No More Heroes III4
Sep 1, 2021
A lacklustre low budget return of my favorite otaku assassin When I first heard no more heroes 3 I was excited. I loved the previous games (yes even Travis strikes again) but I knew that a new nmh had alot to live up to. Unfortunately nmh3 is a very mediocre title and doesn't hold a candle to the greatness of the first two games. Before I talk about the negatives (oh boy there's a bunch) I will talk about the positives. The art style of the previous games has been retained and improved as was to be expected for a game running on unreal engine 4. The smooth celshading especially the character models is gorgeous. The environments and drab open world.. not so much. The visual effects light up the screen and dead aliens burst with rainbow colors overall it's a pretty game aside from the open world. The sound design is great and the original voice actors return to deliver their lines which Is nice. Attacks feel and sound powerful so it's very satisfying to hammer away at foes. The combat is definitely one of the better aspects of this title. The frame rate sustains a solid enough 60fps with very few drops during combat. Only downside to combat is that battles can drag and after awhile your doing the same combos and hearing Travis name every berry known to man over and over again. Repetition sets in but atleast the combat is fun for the most part. another positive aspect of combat is the boss battles. Almost all of the bosses have their own theme and gimmick aside from two or three horrible bosses. These change the game up and some actually surprised me. The two or three that aren't particularly entertaining can be a bit of a slog you'll want to get through asap. The cutscenes are very nice and kept me entertained even though the story made no since whatsoever. Now that's all the big positives I can give for this so let's talk about the negatives. Where to begin. The thing I can't comprehend is why the developer got rid of actual stages and the 4 or 5 different beam katana that were in the first two games. It makes the repetition all the more noticeable since you have no new weapon types or combo styles to utilize. It's a huge bummer considering the first two had this yet it's missing here. Stages are gone and replaced with random battles or as there called "designated battles" which teleport you in a small arena like area with the same enemy types over and over and over again. What makes this even worse is that before you can go up against the boss you have to complete 3 of these boring battles and pay the nominal assassin fee to qualify for the boss fight. It's not too hard getting the main currency you need because the designated battles you win nets you plenty of cash to pay the fee. I hardly had to even mess with the various side jobs for coin. The next complaint I'm going to talk about is the open world. When I first saw it I thought cool it's bigger than the first but boy was I wrong! The map is split up into 5 different sections. Santa destroy being one and the other being perfect world. The other three are basically vast wastelands with activities and markers feeling the area. On in particular call of battle is awful with an ugly filter and muggy look with invisible walls galore which made navigating a pain. No love went into making this boring open world and it shows. There are some areas on the overall map that are marked in red whixh you can't access. These areas have no point whatsoever and make the game world feel unfinished. No love was out into creating this open world developer grasshopper manufacture just brought it back because fans complained it was absent in nmh2. The final complaint I will talk about is the damage output and damage sponge enemies. Now this is in my experience which I played on the hardest difficulty but my attacks felt like they weren't doing a damn thing. Enemies have way to much health and whittling down their health bars got tiresome throughout my playtime. Unlike previous games where battles felt quick and fast in this game they drag on and on and tested my patience. The combats fun but my fun drastically decreased with each overlong battle. I really wanted to like this game. I loved the previous titles and suda's other work but this is not how you return to a beloved cult classic. The missing features and repetive gameplay really drag down what could've been a great title. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. This game just did not keep me entertained. It pushed my patience to it's limit and when I finally beat it I was thankful it was over. Hopefully it will get dlc or patches that add new weapons or expansions to flesh the game out more but I'm not holding my breath. This was definitely the weakest title in the series. It had some good positives but unfortunately the negatives outweigh damn near every one of them. 4/10

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War4

This game is a trainwreck one of the worst cod games I've played. The graphics and violent grittiness the black ops series had is gone everything feels stiff and boring. The mp is nothing special or interesting in the slightest. The worst offender though is the campaign is locked behind a separate 3 part download. AnAbsolute garbage decision by Activision. Don't even bother with this cashgrab fps it's not worthy of anyone's time.

Carrion review Ever wanted to be a monster and strike fear into the hearts of unfortunate human scientists? What about ripping and tearing through an unbelievably large research facility leaving a bloodbath in your wake? Well here is your chance. Carrion is a beautiful pixelated metroidvania gem where you control a ravenous grotesque Eldritch abomination and kill your way to freedom. The developers call this a reverse horror game and I can definitely see why. The atmosphere, sound design, and soundtrack are all deeply rooted in horror. Scientists scream, panic, and run away at the site of you, praying they don't end up your meal. Too bad for them. Not everyone is afraid of you. Some will try to kill you with fire arms including flamethrowers as well as drones and even mechs. They put up a bit of a challenge but the game still leans on the easy side for the most part. The monster you control earns different abilities as you'd expect from a metroidvania style game. Some abilities include shields, a bash attack and a few others that I won't spoil. You really do feel like a killing machine in this game and the abilities are fun to use. Now I've mentioned most of the pros but as you'd expect from any game there are some issues. One of my biggest complaints is the fact that there is no map to rely on. You basically have to rely on your memory and even that can get you lost. The game doesn't give you any direction where to go at all so getting lost and going in circles is common. The length of the game is rather short as well it took me about 6 hours or so to complete and that is counting doing all the optional puzzles to get all the abilities. The controls are a tad bit too sensitive but nothing too bad. The creature moves incredibly fast and it's easy to go to the wrong part of the area but it wasn't a big issue. Replay value is pretty low since there is no new game plus or bonus features to unlock ( unless you care about playing the demo) or getting the optional abilities. Overall I really enjoyed the game. It's not perfect but it's not trying to be. It's a fun, gory at times unsettling game we rarely see. I hope developer phobia game studio make this a franchise or make more reverse horror games in the future. This unique title was a blast and I'd love to see more reverse horror style games like this. Pros: +You really feel like a monster
+beautiful pixelated Graphics
+Overall solid, fun metroidvania gameplay
+Sound design and soundtrack Cons: -no map or clear direction where to go
-relatively short with low replayability 8.5/10

