Had a great time watching it. Not a must watch film to non fans but it worked for me on many levels. My first issue was always who can portray Michael since I’ve been watching him so much over the years how can someone possibly be believable to me but Jaafar really pulls it off. Not just the dances but the vulnerability. It really works. His relationship with his father is at the centre at the film and it was very interesting to watch. Not a single dull moment. The film however doesn’t have enough film in it. Lots of it are concert performances which are fun if u love mj but it could have used more character moments. The film basically sets everything. It shows events that later had tremendous consequences in Michael’s life but then it just ends. It could have been a really fascinating character study if it just went on for at least another hour. So I’m hoping for part 2.

It is a beautifully shot film and I enjoyed it. Story might be predictable and can feel like it has been already told enough times but I don’t agree that it’s a bad thing. I believe in the story and top-notch performances help to sell it. It does feel like an old school TRUE cinema that we don’t get much these days. The first part of Horizon an American saga feels like an appetizer for what’s yet to come and I can’t wait.

The movie is kind of forgettable and predictable in not a good way but at the same time I don't think it’s a piece of crap of a movie like many critics implied. I think some people are hypocritical when it comes to judging this one too harshly because so many MCU projects that are of the similar quality get praise. Also, this movie came out at the worst time possible when it sort of feels like a last breath of a dead franchise. I feel like this one could have benefited a lot by being longer and expanding on the family themes they tried to hang their emotional side of the movie on. Definitely, in the beginning there was a lack of that, of any character meaningful scenes. It started as a Saturday morning cartoon and ended as if there were 4 films before that established these characters.

Very well written and directed film making it extremely entertaining to watch due to its well fleshed out timeless themes and the way it was edited which is rare when it comes to biopics. Usually these films are pretty straight in their narrative but Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS is a wonderfully stylish and sophisticated work of art. Austin Butler IS Elvis. An oscar worthy performance (sadly oscars not relevant anymore) The only nitpick I have about the film is briefly played soundtrack songs performed by modern era artists. I will never be able to understand the use of modern pop/hip-hop sound in a film depicting historical events.

Cruise control baby! I think this film is best described as the movie that was made in the 80s and I mean it in the best way possible. Apart from technology that was used to achieve beautiful shots of fighter planes action this film is a classic heroism tale. It's full of heart, badass moments, character drama and romance that's perhaps the only unnecessary part of the film.

I believe the movie achieves everything it sets out to do. Perfect film about Bruce Wayne figuring out who he wants to be for Gotham and for himself. It introduces many key characters in the Batman lore. All those characters find purpose in this film and are not there just as a fan service or a build up for a sequel. The film is dark and violent yet so artistic that every shot of it could serve as a beautiful painting.

I had a blast watching this film in a packed theater with crowd cheerfully reacting to big moments. It doesn’t disappoint in fan service department and what’s great that it serves a purpose in terms of story. Comedy was done extremely well for the most part (except for some jokes here and there that didn’t land at all) but I felt that during the second half of the film there were too many jokes that conflicted with high stakes situation that characters were facing. In addition, certain moments seemed like an antidote to critical thinking. Some of the issues could have been resolved without that much trouble and ultimately the ending feels like a bit of a letdown for that same reason. Although far from perfect, Spider-Man No way home is a must-see for all long time spidey fans.

Given the fact that most of the film takes place in the 80s I was expecting a slightly different approach similar to “Good Boys” (2019) because I was under impression that this movie is for those who feel nostalgic about the time and that console generation. Unfortunately, this film is not rated R, which results in a childish humor and a very light tone. However, this lighter tone works for a family friendly Christmas movie that surprised me with its heart and moral message. In times when kids grow up chasing materialistic things that supposedly could make them happy according to social media this movie teaches a very valuable lesson and also manages to be kind of fun.

This movie doesn’t get anything right. This film was cut as if they were going for an extended version of the trailer rather than an actual movie. There’s nothing interesting going on with the characters, very little exposition. There are no real dilemmas in the movie nor does it ever feel like the stakes are truly high. Woody’s portrayal of the character is just weird. The movie is full of silly jokes for kids and the fact that VENOM doesn’t have gore and that level of violence is only implied is just stupid.

Great martial arts action that‘s rarely seen in today‘s Hollywood films and phenomenal camera work too. The way camera follows action, rotates in sync with the movement etc I love it. Family drama was good and most characters were believable. The only issue I have is with Awkwafina’s character. It has to be the most unnecessary character ever. Literally added so that when protagonist is going through a stressful situation we could get a silly shot of Awkwafina showing Shang thumbs up. If you would cut her from the movie nothing would change at all. Not only that but it takes away a much-needed spotlight from Xialing. All those heartfelt conversations that Shang had with Katy he needed to have with his sister instead who had an important role to play in pushing the story forward. Marvel once again proves they’re not able to abandon silly jokes in favor of stronger narrative.

