Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn Edition8
Jun 17, 2026
Tales of Arise has lost none of its appeal since its original release. The blend **** story, superbly written characters, an excellent combat system, and beautiful presentation works brilliantly on the Nintendo Switch 2. The technical implementation is particularly impressive in handheld mode, showcasing the potential of Nintendo's new hardware. Minor frame rate issues and the high battery drain prevent an even higher score, but they don't detract from the fact that Bandai Namco has delivered a successful port. For newcomers, the Beyond the Dawn Edition is currently the best way to experience one of the strongest JRPGs of recent years. Those who already own other versions won't find any significant new features, but they will get a technically sound and, above all, portable alternative.

Directive 80207
Jun 17, 2026
With Directive 8020, Supermassive Games achieves exactly what many fans have been hoping for for years: the tried-and-tested Dark Pictures formula isn't reinvented, but meaningfully developed further. The blend of science fiction horror, moral choices, and survival gameplay works exceptionally well. This is supported by a strong story, believable characters, and by far the best technology the series has offered to date. While the new gameplay mechanics can't eliminate every repetition, the overall experience is excellent.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth9
Jun 14, 2026
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is not a game you finish in a single weekend. It is a monumental RPG that can easily consume well over a hundred hours of playtime. This is precisely why the ability to switch to handheld mode at any time adds such immense value. Whether you are traveling, commuting, or relaxing on the balcony, the world of Gaia is always at your fingertips. On the built-in display, various technical compromises matter far less, while the platform's flexibility tangibly enriches the gaming experience. It is this very freedom that keeps you coming back to the Switch 2 version, even though other platforms offer objectively superior graphics. FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH remains a masterpiece of modern RPG design, proving impressively that technical brilliance is not the sole factor determining the quality **** experience. While the Nintendo Switch 2 version may not match the visual sharpness or level of detail found on the most powerful competing platforms, it preserves almost everything that makes this adventure so extraordinary. The gripping story, superbly written characters, excellent combat system, and fascinating game world make a powerful impact on Nintendo's hardware, too. The fact that such a massive RPG can now be enjoyed on the go with ease gives this port a unique appeal. Square Enix may not be delivering the most technically advanced version of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH here, but they are offering one of the most enjoyable and flexible ways to experience one of the best RPGs of the current generation.

SAROS9
Jun 14, 2026
SAROS impressively demonstrates why Housemarque has become one of the industry's most interesting action game studios. The developers refine their proven formula in almost every key area, creating a gaming experience that remains captivating for hours on end. The excellent combat system, rewarding progression, and outstanding technical execution form the foundation of a shooter that ranks among the best in the genre for the current console generation. While minor shortcomings regarding enemy variety and long-term engagement prevent it from achieving a perfect score, they do nothing to diminish the excellent overall impression. SAROS is not a game designed to please everyone; it demands concentration, patience, and a willingness to accept setbacks. However, those who embrace it will experience one of the most intense and mechanically compelling action titles of recent years.

My Little Puppy8
Jun 7, 2026
My Little Puppy doesn't impress with gameplay complexity or technical brilliance. Instead, the adventure focuses on what it wants to convey: a heartfelt story about love, loss, and the hope of reunion. While the occasionally imprecise controls and the limited gameplay challenge prevent it from reaching the very top of the genre, Dreamotion has nevertheless created a remarkably emotional adventure that lingers in the memory thanks to its endearing presentation, its unique charm, and its honest storytelling. Those who embrace the gentle narrative and are willing to accompany Bong-gu on his journey will experience a touching adventure that is sure to stay with animal lovers long after the credits roll.

It Reaches6
Jun 7, 2026
It Reaches is a horror game brimming with good ideas, but it rarely lives up to the promise of its concepts. The bodycam perspective initially piques interest, but its clunky execution quickly diminishes its appeal. While the game achieves some strong atmospheric moments, mediocre gameplay, technical issues, and a lackluster story prevent it from rising above mediocrity. Those looking for a quick horror adventure for an evening and who can tolerate technical shortcomings will find solid entertainment here. However, truly shocking moments or lasting memories are lacking. Ultimately, It Reaches feels like a game with many interesting ideas that never had the time or resources to fully develop them.