I'm updating this review. Originally I gave it a 9 and praised the weather and graphics. After playing for around 10 hours and realizing all the game's ****'s a complete mess. Graphics and textures are horrible, pop in is atrocious, there are unfinished textures and environmental features. The motion blur is also horrendous and makes it hard to focus. The weather is not random it's on a predetermined path and always repeats the same cycle. It is not dynamic or random so the devs lied on that. The game can still be good fun but it has way too many issues and I can't recommend it unless it gets fixed. It's saddening to say that this was the most disappointing game I've played all year. I wanted to love this game but it's an ugly, unfinished, and buggy mess **** in it's current state. If it gets patched I will update it but if not this is my final score. Tl;dr graphics are garbage, game can be fun but is a disappointing mess. 3/10

This game was a surprise to me. It was actually damn good. The open world setting reminded me of silent Hill and the amount of creepy and unexpected moments in the game such as an optional area where i broke into a woman's house just to get ambushed and thrown out when I tried to leave because i broke into her house. another moment had me enter a building with nothing in it whatsoever but weird writing on the walls then once I left I entered a nightmare with giant eyeballs following my movement. Or a creepy ass apartment that is infested...with giant spiders! It's random things like this that are amazing to experience in a horror game. I'm glad I got this one

I loved the first game, it was one of my fav indies as well as my fav co op game. The sequel adds way more levels and way more content while retaining the original solid gameplay with an added throw mechanic that is very useful. Game is great fun especially if you have someone to couch co op it. A fantastic sequel and game. Only complaint i have is the gsme is too short and the final stage wasnt as intense as the first games. That aside if you like fun chaotic co op games i highly recommend this. If you are already a fan this one is definitely a no brainer. 9/10

I feel like i need to rereview this game. My first playthrough resulted in a gamebreaking glitch thst prevented me from progressing. However after reinstalling the game and starting over with the latest patch it has been fixed. I was finally able to progress and see all of what vampyr had to offer and... It's truly great. The world building, characters, and story are all amazing and very well developed especially the npcs. Everyone has a story and i didnt want to see any of them die. Im trying to save everyone i can and it feels rewarding when you heal injuries and illnesses and keep your region healthy. The combat grew on me. The more abilities you get the more fun the combat gets. It reminds me alot of bloodborne and the vampiric abilities are awesome and fun as hell to use. The rpg systems and choice based gameplay result in a great experience. You have to live with your choices and accept any consequences that may arise. The lore in the game is very detailed and interesting. Overall i just really enjoyed it and glad i gave it a second chance. It's definitely a hidden gem and my fav vampire game. I hope dontnod turns this game into a series because this is a great show of their passion and attention to detail. Well done dontnod. I think it was worth the $60 i spent. 9/10

Update: just beat the game and i loved every second of it. The ending was intense and satisfying and had my heart racing. Incredible experience. This game surprised me. This is by far cage's best and most consistent game yet. It still has that dumb goofy charm all his games are known for bit the story is more focused and detailed than past games. The flow chart is brilliant and they're are so many different choices and scenarios to uncover. I can't wait to get back to it! Well worth the time and money. Quantic dream are getting better at making these interactive experiences and unlike beyond two souls, they give you plenty of choice and consequences. Highly recommend playing if you like these kind of games.

A way out review An emotional story driven co op adventure that breaks new ground for splitscreen gameplay. This game must be played with a friend as there is no Single player but after playing the game i see why. The only way this game could work is with co op with a real person. Without spoilers an ai just wouldn't be capable of doing so also the game is immensely fun. Lasting around 6 hours and warranting multiple playrhroughs the game is a great value for your money, next to brothers this is one of my fav games of all time. The gameplay is fun and rarely ever repetive. The graphics are great for an indie and the story is well written and paced. I came to love the characters and even felt genuinely depressed at some points in the game. Quite an emotional tale is told here which i won't spoil. There are some issues such as bugs and occasional freezes and the story feels kinda short but these are small issues in an otherwise phenomenal game. Overall it's one of the best co op experiences out there as well as one of the best games I've played. I hope Josef fares continues to make indie masterpieces such as this and brothers. He and his team are great designers and we need more games like these. Well worth the price. 9.5/10

Syndrome review Want to play a rip off of dead space and system shock with bad controls, terrible design decisions, horrid animation, and boring gameplay? Than look no further than syndrome. This game is BAD and at it's asking price it is a complete and utter rip off. Syndrome has terrible controls, graphics. And animation. There is also way too much backtracking through the same looking interiors, but that's not all. The game has boring pacing, story, and even enemies. The biggest problem is the game is way too dark and there isn't a gamma setting so you are basically stuck with your flashlight as your only means of brightness and when that finally runs out...hello darkness. It's just a horribly designed game. Don't waste your money on this like i did. You're better off playing dead space or even system shock than this mess. 1/10

