Ok. I have been a pirates fan as I think these movies are great fun and one of the better examples of good popcorn entertainment. that being said pirates of the Caribbean dead man tell no tales does a great job trying to capture the spirit of the original and does a good job in some places and falls in others. I liked how this was more of a fun **** pirate romp that did not put captain jack as one of the leads but as a side character to our two main heroes. Geffory rush as barbosa was a joy to watch and much of the action while played for laughs was intense and exciting to watch. much of the cinematography was beautifully done. Jack was funnier than he was in 4 and 3. As for our two new comes i thought they did an alright job. I never felt that they reached the heights in terms of acting to kira knightly and orlando bloom but ever there romance got cringy as the movies went on. That being said many things fall flat. While javier bardem was good as the villain i did not find him particularly menacing or interesting unlike davy jones. His introduction was great but his character soon fell flat. As for the rest of the cast the acting was either really good from the likes of johnny depp and geffory rush or very serviceable. In conclusion it was a lot better than I was expecting but the director tried his best to capture the magic of the original and succeeded in some ways but failed in others. I will not be doing a review for the other films so here is how i rank them 1,2,5,3,4

Alot of people may disagree and at the same time maybe agree with me but I some respects I actually like attack of the clones. It's not perfect but after watching a documentary on star wars I have come to appreciate the prequels in a way I don't think i ever had. AS I have said before this movie is not perfect. Cringe worthy dialogue is the biggest problem with this movie. A little too much is focused on anikan and padmeas relationship. It distracts from a well put together story with historical and religious undertones brilliantly weaved into the **** action is alot of fun and the light saber fight's are well choreographed. So in short a brilliant well told story and great acting from the supporting cast is overshadowed by stilted dialogue and a cringworthy romance but this movie luckily is not unwatchable unlike the phantom menace

This movie was a cute movie. It was no masterpiece by any means but all it really wanted to be was a cute and sometimes sad family movie. I really connected with the dog owners and the lives the dog had to go through as I used to have a dog myself. Why am I rating it so low then you might be asking. Well I know this movie was never trying to crate a masterpiece and be family friendly but just because a movie is meant for kids does not make it excusable to not have tried to take risks. This movie played it way too safe. Movies are about creating intriguing art. This movie while cute and if I wanted to watch a movie on a Friday night this would be serviceable.Overall If your looking for a cute family movie to watch on a Friday night that is not Oscar worthy and simple this is the movie for you

So Going into this movie I saw it get a lot of flank. I thought poor film it really cant be that bad can it. I understand it was trying to go for a darker feel. Sorta like the dark knight trilogy or man of steel but it really does not work for this type of film. The dark and broodingness of this film only works for so long that after awhile it becomes redundant. I don't know whos idea it was to have the actors play a bunch of emotionless scientists but mo one seemed like they were trying. Take queen amadals's acting from the pequals and multiply it by the entire cast and oh while your at it make the whole film really brooding and emotionless. THat's fan4stic if you have not already seen it. Other problems that plaged this movie was the movies pacing and charcter develpment was really lacking. I found it super weird that they were using many phrases that the fantastic four uses as punch lines which was really weird. If i had to find something positive to say about this movie it is that this movie is bearable all the way until reed Richards reaches the Baxter building. That is where it all falls apart. Oh they got Dr.doom completely wrong too. I don't know who ever thought this abomination of movie would be a great idea. Guys stay away from this movie at all possible costs.

I Love star wars. It's been a crucial part of my childhood and beyond. I fondly remember watching the prequels and thinking they were gods of a movie. It's not so much the case today. The thing about the phantom meance is Geroge lucas is a great story teller. He has some excellent ideas that made the foundations of the story great but it was just executed very poorly. Too much exposition, Jar Jar, whoever thought he would make a great general? weird stereotyping in the voices, wooden acting all across the board. Seriously queen admadala barley cracks a smile and the way she delivers her lines make me want to go to sleep. The only good thing That makes this a 3 is the lifghsaber fight plus as I mentioned before the great outlying of the story. I think George lucas is a great story teller but he can't put his thoughts into action and make it a great movie. That's why the original trilogy was so good. Even though he inly made one star wars movie he wrote the story for all 3 and they were fantastic. I admire George lucas. I feel bad as he had to prepare for alot of backlash sense episode 1 and even if he is not a perfect director I thank him wholeheartedly for bringing star wars into my life and I am glad he was able to share it with his vision. all I have left to say is thank you lucas for not ruining my childhood but creating it.

