Zootopia9
Mar 16, 2017
Zootopia is one of the best animated films I have seen in a long time. The story is very entertaining and smart, and has great and very fleshed out characters. And unlike most animated films today, Zootopia manages to keep it's tone more mature, which adults can get some enjoyment out of. The animation is without a doubt very beautiful, with every shot of the movie looking gorgeous. The acting is pretty solid without one bad performance, and the dialogue is good as well. Some of the problems I have with the film is how predictable it felt sometimes. The twist reveal was pretty obvious to me, and the 3rd act, while good, wasn't as good as the first two and kinda slowed the movie down. And some of the music didn't fit with some of the scenes. Overall, this is one of the better animated movies of today, and I would recommend this to children and adults alike.

Kong: Skull Island6
Mar 11, 2017
King Kong Is one of those monster movies where it focuses more on the action than the actual story, but I'm pretty sure that's what most people expect. The story itself I'd not only rushed, but it's actually trying to get itself to Kong island as fast as possible, which surprised me because I was expecting it to take at least fourty five minutes to get there. The characters have no development, but they are entertaining to watch at times. The film I'd shot well, it looks nice, and the action scenes are entertaining to watch. Overall, if you just want action with giant monsters, you'll get it here. But if your expecting an Oscar worthy story, you better watch something else.

The LEGO Batman Movie8
Feb 27, 2017
The Lego batman movie is one of the most entertaining movies of 2017 so far. The animation is very impressive as everything looks nice and colorful, and the movement works well. The characters all have something to like about them, with very funny humor added to make them more charming. The acting is pretty solid, the dialogue is funny, and lots of funny pop-culture references are thrown around in this movie. Some scenes feel very fastly paced, and some moments made me wish the movie was a little bit longer. The Lego Batman Movie is a very entertaining movie for kids and fans of Batman, and I would recommend giving this a watch.

Split8
Feb 7, 2017
Split is a thrilling thriller that offers some originality to the the genre. The story itself is told very well and in a unique way. The main characters are very interesting and all have something about them that makes them interesting. The main character, Kevin, is the best out of the bunch as the acting and writing for his character is very interesting and intimidating. Casey is a girl who's had a trouble and abusive past and is smart and calm enough to know her way out of a situations. The therapist herself is a character trying to help, but also figure out the problems and a solution to Kevin's mental state. The other main female characters don't really get that much time or development to make us care, and their acting isn't the best either. The plot itself is very interesting, as each act builds upon itself and creates more tense moments. The way the film is shot is very dynamic, with each frame capturing the moments in the film very well. Split is a very interesting movie, and is m night's best film since sixth sense, and I would give it a watch.

The LEGO Movie9
Feb 7, 2017
It's funny how a toy commercial managed to be one of the best animated films I've ever seen. The animation itself is very original and stands out from other animated films I've ever seen. It's bright colors and the way it moves is pretty solid. The characters are fantastic and all have depth to them, and have great chemistry, especially because of the great voice acting. The story itself is very awesome, and has a great message that stands out from generic messages like, family is important, or respect others. The humor in this movie is very clever, and almost every joke in this movie made me chuckle or laugh. Overall, the Lego movie managed to be one of the biggest commercials that I've seen that managed to entertain me, and I would recommend this to anyone, especially those kids.

Star Trek Beyond9
Feb 7, 2017
While the weakest of the trilogy, it's a fun ride from beginning to end. The characters once again shine in their roles and performances. This proves just how far the crew have grown to work with each other and move on from their previous conflicts. The only character that felt weak to me was the villain, Krawl, who had a weak motivation and felt very generic. The special effects shine out as the new worlds, spaceships, and vehicles look so spectacular. The new alien races look good with memorable character designs, and adds originality to the franchise. The soundtrack is also the weakest the the trilogy. While I like it just fine, some of the pieces just don't fit in with whats going on. Besides that, it works and sounds good. Action scenes are also pretty fun, with them being shot well, and tension added to make it more entertaining. Overall while not the best in the trilogy, it's still an epic film, and I would recommend it.

Star Trek Into Darkness9
Feb 3, 2017
Star trek into darkness is a sequel, while not as good as the original, is still a worthy successor to the first one. The action is still very tense, and is better than the first one because of it being better shot and choreographed. The characters here have much more depth to them. Kirk and Spock, bones, and the other star fleet members still have their great chemistry that is very well acted. The villain especially is so great, khan is so well written and acted, he ended up being my favorite character. The special effects are still as great as every as J.J Abrams has proven that he is a great film director. The only thing holding this movie back is some ridiculous moments that made me laugh a little. But overall, this movie is a must watch from me.