Hollow (2017)7
Mar 1, 2018
A couple months back EA shutdown visceral games the developers of dead space. This angered me deeply as I loved dead space and consider it among my favorite horror series of all time. I've been looking trying to find a game to fill the void since dead space is in limbo... I stumbled on this game which prided itself as a space survival horror game similar to alien isolation, dead space, and even movies like pandorum and event horizon. The trailer looked very spooky and oozed atmosphere and any fan of the game could draw comparisons from this and dead space. Could hollow be a good take on sci-fi survival horror to satisfy fans of visceral game's horror masterpiece. Or is the game rather ahem...hollow. Let's find out Graphics: the graphics are pretty good for a pc port on the switch. Chromatic aberration and lens flare are used to good effect even though at times it can obscure your view especially during hallucinations. But it isn't anything game breaking. Playing undocked does seem to tone it down some. Textures are nice when not viewed too closely. The only exception would be the pasty faces on some characters and muddy facial textures. The space station the game takes place on is full of creepy atmosphere and detailed interiors, though they do look a bit same-y after awhile. There are multiple parts to the station which add some variety to the scenery which is nice. The monster designs are creepy and unique looking. They look crossed between necromorphs and mannequins, which i found delightfully horrifying. The enemy variety is decent for an indie game such as this but you do see a couple of the same looking enemies at The beginning which get progressively more grotesque which helps alleviate some repetition. The lighting is a little to bright for my liking even with gamma settings adjusted and shadows are almost nonexistent which I find very odd for a horror game.Overall graphics are pretty nice. other than the lighting and shadow effects, No real complaints there. Story: the story, as with most horror games, is very cryptic. The story gets some answers later on but it leaves with more questions than answers. The story starts with you, a pilot crash lands at the space station known as shahkter one. The ship is abandoned though audio logs and warning sirens hint something terrible has happened. Monsters infest the ship and the pilot is looking for someone. I won't go into further details on fear of spoiling the story. It has psychological horror and themes of fear of commitment as well as abandonment. It's a pretty good story but it feels unfinished, which makes sense as the end credits heavily tease a sequel. Still it is kind of a letdown to be left with so many questions and the cliffhanger ending doesn't help either. It's just unfinished but it is interesting. Gameplay: this is a fps survival exploration game. It start off rather slow but when you find your first weapon it picks up as well as the threat. The shooting controls are fine though you are going to want to turn the control sensitivity up as the character moves very slow and slow reactions can lead to death. Speaking of death there are some parts in the game that will try to ambush you and end your life fast. Which can be especially annoying if you don't use the save system and have to repeat difficult sections over and over. On "hard" difficulty the game takes a page from old survival horror games and requires you find floppy disks throughout the ship so you can save your game. Run out and you'll be out of luck so be sure to use them wisely as they are very few and strangely missing in later parts. I recommend playing on normal as you can save to your heart's content no floppy disks needed. The reason being a later section in the game spikes and can cause you to start back at an earlier inconvenient point which happened to me and led to massive frustration. Puzzles are decent though a bit cryptic but nothing too difficult. Decent gameplay that works all around. Sound: sound is ok. The monsters and sound effects are good, voice acting is hit or miss but not too bad. Music is good and creepy and but at times you can hear it loop. Decent sound and good music throughout. Lasting appeal: this is where my main criticism **** length and replay value. I'm not a fan of short games but if they are fun and exciting to play I let it slide sometimes... Hollow puts me in a difficult spot. It's not a bad game by any means and it is fun despite some issues like the save system and difficulty spikes, but it is a short experience. It took me about 3 hours to finish the game although i didn't find all collectible nude photos (yes there are pics and idk why). There isn't any reason to play again unless you want to find all the pics and collectibles or try out hard difficulty but that's it. The length is the biggest problem i have with this game. Hollow is a good horror game that takes huge inspiration

Metal Gear Survive3
Feb 28, 2018
Metal gear survive review: Believe the hate this game is BAD the game no one asked for has finally released and it's a boring game with elements that we've seen before in better games. It's just not fun to play. Graphics: with a powerful engine at their disposal you'd think the game would at Least look as good if not better than ****'d be wrong. The textures are bland and blurry, antialiaisng is a mess, and everything looks glossed over looking very plain and just unappealing to look at. Cutscenes are ok with some good camera angles but they pale in comparison to mgs5. Pretty disappointing graphics and effects. Story: the story tries to be deep and serious but it just comes off as cheesy and boring. Nothing that happened was interesting and I found myself eantintvto skip the boring scenes with these unappealing characters. Uninteresting story overall. Gameplay: it works... But it's just so damn boring. Everything you so in this game has been done in better games. Base building, weapon crafting, survival this and hunger elements, have all been seen before over and over again. In this game however they just drag down the experience and don't add anything new or exciting. Killing zombies isn't even that fun because their ai is stupid and they pose little threat. The gameplay works it's just tedious and boring Sound: some of the voicework is decent but the two ai bot voices are so monotone and slow it almost put me to sleep. Music is ok if forgettable and sound effects are decent. The worst is defintely the ai voicework though. Lasting appeal: if you like tedious and boring grinding than their is some content here but most people will be too frustrated and bored to even bother with this game Overall it's just not fun to play. Everything works and their aren't any technical issues but if it's a chore to play then what's the point? That's the games main problem not that it feels like a cheap cash grab on metal gear, not that it has where you have to pay $10 for extra save slots. No, it's the fact that the game is so damn boring and tedious to play. 3/10

Past Cure4
Feb 23, 2018
Past cure review "Well i beat the game and it as Probablly one of the most underwhelming disappointing games I've ever played and i have played ALOT of games. It's not bad per se just very generic and kind of a slog to get through and It's not even that long either. When you beat it you will more Likely be confused and disappointed. Graphics: the graphics are decent a little plain looking but not horrible. Characters model look ok aside from the very few enemy variety. Some muddy textures and screen tearing here and there but far from the worst thing about this game Sound: ok the guns and sound effects are pretty good, music is ok if forgettable. The voice acting however is atrocious. I swear at times it sounds like voice actors spoke lines through an old telephone or old communicator it sounds horrible. The voice acting for the characters is also quite bad and there are no emotions in the voices. Story: the story makes no **** sense. Nothing gets explained, it's so full of plotholes and throwaway characters. Nothing feels important and when things try to get interesting the writing and dialogue just pull you out of the experience. Terrible story overall Gameplay: it's ok and works but it's generic and clunky. Headshots don't connect all the time and enemies can feel bullet spongy. The ai is spotty mostly dumb with the occasional "all seeing eye" here and there. The game is broken up into parts 3rd person shooter/stealth and part survival horror/puzzle The shooter/stealth parts are generic and kind of boring especially the damn car park level where everything looks the same. You can use stealth, sneak attack enemies, shoot/melee your way through levels or use your astral projection to disable cameras and stealth through levels but going guns blazing works too (except one level where you have to use stealth or be auto failed over and over). The survival horror part is the best in the game but it's over too soon and avoiding enemies is incredibly easy especially with the time manipulation ability. Though there aren't many,Puzzles are generic and easy but not bad. Performance: very poor. The game crashed on me multiple times especially near the end where i had to restart boss battles or difficult stealth sections which really pissed me off and took me out of the game. I even got stuck on random objects in the level which i had to restart, but the worse part is defintely the crashes. Some framerate drops here and there but nothing too bad surprisngly. Overall very poor performance. I know it's an indie but there is no reason for the game to have this many problems in performance. Maybe the developers can remedy these in a patch but i doub't they care enough despite the closing comment before the credits. Conclusion: this game really disappointed me. I really wanted to like it because of it's cool concept but the performance problems, generic gameplay, boring level design, annoying stealth section and short length prevent it from being as good as trailers made it seem. It's not the worst game I ever played or even one of the worst but it's far from good and I can't recommend it because of these major faults. I commend the developers for trying but it just didn't work out. What we're left is with a generic badly written action horror game that is a chore to play through and not worth the $29.99 asking price. Hopefully the developers learn from their mistakes if they decide to make a sequel or a whole other ip. 4/10 TL;DR A generic game that is badly written, performs terribly, and just isn't fun to play. It has good ideas and a nice concept but lackluster gameplay and short length add to the myriad of problems past cure has, not recommended.