I am not one for romance movies but by god was this a fantastic movie. I loved the characters of Emma stone and Ryan gosling. They felt real. Relatable in the sense that they are two ordinary joe's wanting to pursue what they love but struggle at. The camera work and dancing were all fantastic as well. especially at the end which I will not spoil but you should see it for yourself. I love musicals and i love jazz music so naturally i was going to like this movie and i did. The trailers were so bad at advertising for this movie. I highly recommend this movie for anyone looking for a good romance movie with two leads that have fantastic chemistry. I will be so mad if this movie does not win an Oscar of some sort.

I have not seen the previous Jack Reacher but I know tom cruise is a great action star when given a great script. He was excellent in the mission impossible movies but not so much in this one. Just like Jason bourne the action is excellent for the most part and the villain unlike Jason bourne is pretty good and the action set pieces were very good. but one of the things that make this forgettable is the girl who is supposed to be his daughter that jack does not know about. she is very forgettable and does not add much too the chemistry of the actors. It is also very formulaic playing with many of the action movie stereotypes we have seen before. Even though Tom cruise is pretty good in this role he is much better in the mission impossible movie and I left the theater very disappointed. This movie had the potential to be good but was not

I was expecting to enjoy this movie a little more than I thought I would. The comedy was sort of there but fell flat 90% of the time. The action sequences were ok but the villain was utterly forgettable. In addition you could see that the rock and Kevin hart were trying to have chemistry together but it just was not there. I would pass on this movie

So I like action movies. I have never seen a Jason bourne movie leading up to this one so I could not say if it was good compared to the other Jason bourne movies. I can say however that it was just an ok action movie. The acting is great but what kills this movie is tat it opens with a fantastic action set set in Greece. Then the movie has no idea where it is going after that. The action is there but not a good story. I have seen worse but i have also seen better action movies.

I have not watched the star trek movies in a very long time so i am no Trekkie. However I do remember bits and pieces. For the third entry into the rebooted star trek cannon this was very good. It does not come close to the excellent film that was the first but then again isn't the first always the best one?. Anyway I enjoyed the mix of tons of action, humor and heart Justin lin brought to this movie. Chris pine proves once again he is a great James t Kirk. He is not as demanding as william shatner from what i can rember he still is great. Some of the standouts through is Karl urban as bones and Simon Pegg as Scotty. I also enjoyed the addition of jala. I thought she was super cool and i would like to see more of her character. A few small gripes i have are the villain is about as generic as can get. I mean whats up with Hollywood and generic villains. I felt that zachary quinto didn't brought a little more humor to his character than i would have liked he was still good as always though, Also The twist near the end where the villains revels his motivations are about as bland as they come. Still This movies is worth watching and is much better than into darkness which was not bad it still pares in comparison to this one and the first.

I definitely enjoyed this one a lot more than i thought in fact it does not deserve a 6 rather a 6.5 but sense metacrtic won't let me do that oh well. Every character was well voiced.. Thats one of the things great animated movies bring is well voiced characters. There was a funny nod to musical theater fans as well as few laugh out load moments. The climax will definitely make you cry and this movie is definitely illuminations best sense despicable me. The film does suffer from an uneven story focusing on max and the big does relationship, finding there way back home and a rabbit planning an uprising against all happily owned pet owners.I could have gone with just a buddy comedy type movie. This movie was good not as good as finding dory or even star trek but this film made me restore faith in illumination studios. lets hope sing is not a total dud