Star Trek9
Feb 3, 2017
While this movie does kind of feel like star wars at times, the overall quality of this movie makes it not that important in the first place. The story itself is told very well told, with and interesting take on the Star Trek universe. The characters and their banter really shine here. Spock is an alien trying not to let emotion cloud his judgement, letting the events around him challenge him to do that. Kirk is your reckless, irresponsible, and headstrong likable guy, who can see things more as fun than threatening
.Everyone else here is well acted, and well written enough for me to understand their motivation and purpose in this mission. The special effects are nothing more than incredible, as everything is good to look at, and will hold up for a very long time. The action scenes are very intense and well shot, and the acting is spot on. Overall, J.J Abrams had brought life to the Star Trek franchise once again, and I would recommend this to anyone, even if you are a Star Wars fan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows4
Feb 3, 2017
While not as bad as the first one, this sequel manages to be nothing special here either. The story itself is just full of fan service to try to get fans nostalgia to blindly make them like this movie, and even without it, this movie would have just been like the original, dull and boring. The action scenes are not that exciting and lose tension because of bad, if anything at all, character development. The CGI is is once again terrible looking with no improvement. And the humor does nothing to make a intelligent person laugh.Overall, instead of actually trying to improve on the franchise, it just makes it continue to displease fans and moviegoers alike.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles3
Jan 30, 2017
First Transformers, now the TMNT series, Micheal Bay just can't get his hands off of our favorite Saturday morning cartoons and making us waste our time with cash grabs like this one. This movie does not work at all. First of all, the CGI for these turtles look absolutely hideous, and it's hard not to compare it to something worse. The story in this movie is so boring and confusing that nothing can redeem it. The characters are boring and the plot is just a ripoff of The Amazing Spider-man **** action is so boring and nothing special is added to it. Even the jokes are unfunny. The acting is so bland, mainly because of Megan Fox trying not to make herself look like a porn star, but nobody else does a good job either. Overall, this is not justice to the franchise ,and nobody should support this crap, not even mindless kids.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King10
Jan 30, 2017
This is not only is this the best in the series, but it's one of the best movies made of all time period. The story and it's characters are what makes this movie really investing to watch. The characters are at their final stand, and watching the perfect action scenes makes it very entertaining to watch. The film also changes some of the characters in dramatic ways. Some of the main characters are at their breaking point, changing them completely in such an investing way. The films action scenes are some of the best in the series. It's shot very well, it looks amazing, and has some very high tension. The acting in this movie is fantastic, without one bad performance. And by god, the soundtrack is as solid as ever. This movie reminds me of cinema at it's best, and that films as good as this do exist. I would highly recommend giving this a watch.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers10
Jan 26, 2017
The twin towers improves much on it's sequel. The action is better shot and much more exciting than fellowship. It especially works because of how tense it it. The characters shine once again, and their journey only makes them better. Legolas and Gimli for example have been much improved, since they didn't have to much to do in the fellowship. Here they both have a great chemistry together and makes the film more fun to watch. The story itself is much more dramatic than the first one, with character moments that really outshine the original, and give more depth to them. The soundtrack in this movie is very solid, with each piece of the score fitting in with the tone just fine, and it's also very memorable. The practical effects look just as good as ever and the movie still holds up to this day. Overall, the twin towers is a sequel that improves on the original, and I would recommend it to anyone who loved the first movie, or just wants to see a great film.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring9
Jan 20, 2017
This film is one of Peter Jackson's best directed films, as he directs such an amazing film. The story itself has a great start to it, as it takes it's time to develop the world and characters around them, especially since this film is well paced. All of the characters are very well developed and have a very clear set of personality's. The action scenes are very exciting and well directed that you feel the tension for these characters. As a film it succeeds very well as it's well shot and almost flawless acting. Overall, this film succeeds and I would recommend this to anyone, except if you have a short attention spam.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction3
Jan 20, 2017
Transformers once again suffers thanks to Micheal bays formula with possibly the worst one, age of extinction. There are a couple of things to praise about it. New character designs for Optimus prime and bumblebee look fantastic, and the soundtrack is pretty solid. Everything else fails spectacularly, even the action. The action itself is pretty bad, especially since it's poorly shot. I can hardly tell whats going on, and it's hard to care about the characters since nothing interesting is going on. The story in this movie is poorly written and has the same problems with the other installments. It has poorly written characters who are so generic it's just pathetic. The humor in this movie is just as bad as the other two movies, which is no surprise, and the dialogue is so bad, no actor could pull this off. Plus this movie 3 HOURS LONG, it's so boring watching it was a drag. Once again, Bay just doesn't care about the project, and will continue to make these movies until he overfills his bank account.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon4
Jan 19, 2017
While it is more watchable than revenge of the fallen, it still has some of the same problems. The story and it's characters are actually more interesting than the previous 2 installments, but it's execution isn't that good, with it once again focusing on the human characters than the transformers. While the transformers do get more screen time than revenge of the fallen, it's not enough to make it more compelling. The human side of the story is just as dull as the other two, but somewhat better. Once again the special effects are pretty good, and the final act of the movie has an action packed end to it. Even though I don't care about the characters, I still enjoyed watching the final battle in **** humor in this movie is toned down a bit, but when it shows up, it attempts the same jokes as the other two movies, which isn't good. Overall, while it is better than revenge of the fallen, the story, characters, and overall structure of the film doesn't work, and I wouldn't really recommend it.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen3
Jan 18, 2017
Michael bay has put no effect into his movie, and this is another example. Transformers revenge of the fallen is a generic summer blockbuster that gets almost nothing right. The script in this movie is so lazy, without it even focusing on the transformers, it tries to develop the human characters more than the transformers. The humor in this is just so terrible, with it being mostly racist and stupid, just like every other Michael bay movie. The characters are all undeveloped and weak, and the movie just doesn't go anywhere interesting. The only good thing about this movie is the special effects and one good action scene, that's really it. Overall, transformers revenge of the fallen is just a lazy and stupid movie, and as a hardcore transformers fan, I highly wouldn't recommend it.