Dynasty Warriors 99
Feb 14, 2018
An open world musou Let me start off this review by saying I am not a fan of dynasty warriors. They've never interested me, aside from the spin offs like the berserk and open piece musou style games. This new entry dynasty warriors 9 however is a whole different story. When i first heard that the next game in the series was going to be an open world game my interest peaked. I thought a dynasty warriors in an open world setting would be new and exciting and boy was i right. I Don't get all the hate around this game. The open world is big and fun to explore though a bit empty and barren but i still like it, battles feel more intense as they happen in this big world instead of the small level or mission design of previous titles. The character roster is huge with 90 characters playable all with their own set of weapons, moves and upgrades. These characters are unlocked over the course of the game across various factions and roaming around as each one of them could add even more hours of gameplay. The graphics are decent as the game can look really great at times and i haven't had any big framerate drops or bugs that some have been having. Character designs are top notch each one looks very unique and of the era. Textures could use some work but the game looks pretty good as a whole. Overall I'm enjoying it i think omega force did a great job bringing this stagnant series to the open world genre. It being their first attempt at an open world musou, i believe they can improve upon alot of criticisms in future titles I hope to see more titles approached this way. Don't believe all the hate and negativity surrounding this title. It may be different than past musou games but i think it's all the better for it especially when it tries new things, and for the most part it succeeds. It's a very fun game with tons of content and hours upon hours of gameplay. If you have any interest in an open world style musou game i say give it a shot you may be as surprised and impressed as i was. 9.5/10

A masterpiece reborn Ever since i heard shadow of The colossus was getting a remake i was overjoyed. I've played it on ps2, loved the remaster and now im able to play the remake of one the best action titles ever created. I couldn't be happier that this remake **** graphics, sound, everything has been remade running on a brand new game engine entirely. The colosi and environments have been overloaded with amazing detail and the world feels very alive despite the quieting emptiness of it. With detailed texture work and lighting this game looks absolutely gorgeous. It's also butter smooth hardly ever dropping frames even when giant colossi are thrashing about. The story has been left untouched retaining the same emotional journey the original offered. No new colosi or extra story but Everything else however has been improved to the MAX. Bluepoint games did a phenomenal job of remaking this classic. ID even go as far to say this surpasses the original and is one of if not the best game remakes ever created. A masterpiece has been made even better i can't wait to see what bluepoint games does next. Absolutely incredible job. 10/10

From the intro i knew i was going to get a great experience. The music, graphics, dialogue, film grain all bring back the 1930s cartoons in glorious fashion. This is a complete love letter **** and as someone who grew up with older cartoons it hits that perfect stride feeling classic and new at the same time. But what's most important is the gameplay which is solid and addictive. Gameplay: The game is basically a sidescroller 2D shooter platformer with a heavy emphasis on boss battles. Each boss has different phases to keep each fight feeling fresh and unique. It's also brutally difficult but rarely feels unfair. Expect to die a lot because 3 hits you're dead and have to start over the stage (unless you get health upgrades from the shop that is). There are also tons of upgrades and powers you can acquire from the shops in the game. The game also offers local co op and i know people are going to love that feature as you can team up with a buddy and take on the challenge together. It has a world map where you choose what level you want to play, boss to take on or upgrades to buy at the shops. Once you select a level you'll be platforming and shooting through the gorgeous levels... And the bosses, can't forget the bosses. The boss battles are some of the most unique challenging monstrosities I've ever faced in a side scroller. They require patience and timing to avoid their attacks and claim victory. They also feel totally different from each other so no two bosses are alike or rehashed. The game rewards patience and near perfect reaction, the feeling of taking down these bosses is akin to beating a boss in dark souls maybe even better. Music and sound design: The music in this game is fantastic. From the starting intro to the credits, it definitely feels like a timewarp back to the 1930s. The sound effects too all sound like they were ripped out of old cartoons you can just tell that the developers harbor a deep love for the old cartoons most of us grew up with. In fact there are over 50 songs and they are all great, the upbeat and at times chaotic jazz just fits right in. I especially like the intro song sung by a good ol barbershop quartet. Overall conclusion: Overall this game is just fantastic probably one of my favorite Indies to release this generation (next to ruiner and hellblade) the developer studio mdhr put time and love into this game and every bit of it is oozing with unique charm. It's a true masterpiece and I highly recommend this game it's even better than watching an old cartoon, now you can actually play one! 10/10

Agents of Mayhem9
Aug 22, 2017
Volition the creators of saints row have created another highly addicting over the top fun explosive and at times stupid adventure. It's brimming with personality, flair, and attitude....I love it. Agents of mayhem is an open world 3rd person shooter with 12 (13 or 14 if you preordered) agents all with their own weapons, abilities, super moves, and personalities. Each one unique in their own way and every one of them fun as hell to play. Some are better than others but they are all a great cast with their own Set of abilities and upgrades. It can even be a bit overwhelming at first as there are so many different upgrades for not only the agents but the agency hub where you choose what missions or side quests, customize your gear and car, agents, legion tech, and dispensable gremlin tech which can get over the top causing snowballs to rain down on foes slowing and freezing them or lasers shooting down destroying anything in their path. The destruction and effects are absolutely stunning. Fire, energy particles, smoke, implosions all look amazing I never tire of blowing stuff up just for the gorgeous effects. The graphics are like a Saturday morning cartoon (a violent and r rated one mind you) come to life. The cutscenes also are well done and animated bringing that cartoon feel to life. The gameplay can get a tad repetive and sidequests aren't all that interesting but the main missions and agent missions (basically backstory missions for the agents) are all fun and more interesting than the filler side quests like take this outpost, save this civilian activities. The gameplay is highly addicting and can get challenging as hell if you up the difficulty, which there are 15 btw all awarding more cash and experience the higher you go. The open world is beautiful and lively with npcs littering the streets and freaking out when hell breaks loose. Its a great setting and a fun place to run about causing mayhem Overall its just a fun game. It doesn't take itself too seriously it can even be stupid at times but it has so much heart, personality, customization and content to definitely warrant a purchase at the very least a rent. I had a great time with the agents and their brand of justice and i hope to see more of them in the future 9/10