A good try to tranlate this movie back onto the sliver screen. While the movie is not quite the train wreck most are making it out to be it is not perfect either. The girl who plays annie actually does a decent job and is prably the best part of this movie. I appreciate them trying to make a slightly a new idea of the beloved musical. However It's medicorly executed. They could have done without the auto tune but I see there trying to market toward younger people who might not be familiar with annie. Cameron diez did a horrible job as ms.hannigan. Some of the songs are good like I don't need anything but you and easy street. Overall this is just an ok adaptation of the beloved musical however if you want a good musical movie go see les miserables Chicago or into the woods

As you may know from looking at my old reviews I have really enjoyed the hobbit movies. While the first was not perfect in terms of pacing it also had some unnecessary scenes like the rock fight for example it was an enjoyable from start to finish and while the second improved on pacing and was darker than the last the laketown politics put the movies pace to an annoying halt and kinda kept it from being perfect. It was not completely unnecessary to a certain extent but could have been shorter. The hobbit battle of the five armies is not a perfect but fairly satisfying conclusion to the hobbit trilogy. Lets start with the positives. The big action sequence was fun to watch. Martin freeman as always shines as Bilbo and we finally get to say good bye to Alfred. He was annoying. Gandalf shines like he always does and the dwarfs are fun to watch. The scene where smaug is destroying laketown was well done and is one of the best parts of this film. However the scene where legleos is defying gravity all I could was why peter Jackson must you do this why. Also were supposed to feel for touriel once her "love" dies but we don't because that stupid love story was completely underdeveloped. The movies run time also prevented this movie from being even more satisfying and epic than it came out to be. If it was about on par with the rest I think it would have been better. That's why you need to watch the extended addition it feels like a much more complete end to the hobbit films. This movie feels like Jackson just wanted to end the hobbit films. It is nowhere near as bad as the critics are making it out to be and feels pretty satisfying but nowhere near as good as the first two and will never feel as satisfying or as epic as the return of the king.

This is not quite as good as finding nemo but Pixar delivers as finding dory is one of the summers best movies. The story follows dory as she struggles to find her mom and dad. We come across many familiar characters such as nemo and marlin the clown fish. This movie is very fast paced and the voice acting is brilliant. Dory manages to make us feel for her while still retaining her sense of humor that makes us love her. Overall I would highly recommend you see this movie

Alright so let me start off by making a confession. I have never seen independence day before so I went into this movie with no expectation whatsoever. This is easily the worst summer movie i have seen so far. I hate popcorn style action flicks like transformers so naturally if i knew that I probably wouldn't have gone to see this but i went with a friend who likes that kind of movie and has seen the first one and he enjoyed it. Jeff goldblum gave the best performance however everyone else felt like they were just there. The guy who plays the doctor felt like the jar jar binks of independence day he was so annoying and contributed some of the worse dialogue of the entire movie. There is a weird subplot with a bunch of kids who lost there mother that I really didn't get or feel for when they were in trouble because it was executed so poorly. So between terrible dialogue bad characters and poor direction makes this the worst summer movie to come out yet

Like many people I am also shocked at how low this movie is being rated. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in those critics heads. . First off Every single character that was not lord asano, Kai, or mizuki that is the witch was really good. You see keanu reeves lord asano and the witch all have something in common. It seems like they could care less. I didn't have a satisfying feeling when either of the villains died because they were not evil enough. The idea of a half breed was interesting but his character did not have enough good backstory to make us care about him. It didn't help keanu reeves's deadpan emotionless acting he brought to the role either. This movie succeeds in incredible cinematography, a compelling story and fantastic and exciting action sequences this defiantly was a lot better than what the critics were making it out to be. It just could have been better if the half breed character was out of the picture and we had more evil villains played by better actors would have made this story about honor friendship and love all the better.

So. This movie is alot like men in black except worse. Literally this is men in black with different actors and a different sense of story. Ryan Reynolds and Jeff bridges have some good chemistry and the whole idea of them having a different idea because they are dead made for a few laugh out load moments. The story is also surprisingly action packed and the action scenes are quite exciting i must admit. however this movie suffers from a horrible, predictable, and cliche story. I could almost predict everything that was going to happen like in the movie San Andreas and that is never a good thing. Haven't the director ever had an original though before? Anyway This movie is a ok one time watch movie but I would never own this one

This was just ok. The acting was slightly below average. I don't like many Christian films but i do have to say this is was one of the better ones. That is not saying much though. You see it was almost like this movies story was a good idea. Yet it was just executed poorly. It's about a man who decides to become a zorrow like figure after discovering an conspiracy plot in the east India trading company. The person playing William Reynolds was the films only good actor other than the actor playing Charlotte holloway. The rest of the cast was as i noted before slightly below average. I know it's low budget but at least they could have tried to make it a bit more exciting and better plotted and also acted. Anyway if you like low budget movies christian films with action you would probably enjoy this but for the movie lover i would say stay away.

