics in my almost 30 years of gaming so, I'll **** it up. Everyone is expecting way too much from games these days, ya'll haters need to calm down. VERY LIGHT SPOILERS, nothing major. After playing this for MANY hours, I've realized two things. 1. AVOID THE FETCH QUESTS, most of them aren't really that rewarding, give you crap loot/credits/experience. Focus on doing the side missions related to your crew and improving the viability of planets. Space exploration is almost pointless, save for actually discovering the FIVE viable planets, after that mapping the stars get real boring. 2. The story is a repeat of the 1st Mass Effect, sans the intriguing twist of the original. Yet the narrative isn't horrible, just that it lacks the charm of the ANY of the original trilogy. I felt like everything I did in Andromeda gave me that "been there, done that" kind of feeling. DROPPED MY SCORE FROM AN 8 to a low 7. The combat is good and the game has its moments, mostly during main and character missions.

Skullgirls is a beautifully animated, indie fighting game. It holds itself up well many of the lesser known fighters like Guilty Gear and Blazblue. However, the game's roster really suffers in comparison to most other fighting games. You really can't fault Autumn Games for making such a solid first entry. The fighters and arenas that are here are very colorful and unique in their overall design and movesets. The best way to look at this, is by comparing it to the original release of Street Fighter II. Simple, sleek and fun to play with a friend.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of the greatest games in the action genre. Why?! What truly makes this the greatest game out of the Metal Gear Solid series? Here is a list. -Intriguing plot about spys, superpowers and saving the world -A perfected action/stealth combat system that encourages reconnaissance or blind aggression. -Lots of gadgets, firepower and multiple ways to use those items -Cool ways to hide and blend into buildings and the environment. -Cool and crazy characters that are interesting or disturbing, which gives the game a James Bond kind of feel. -Lots of entertaining moments, cool cutscenes and dialogue. -Snake is just badass -But can be a dork sometimes -Environments are lush and full of life -Boss fights are challenging and will test skills in so many ways. Sure, some of these apply to other entries, MGS3 does it PERFECTLY and will have you hooked. If you are new to the series, you can start with MGS1 or THIS, aren't any direct references or spoilers to the first entry in the Metal Gear Solid series, as this is a PREQUEL. A must play, without question. MGS3 does have a bit of a learning curve for novices, but after you've learned the ropes, you're good.

Gunslinger takes us back to everything that the series did right, tight Wild West shooting and a pretty interesting story. Granted that the series wasn't God's gift to writing or better than any AAA shooter. But it always did give itself enough positives to keep most folks interested. This entry avoids trying to be something else aside from a western, focusing on its strengths instead. It still plays like the older games, but the storytelling is much more fleshed out and simplified. Combat is fast and fun and remains so during the entire game. Although its a little shorter in length, the entire experience is really just right. Western fans will also like the embellished story of hunting down almost every notorious name in the Wild West.

Soul Calibur V brings in the old and gets rid of the new in literally every way. Many of the older characters in the roster have been phased out and made for newer ones. Online gameplay is made a primary focus and the single player content is striped down to story mode and a pseudo-ghost mode. On the up side, the game plays the best it ever has and fights are exciting and still retain that great weapon combat that Soul Calibur is known for. Also, the character customization is some of the most detailed and will keep CAC (create a character) fans busy FOREVER! It really does have one of the best character creation system on the PS3.

The Walking Dead: TTS is pretty much a tamer version of the FX show, but is another story about survivors from the Atlanta area. Like with every other Telltale game, its a CYOA (Choose your own adventure), so there are all kinds of ways a situation can go. (Save for a few key moments) Playing as a survivor, as the whole world turns to **** is a good change of pace as you get to experience more of the human element of the TWD world. As a story by itself, it is a must play for fans of the series, along with Season 2. (which is even better!) Personal advice, If you plan on going all out, I'd avoid Season 3 altogether and wait until the next one, you aren't really missing much.