Blade & Bones0
Aug 10, 2017
I hardly regret buying games. The only ones i can remember regretting recently are no man's sky and blade & bones... Especially this steaming pile of **** This is without a doubt the worst most infuriating game I've ever played in my life. I Don't even want to compare it to dark souls, (though it obviously tries to be) because dark souls at least works and the combat isn't complete garbage. In this game everything is clunky and the fighting is almost impossible because enemies do so much damage and sometimes your attacks won't even connect. Fighting more than one enemy is a death sentwnce The dodging is pretty much useless there are no invincibility windows like souls and bloodborne. There is no sense of progression no leveling up even killing enemies doesn't give you anything but shards to repair your sword when it breaks. The swords all **** ass btw, relics are also useless except maybe the revolver. On top or these issues there are severe clipping and frame rate drops all over the place. The main character's scarf will clip through his body and the scarf physics and clothing on characters are so **** they look like a cheap fabric just glues to their body. I could go on and on about how bad this game is but I'm sure you get the **** only good thing about this game is the concept and some bosses look cool but the execution of it all is piss poor...AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE 1/10 TL;DR Combat, music, world, graphics, glitches, **** ALL COMPLETE GARBAGE!! Closing comment: **** this game seriously and **** the cheap ass developers for putting this abomination on psn...that is all have a nice day and avoid this game

One of the best indie games ive ever played. A deeply emotional and beautifully told story, some of the best fighting animations ive seen in a game, phenomenal art direction, and amazing atmosphere and setting. I still cant believe it was only $30. I highly recommend it if you love games that can be more than just fun experiences...a true work of art and i hope to see more indie developers learn from ninja theory's successful project. 9/10

Get Even9
Jun 24, 2017
Get even review What is real? That's the game's tagline and it permeates throughout the game. Going through memories, exploring the past you never know what to expect. This is psychological thriller at its finest. The game has some slight horror themes and creepy atmosphere but it is not a horror game. It actually is a multitude of genres. Part adventure, puzzle solving, fps it does all these very well and tells an amazing story as well. In fact this game is heavily focused on story that some of the gameplay seems like an afterthought but that doesnt mean it isn't fun to play. The shooting mechanics are nothing new or exciting but some of the weapons like the corner gun are fun if a tad bit difficult to use at times. The graphics while not the best still look pretty good. It isn't a triple AAA game by any means but it looks decent and has some cool particle effects and visual effects at time. The sound design however is a huge plus. The sounds from footsteps to the sound of guns are all great and sound heavy. The music is also one of the best things about the game. It's a great soundtrack and just fit so well with the game. There is even a track that follows the characters loud breathing and one that follows wit a ticking clock. It's just so unique and sounds wonderful. The length of the game is good as well. It took me around 9 hours or so to reach the credits but I still don't know the full story as there is a ton of documents and items to find to fill in the blanks. A little plus I liked is once you find all the clues in a memory, you unlock a code which you can then enter the same memory and find an optional door that unlocks more back story and even new guns for your "mind palace" the mind palace is alittlw hub of information on the memories you've been to and your gun locker. It's a neat little place an reminds me of Sherlock. The best thing in this game though, aside from the Excellent soundtrack (seriously it's that good!) Is the story. It has so many moments where youll be confused, sad, angry and just what the hell is going on. O don't want to say to much about it because this game is super easy to spoil. Just know that it's worth experiencing. There are a few issues like dumb ai and muddy textures bit overall no real complaints Im so glad this game was worth the wait and you can see how much detail and complexity the story offers. It's a great little game and again it's not a AAA title. It's actually half the price of a full game at $29.99. it's well worth the money and time just to experience something different and unique. I highly recommend this one as it offers one of if not the best story in an fps, an amazing soundtrack and lengthy experience. 9/10

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 32
Jun 5, 2017
Sniper ghost warrior 3 review Completely misses the mark They say 3rd times the charm. Well not in this case. This whole game is a complete mess. It saddens me because I was really looking forward to this game but after playing it I'm so glad I chose not to purchase it. There are just way too many issues with this game. The AI is inconsistent, loading times are terribly long (can take up to 5 minutes or more to load into the game) low textures and texture pop in all through out the game, bland graphics (the first two look way better) bad draw distance, empty world, laughably bad crafting and looting elements, terrible parkour even the gunplay can be a chore. it's just a complete mess ****. It feels like it should've been an early access title. It kind of reminds me of homefront the revolution. That game was near broken and terrible buggy at launch but later it got fixed up where it actually became fun and playable. I hope sniper ends up getting fixed up but even then it still would be a pretty mediocre game. Right now it's just a bad disappointing game. I can't recommend going to buy it especially not at $60. I can't really recommend it at all. Maybe if the developers work on fixing it's issues It could become better. Right now though it's just a bad game. 2/10

First off I have no idea why people are giving this bad reviews. What do you have bad taste in horror games or something? Resident evil has finally returned to its horror roots and it ends up being one of if not the best game in the series. It's scary, intense amd has some of the best scenes I've ever seen in a horror game. The atmosphere and graphics sell you on the dread and creepiness of your locales and the switch to first person works fantastically. I won't spoil any of the events just know that this is a amazing horror experience and is the change RE needed. I highly recommend this horror masterpiece. Enjoy your return to true horror and welcome to the family

I grew up playing Mario so when I originally heard it was getting a mobile runner style game i was excited. However after playing it and seeing that basically the game playa itself and how you only get to play 3 levels before the game locks you out and insists you pay $10 for only six worlds, I instantly deleted it. It's a joke Nintendo wants you to pay $10 for a freaking runner game when so many other food runners are free! This game isn't worth $10 and if you pay that just to play a runner you are just wasting money honestly. Like I said I love Mario but this runner game is a cruel joke by Nintendo that I'm not buying and you shouldn't either.

