All of Pragmata is built upon a solitary idea that slowly, bit by bit gets expanded into something much more. And this is where the game truly shines - in its constant ability to reinvent itself and to put the core gameplay into whole different contexts. It's a perfect unity between a simple but fun concept and an almost perfect execution.

Pragmata has an original combat system, some smart toys and tight engineering, yet its rhythm and structure are a touch too singular. This is no mere 3D printout, but an exercise in the pristine and clinical nonetheless. [Issue#424, p.96]

PRAGMATA blends heartfelt character chemistry with innovative dual-layered combat, delivering a consistently engaging and emotionally charged experience. At times, it feels like a game revealed six years ago, but it ultimately delivers on a long-made promise.

Pragmata is a third-person shooter set on a Lunar Space station called the “Cradle”. You control Hugh, the games Protagonist and Diana, his android companion. They team up to help each other to survive and to find out what happen on the Lunar Space Station. Along the way they form a strong bond with each other and become inseparable. The player has an arsenal of guns to equip. Main character Hugh does all the gunplay and Diana handles the hacking of the enemy units. Hacking enemies make them vulnerable for follow-up attacks, or hacks. Attacking enemies out right will prove not the most effective way to defeat them. By performing a successful hack enemies are put in a open state and gunfire and follow-up hacks will cause more damage. Along with firearms Hacking nodes are used to cause different effects such as overheating, confusion and paralyze. It’s similar to casting spells that are used to attack, or inflict Status effects. Hugh and Diana have multiple weapons and hacking nodes at their disposal, but most of the equipment can be used a limited amount of times. Each zone gradually increase in difficulty with the introduction of new enemies and environmental hazards, such as, landmines that on contact will disable your hacking function for a short time. Each one of the boss encounters are a great to fight against. The bosses make the most of out of their environments to defeat you. For example, in the New York City zone the boss is a huge Kaiju robot taking advantage of the open space and all the vertical transversal throughout the level has prepared the player for this encounter. Pragmata gives players extra difficulty modes for addition challenge. These come in the form of New Game Plus, Lunatic mode and the Lunar Incident modes that will satisfy any player’s desire for a greater challenge. Game Verdict: Pragmata is a Great game. The gameplay is thrilling as one minute you are attacking and the next you are dodging or hacking and often you will do both . Pragmata is also one of the best looking games coming out this year. The lighting and shadows along with a close attention to detail to environments and particle effects. A good example would be the New York City Level where the whole level looks like the movie Inception with cars parked on the side of building and multiple L.E.D billboards. Great replay value with New game plus, Lunar Incident, and training simulation to keep players busy. You will want to play again because you will not unluck everything with one playthrough, maneuvering around enemies, hacking, and attacking is satisfying. Not to mention the controls are feel great and responsive. Pragmata has also finely tunned its difficulty for players of varies levels of skill you have casual, standard, and Lunatic difficulties The Lunar Incident mode has harder bosses and tougher training simulations for the hardcore Pragmata players. Other than a single level that only exist to push the narrative along there is no excess on this game. Pragmata is as fun and polished as an action can get this days . Action junkies and Old-school gamers a likely to enjoy this one.

This is a complete copy of God of War and Horizon! The game mechanics, combat system, and character movement animations are entirely identical to God of War. There's an AI created to help humans but later becomes an enemy, and there are robots created/taken over by this AI. This is a complete copy of the Horizon universe. Also, the game shows me video recordings of people from the past in 3D model form, which is also completely copied from Horizon. Besides all this, the game doesn't seem to have any storyline. I just fight robots, strengthen my character, and then return to the map to kill more robots. The only good thing about the game is Diana and her sweet conversations. I don't understand why this game is so popular and well-liked. I finished the game in 17 hours, and spent the last 10 hours bored and praying for it to end quickly.

Pragmata is a fun, thrilling sci-fi romp. The combat/hacking mechanic evolves the shooter genre in a refreshing way, while the tale of villainous AI, rogue 3D printers and unlikely human connection blends the horror elements with something more wholesome. This is a sleek, polished package from legendary developer Capcom that makes every minute of its to-the-point 12-hour playtime matter.

Capcom’s unstoppable streak of excellent titles continues. This time, it succeeds in a sci-fi setting, delivering stunning visuals and a deeply personal story between Hugh and Diana. Their relationship feels natural, heartfelt, and genuinely funny in all the right moments. More importantly, Pragmata achieves something truly unique, by introducing a fresh gameplay mechanic in the third-person shooter genre, seamlessly combining shooting and real-time hacking in a way that feels both innovative and satisfying.