Wow what a movie. critics are calling it marvels most mature and thought provoking movie yet and i could not agree more. The whole cast is fantastic. The gigantic battle with all the heroes is exciting and intense. The Russo brothers know how to film action and they made that present in captain america the winter soldier. The humor was sprinkled well throughout and mixed well with the serious tone. There is one gripe i have. That being spider-man. The scene with him and tony stark was funny but i felt he didn't really belong in the story. The actor who played him was not that great and he did not add much to the film. Other than that It was great to see the ever so funny ant-man and the new addition of Chadwick boseman was phanominal as black panther. So great story, drama, and thought provoking themes mixed with intense action make this a must watch

This movie was just bad. Sometimes I like movies that the critics didn't like spectre, parental guidance, cheaper by the dozen 2 etc. but the reviews for this movie completely justify how bad the movie is. I have never played a hitman game before so i had no idea what to expect when going to this movie. The first couple of action scenes and opening are somewhat engaging but after the first action scene every fight after that seemed the same boring and tiresome than the last. It seemed like the director was like you know i don't really care for this movie much so lets make every action scene after this one really forgettable. Don't even get me started on all the horrible slow motion. Zachary quinto plays a terrible villain. rupart wayatt plays a borderline ok/terrible hitman, the women who plays the girl was basically the movies only saving grace and that is not saying much because she is pretty bad. The movie as a whole seems like another Michel bay action movie with no robots and only one dimensional human characters. So i leave you guys with this this movie is just as bad as the critics are suggesting they are not crazy this action movie is boring, generic and totally forgettable.

An incredibly mediocre movie. I am not in any way familiar with the anime dragonball z but just hearing the characters talk made me want to throw up. The interactions between them felt forced and uncomfortable. whoever wrote the movies dialogue should be fired. I understand its a kids movie but why not make it at least somewhat less cringe worthy. The pacing was also way off and just made this a chore to sit through despite it's short run time. The kung fu scenes were entertaining but other than that dragonball z is a horrible mess from start to finish

Halarious emotional and even dark by some standards. Up is not afraid to make us bawl our eyes if it is happy tears or sad tears up has a brilliant voice cast and an coming of ages story that will appeal to nearly everyone. We follow an old man named Carl fredrickson who has been grumpy ever sense his wife died. One day a boy named Russel appears at his door step and through a variety of circumstances that will bring them closer than ever together. This movie is a sheer delight and it's no wonder why it won best picture at the academy awards. The voice actor who voices dug is a pure delight and the rest of the cast is too. Up is not only the perfect family movie one of he most perfect movies ever made. It's fun funny sad and even a little dark but underneath it's sometimes heavy narrative its a really excellent kids movie that will go down in history as a classic

This was a fine production I seem to be in the minority here but here me out. It's Not nearly as bad as critics are making out to be but i do have to agree with them on this movie somewhat. First off Emily russum was very good as Christie she has a wonderful voice. She can act, sing and you can feel her struggle. The costumes are exquisite and sets lavish and beautiful so are the visuals. Patrick Wilson shines as raoul and is a good component emily russom. They are both such good singers. The score is hauntingly beautiful and has now become one of my favorites The beautiful visuals however try to distract the viewer from a lackluster script. The story is fleshed out kinda nicely but the stong visuals distract from creating a even more solid story so you end up being left with a story that doesn't smooth quite as nicely with what the rest of the film has to offer. Aslo Gerald butler was a fantastic actor but not a very good singer. He didn't know how to sing from the begging so that should have been a red flag not to cast him sense the movie is mostly singing. Hugh jackman would have been better after his performance in Les miserables. The rest of the cast did better than butler but worse than Patrick Wilson and Emily russom. So Phantom of the opera is a well acted and mostly well sung with a beautiful and amzing soundtrack, and is alot better than rent or mama mia but worst than into the woods Les miserables or chicago. It isn't bad it just could be better