I loved the first watch dogs tbough i admit it had problems. This game however in the little time ive played seems to ja e fixed all those problems while adding so much more. Haven't played much of the story because I've been lost in the open world. I haven't been this excited since gta 5 when i just fooled around mostly instead of doing the missions. Just interacting with the realistic pedestrians and causing havoc is so much fun. This game blew my expectations away and is definitely one of the best open world games I've ever played. It was worth the wait and the pre-order. This is a quick review since i haven't gotten far but i can say for a fact this game is GOOD, i highly recommend it now if you'll excuse me im going to get lost again in san franciso!

Want to play the most disappointing cod game since ghosts? Well you're in luck. This game is a huge disappointment with the campaign and zombies being the only reason to play **** and MWR because that's awesome. The multiplayer is so buggy and basically a rehashed version of black ops 3 right down to the special ability, boosting, and wallrunning. Black ops 3 atleast had a unique approach to it and felt original for a cod game. This game however just takes that and combines it with inaccurate and pretty weak weapons, spotty hit detection, and unoriginality. If you buy this game for the multiplayer you are wasting your time it's not fun and definitely not worth a buy. Onto the campaign which is actually really good and opens up to where you can even do side missions. The story is good too with some likeable characters and enemy. The campaign i where the game truly innovates instead of rehash the same stuff we see over and over. Zombies is good as ever having a nice 80s vibe to it and very detailed zombie survival gameplay i can see atleast the campaign and zombies was handled with care but the multiplayer is just awful plain and simple. I recommend atleast a rental like i did it's definitely not worth full price but the story and zombies deserves to be experienced. MWR is a great addition but it's just not worth this disappointing baggage with it. The remaster is beautiful and almost qualifies as a remake. The mp in MWR is fun and harkena back to the good ol days where cod was on top now with the latest release it's on a huge decline and ends up being the most disappointing release since cod ghosts. 4/10

Deus ex mankind divided review: Just as amazing as the prequel. Great fps/rpg that takes everything that made the first one great and improved on it. I enjoyed human revolution's story better but this game still has a great story tht **** you in. The graphics are fantastic and the animation top notch. Only downside is the map that still won't let you set waypoints and a lack of things to do in the big city of Prague although there are side missions. The side missions are fantastic as well to hunting down a killer to breaking into a bank, the side missions are fun and actually unique unlike so many other side quests in rpgs. Overall i really enjoyed it and recommend it to fans of human revolution or a good cyberpunk rpg fps it's a great time. 9/10

Don't let some reviews fool you this game is very tedious and even boring at times on top that it is plagued with glitches and bugs. Matchmaking is also very bad and you'll be waiting up to 30 minutes to get into a match. The only way you can kill people is hanging them on a hook so don't think you can hack and slash a person to death. It really isn't a good game although sometimes it can get intense trying to stay alive but playing as the killer isn't very fun and you'll probablly want to play survivor the **** recommend maybe trying it but don't buy it its not worth the budget price either 4.5/10

There has been a lot of hate on this game and after playing it for hours on end I have to say it's not that bad people. It's actually very fun and addicting and I like the story and characters. Also it's open world which is a big plus. People hating on this game either haven't played it or are just plain too damn judgemental. It's not perfect by any means but it deserves some credit after all it's been through a very long and troubled development and I'm glad it still pulled through. Most of the issues like freezing, stuttering and clunky movement can be fixed with patches none of the issues however are game breaking. So overall give it a chance it has some brilliant ideas and fun gameplay. It won't win awards but it's at the very least worth a rental it's a good game and I've had a great time with it.

Quantum Break8
Apr 12, 2016
Quantum break review: Time is ending and its up to jack Joyce and his superpowers to save the world and prevent the end of time. After years of delays and little gameplay quantum break's time has finally come and though I can't see it as being a system seller or worth the wait, it still is an entirely enthralling game with some great ideas and a stellar tv show entertwined with a solid and enjoyable third person scifi shooter. The story here is fantastic and reminded me a lot of life is strange meets jason Bourne and is thoroughly gripping and immersive. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the Xbox one and the effects are phenomenal. The story is confusing at first but starts to make a lot more sense with each Playthrough which is a good thing because everytime I played I learned something new that I didn't catch my first time around. The story also changes but it all leads to the same confusion. You see, this game is a strange one as you get to play the hero, Jack Joyce as he shoots his way to the truth and the villain, who I won't spoil, chooses what to do with loose ends and such. It's entirely up to the player to decide what the bad guy decides and the story changes depending on your choices, which alters what happens in the tv show. Yes there is a show in the game which is actually pretty good and focuses more on the evil monarch corporation. Each episode of the show is thirty minutes and there are four episodes throughout the game. The only complaint I have here really is the limited gameplay. Not counting the tv episodes, the game took me about 5 or 6 hours to complete. The show equals together about 2 hours altogether. It's a pretty short game and as good and fun as it can be its just not worth the $60 asking price. Don't get me wrong it's a GREAT game and I hope it becomes a potential new series for remedy to work with but it just doesn't have much lasting appeal. I rate this game an 8/10. It's a fantastic experience but one that is short lived.