Mullet MadJack8
Jun 7, 2026
MULLET MADJACK impressively demonstrates that creative ideas and consistent game design are often more important than huge budgets. The shooter focuses uncompromisingly on a core gameplay mechanic and almost completely exploits its potential. The combination of fast-paced combat, an original setting, motivating progression, and exceptional presentation creates a gaming experience that clearly stands out from the competition. The roguelite elements remain relatively superficial, and the constant high-speed action can become somewhat repetitive over time. Nevertheless, the strengths clearly outweigh these drawbacks. Especially on the Nintendo Switch, the game unfolds a special charm thanks to its short, intense sessions and is perfectly suited for playing on the go. Anyone who appreciates fast-paced first-person shooters, retro anime aesthetics, and uncompromising arcade action will find one of the most interesting indie shooters of recent years here. MULLET MADJACK is not only a stylistic highlight but also a prime example of how to create a captivating gaming experience from a simple idea.

007 First Light8
Jun 7, 2026
007 First Light isn't a perfect game. The enemy AI is weak, technical issues prevent a flawless overall impression, and the gunfights don't quite reach the level of the excellent stealth mechanics. Nevertheless, IO Interactive has achieved something remarkable. The studio understands the DNA of James Bond better than many film adaptations of recent years. The gripping origin story, the flexible mission design, and the excellent espionage sequences truly make you feel like a budding 00 agent. Anyone who enjoys intelligent stealth games, thrilling spy stories, and classic Bond flair will find one of the most interesting action-adventure games of the year here. Not everything is perfect, but the direction is right – and it leaves you eager for more missions from this young James Bond.

R-Type Dimensions III9
Jun 7, 2026
R-Type Dimensions III is a prime example of what a modern remake of a classic should look like. The game retains the uncompromising challenge, strategic depth, and unique atmosphere of the original, while contemporary quality-of-life features and a comprehensive audiovisual overhaul make it more accessible to new players. The few minor technical flaws hardly detract from the overall excellent impression. Anyone wanting to experience the thrill of classic arcade shooters, or who has been part of the R-Type community for years, will find here the most compelling version yet of one of the most important shoot-'em-ups of all time. R-Type Dimensions III impressively demonstrates that excellent game design is not a matter of age.

NITRO GEN OMEGA8
Jun 4, 2026
NITRO GEN OMEGA is not a game for everyone. Those seeking quick gratification or uncomplicated game mechanics will likely be stymied by its complex systems and—at times—cumbersome learning curve. However, players who enjoy challenging tactical games and are willing to delve deeply into the mechanics will discover one of the most intriguing indie role-playing games of recent years. Its exceptional combat system, believable characters, and consistent creative vision make this title a refreshing alternative within the genre. DESTINYbit impressively demonstrates that big ideas can be far more important than big budgets. NITRO GEN OMEGA is not perfect, but it is precisely the kind of bold, distinctive game that has become all too rare in today's RPG landscape.

Outbound8
May 16, 2026
Ultimately, *Outbound* is a game that impresses less with its mechanical complexity than with its overall atmosphere. It isn't about saving the world, defeating enemies, or fighting for sheer survival. Instead, the game evokes the fantasy of a tranquil life on the road—somewhere between a camping trip, a tiny-house lifestyle, and a digital dream of dropping out of the rat race. In particular, the creative customization of your own camper provides motivation over many hours and constitutes the game's greatest appeal. However, anyone expecting a vibrant open world, demanding survival mechanics, or a deep narrative will likely hit the game's limits relatively quickly.Despite its beautiful visuals, the game world often remains too static, and many of its systems feel deliberately simplified. Nevertheless, *Outbound* achieves something that few games manage: it conveys a genuine sense of tranquility. For fans of "cozy games," relaxed base-building, and atmospheric road-trip experiences, this title is therefore absolutely worth a look—and its unique charm truly comes to life when played cooperatively with friends.

