Could it be worse for a Michael Bay movie? Yes. Could it better for a Ninja Turtles movie? Also yes. But is it a decent modern version of a Turtles movie? Absolutely!

teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was such a good movie it's stick to the story and I love that name made it to wear like April O'Neill is really the owner of the turtles and it was really cool to see how Paramount just delivered a really good movie that just has good storytelling character development and just did not miss the mark of the show but I really wish they would have followed like the show to wear the daughter of splinter found out her real father !

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fails more than it succeeds, but does enough to be a fun family adventure.

This movie is done right - drama, action, martial arts and ninja's atmosphere, life wisdom imparted by Splinter - a rat who became a legend by being a rat in a sewer with four turtles, good, wise and the savior of people. The jokes, unlike Marvel's Spider-Man, are very good and don't detract from the character, don't humiliate. There is Marvels Spider-Man, and there are jokes in the style of Jackie Chan, feel the difference, author's from Marvels. The characters are beautifully and deeply written. Good soundtrack. The visual is very realistic. An instructive story, good human qualities, condemnation of pop culture. But the minus is that the film does not sufficiently immerse you in the universe, in emotions, in what is happening, and it feels like a quick viewing, like a long, high-quality plot advertisement. Pop culture is condemned and at the same time encouraged. Unhealthy eating is encouraged, this leads to weakness, obesity, depression and disease. Dancing and disrespecting people and yourself, instead of encouraging learning, respect and modesty - calmness. This creates dissatisfaction and depression. I'd rather listen to more of Master Splinter's wisdom. Respect and love people, their humanity, then the films will turn out more interesting, better quality and more useful. The combat, hits, kicks not visible clearly enough, it's good but not enough, like in the Matrix for example. The actors played well, the filming was good, but April O'Neil doesn't look like her canon self. There is also a game, I wrote a review, it has its own problems with combat, hackwork, a game that could have become a masterpiece, buried in the past, which had enormous potential. And in the film, unlike the game, the ending, the attitude towards the criminal, towards the villain, is correct. For these reasons, people didn't like the movie much, learn from the mistakes, don't repeat them. I'm going to watch the second part. Thanks for the reboot with new technology, but it's important to say, have respect for the canon. If you don’t like the canon, then create something of your own, but don’t spoil the canon, respect people. It is necessary to correct mistakes, for example, Octopus, an ordinary person with iron tentacles who can withstand the blows of the super strong hero Spider-Man, but not to spoil the canon. And i don’t understand how i could forget about one of the stupidest drawbacks in films - black bars. What is this?! For what?! Enough. Do a normal, full, clear, no grain picture.

The turtles' story was already done better in past iterations. I understand that this is a product, not art, and that the target audience is adolescent boys with underdeveloped intellect. Still, is that an excuse to make a movie more boring and unengaging than chewing on a week-old slice of pizza?

Possibly the worst version of the Ninja Turtles. The jokes are terrible and the turtles are hideous.

My sleep paralysis demons look better than those turtle designs. Michelangelo's face makes me want to set my breakfast free. The script and acting are both cringe, but that's not a problem because the editing makes it easy to not see any of it. The drinking game for this movie is every time Megan Fox's butt is in the camera. The only reason I'm giving this 0 out of 10 is that I can't go any lower.

Boring. I did't care for any of the characters or story. The 80s cartoon had much more appeal than this film did.

I understand why it may not be enjoyable for some of you, but I really enjoyed the movie when I saw it. I think it's funny, has good action, and great visual effects. It's not for everyone but then again nothing is.

Serial Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I adored so I didn't have the slightest problem trying out the film and I must say that I was satisfied. Maybe I'm just a fan of the series, but personally I think it's a good movie. The story attracted mainly the effects, but also the music, which was quite epic. The main negative ripper is also a hit, and overall all this with a proper action creates a combo that I think works. For me, a good film that I can recommend.

Flat, generic, CGI-filled. 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' bored me, unfortunately. I have a slight memory of seeing bits of TMNT when I was younger but never intentionally watched it, though have always been interested in viewing a film with them in. So in that sense, this disappointed. It just has nothing about it, no character or charm whatsoever. No reason to care for any of the onscreen bunch. Very plain. None of the cast stick out, particularly the voices. Megan Fox is probably the best this has to offer, though I didn't mind William Fichtner either... Whoopi Goldberg shows up in an alright minor role too, I guess? I found little to zero of the action scenes entertaining, not helped by some questionable editing and music. Another issue I did also notice is the humour, which falls flat at almost every opportunity - especially with the grating Michelangelo (Noel Fisher). I'll check out the sequel, because I always going to, but I ain't expecting much! This 2014 film isn't worth seeing.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is funny action film which is normally mostly hated for having Megan Fox as April, How the turtles look, The origin story and April told channel 5 about the turtles but besides how April told channel 5 the turtles they all don’t effect the story at all. Through out the movie there are great punch lines (besides there not Aliens there reptiles) And by far this movie has the best battles in any ninja turtles movies besides tmnt out of the shadows. Better yet Shredder actually looks like shredder but actually more like super shredder which is awesome! And even better when the turtles were in the elevator. 7/10 BOOM!