I love deadpool I own the 360 version in fact however I HATE this game. It's terrible it's not remastered it's straight pc port. It's only a quick cash grab activision hopes to con off unsuspecting fans before the backwards compatibility offers more titles. This is a terrible port every 30 seconds or so the game will freeze for a second even when nothing is going on. It will do this twice every minute! I simply couldn't put up with it and I don't understand how anyone could. Just buy the pc or last gen version if you want to play it. This is a terrible cash grab port that runs horribly. Typical activision don't buy this garbage. You'll regret it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III9
Nov 16, 2015
Call of duty black ops 3 review: Another year, another call of duty game. Now before you sigh or scoff at that statement, let me say this. Yes it's a call of duty game one of the most popular and hated series of all time. But here is the thing... It's actually pretty good. I've been with cod ever since the beginning and the series has changed a lot while still remaining the same. It's a paradox it feels new and inventive in some places but it still feels like it's stuck in the past. Despite that statement it actually is a very fun game and I had a blast with it and it's one of the best games in the series. Story: ok here is where I had the biggest complaint. The story is very weird and crazy even for cod standards. There are twists and slit of surreal stuff that I won't spoil but for me the story was just all over the damn place. Playing through the campaign is still fun at times because it is the most in depth campaign cod has ever done. You can make a character, customize said character and outfit them with all sorts of guns and even cyber core abilities that you can activate once a meter fills up. I got to say the cyber core abilities are some of the best fun I've ever had with a cod campaign. There are plenty of different abilities like summoning nanobots to assault your enemies or taking control of robots and drones. It really let's you play the way you want. Even though the story will probably confuse the hell out of you it's interesting to say the least and the solid gameplay and action will keep you going though towards the end it tends to drag but if you want the whole story you'll have to do some research, that is if you want a full understanding of the confusingly bizarre story. Overall it was fun at times and enough to keep me going through. Also when you beat the main campaign you get a bonus second campaign but with a zombie spin on the same campaign missions. It's pretty cool and I'm glad it is there. I hope other developers of this series implement bonus campaigns it's a huge bonus. Zombies: As with the rest of treyarch's cod games zombies makes a return and it's glorious. Taking place in the 1940s morg city, four unlucky characters get to face off with the undead and some monsters that look like they came from the doom series. It's standard survival fare except way more vast and improved in every way. I'm going to be honest, I've never been good at zombies or finding the items you need to beat it but I can say it's very smart and you have to know what you are doing. That being said I haven't the faintest idea what to do but the more you play the more you'll understand. It's still a blast to play especially online with friends. Dead ops arcade is also back though I don't have a clue how to access it so I can't really say how good it is. Overall a great zombies offering that is always welcome. Multiplayer: unlike myself, there are a lot of people who get these games solely for multiplayer or the aforementioned zombies. And I can see why Atleast for this iteration in the series. Black ops 3 multiplayer is fun as hell and the most vast mp offering the series has ever had. Players don't get to create their own character like previous games, they get to choose one of 9 specialists each with their two special abilities that can be unlocked. These abilities are great and fun to use and can really help less skillful players. You can customize your specialists by leveling up and there is always that incentive of wanting to unlock the next specialist or get points to unlock weapons and abilities. It's also nicely balanced each ability has it's advantages and disadvantages and knowing when to use them is key. The free running, wall running and boosting all feel smooth and control well. Running on a wall and jumping off to shoot someone is exhilarating. Everything about the multiplayer is done extremely well and I feel fans of black ops 2 will really enjoy this one. Verdict: Call of duty black ops 3 offers a lot of content and maybe more in the season pass but even without that you are left with a very fun crazy and solid shooter that definitely moves cod as a series forward. The main reason I would say this game is a buy for me is the amount of content in this package. You get two campaigns, zombies, dead ops arcade, and multiplayer. It's impressive because no other cod had this much content. Black ops 3 is a wild ride and it's definitely one of my fav games in the Call of duty series. Well done treyarch. 9/10

Thai is a great fun addicting game that I encourage fans of transformers and platinum games to atleast try. It runs very smooth, is gorgeous to look at and I haven't seen any glitches. The action is intense and so far I like the story and the combat. It definitely is a platinum game's game and is full of content from challenge modes to 5 different playable characters and deep customization options. The only downside to this game that really bugs me is that you can't play as the deceptions which really **** but it's possible there Will be dlc so we'll have to wait and see. This may be the most superbly written scifi horror game in history. I don't want to spoil it because it's a wild ride and deserves to be experienced first hand. The game is also very fun to play and beautiful to look at. The monster encounters for the most part are scary and horrific looking and provide plenty of scares and tense encounters or chases. The ai is smart and will react to noise or if items are thrown or knocked over. The game can be hard at times especially getting lost and some of the puzzles are delightfully ingenious but they are still fun. The game will make you think about your very existence and question what it means to be human similar to the system shock series. The story is amazing and very well told and paced. Everything you do in this game makes sense wether you are gathering supplies to power a super suit or finding data chips and transferring simulations on to it. I haven't seen collectibles or items done this well in a while. The only complaints I really have are that the game has crashed on me a few times and once I fell through the map also the load times are pretty long but nothing game breaking. Overall Frictional games have really outdone themselves and created a brilliant smart horrific and beautiful horror game. I highly recommend this to any horror fan.

Oh what a lovely game! The graphics are gorgeous, the lighting is fantastic, the hand to hand combat is brutally satisfying and fun, the car combat is addictive and challenging at times and the fact that you can literally go anywhere is AMAZING. I literally spent most of my time driving around the wasteland and taking in the sites. Also there are no borders or invisible walls in this game. The outter boundaries are called the big nothing and it's full of sandstorms and tornadoes that can kill you in seconds. It's so fun to mess around in the wasteland even though the stories is paper thin the customization of max and the magnum opus are vast and full of variety. Some of the side missions can become repetitive but all and all this is an amazing game that I highly recommend. Welcome to the wasteland

Glad to see this game has done well and people love it. Maybe the sales will be good enough to spawn a sequel or more games like this. I loved heavy rain and beyond two souls and I knew what I was getting into when I got this game unlike some ppl who just pick it up without any knowledge. The game itself is fantastic and I haven't beat it yet but the story, characters, and graphics are top tier. Even though this game pays homage to 90s horror I took it way more seriously and unlike most horror movies, actually cared for the characters. The choices in this, much like telltale's series of games, actually matter here. You choose who will live and die it's entirely up to the player. You are director in this horror movie and can change the plot on a whim. Some choices won't show up till later but when **** hits the fan it hits HARD. I think all horror fans who grew up loving cheesy 90s cliche horror will LOVE this game and it deserves it. We need more games like these out there and supermassive with their impressive beautiful talent at creating tension, dread, death and beauty in this world of consequence, need to seriously make horror games in the future. The only downside I had was the length, it seemed short to me but is replay able since you won't understand the full story being told on the first play through. Supermassive have a sleeper hit on their hands and now that the game is out it's time to revel in this magnificent horror experience 9.5/10

This game is EXTREMELY disappointing. The main story is good fun and the batmobile is awesome although sluggish. The reason why this game is such a damn letdown is because the lack of any challenge maps. Instead we get AR challenge maps which aren't the same by a long shot and there are only about 9 of them I believe. The preorder dlc is another lackluster addition as the dlcs for both red hood and Harley are roughly 15 minutes a piece and there are no challenge maps for these characters either. Which really **** because they are so damn fun to play as especially red hood who kills everyone he fights. Rocksteady screwes this game by changing these particular things and giving is such short lackluster dlc. This game deserves better than that. To make matters even more worse (if that were possible) is the the season pass contains pretty much all the content and is packaged with a $40 price tag WTF?! I highly recommend waiting until this game is on sale or comes out with a goty edition with all dlc or more than likely you will be disappointed like I was. This series deserves better and so does batman.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt10

