What starts off as a decent if clunky zombie romp quickly spirals into a confused mess with artificial and frustrating difficulty due to the atrocious auto save system and a poor combat system. If you are a big fan of the dead island franchise or zombie action games in general, it's often on sale for 2$ and you'll get some enjoyment out of it otherwise I would say it isn't worth the price of admission

Very great story man better than most on the market right now. Gameplay is a little **** a still better than some disgrace like last of a us 2 great game would buy 4x times again.

Escape Dead Island was a surprise for me. For a budget title and a spinoff of the series, it’s way better than it should be.

Technical issues weigh down a game that could be good enough because, even when it doesn't catch the eye with its plot, the main character's charisma or its mechanics, it entertains while you unfold the mysteries of Narapala and the origin of the virus that turned the paradise into a swarming hell of zombies.

Much better than the review make it look. I expected playing some crap and quitting after 15min based on reviews, but ended up completing it and having a blast doing so. Story is interesting, there's no dead moments, it always keep going and adding new stuff and fckeup events. I would even say presentation of the story is better than the Dead Island game. Gameplay is fast and shooting action is tight. Level design are great. Not worth a 10, but I'm balancing for these whining kids who don't know what's good and what's not.

A big misstep on the path to the second Dead Island chapter. Developer Fatshark clearly rushed things, to the point where there are really few reasons to play this spin off.

It could have been a good spin-off, but in the end there's very little to save in this particular zombie apocalypse.

To put it simply Escape Dead Island is a cash grab using the Dead Island name, before the franchise completely moves to the new consoles with Dead Island 2. There’s nothing really satisfying about Escape Dead Island, even if you are a huge fan of zombies or Dead Island.

I loved this game, gameplay is solid, graphics beautiful, plot decent. Yes I understand that this isnt a traditional dead island game, and yes the characters are poorly written. However as a standalone game it is very fun, and the bad acting is just very funny. Didnt bother me at all. Give this game a shot, it's very cheap. Dont let these reviews hinder you

Hmm, Well dont buy this. doesn't feel like a traditional Dead Island game...Obviously. Cheesy jokes, boring gameplay, and just utterly stupid design ideas. The only thing I really like about this game is the cel-shading.

I love Dead Island brand, but what the f**k is this??? the story is simple, the onoric parts are very boring and disturbing,why there isn't the level? In definitive: -You can't upgrade yourself. -You can't level up. -zombies copied by Left 4 Dead. -you can't craft weapons. -Last but not least, this game isn't fun. the only thing that i have appreciate is the good cel shading graphics, very bad =(
