But now, over three years since the release of the original, a lot of the gameplay seems lacking.
But really, part of what makes No More Heroes so enjoyable is the nearly nonsensical story, which is still intact here. Lots of 4th wall breaking going on by all parties, and a whole lot pokes are made at popular culture and various geek loves, like Star Wars, Transformers, and others.
If you never got around to playing the original on the Wii, or are just looking for an interesting, although flawed, game from the strange mind of Suda51, you can't go wrong with Heroes' Paradise.

One of my favorite game ever! Travis is such a badass, and the game still holds up to this day! 10/10!

No More Heroes: No Paradise beendet nach ca. 20 Stunden. 8,5/10

A flawed, albeit fun classic. No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise sees the journey of Travis Touchdown, a geeky loser with nothing going on in his life (and no money) who gets roped into the UAA's competition to decide who is the greatest Assassin in the world. With the promise of money and women dangled before him, he heartily accepts his fate and dives head first into the Garden of Madness. NMH: Heroes Paradise is a port of the original Wii classic that comes with a few extra features, including bonus bosses (ripped right from NMH2) and extra quality of life changes that make bouncing between jobs and contracts while gathering the cash needed to follow this absurd task at hand. The game plays decently and responds well, though it normally hits sub 30fps in normal play, and the game tends to have a problem when slaying multiple enemies at once (causing heavy slow down). Furthermore, do be aware that, since the game runs sub 30, the game can sometimes register rapid button pressing as holding down the button, which would cause a charge attack (sometimes in inopportune moments). Keep this in mind when fighting groups of foes, and be patient with your attacks. Otherwise, the gameplay is quite fun, and with the inclusion of NMH2 bosses, leads to quite the roster of boss battles throughout the game (and compiled nice and neatly in the Extra Menu's "Score Attack" mode post game), which, let's face it, is the real reason you'd play the game. The game itself does look rather nice, especially with character looks, though don't expect a dusty, grungy town like Santa Destroy to ever impress in the visual department. Everything in the sound department, from the clash of weapons, massive explosions, and the horrific dismemberment and decapitation of foes feels quite punchy. The battle music is catchy and helps set the very video-gamey tone it's trying to sell, even if it may feel a bit repetitive after longer sessions. All in all, if you still have a PS3 and have never played No More Heroes in any form, this isn't a bad game to check out. It could have been polished better, but its extras really put this above the original release in terms of content and quality.

No More Heroes is still a great game, if a little inconsistent; dozens of inspired moments with the dullest sandbox world yet produced as the hub, sacrificing fun for drudgery, yet somehow getting away with it, a fast-paced action game, coupled with a frame rate volatile when you do anything too fast. This is a deeply flawed game but it is brilliant; overcoming a multitude of shortcomings and refusing to be crippled by its own flab.

A great "HD Edition", with some interesting additions regarding boss battles from the second chapter and a functional control scheme.

Amazing game with SUDA51 sarcastic and pervy humor, while you still enjoy some great story of a killer

The only issues with the game is the sometimes repetitive gameplay and odd graphical glitches. Add in an online leaderboard, mini-games and that bloody entertaining beam katana which makes all my Star Wars fantasies come to life and No More Heroes - Heroes Paradise is the perfect game for those looking for something light.

Its wanton weirdness is still as charming as it was on the Wii, and its nonsensical narrative is always enjoyable. So if you're anxious to rekindle your bloodlust in the most over-the-top manner available, Heroes' Paradise may be worth a look.

Heroes is a fine title taken in small bites, but the repetitive gameplay becomes ever more grinding with prolonged exposure. [Oct 2011, p.81]

It's shame that this port has been borked so badly; I don't think No More Heroes found the audience it needed on the Wii, and Heroes' paradise isn't going to do this franchise any favors.

Almost ideal for video games: - Interesting and varied mini-games; - Catchy challenging bosses; - Improvement of the hero; - Vizulny individual style; - Humor, music and sound. So was supposed to be the God of War, but it made a piece of for the kids. What else to expect from the West studio Well that game consoles are the real experts on the case from the Eastern studios that make a REAL video game, not QTE-movies. A masterpiece of modern gaming industry, is mandatory for gamers, it is not recommended to vanilla fans God of War, Uncharted and other modern "games."

I usualy do not like/play this kind of games: mindless shooting/slashing/killing, but I have to admit that I REALY DO ENJOY THIS ONE!! at first I did not, I played for an hour or less and then I throw it and forget about it for quite some time, and then I picked it up again and start slashing and killing and this time I am hoked! it's not for everyone, and I am one picky videogame player, I do not play anything just for kicks I only play serious games like RPGs and action/puzzle games with story that can get my attention/interest. This game have no story and no puzzle, its just killing people and blood everywhere, I used to hate these kind of games and to judge those who like this kind of **** oh boy how I am enjoying this!! hope to see NoMore Heros 2 ported to PS3. In the other hand the graphics are a bit ..**** school if I may say comparing it to other games of the gener, but hey its just a ported wii game, and now I just want to KILL thing!

Horrible HD port of No more Heroes for Wii . They should have excluded the Open Map option because it is SO broken that it is almost unplayable. The game is Ok, but it's so full of bugs that maybe it's not worth it.