Take notes video game developers this is how to make a game. It's flawless in execution, it's phenomenol in graphics and storytelling and filled with a hell ton of content. Even when you buy the game there is a note from developer cd projekt red thanking you for buying their game with your hard earned money. They also mention that 16 pcs of non story dlc will be released FREE!!! This is how to do dlc. However they are charging for the expansions but that is completely ok because these are going to be HUGE 10+ hour stories and are sure to be AMAZING. There is soo much going for this wonderful masterpiece and cd projekt red card about gamers and their creation. This is a perfect videogame and an amazing developer. I definitely recommend it and if you pass on it you miss out on one of the greatest games ever created. Don't be an idiot.

The Order: 18868
Mar 5, 2015
Well I finished the order 1886. The ending was disappointing setting up for a great sequel. Everything started picking up as the game ended much like prologues often do. The gunplay is solid and realistic and gory. I didn't have any problem with the abundance of qtes as it made for some fun fights against enemies nor did I have any complaints with the walking scenes (it isn't that much guys) or lockpicking minigames. The story was great but had a lot of sequel set up. Hopefully there will be story dlc just to add more lore and hours of gameplay to the game's fantastic setting. Also a lot of people complained about the game's length as being too short. I'm proud to say that the game isn't 5 hours long it's about 7 or 8 but it seems much longer when you play which is a good thing as if you're a fan of cinematic story based games Like I am you won't want it to end quickly. I recommend playing on hard as it will provide a challenge and add to the game's playtime as enemies act realistically and are very aggressive. Overall the game is fun it's great however it isn't worth the full price and the reason being is once you beat it.. that's it. There isn't any extra missions, modes, or multiplayer since you beat it and see the great story to it's disappointing conclusion you're done. It is a shame because this is a top notch beautiful and awesome game that could of given so much more. I recommend playing it at least even if you have to red box it like I did. It's a well made polished story based game that is worth at least a rent. Hopefully the inevitable sequel will do this new series justice it rightfully deserves. 8/10

Dying Light8
Feb 1, 2015
this is a re-review as i decided to give dying light another chance. it can still irritate the hell outta me but it is no doubt a fun game. I've almost finish the campaign and got to the second open world area and i'm glad to have gave the game another chance. It still is hard as balls and still can be unfair, but it is without a doubt a beautiful, polished, and fun game with a story that is surprisingly very good imo. i felt for the characters as their lives became worse and worse and i hated the main villain because he was a sick, evil, bastard. overall after playing more and more and getting better i really like this game now and don't regret buying it. it can still be a pain the ass BIG TIME, but it still is fun to run around and kill zombies or run for your life as night time can get scary and intense. i'm glad i turned out liking this game and i recommend it to any fan of dead island or open world zombie games. 8.5/10

Tales From The Borderlands: Episode 1 - Zer0 Sum9
Nov 27, 2014
ill be honest. im not a huge fan of borderlands. when i first heard that this game was coming out i wasnt excited. But after playing this game i have to say Telltale games have done it again, they crafted a fantastic, smart, and very funny game taking place in the borderlands universe. i never thought borderlands was one for storytelling but this game nails it. the first episode was lengthy, fun, and set up the events of the oncoming episodes. great characters and action set pieces are awesome and fun to play since im one who enjoys QTE elements. i wont spoil the story but its mainly about a deal gone wrong and how everything unfolds is worth experiencing. plus not to mention all the different outcomes. this is a ttg all the way and choices are back and plentiful. how the story pans out is incredeibly up to the player. overall i really enjoyed this game and will definitely play the others. TTG has crafted yet another masterpiece in character and story development that deserves to be experienced 9/10

Escape Dead Island8
Nov 19, 2014
Just beat escape from dead island. It's INSANE. And a total **** The gameplay was pretty good for a budget title as were the cell shaded graphics. Isn't like other dead island games and is more linear but the main star of the game is insanity. The protagonist cliff's mind cracks and **** by the end of the game. So much crazy **** will happen he will see things, hallucinate to the point where his environment changes, and more. The sanity sections are the best part of the game and again it's a budget title and the gameplay can be mediocre at times but I really enjoyed it. The insanity based story atleast deserves a rent to be experienced because cliff is absolutely crazy! 8/10 not a must buy and most ppl aren't gonna mess with it but the story and insanity moments could suprise you like they did me

Watch Dogs10
May 27, 2014
I'n shocked at how there'd are so many haters for this game. IMO opinion this game is wayyy better than gta 5 and here is why. First off the city of Chicago feels way more real than anything rockstar has crafted. Don't get me wrong rockstar can craft some great live open world games but nothing comes close to matching watchdogs living breathing city. Random crimes happen, fights, and some nova will even call the cops on you. It just feels so real even in how the npcs interact with you and others. It's simply amazing. The animation and graphics are excellent even though there is a noticeable graphics downgrade. The shooting and hacking in the game is fun and opens up endless possibilities on how to complete missions, stop crimes, or evade the cops. There is just so much content in this game from the aforementioned random crimes to activities like chess, drinking games, races, and even my favorite activities...digital trips. There is so much more this game offers but explaining it would take a while and I'd rather get back to playing this amazing piece of work. It is well worth the money don't believe the hate. It ain't perfect but it sure as hell is close to it 9.5/10

inFamous: Second Son9

Wow just Wow! This game showcases what the ps4 is capable of. Its gorgeous, plays great and the attention to detail and particle effects are INSANE. The story is good so far and the powers are varied and fun to use (I only have smoke and Neon). Not sure about the replayability though it looks like it can get repetititve after being beat but with two paths to follow good and evil, its like playing two seperate games. Dont listen to hate basing reviews or ppl who say this game **** or is ugly. They are not true the game is not perfect but it sure is fun and beautiful. I definitely recommend this game to any ps4 owner. Its the best looking and most fun ps4 game to date imo. Enjoy your power.