Resident Evil Requiem9
May 14, 2026
What ultimately makes *Resident Evil Requiem* so special is its ability to encapsulate the entire history of the series within a single game. The title blends the slow, paranoid horror of the classics with the dynamism of modern *Resident Evil* games, crafting one of the most atmospherically dense survival horror experiences of recent years. For longtime fans, the return to Raccoon City therefore feels like more than just nostalgia—it feels like a long-overdue reunion with the ghosts of the past. And for precisely this reason, *Resident Evil Requiem* undoubtedly ranks among the strongest entries in the entire series.

PRAGMATA8
May 14, 2026
What ultimately makes *Pragmata* so special is its distinct creative identity. The game makes no attempt to chase trends or merely rearrange familiar sci-fi tropes; instead, Capcom blends survival elements, tactical action, emotional character dynamics, and atmospheric science fiction into an experience that—despite its obvious influences—feels remarkably original. After years of uncertainty, *Pragmata* has thus emerged as one of Capcom’s boldest and most compelling projects. While modern sci-fi games often oscillate between pure action and sterile technophilia, *Pragmata* achieves something far more difficult: it marries mechanical depth with emotional intimacy, crafting an adventure that continues to resonate long after the credits roll. For fans of atmospheric sci-fi, challenging action, and intense survival elements, *Pragmata* therefore stands—without a doubt—as one of the most exciting releases of recent years.

Mario Kart World8
May 10, 2026
Despite its weaknesses, Nintendo has achieved a remarkably strong reboot for the Mario Kart series with Mario Kart World. The game meaningfully develops the familiar formula, delivers one of the best innovations in years with the Knockout Tour, and impressively demonstrates the technical capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2. While the open world doesn't yet fully realize its potential and the AI occasionally causes frustration offline, the foundation for many years of top-tier Mario Kart is already clearly evident.

Donkey Kong Bananza9
May 3, 2026
Overall, "Donkey Kong Bananza" manages the balancing act between tradition and innovation surprisingly well. The game unmistakably feels like Donkey Kong, but expands the familiar formula with a game world that invites active participation. The creative use of destruction, the vertical level design, and the clean gameplay execution create a fresh experience that still feels familiar. Minor technical flaws are hardly noticeable given the game's quality. "Donkey Kong Bananza" is a unique and bold installment in the series that demonstrates Nintendo's ability to explore new avenues even with well-known characters.

Bus Bound8
May 3, 2026
Bus Bound sees itself less as a pure simulation in the classic sense, but rather as a hybrid gaming experience that combines driving mechanics, progression, and system design. This approach makes for a more accessible, yet also more sustainably motivating, gameplay experience. Despite these strengths, the title remains firmly rooted in the niche market. Those who don't connect with simulation-like concepts will likely find little to convince them. For genre enthusiasts, however, Bus Bound offers a modern, well-thought-out evolution that particularly stands out due to its systemic design and cooperative approach.

The Coma 3: Bloodlines ist kein lauter Abschluss, sondern ein intensiver. Ein Spiel, das seine Wirkung aus Atmosphäre, Unsicherheit und psychologischer Spannung zieht. May 3, 2026
Ultimately, MotoGP26 is a game of contrasts. On the one hand, it offers an outstanding, demanding riding experience that captures the essence of motorcycle racing more intensely than ever before. On the other hand, it suffers from technical flaws, inconsistent AI, and a career mode that doesn't quite live up to its own ambitions. However, those willing to embrace the new physics and endure the necessary learning curve will be rewarded with an experience unparalleled in its intensity, excitement, and authenticity. MotoGP26 isn't a perfect game – but it comes closer than many competitors to capturing what makes motorcycle racing so fascinating: the constant tightrope walk between control and loss of control.