This movie is alot of fun. Kevin James plays the bumbling mall cope with a sense of likability and love to his daughter. The violence is mostly slapstick and the heist scenes are entertaining. It is not a well made family movie by any means but it is a movie where you shut your brain off for an hour and half and not put too much thought into it. The women i forget her name did a nice job as paul blarts love interest as well. Overall this movie is very entertaining for what the actors were given. It's nothing spectacular that you need to see immediately but still tends to be alot fun.

The first movie was fun but it clearly did not need a sequel. Paul is angrier, not as much fun at all and alot of the jokes are overused. The film gets quite tiresome even with an hour and thirty four minute run time. I felt bad for the daughter because she seemed to get so hammerd by her way too overprotective father. The movie was horribly and is the perfect example of Hollywood being lazy and not caring enough to make a good movie

wow this movie swept me off my feet. What we have here is a superbly acted written and plotted cat and mouse game between a hitman and a cowboy. Everyone here does a great job but hats off to Javier bardem as an original villain with a purpose not to just kill but kill with a purpose. Nothing goes right for any one in this film. All the character meet there fate in some form or another. There is an underlying theme about how nowadays the sheriff ed tom bell the villain and Llewellyn moss might not have a place and have dreams of something different. The ending may leave one frustrated upon fist viewing but once you do your research you will find yourself appreciate it a little more. This film has violence and it is gritty but the coen brothers have decided to favor heavy though provoking themes over the violence which results in a deeply magnificent intelligent cat and mouse thriller across west Texas. Hats off to the coen brothers for making such a great film

Wow what a movie. This movie is a brainy and intelligent blockbuster. This movie explores the growth of a baby chimp born in a lab and how intelligent he gets after a drug was tested to cure Alzheimers. Everyone here does a wonderful job. Andy serkis delivers another great motion capture performance just like he did in king Kong. James Franco especially did a great job as Caesars caretaker. The bond that was developed between them is touching and real. This film ultimately builds up to a action packed and tragic yet heartfelt and touching climax. Then this movie ends with a bam that will leave you speechless. If i had any gripes with this movie it would be that one of the characters did fell unnecessary such as the grumpy next door neighbor. He barley has any lines and serves as just the stereotypical grumpy next door neighbor. Other than that this movie was great

This movie is a fun and fast paced journey through time with two lovable characters Mr.Peabody and Sherman. After the success of the Lego movie i didn't think anything could come close to toppling it. While Mr.Peabody and Sherman is nowhere near as good as the Lego movie the movie is smart funny a lot of fun and fast paced. Ty Burrel makes a excellent Mr.Peabody and Max Charles makes a wonderful Sherman. They take a lot of the dialogue from the original TV show while still making this movie there own. The girl who voiced penny Ariel winter also did a great job. There are a few childish jokes here and there that this movie could have done without and penny went from a bully to no more than a damsel in distress. I wish The movie makers made her more of a strong willed character than a damsel in distress. Despite this Mr.Peabody and Sherman is a wonderful well made kids movie that is different than what Hollywood is offering and trust me you will have a great time

An entertaining and amusing family movie. There are a few good jokes and the acting was good. I don't get the critics hate toward good movies sometimes. This isn't Oscar worthy nor was it ever meant to be. The whole idea of new age parenting styles vs. old school parenting was a very good idea. The kids are good actors and each bring there own unique personality to the role. Billy crystal and bette midler does a great job as the old school grand parents. This movie is not crystals best but he is still good in this. while the whole thing is very predictable and the actors are not given much to work with this movies is a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon type movie that is not anything outstanding but good clean well made family fun that people of all ages are sure to enjoy.