The Redux of two solid post-apocalyptic games would seem kind of pointless considering they both came out less than a decade ago. But the first metro really needed the updated combat system that the sequel introduced. Both titles promote multiple ways to approach combat, dark and tight quarters, as well as harsh environments to traverse. Many PC gamers will compare this to STALKER, which is another similar game set in post nuclear war Russia. But this title is more action oriented than STALKER, yet it has its far share of dark and terrifying moments. The best way to describe it; is that Metro is half Call of Duty and the other half, a darker version of Fallout 3. My only complaint with the titles, is that the game progression is way too linear and I really wished for some bigger areas to explore when you get to the occasional settlement. What makes these games so great, is that they blend combat, survival, story and the atmosphere really well. Save for the smaller shortcomings, these are a must play for adult FPS fans.

Out of all the remastered collections, the Uncharted collection would seem like a pointless purchase, if you've already played them all. Yet all of Nate's adventures are worth more than one revisit, which makes this a great title to own. The updated visuals give the titles a clean look to go with newer TVs, is only an added bonus to the already great package you're getting. If you're new to Uncharted or you want to show **** game to someone who'd rather watch than play the game, this is it. Uncharted is the Indiana Jones of video games and never comes off as being too similar with the latter. These three games are a MUST PLAY, without question.

The score is slightly inflated because I am a South Park fan and had a GREAT time playing this! Provided you can stomach the vulgarity and gross humor that comes with the territory, TSOT is the one of the best RPGs in a long time. If so, the gameplay makes you feel like your in an extended episode of South Park. Your interactions with the town members are very funny and make you feel as if you live there. Battles play like a traditional turn based RPG, but with a twist. Many of the moves give attacks a boost using simple button prompts, but add a bit more humor or "potentcy" to the attacks. There are special attacks, magic and summons; all of the things that make a RPG great. Yet South Park kicks it up a notch with its satirical characters and pokes at things like Taco Bell and the fantasy genre. Some of the backtracking did get a little boring, but playing the main story and exploring the town is an endless laugh riot. There are so many damn references to its source material and the current culture that even the item descriptions will have you laughing. If you like South Park (or its sense of humor) and RPGs, this is a no-brainer.

This season felt like it was written by a group of guys playing hot potato with the story-line. The star and major focus of the Telltale series, Clementine, is only just an honorable mention. Everything we cared about from the previous seasons has been washed away flashbacks and meaningless dialogue. Considering how long it took for the season to come out, you'd figure there would be a concrete direction on where to take her story. Not once is there any mention to ANY of the previous characters from season 1 or 2, save for a few names or Easter eggs thrown out there. Not only that, this season felt shortest of all. The primary character, Javier is an empty shell that just tries too hard to make himself into a Rick-like character. Which TWD doesn't need, most of us like Rick and that story has already been done. Sure there are some good shocker moments and situations get tense, but none of it felt like it could have made dramatic changes. Telltale played way too safe with this season, they put Clem on the sidelines and focused on a new character that would've been better being the SUPPORT for Clem, NOT the focus. TT has to realize, they have to stop worrying about canon and just avoid including guest characters and focus on its own thing. We don't need pointless cameos and nods to the comics/TV series save for a past reference or two. What made the 1 and 2 good was that they were harsh and unforgiving, yet took their time to highlight the human element of The Walking Dead. None of that is present in this season. It's not like I could write any better, but it truly lacked a lot. Save for couple good moments in the story.

Before I begin, I've 100% both 3 and New Vegas (not bragging, just stating experience). The gameplay is best its been and the combat is still sharp. The world is packed with all kinds of places to discover and when you find those little touches/gags made by the developers, you know they had a lot of fun making this. Sure, the game does get way too expanded and the side questing/exploration distracts from the main quest. When hasn't it been that way in ANY Bethesda RPG?! The main quest is better than it's ever been, even with the not-so silent protagonist. Granted their lines could have been a LOT more diverse. Weapon/Armor customization was cool, I wanted more, but there was still plenty of things to do. I did miss weapon repair system and the karma points. But I wouldn't drop the score for that, nor would I do it for the lack of REAL mod support for the PS4. That was Sony's issue with the game. Even after platinum this, I've STILL got things to do in the game. True Lone Wanderers know this is a classic, just like the others.