Transformers6
Dec 22, 2016
This movie to me doesn't feel like the transformers I know, but it isn't bad. The action is amazing and the special effects add to that. There are SOME, funny humor that works, even though it mostly doesn't. The story itself is just simple, but it's not completely dumb. If it just focused and developed the characters better, it would have been much better. Overall, it's a fun movie, but it needs better storytelling.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story6
Dec 21, 2016
Star wars rouge one to me is dissipating, not as a film, but as a star wars movie. The special effects, action scenes, and overall filmmaking is solid. The one problem with this movie is the characters. Their not that memorable and don't have much development. Plus the acting isn't bad, it's just o.k.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars8
Dec 11, 2016
Im going to be completely honest, I actually think this is a solid movie. Even though the plot is pretty dumb, and some of the characters needed development, this was a fun star wars movie. The animation, action, and story were what made me like this film.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens9
Dec 11, 2016
Star wars the force awakens brought back the star wars franchise with a bang. The characters, story, special effects, and overall directing of this movie really works, and it brings me back to that old, fun feeling of star wars.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi9
Dec 11, 2016
While return of the Jedi is the weakest of the original trilogy, with some story problems, return of the Jedi still succeeds at everything else, making this a perfect conclusion to the original trilogy.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back10
Dec 11, 2016
The sequel that improved over the original, star wars the empire strikes back is one of the best science fiction films ever made. The story is well written as well as the characters. The special effects are amazing, and the overall direction this movie takes is an absolute masterpiece.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope10
Dec 11, 2016
This was the film that changed cinema for science fiction and movies alike. It's story, characters, and overall fun kept us invested, and the special effects and filming still hold up to this day, which is a big surprise to me.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith8
Dec 11, 2016
While it still suffers from some story problems and dialogue, revenge of the sith is a very big improvement over episodes one and two by far. It improves on it's CGI, has better character development, and actually has a compelling story that deserves praise.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones4
Dec 11, 2016
Star wars attack of the clones has the same problems as the first one, but with less jar jar binks. However, the dialogue
is extremely terrible and is even worse than the phantom menace, and even the lightsaber fight was terrible.
Dec 11, 2016
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace3
Dec 11, 2016
Star wars the phantom menace is the worst star wars movie by far in the franchise. With it's boring characters, terrible acting, terrible cgi that does not hold up well, and the fact that is completely boring makes this unwatchable.