An absolutely mesmerizing film. Very disappointed this was way overlooked at the Oscars. This movie is a statement of how you make a great movie. No overblown explosions with minimal character development transformers. This is a fantastic scifi movie with amazing performances by the human cast and INCREDIBLE performances by it's ape counter part. This movie is not for those who loves a spoon fed action spectacle like transformers or movies with action character development then more action. what this does is slowly builds to a heart wrenching climax while still managing to deliver some of the most beautiful artistic action sequences i have ever seen In this movie we get delivered to some performances by andy serkis who improves upon his last in rise of the planet of the apes. This movies also executes a twist i din't see coming and makes me hate the movies antagonist even more. So if your tired of mind numbing action movies and silly summer spectacles go see this movie you won't be sorry you did

dystopian society movies are interesting. I guess something like this could happen in real life but if so that would be way far into the future. We have seen good dystopian society movies the hunger games catching fire and some bad such as the giver. Divergent is a interesting slow often times boring movie that tries to be like the hunger games but is far less exciting. Shaline woodly delvers the movies best performance as the girl who does not fit into any faction because she is divergent. Kate Winslet delivers a fine performance as the movies main villain. Maybe i was expecting something like the hunger games i don't know what it was but despite the interesting story divergent is a boring lifeless and plotting entry into the dystopian movie cannon that is far better than the giver but inferior the the mostly good hunger games movies.

So I love musicals. They can be a wonderful source of entertainment especially when there are great songs maybe a good message and there just so much fun too watch that being said i was very disappointing with rent. The opening scene is wonderful with the song seasons of love. The idea of a musical about people in an impoverished neighborhood not being able to pay there rent could be an inspiring premise for a musical. However this movie seems to have no sense of direction. They just jump from one musical song to another without much explanation. The music and lyrics were absolutely cringe worthy and the dialogue was clunky. I watched the first hour and then I had to turn it off. It was the longest hour of my life. in the end rent is not for everyone. I can see why some might like it but It didn't seem to have the psychological impact and important message of the musical of into the woods. The empowering message of Les miserables or the razzle dazzle of Chicago. I don't mind operas were there singing there whole way though. I am an absolute fan of Les miserables but this was way more painful to sit though then mama mia and that is saying something. all in all this is the worst muiscal i have ever sat though

Definitely the weakest of trilogy but still fun. I loved going to London and seeing all the new exhibits come to life. sir Lancelot was a treat to watch and was probably one of the best character. we also get a fantastically developed back story to the tablet. This movie takes alot of inspiration for the first. For example back is the party scene at the end we get more of robin Williams as teddy Roosevelt more rexy once again because teddy Roosevelt travels with him to London. The action once again is fun and Hugh jack man makes a hilarious cameo. **** van dyke comes back after being absent in the first movie for a short but worth while scene which adds some back story to the tablet. Speaking of which when there were flashbacks to the tablet the ancient Egypt scene were effective and although they were extras no white washing. Micky roony **** van dyke and bill cobs come back briefly but it was good to see them again. Ricky Jarvais as always does great as Larry daily's sassy boss. What keeps this movie from being great are a couple of things. While not completely gone gone is mostly the smart humor Ben stiller seems more grumpy than in the previous too which i didn't like. Russel Wilson as the night guard lady was OK but not the best. Also any scene with laa was not done very well. I understand he was the comic relief but he was not very good but i see it was defiantly a character geared more toward kids. The father son relationship sub plot was completely under developed and didn't add much to the movie. However even with these flaw the movie still maintained the joy the others brought in a fantastic last performance from Robin Williams and mickey roony keeps this movie as one of the weakest yet still enjoyable and a surprisingly satisfying ending to the trilogy films

A movie that beats it's predecessor. It takes everything that makes the first so great and makes it even better. More of the fantastic humor and sometimes it's even better humor than the first and new comer hank azaria brings a charming yet deliciously fun evil role to the pharaoh. Some new comers who also shine are Amy Adams as amilia earheart. The one thing i didn't like is robin Williams did not get as much screen time as i would have liked him too same goes with mizuo peck as Sacajawea. Other than that this film was a great fun and was surprised about how good it was especially at number 2.

