Creaky old level design, a loathsome entourage of heroes, and a lifeless open world. [Nov 2017, p.81]
Agents of Mayhem tries and in parts succeeds in reminding us of the golden days of our childhood. Cartoons, evil geniuses, good guys, stylish humor (mostly hit-or-miss) and, of course, tons of pure, entertaining action. The variety between the well-designed Agents is what truly makes the game shine, and it’s a shame that the open world of Seoul is so repetitive and, despite the many colors and explosions, dull. It basically emulates every part of a classic “mediocre open-world game”.
Furious and entertaining city action from Saints Row's creators, benefits from popular team actions, but doesn't offer any real team at the same time. The technical issues, non-attractive missions and unbalanced characters spoil the fun.

For many fans of the early Saints Row games, Agents of Mayhem is a letdown. While the universe lost a bit of its charme, you get a fun but bland and basic AAA game full of really dumb humour. (7.6)

O jogo é bonito, bem colorido e divertido. A jogabilidade é ótima e sinceramente me arrependo de não tê-lo jogado na época em que foi lançado. Gostaria de ver um novo jogo dessa franquia!

I recently played Agents of Mayhem as part of PlayStation Plus's new extra tier and I really can't believe how underrated this game is. The combat is smooth, responsive and pleasantly chaotic but the true star's of the show are the agents themselves. Each agent has a unique personality and backstory that you get to experience through an exceptional anime style cutscene followed by an entertaining loyalty mission. This is honestly just a fun well polished game. I wish I would have purchased it at launch so I could have given it the support it deserves..

It's not easy to still find ways to innovate in the open-world space, but Voltion has managed to stay on the pulse of the genre well enough over the past few years. Agents of Mayhem is another strong entry in the developer's fan-favorite library, and has just as many memorable characters and moments as the best Saints Row titles. There are times where it feels like a bit of a grind, but even those elements are outmatched by Agents' charm. Saving the world has never been this vulgar or felt this good, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Though Agents of Mayhem has a slow start, the game gets very entertaining along the way, thanks to the non stop action, variation in characters and controls. The story and the jokes are pretty lame though.

I had a blast playing this game. Apart from the final two or three missions where I encountered some annoying glitches everything was like an amazing roller coaster. I am a fan of the Saints Row series and I can’t see any reason why people cannot enjoy both games. I am at a loss of why people criticised the game so much. Definitely one of the most underrated games. Under no circumstances should the game get only a 6 rating like now.

Agents of Mayhem is an over-the-top hero shooter with lots of agents to choose from. The game pays an homage to old cartoon series with weird enemies, cool cut-scenes and a lot of action. Sadly the game suffers from the common flaws of the open world genre.

This is not a game to think about, this is a game you should play just for fun. There is a nice variation in Agents, but other than that it is pretty simplistic.

Compared to open-world rivals such as GTA, Assassin’s Creed or The Witcher, there’s simply far too little to do in this world – and what little you’re asked to do, you’re asked to do so much it becomes bland and uninteresting.

Personality can only take a broken and repetitive game so far. The attitude behind Agents of Mayhem has potential, at least if it's executed properly. But there's little to Agents of Mayhem beyond its foul-mouthed and bombastic attitude, which push the game into grating and obnoxious territory. Throw in the poor mission design and bugs, and you've got a game with loads of mayhem, but not much else.

Agents of Mayhem is a lot of fun to play in the first few hours, and the gunplay and movement systems are addictive. Sadly, the story is rather dull and there is little offered in terms of immersion, which makes me wish the game offered more to keep me interested in.

As an absolute Saints Row fan, I really enjoy this game. Its kinda like GTA with modern MOBA-Elements. You start with three agents who play completely different. You unlock about 10 more through missions. Every character has a great voice acting a a variety of upgradable skins. Some of the characters are really well designed. And the humour is great. The world has the perfect size, not to big and not to small, lots of collectibles, and beautiful. Mission variety is a little dull. You kill people, destroy things or save/protect things/people. But its a one-of-a-kind-game and you will certainly enjoy it.

i was really surprised that the game was this fun,i had no hopes for it but because it's now cheap i took a go positive + explosive ,fun action + a lot of characters with fun skills + different enemies ,which are somehow really fun to play against( for 1 hour) + the cartoon graphics are solid + pretty dumb humor, that still succeeds to make you laugh + fun weapons negative; - not a really interesting story - after a while the enemies become boring, because they feel the same - boring made open world - repetitive mission design conclusion: It's fully recommended for ( now ) it's cheap price ,but don't expect a masterpiece, the game has to many flaws for that

The gameplay isn't bad. Sort of an open world GI Joe game. The humor fell flat with me. It runs pretty poorly on the PS4, sometimes going down to the teens when alot of stuff is happening. The amount of wokeism on display is astounding. It's to the level of an SNL parody on politcal correctness (back when they actually made fun of political correctness). On a team of 15 agents there's not one but TWO lesbians, both of whom are romantically involved with women and they make sure you know it. There's only one white dude, and he's a buffoon who is constantly made fun of by the rest of the team. There's 6 major villians, 2 of whom are women, and both are implied to have been innocent until they were manipulated by the evil men around them. It's funny, when you beat the game you get to see pictures of the development team, and they are 99% fat pasty white guys. This is the same company that is developing the Saint's Row reboot, so enjoy that.

If you liked the Saints Row series especially Saints Row 4, then you'll probably get some playtime out of Agents of Mayhem, but sadly the game is unpolished and a purely optimized port that has many severe bugs, such as enemies stuck in walls....lairs that are impossible to finish because of enemies stuck in walls (common **** simply not spawning at **** get the idea, its' a shame because it is fun to play when the game works as intended, but it doesn't take long for glitches to reappear. Deep Silver needs to do better, these bugs should not be happening in a $60 release, this clearly needed a few months extra development time to correct some of these issues.