Outside of the outdated and slow net code. Ultra is everything Street Fighter and Final Fight fans wanted, a huge mash-up on the greatest 2D fighter ever. If you are unfamiliar with Street Fighter IV, this is a huge step-up artistically and graphically. The paintbrush art-style is phenominal and enhances all of the fighters and the game in such a tremendous fashion. I will admit. that some of the "Arcade" additions like Oni and Evil Ryu were a bit much and dont seem to fit as a lot of the other fighters. (Seth is an exception, as he's really just a boss character.) Street Fighter IV is really the high point of the series and may stay that way.

Combat is fun and keeps a solid balance between stealth and not-so-much ;) Boss fights are still really cool, too. As a follower of the series since, DAY ONE, (As in, NES Metal Gear) the story is, by far the most epic in gaming. Provided you are familiar with the story, you'll find that EVERYTHING IS WRAPPED UP with very few questions left open. For the vets, I recommend you play this bad boy on Hard or above. Gameplay wise, MGSV is better, but the final chapter in the story of Solid Snake MGS4, beats it out by LIGHT YEARS.

At this point in the series, the game needed a few new things to freshen it up. Fortunately, the approach the story takes is interesting, but I was a bit let down when the "J-man" pops into the game. I was looking more for a story that avoided using the Joker. Because lets be honest, by this point, The Joker needed a rest. I was happy, that the assassins did get more attention. Sadly, it does lack the original voice talent of Batman and Joker, but the actors they got for the job portray it their own way. The way I look at it, this was their younger versions being voiced. Which makes the cutscenes a little easier to enjoy. As for the gameplay, Rocksteady does what it does best and pulls off another great part of the series.

Overall, I'm a Battlefield fan, but dropped off the CoD series after this. To be honest, its just that CoD NEVER changes its formula. Everything has to be fast and furious and never about strategy and good gunplay. What made this one good for me, was that the double jumps and abilities gave the series a much needed change. Most people hated this change but thats because they like the same recycled garbage. If you want to play an older CoD, go do that. All of them are still pretty active. As for the story, it wasn't bad, the campaign is starting to feel more like a on-rails shooter and less of what it used to be.. which was a theatrical campaign that had a bit of intrigue and just the right amount of explosions. My other gripe is the aliens multiplayer, which does replace the usual zombies. While I admire the direction to move away from zombies, but with CoD, its sort of something that is a hit and probably always will be.

Granted, it doesn't have the iconic moments like the Cohen performance or the dark twists, but it does have a few good story moments. Where the game truly shines is in its improved gameplay and focus to keep what worked and make it better. THAT'S HOW GOOD THE AUTO-MATCHING IS. There were NO LAGS and any players that were not connecting were dropped in less than 15-30 seconds. This plays almost EXACTLY like Far Cry 3, with the exception of it being set in the mountains. That isn't a bad thing if you enjoyed the FC3, which I did. It almost felt as if both of the titles were in the works side by side and FC3 was completed well before FC4's project was finished. The only major differences this time around are obviously the story and the surrounding environments. In comparison, I feel AJs story wasn't as compelling simply because of the morality choices you have to make in the game. (Which, mind you, doesnt really change all that much) A good part of the story was going against all of Pagin's Lieutenants. Some of those experiences were pretty cool and really built me up to the point I'd face Pagin Min himself. Sadly, the endgame experience with him is very short. (But satisfying, nonetheless!) FC4 doesn't have the same bang as its predecessor, just a lesser experience in contrast to the jungle paradise of Far Cry 3.