Pragmata delivers gameplay that feels quite unique and makes strong use of it through a highly varied experience. It consistently introduces new enemies, challenges, and weapons, preventing the game from ever becoming monotonous, while placing players in environments that are both beautiful and inviting to explore. Although its story may not be its strongest aspect, it still stands as an adventure well worth playing.

Pragmata is endlessly cool, visually sharp, and a testament to the fact that Capcom is really cooking with their IP these days, old and new alike. The combat system along with the hacking gameplay are incredibly intuitive, and it's fun puzzling out each encounter to handle it most efficiently. I do think the core loop of each level is a bit basic in terms of moment-to-moment action, and the game's story, while serviceable, doesn't quite capture the emotions I think it wanted to. Regardless, at the end of the day, this is a very entertaining and impressive video game, and what's been pulled off is worthy of celebration.

Pragmata is a surprisingly great homage to late-2000s survival horror and platforming classics with enough identity and sauce to shoot for the moon.

A compact yet intricately crafted original third-person shooter. Its blend of hacking and gunplay successfully creates a unique sense of satisfaction, though it can occasionally feel a bit unfocused, leaving you wishing for greater weapon variety and more diverse combat styles. While the overall story leaves a somewhat muted impression, the lighthearted, everyday banter between the two main characters offers a charm unlike anything found in other games.

Pragmata, which takes place in the wreckage of a futuristic moon colony, is in the lineage of The Last of Us and The Walking Dead. But it doesn’t have the same emotional bond.

The game is fine and 8 hour third person shooter. I think world gets boring after a while. It seemed great but got a little repetitive at end and ultimately just okay game.

3rd time lucky? Not for me; but almost. Now here was something with potential, because their cinematic department is crack:Graphics are wonderful and mechanics an appreciated pinch inventive—not that novelty was of my object*The tutorials were comfortably-gradual as opposed to say the Nioh, reading assignment **** pairing of an adorable girl child in industrial/mech settings staves off the comparative sterility of a **** those were all smooth, well-realized if I hadn’t mentioned. It’s the long, drippy letters on store pages, the strangely purposeless question about user age when starting, the menuing which asks you to confirm your choice 3 “are-you-sure’s in etc., as well as the quite badly directed quest instruction first time you get to the DLC Shelter (which leaves you semantically unclear whether the objective will be in the Shelter or back at base); how the sensitivity of the emotional framing is mismatched to the combat harshness—even if it is relatively easy – I would be averse to see the littleRider harmed, so switched to Casual mode and restarted; here, little changed! You get one heal and do the same damage, receiving quite a lot too,: just give infinite heals and tone down the damage numbers for Casual: Be as open-handed and sympatico as the cover art and you would not have wasted a great premise and IP -
– It is still a demo, Note also, PROGRAMMING UI IS AN ART WHICH TAKES EMPATHY. You cannot hire people department·wise with only high tech-skills⁏ which are bereft of skill without understanding extraneous hurdles, contortions/ ambiguities and points of counter-intuitiveness outside of gameplay challenge-factor. Keep it simple as I thought you were going to based on the chill banter and tutorials it begins with… Why I say 3rd time unlucky is because of the 3 notable games in my book that have attempted to recreate NieR:Automata’s realizational success: Stellar Blade, AI: Limit and Pragmata all have failed. Could’ve been SO cool and made CAPCOM look SO good compared to Nintendo and Sony, which have but– vast amounts of nothing on offer since dead series Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario: Odyssey, Pokémon Emerald and Mario Kart 8 (not counting BotW, which itself was a charmingly delvable, vast amount of nothing) or gems like Spiderman 2 on PS2 or Alice: Madness Returns on the PS3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider: annoying characters and voice-acting notwithstanding (and why is Tekken’s:‘Tag Tournament” installment uniquely off stores like Emerald and Twilight Princess? neither was Tomb Raider: Legend released on Switch – they don’t reflect when having struck gold-–watermarks of casual fun). So you still have to top RE 2: Remake — with its own flaws and unmitigated annoyances like endless, arduous Mr. X chases and Ada being a ****!.
SummaryPragmata is a unique, sci-fi action-adventure game from Capcom.