Decided to rewatch it before "No way home". I think Garfield does a good job at portraying a teenager but most actors look too old to be high schoolers and sometimes I just found myself not fully believing the struggles that these kids were going through because of that. Other than that Garfield sells an idea of a science genius skateboarder who looks cool and acts cool. Not so much of a nerdy loser but it's okay, this is a different version. I didn't like how they show Uncle Ben's death but then it's never mentioned after that although the effect of what that death meant can be felt in Peter's responsibility to save people of his city. Not a huge fan of the lizard's design and his plan also felt pretty generic and dumb. Spider-man action was great. Dynamic, fun and heroic.

A much needed break from typical MCU formula (mostly). I enjoyed a darker tone and more brutal, intense action sequences. I love this new family of characters and I found their relationships and personal dilemmas that they faced to be believable therefore fight scenes became more enjoyable since the stakes were high. Fights in this film are extremely dynamic and it's a lot of fun to watch. The only issue that I have is with comedy. Marvel films are known for belittling the drama by making fun of sad moments. Some people like it and some don't. I'd prefer to not have the drama ruining jokes that feel forced. It doesn't happen as often as in many other MCU which is nice. I find that these jokes are mostly funny but the price for them is too high. Also, Ramin Djawadi's score could be my most favorite of all Marvel films. It embodies heroism on a literal god level. Overall, I love Eternals and I hope to see more of them with Chloé Zhao returning to direct.

This is one of those rare times when I regret not looking into the film prior to watching it the first time. Certain elements of this film I didn't recognize at first and it changes the way u see the movie. I love the tone, I'd love more fantasy films this dark and mysterious. I'd love to see this world explored further too. It's really fascinating and balanced to the point where it feels like u're watching a historical piece which makes it much more believable. I love how the film is full of symbolism that you can spend hours discussing after the film is over. Its themes are also not something that's out in the open I believe. I have my ideas of what this film is truly about but I can't say that I know for a fact. I have to watch it a few times more.

I haven't seen Star Wars as a kid so I don't have the same connection to original cast as a lot of fans have so perhaps this is why I really like the new lead characters and especially Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. Everything about them in this movie is perfect to me. I loved how Luke walks a thin line between good and evil. Grey area is something you don't see in Star Wars and it was great so that being the link between Kylo and Rey was something that I thought was very interesting. The other part of the film is complete rubbish. It felt like they didn't know what to do with other characters. The whole casino sequence and everything that those characters were doing felt like a silly distraction.

As a long time Mortal Kombat fan I cannot review this movie and not compare it to an original 1995 film. With all its cheesiness and lack of gore MK 95 stands superior in my eyes. It just feels more like an actual film and not a youtube video shot at a green screen studio. New film has the most random locations, Outworld is just rocks and Shang Tsung hanging around near a generic throne. There's no atmosphere at all. No feeling of mystery. Everything feels extremely dull. The only character that had personality was Kano while others channel less personality than fighters on a select screen. I do appreciate that creators respect the game and offer many references to it as well as pack this film with gore for which MK is known for. A prequel to the tournament could have been handled better if they stuck with solo stories. The need to get all the characters together feel forced. The story doesn't flow smoothly. However, I am optimistic about the sequel.

And oh how many comments have I read of fans expecting this and that and so on. I came in to see this film with no expectations and I was satisfied. David Chase keeps refusing fans to make a tv series but many of us who liked the film can't help but see this as a series and these two episodes were great but where is the rest of the season? While it feels like a complete story of its lead character the movie very openly sets up Tony as the protagonist of the possible sequel.

Reloaded feels like it went from using the matrix as a metaphor towards building an actual fantasy (sci fi) world where the system more often has a literal meaning. It is filled with confusing software jibber jabber that leads viewer from one grand action sequence to another. It's no longer a thought provoking film but rather a product of pop culture in its true form. To be honest I've read a few reviews before voicing my opinion. I was fascinated by how people saw this movie so differently. Someone thought there was only one true story in three perspectives we saw in the movie. The other one I’ve read claimed that the film tries way too much to please the current #metoo narrative. In my opinion, the film doesn't give a definitive answer to what is an undeniable truth, at least in regards to certain aspects (I'm not refering to the main question of guilt, that one is obvious). It does show that every person sees himself/herself as the hero of the story and that is what I liked about it. I thought performances were great. It was great seeing Ridley Scott do medieval stuff. I just couldn't miss that. The only minor issue I have with the film is that it was heavily advertised to have lots of action and it doesn't deliver on that part. It's great whenever sword fighting happens but there wasn't much of it.