RENNSPORT excels where it matters most: on the track. The driving physics are robust, accessible, yet challenging – a combination rarely achieved so well in sim racing. At the same time, technical shortcomings, an underdeveloped AI, and a still limited scope prevent it from reaching the top tier. Currently, RENNSPORT is less of a finished, top-tier product and more of a promising foundation. Apr 26, 2026
Reptilian Rising is a game that impresses less with perfect balance than with its smooth gameplay. Behind the quirky premise lies an accessible and motivating tactical system that quickly captivates and provides long-lasting entertainment. Its weaknesses lie primarily in the details: a bumpy start, an unbalanced gameplay mechanic, and a story that hinders rather than enhances the experience. Nevertheless, the positive impression far outweighs the negatives. Anyone looking for an unusual strategy game with its own unique style and willing to overlook minor design flaws will find a surprisingly fun and original experience here – one that you'll often play longer than you originally intended.

Pokemon Champions7
Apr 25, 2026
Pokémon Champions is a game with a clear vision, but an unfinished execution. The battle system is compelling, the quality-of-life improvements are a real step forward, and the foundation for a long-term platform has been laid. At the same time, it lacks content, polish, and a convincing monetization and game mode structure at launch. For players already deeply immersed in the Pokémon HOME experience and specifically seeking competitive battles, it's worth taking a look now. Not all decisions will appeal to the masses – the controls, in particular, demand patience and adaptation. But therein lies the appeal: Screamer challenges its players and, in return, offers a fresh, unique driving experience. Milestone has achieved more than just a successful revival. It's a confident reinvention that demonstrates just how much innovative potential even an established genre still holds.

Apr 24, 2026
Ereban: Shadow Legacy is a game that impresses primarily with its concept. Octopath Traveler 08
Apr 20, 2026
Octopath Traveler 0 isn't a perfect game, but it's a very consistent one. It particularly shines thanks to its strong combat system, outstanding presentation, and clear focus on classic JRPG virtues. Weaknesses in the narrative structure, balancing, and new systems like city building prevent it from being a truly groundbreaking masterpiece, but only slightly detract from the overall impression. Those expecting a modern, cinematic RPG won't find it entirely here. However, those seeking a tactically demanding, atmospheric, and deliberately old-school JRPG will be rewarded with a powerful and authentic gaming experience.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined9
Apr 19, 2026
Ultimately, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined presents itself as a deliberately modernized reimagining of a classic JRPG. The streamlined structure, distinctive art style, and numerous quality-of-life improvements make the game more accessible than ever. At the same time, these adjustments result in a loss of some of the original scale and depth that made the original so special for many. For newcomers, this offers the most enjoyable way yet to experience this adventure. Apr 19, 2026
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade impresses as a technically enhanced and expanded version of an already outstanding role-playing game. The successful combination of modern presentation, a deep combat system, and an emotionally engaging story makes the game appealing to both newcomers and series veterans. Apr 12, 2026
Devil Jam presents itself as a unique, stylistically distinct roguelite with exciting system ideas and an intense core gameplay. The flexible skill system and the well-executed boss fights, in particular, leave a lasting impression. However, this is offset by a somewhat slow start to progression, an underdeveloped narrative layer, and a soundtrack that doesn't quite live up to its full potential. Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition7
Mar 22, 2026
A comprehensive, meticulously detailed retrospective of a classic, which shines primarily due to its historical value and nostalgia factor – though in terms of gameplay, it can't quite keep up with modern standards in every aspect. Technically, the collection is generally solid. The emulation of the various versions works reliably, even if minor inconsistencies and typical quirks of the respective originals remain. The user interface serves its purpose, but can feel somewhat cumbersome at times. This again highlights the fundamental philosophy of the edition: authenticity takes precedence over convenience.
