Through six episodes made available for review, “The Vampire Lestat” proves itself to be the show’s wildest, most risky and probably funniest season yet.

What continues to make “The Four Seasons” so compulsively watchable is how it accurately captures small but relatable details about middle-aged friendships and relationships.

Early episodes of “The Boroughs” are stronger than those deeper in the season — again, this could have been a movie; eight episodes is at least two too many — but the show’s general vibe is upbeat and there are a few surprising twists along the way (although the show’s villain is exactly who viewers will guess it to be from the jump).

“The Madison” moves at the snail’s pace of Sheridan’s “1923” — and the music score sometimes sounds nearly identical — but “The Madison” also borrows some of the humor that’s made Sheridan’s “Landman” a hit. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Stacy Clyburn isn’t as sarcastic and profane as Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris, but Stacy displays more backbone and bite than viewers might expect.

Reilly consistently delivers the more compelling performance. It’s unlikely “Dutton Ranch” will make as big a splash as “Yellowstone” did – sequels rarely do – but there’s enough similar storytelling that this show will either satisfy “Yellowstone” fans craving more or bore them to tears because it all seems so familiar.

Themes include the use of government propaganda on Earth to frame events on Mars in a negative light, also relevant to real-world current events. Science fiction is often at its best when it reflects the here-and-now, which “For All Mankind” has done from the start, contributing to the strength of the show’s dramatic storytelling.

Ahmed created the series, and he’s clearly having a blast making fun of himself and wringing laughs from the situations he puts his alter ego into, absurd as they often are.

She’s still funny, sometimes foolish and still prone to malapropisms. .... In a season as upbeat as Valerie herself, “The Comeback” allows itself some moments of earned emotion.

If “Downton” and “Gilded Age” offer a smooth blend of melodrama and lighter moments, “Forsytes” is choppier. It takes itself and its characters with utmost seriousness – until it doesn’t midway through episode three.

Fast-paced and funny with an undercurrent of authentic emotion, “Rooster” is a half-hour comedy worth crowing about.