Story has a slow start, but the second half of the movie delivers. CGI is top notch and the action scenes are very well composed. Megan Fox does an ok job as April O'Neil. Fichtner portrays a good villain, and the turtles are quite funny.

Spawned from a lab experiment gone awry, teenage terrapins Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael live in the sewers beneath New York. Although their rodent sensei, Splinter, advises against showing themselves above ground, the justice-loving, pizza-eating brothers can't stand idly by while evil Shredder and his minions terrorize the city. With help from intrepid reporter April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her cameraman (Will Arnett), the Turtles set out to save New York. While definitely not a masterpiece, but even with its flaws, it still is a very fun and entertaining movie. I'll give TMNT 2014 an A.

First Transformers, now the TMNT series, Micheal Bay just can't get his hands off of our favorite Saturday morning cartoons and making us waste our time with cash grabs like this one. This movie does not work at all. First of all, the CGI for these turtles look absolutely hideous, and it's hard not to compare it to something worse. The story in this movie is so boring and confusing that nothing can redeem it. The characters are boring and the plot is just a ripoff of The Amazing Spider-man **** action is so boring and nothing special is added to it. Even the jokes are unfunny. The acting is so bland, mainly because of Megan Fox trying not to make herself look like a porn star, but nobody else does a good job either. Overall, this is not justice to the franchise ,and nobody should support this crap, not even mindless kids.

The premise of a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" story can be hard to make convincing, but in an era where we've seen movies that can make a billionaire with weapon suits team up with a thunder God, an angry green man and a 90 year old soldier fight an alien army, this new version of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' produced by Michael Bay, a director lacking in good movies with the exception of a couple, should be no problem. Unfortunately, if you've sat through all four "Transformers" movies, for example, then you'd know what to expect, here. If you actually loved all four of those movies, then you should be looking forward to this. The film, like the previous ones, focuses on a news reporter named April O'Neil (Megan Fox, proving that looks are more important than acting) who discovers four vigilantes taking down the evil Foot Clan. When she manages to capture it on video via her phone, her boss Bernadette (Whoopi Goldberg) is not convinced and she ends up getting fired from her job and not being able to tell this story. She meets the vigilantes, who turn out to be giant, talking turtles; Leonardo (voiced by Johnny Knoxville), Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher) and Donatello (Jeremy Howard). These turtles apparently have a past that does involve April, she is told this when she meets their mentor and father, the giant rat named Splinter (Tony Shalhoub) as he explains all to her. At just 1 hour and 41 minutes, this film felt twice as long as it should have. None of the scenes, whether it's exposition or even the giant action sequences, are entertaining to hold one's interest. The jokes are pretty much the same as you would expect in a "Transformers" movie... take anytime that Michelangelo tries hitting on April, it's creepy and not funny. The nature of it feels like it's as if Michael Bay actually had more control over this than the director, Jonathan Liebesman. There is no reason whatsoever to see this film, I couldn't wait for it to end...

[6/10] Pros: 1. Megan Fox was stunning as always. 2.MARVEL characters. 3.Funny one-liners in between dialogues. 4.Good story. Cons: 1.Those turtles were pretty freaking to be called as heroes. 2.Overall experience was average. 3.Memory of this movie won't last in your head.

I'd heard it was bad. Finally saw it for free. Oh how its bad. Rather than dissect what all is wrong with the film its much easier and faster to say what isn't. They managed to strike a fine balance with the ninja fighting where no one was obviously killed (by movie logic or 12 year old logic at least). Some of the fighting bits were amusing. William Fichtner did a good job with what he had to work with. It definitely fits the criteria of being a movie. It was competently filmed. It largely didn't hurt to look at. It makes the first ninja turtles film look heartfelt and good. And its a good example of the value of practical effects (because there weren't any and it showed). Rather than go on about the rest and spoil things I'd rather point out a few obviously bad choices. Splinter has a fooman chu. Thats a bad guy hair style. CG lens flare obviously added in post. Just why? Overall, this film is terrible. Do not pay to see it.

I think all of these bad reviews are from stupid idiots who just **** at life. This movie was created by the original creators so they have any right they want to change the story to whatever they seem fit! First off all of you saying there ugly gross looking and childish, how about learn to shut your **** mouth and read the title of the movie over and over again until you final realize the title "TEENAGERS" because that's how they act you **** worthless stupid tools. Second off this version is a much more realistic view of the story then a god damn rat learning from some stupid ass master of martial arts by watching him practice like seriously wow that's probably the stupidest argument i have herd about this movie. So I close with **** you you are all **** moronic **** who have no positive outlook on change even when its clearly a smarter more believable approach then the original "CLASSIC" movies. This movie deserves good ratings from people who enjoy change and don't live there lives on previous events.