An incredibly fun family treat. While it starts off slow it quickly picks up and ben stiller brings his irresistible charm to the role of Larry daily a laid off dad who lives with his wife and son nicky. The sequences when the museum exhibits come to life were so much fun and robin Williams shines as teddy roosevelt. The four old night guards **** van dyke micky rooney and bill cobbs are wonderful as the old night guards. The entire cast delivers in a family fim that has heart great comedic bits a fantastic cast and a really fun performance by Ben stiller himself makes this one a keeper

The first movie was passable yet mediocre kids entertainment. The second movie is so much worse. There given an even worse script this time. how could this be rated higher than the smurfs which is while not far better is just a generally better acted and paced movie overall. Gone is the sometimes funny antics of gargamels cat, gone is neil patricks harris good acting skills gone is the bumbling yet evil wizard garagmel. Now he is just bumbling and not very evil. once again smurfette is an annoying damsel in distress and were stuck with two horribly portrayed smurf creations. The people behind the making of this were clearly not even trying to make a good movie. Everyone took 3 giant steps back from the last movie. What a forgettable and lame excuse for a children's movie

This movie is not quite bad as i thought it was going to be however it's not a good family movie by any means. You can't help but feel bad for these actors because they tried so hard for this movie to be good. In fact it's like your given a lousy script but your acting is fairly well done they almost wanted to hide the horribleness of the script. Garagamel was way more evil than bumbling in this movie which i appreciate and neil patrick harris put on a fine performance and the actor voicing papa smurf was better than the rest of the voice cast for the smurfs. Kids will be delighted but adults will be less than thrilled. This movie is borderline mediocre. It's not horrible it's just not very good either.

Never have I been so wowd at a movie production of such a beloved musical. Now I like musicals and musical movies. There have been some bad, mamma mia rent high school musical and a few others. Man I went into this movie so cold mr. freeze wouldn't have been able to survive in the arctic and this movie lifted me off of my feet. This movie however has no flaws and the director is brilliantly able create a bunch of fantastic flashy show stopping numbers while simultaneously pairing a duo of Oscar winning performances by the two main characters and a bunch of songs that will be stuck in your head from the begging to the moment you finish this movie makes this a perfect 10 in every way. Now i just need to see this on broadway

While not for everyone les miserables is sure to delight musical theater fans. The story has barley any dialogue and is mostly singing but that is how it was made from the begging. I love reading all the one star reviews. One review said and I quote "I went int this movie with have never seeing the play or knowing the source material and all I can see is this movie is the worst I have seen" Of course it's the worst because you had no idea what to expect. ughh some people. Anyway the whole cast is fantastic and my favorite part is the confrontation. The sword play and intense singing are just the perfect match. The one problem I had with this is that there are a couple points in the plot that don't exactly weave together well. With that being said the story about the human spirit should for sure empower us movie goers. Les miserables is everything I could want as a fan of the musical. While a nice and refreshing take on the old wizard of oz story however it comes off as underwhelming. It's much darker than the movie it is based on and While i kinda liked James Franco as oz he has done much better movies. The whole cast was a disappointment the only few that really shined was mila kunis as the wicked witch of the west finely the monkey. The doll creature was annoying as heck. The visuals were fantastic though this movie should definitely win an Oscar for best cinematography. also I loved the new flying monkey look. It was creepy and breathed new life into the cheesy winged monkeys of 1950? was it? IDK anyway This was a underwhelming and mediocre take on the wizard of oz story

I generally don't like faith based movie. The only one i really enjoyed was evan almighty. Anyway this movie is pretty terrible. Everyone feels pretty wooden when they were acting and I ended up turning this movie off because it was so bad. Nicholas's cages only decent movie was the first national treasure movie. The whole idea of everyone disappearing because god is angry at them it just felt really silly and i don'think i will be watching this movie ever again

A improvement over a very good first movie. Here the pacing issues have been mostly fixed martin freeman shines once again as the titular hobbit. This movie is much faster paced and darker than the first. We finally get to see smaug who is terrifically voiced by Benedict cumberbatch. He and our hero exchange some clever word play. We get introduced to legleos more nods to the previous lord of the rings movies. We also get introduced to a new cast member and her name is tourial and she is a bad ass. With it's pacing issues mostly fixed i found The love story stupid and unnecessary also the laketown politics should have been cut down significantly. The fact that some of the characters in laketown were annoying ahem Alfred did not help either. Other than that The second movie returns with what you love elves, wizards men legeos giant spider battles the necromancer and a brilliant finale battle with smaug the terrible. This movie is a bit of a improvement over the first but with an unnecessary love story and laketown politics that seem to drag on forever keeps this movie from being great.

