Simply put, it’s one of the best remasters in history. [12/2015, p.70]

Uncharted: TNDC is one for the ages. Yes, the gameplay and visual wow-factor have faded in a few spots, but the inimitable charm of Nate and co., plus some of the best story-telling in gaming, make this a must-have. [Christmas 2015, p71]

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection offers three unforgettable adventures filled with entertaining and memorable characters. The puzzles were challenging but enjoyable, adding variety to the experience without becoming frustrating. The platforming was well designed, and the gunfights often felt like scenes from an action movie. My favorite entries in the collection were Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2, although Uncharted 3 was also a very enjoyable adventure. Overall, this collection delivers a fantastic blend of exploration, action, and storytelling that makes it easy to understand why the series became so popular.

One of the first games I had when I got a PS4, the Uncharted trilogy served as my introduction to triple-A gaming and is still the standard by which I way other AAA games till even now. A thrilling, exciting showcase of exciting gameplay, tense and incredibly memorable set pieces, some great soundtracks, and some of gaming’s most likable characters, and stories that get better and more enthralling with each entry, even the weakest entry of the trilogy with the first game still provides you with an unforgettable, globe-trotting experience.

Without a doubt, this is the best remastered game "compilation" ever made.

A Timeless Masterpiece CollectionUncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a perfect example of how to remaster a legendary franchise. Bringing together Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 in one package, this collection delivers an unforgettable adventure that still stands at the very top of action-adventure **** visual upgrades are impressive, with smoother performance, improved textures, and a stable 60 FPS that makes the gameplay feel better than ever. Each game offers thrilling set pieces, fluid combat, and expertly designed puzzles that never overstay their welcome. Even Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which shows its age slightly, shines thanks to the technical improvements. What truly makes this collection a 10/10 is its storytelling and characters. Nathan Drake is one of gaming’s most iconic protagonists, supported by an equally memorable cast. The dialogue is sharp, funny, and natural, making every interaction feel alive. The sense of adventure, exploration, and cinematic spectacle is unmatched. This collection is not just a remaster—it’s a celebration of one of the greatest trilogies in gaming history. Whether you’re new to Uncharted or revisiting it, The Nathan Drake Collection is essential PlayStation gaming.Score: 10/10

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is probably the best PS4 remaster thus far – and the system's had more than enough of them to give that statement weight.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is exactly what you’d expect. The first game doesn’t quite measure up and could turn off newcomers (always a concern), and the games really don’t have a lot of “new” in them. But really, the brilliance of this top-tier action/adventure series remains in full view throughout, and the remastering veterans at Bluepoint did a good job.

For all the game industry’s current obsession with open worlds and open-ended narratives, the Uncharted games stand as a shining example of the possibility for linear stories to be infinitely re-playable. They don’t need anything more.

If you never played Uncharted, with the Nathan Drake Collection you're in for a hell of a ride. But the lack of any juicy extra content is a shame.

A sumptuous remaster, but the games themselves have aged badly.

It's a collection of games that were the best, compared to todays games, it obviously won't be as good graphically or gameplay wise, but the stories are still fun. The first game is particularly rough to play and it is kind of a slog to get through at times, but it's a good start to the franchise story wise. The second and third games are better, however shooting can still feel frustrating at times and throughout all three games, taking cover felt janky. One place where the games do well are the stories; each game has its own interesting story, and while some parts of the stories could feel repetitive, especially if you play all three games in a row, they all still have good moments and overall are good stories with funny characters. You can have a good time playing these games if you manage your expectations before starting, otherwise you might get disappointed.

I get the appeal, but I was told these were supposed to be fun. Repetitive hordes of bullet sponge enemies and hand holding parkour sections are not fun.

Good story and cinematic, however, the gameplay is poor across all 3 games. Other than the story, at its core gameplay, it is an average third-person cover shooter at best. Spikes in difficulties between chapters, difficulties spikes in climbing, and shooting. Uncharted (mostly uncharted 1 and 2) suffer from lazy writing/cutscene where the villain somehow got lucky and caught nathan therefore is heading to the same location as Nathan's next destination. (However, I don't care much about this, if the gameplay is good, so this is just a minor complain) In uncharted 1, game play is very repetitively towards the end of the story, with core gameplay being exactly the same (shoot, run to cover to heal, shoot again), and the enemy is everywhere (Nathan just sneak into somewhere during the story cutscenes, the somehow the enemy knows he is there just to extend the gameplay). The story has poor pacing, too much shooting when I just want to progress the story. Uncharted 2 has much better story progression pacing, combine with some of the cool levels (such as the train), I would say this is the best uncharted game. Uncharted 3 has very annoying difficulties spikes, and large repetitive gameplay with little to no story progression for the sake of extending the game time (such as the ship level). Game mechanics such as the enemy with a shield is very annoying with the only real solution being grenades. And you get 2 pumped by a shot gun even on easy difficult settings. enemy often walk up behind me with no audio, and this game has no settings to change look sensitivity. So you just take a long time to turn around just to get 2 pumped by an AI with a shotgun on easy setting (you can get 2 pumped on all 3 uncharted game). I have play many shooter game, thousands of hours in multiple FPS game, yet this is one of the most annoying experience I ever had in terms of gameplay.