You ever like a movie, while realizing it's really, really, bad? That's how I feel about this movie. It becomes pretty apparent that this film went through a major overhaul of the main plot at some point late in development. This created massive plot holes, and errors in logic far beyond the average action flick. For instance, despite Splinter having no contact with the world outside of the sewer, he has intricate knowledge of Shredder and the foot clan. These type of errors appear frequently. ****'s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and as far as that goes, they nailed it. The four brothers are amazing in every frame, and even Megan Fox pulls off a decent April O'Neil. So what you have to ask yourself is, does the Ninja Turtles have to be well written to be enjoyable? I found that, though these plot holes can be annoying, it's nothing new to the franchise. I grew up on TMNT, and this is honestly a very faithful reboot to the source material. For example, in the cartoon series Shredder often referred to the Turtles as amphibians. Did we care? No, because it's TMNT. So, though it is without a doubt a terrible movie, it is at the same time very fun and entertaining for kids and older turtle fans alike.

Get ready for April o neil the movie as she tries to keep us non interested. Plus, join shrek and his friends as they try to stop mystery man, who calms he is shredder. And enjoy explosive taste as if this was like transformers.

With a terrible actress, clumsy and a bit boring story, and fake false science-fiction, this down-beat story can just be called "fantasy". This could sound a bit interesting for children or some teenagers. But for adults or critics,Mathis is just a terrible film, whole of explosions and weapons of Michael Bay.

To be honest, I actually thought the movie was fun! There are a lot of cringe worthy Michael Bay moments and they went WAY over board with Donny and I godda admit, its really weird having Johnny Knoxville playing "the responsible one" (so weird hearing that voice coming out of that mouth) and the "foot clan" is a friggin joke, but in the end I still had fun! The turtles personalities really feel like the turtles and its awesome to see them again! Most importantly this movie isn't a 3 hour long explosion like Age of Extinction was (which honestly I was expecting this to be). Check it out.

This review will ot include the phrase michel bay ruined my childhood. Let me start off by saying that i have seen the first teenage mutant ninja turtles movie ever made. The cartoon movies and some of the tv show. Now this movie is far from perfect. I'm not going to lie it really is not. I was fairly excited to hear they were doing a teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. This movie was not a complete **** of my childhood like many are pronouncing but The biggest problems I had with this movie was there was not enough splinter and turtles relashinship. Were supposed to feel bad for splinter when he dies but I don't because i barly get to see enough of him. The backstory of the turtles I was like what??????. I appreciate Hollywood trying to be original for once but this just didn't work. Also will arnett's portrayal of Vern was so annoying. I would have loved to see megan fox hurtle him into the ocean. I would have been so happy. Next the foot clan are supposed to be ninjas not mercenaries. I don't have a problem with them being mercenaries it's just that i would have like to see them fight with there fists instead of just shooting. Next The villain who I was not expected him to be and he was very bad. Probably one of the worst villain portrayals of the 21 first century. He was just so boring. Last but not least as many people have already stated this movie focused too much on April o neil and not enough on the turtles. When were supposed to feel scared for the turtles I just don't because not enough time was spent on them. however there are some bright sides. The action scenes were actually pretty awesome. Especially the snow action scene and the fight between splinter and shredder was done to perfection. next, even though the turtles didn't get enough screen time they each had there own personality and each felt different witch i liked. Many people complained about shredders look but i loved it. It was so Awesome I just can't even. And a certain pizza company makes a cameo which to be honest is just a consumerism technique I was very happy they included that in the movie. And last but not least this is Megan fox's best movie I have seen her act in even though as I stated before I would have liked to see less of her Unfortunately teenage mutant ninja turtles lacks any ice ice baby, heart, and turtle splinter connection that could give this movie an extra push. This movie could also be 20 minutes longer. I know it was a movie was made for kids but keep in mind there are probably kids in the audience who are probably familiar with the cartoon. knowing kids they probably couldn't really care This movie is also the perfect example of Hollywood trying to be original but fails pretty miserably. I appreciate this Hollywood but it's just not well executed. this movie it's self also suffers from the many flaws and missed opportunities script wise that would have made this movie great.

This is just a terribly made movie. All-involved, with the exception of Will Arnett, should attend rehab immediately or be checked for extra chromosomes. The script and story made no sense, Megan Fox couldn't out-act a fence post, Shredder is a Transformer, and there is no development or motive given for any of the characters... Your expectations cannot be low enough to enjoy this movie.

This is just... bad. If you like it, that's fine, but I didn't enjoy it. It had a lot of potential, but spent more time on "April O'Neil" (MEGAN FOX) than the Turtles. Try to avoid this if you can.

Coming from someone who is not even a big TMNT fan....Damn this ****! I knew this would be bad but man, it was worse than i could have imagined. This new TMNT flick is a nice reintroduction for the heroes-in-a-half-shell. Is it perfect? Not at all. A ditzy April O'Neil, an even more ridiculous origins story than the old films and a shoe-horned in Japanese shredder see to that. But this is still a dumb fun movie for a dumb fun concept. The action sequences are cool and easy to follow, the turtles still seem like the old turtles at heart and there are some fun, nerdy references for long time fans too (Karai, for example). This is easily the best TMNT movie since the 1990 original. Bring on the superior sequel, please!
