No show this side of Seinfeld loves the language of conversation (the wisecrack, the pun, the withering retort, and the muttered aside) as much. ... Week in and week out, Buffy just slays me.

My favourite show of all time. A TV Show that changed how we view characters, stories, and even musicals! With amazing acting and fantastic writing; Buffy is one of the best teen dramas in the history of entertainment. As relateable as the characters are, they're also people you can look up to, love, disagree with, be disappointed in, and never ever forget. Like all shows, BTVS has it's highs and lows. And over the course of 7 seasons the cast grow, change, leave the show, return, and become different people to who they were in episode one. Making you as a view feel you've changed with them over the seasons. And if you watched it live back in the day, then you certainly did. Buffy Summers is an icon. A legend. She's a special character that TV hasn't been able to clone since. I can't recommend BTVS (and ANGEL, the spin off!) enough.

Best show of all time. The first season and a half are not as great as the rest of the show, but when it does pick up by the middle of season 2, it becomes an extremely solid, well-written and consistent show until the end.

The winsome Sarah Michelle Gellar is a huge improvement over bubblehead Kristy Swanson as the new Buffy, moving with her mom to the "one-Starbucks town" of Sunnydale, Calif. She's cute and pert but nobody's fool. [10 Mar 1997, p.3D]

This supernatural series has fast, raucous music, attractive heroes and heroines, and nifty morphing effects for the vampires.

For fans of youth shows, occult shows and action shows, this new, weekly Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the right program at the right time. [10 Mar 1997, p.70]

A pretty lively and entertaining show, maybe the fledgling WB network's first real shot at a breakaway hit. [10 Mar 1997, p.10E]

The results are mighty ragged in the series opener. The show takes strange shifts in tone, the dialogue isn't campy enough, and the violence grows tiresome.

A série é muito boa, viciante ,pra mim já é a melhor série de vampiro já feita em todos os tempos ,uma pena ter acabado na 7 temporada, só digo uma coisa vale a pena.

Worst. Show. Ever. Absolute garbage. I’d take the Super Mario Bros Super Show over this anyday!

No sauce. This feeble attempt at making people horny only made plenty of us disgusted and contemptuous.

Oh... I don't like it. I just don't. I guess I wished for more from it, but I guess I just didn't get it.
