Come for the nostalgia, stay for the nerve-wracking suspense. ... Don't even think of missing this ride. [27 Feb - 12 Mar 2023, p.4]

Picard‘s final season brings back Next Generation favorites and introduces new wrinkles in what is easily the best season yet.

This is exactly what I've wanted from the Star Trek franchise for probably the last 15 years but Paramount is obsessed with the Kirk era for some reason. This season was done perfectly with every character from TNG introduced in an appropriate manner and they are all given something of importance to do. Nothing seemed forced. THIS is what the entire 3 seasons should have been like.

Star Trek Picard is the TNG movie sequel that we never got. After the disappointing Nemesis, Star Trek TNG was essentially dead. Only the movies reboot, with their action oriented and new TV series Discovery, that Star Trek's interest was revived, brought with a certain 'whiz bang' sensibilities that old fans do not like. Yet, suddenly the showrunners started to get better: the animated series 'Lower Decks' brought modern sensibilities and humor to the tropes, and Strange New Worlds suddenly brought a new fresh interpretation to the episodic storyline. And finally, after a somewhat mixed season 1 and 2, we finally have the best Star Trek in years, and probably ever. To Lucasfilm, lessons to be learned here: respect the older fans, give them what they want and then steer a course for future adventures. There is an air of disrespect over the Star Wars front to the older fans that lead to the dwindling quality of new trilogy, with older favorites behaving the opposite of what they were before. Here, the TNG crews were given full arcs to complete their 40 years journey together, and played to perfection by casts that understood their character truly inside and out. No spoiler here, every pieces of Easter egg nostalgia are milked to the max in all aspects. Truly the best Star Trek I have seen for a very, very long time. Bravo.

This season of “Picard” doesn’t feel like fan fiction; it feels legit.

Cinematic, emotional, and actionably nostalgic, the third season of Star Trek: Picard feels like the truest representation of what returning Patrick Stewart and the TNG era was supposed to be for.

In its final season, the series beautifully captures his thematic journey while also sprinkling in some welcome, but not oppressive, fan service.

Jean-Luc is reunited with an old friend while searching for another in an exciting and fun – but maybe a little too callback-heavy – rethinking of the Star Trek: Picard format.

The new episodes do not qualify as great. ... Having said that, these new episodes are still a vast, vast improvement over what Picard has done before. The TNG cast has remained close over the decades, and their chemistry from the Eighties and Nineties still works.

I think the 3rd season of Star trek Picard is wonderful. Each episode truly makes me want to watch the next one. I thought the first season was just ok, thought the second season was poor and I was done. I said I would not watch the third season. But after hearing how it was a return to form of Star trek it peaked my interest and I decided to give Picard one last shot after allowing 9 episodes to drop. And I'm glad I did. Picard season 3 is really good. I won't ruin it for anybody and I could use less of the Rafi storyline but all in all I must say I'm impressed. This is what the first 2 seasons should have been. They really saved the best for last

After the mediocre first season and the dumpster fire that was season 2, I am hoping this season would be better, but after episode 2 I can tell you that it is mediocre so far. The plot and the acting is forced and over the top. I will update as the episodes are released.

Even if it was good season, it would be too little too late. Next time don't start war you cannot win. And BTW, after only two episodes i hated four characters. I mean, the stupid antagonist btch is the worst movie character i've ever seen, maybe next to the Moriarty from Cumberbatch'es Sherlock abomination. They replaced one kind of BS with another, granted, at least not insulting one as in first two seasons. And WTF with the soap opera plot...

What is usually a good A plot for most of the episode is ruined by interruptions to Raffy and a B plot that is very slow and poorly acted. Nice to see the original cast back and the show being full of mostly competent actors, but the poor casting for most new cast members still stands out.