A prime example of why critics can be stupid sometimes. I have read parts of the book and I don't get why people are making such a big fuss about the book to movie adaptation. Some of the lines and scenes are taking straight from the book. Martin freeman is brilliant playing bilbo baggins and just like the LOTR there are some very good flash back sequences. The dwarfs were a good combination of funny and brutish. Bilobos game of riddles with gullom was one of the best parts of the movie and Ian mckellan does very good as gandalf. Now the pacing could have been better and the first 45 minutes with the dwarfs were entertaining but could have been cut down. Plus The scene with the stone giants was cool but I felt it had no part in the movie and peter jack son just added it in for the spectacle. Also The scenes with radagast did not feel like they belonged in the movie and sorta slowed the movie down. Overall while not a perfect book to movie adaptation the hobbit and unexpected journey is very entertaining and better than what the critics are making out to be.

An amazing movie experience that proves Disney can still make great movies. A terrifically voiced cast with a bunch of social political undertones that never feel overbearing. The deeper themes cover topics such as race white supremacy and the war on drugs. Sounds too deep never fear my fellow movie goers these messages are done in an subtle yet noticeable if you think about it and will go over your little ones head. The voice cast is absolutely brilliant and this movie incorporates sable yet often hilarious pop culture references that is well done. So with a brilliant voice cast an incredibly well flesh out story and genuinely funny moments that don't rely on potty humor to be funny zootopia is a treat for the young old and young at heart

I May get some hate for this but I thought Thor the dark world belongs on marvels mediocre list. It was good just not great. I thought this one had more exciting action but the first had a better story and acting. Also the plot had little explanation and lots of sub oar dialogue. Tom hiddlstons loki was very good as usual however the villain was incredibly one dimensional. The human cast took a giant step back and was not very good unlike the last one but Thor reprises his role very well. This movie is not a train wreck but very forgettable and overall i disliked it more than i thought it was.

An absoluly awful musical one of the worst. Maybe this type of movie is not my type of musical but there are so many other better movies than this crap fest. The songs are catchy but the acting and story are absolutely horrendous. Pierce broson and the rest of his merry men no joke there pretty merry are all very bad and while meryl streep was ok and so was the lead her friends were so cringe worthy to watch. I can name 3 musicals that are more entertaining than this into the woods chicago and les miserable. Les mis is not quite as a miserable movie going experience as this is. If you want to see a good musical go see the ones listed above otherwise stay clear.

This is a very good adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's original musical. I am very familiar with the stage play and this movie mostly stay's faithful to it's source material but some of the songs I would have liked to included were not. Meryl Streep does a great job as the witch and let me just tell you that this is NOT a children's musical. The moral of the musical is be careful of the things you wish for because not everything becomes happily ever after. The singing and acting is fantastic and this is definitely while not perfect this is for sure one of the better movie musical adaptations I have seen with a fantastic and very real message.

A fantastic and entertaining movie. The movie opens with a smooth and jazzy song from Roberta flack and you know your in for a good time. This movies story is very simple and we have seen it many times before. A bad guy has a nuclear bomb and he wants to blow up to world and two mis matched spies have to work together to save man kind. Have you seen this kind of movie before yes you have. Guy richie is one one my favorite directorrs and while this movie could have been more original guy ritchie ozzes his signature style to make this movie something we have seen before into something that feels new. I appreciate that. Armie hammer and Henry cavil have fantastic chemistry together and each deliver playful and funny banter throughout as they try to one up another.Alicia Vikander was very good as Illya Kuryakin's 'wife." I really liked this movie a lot despite what critics are saying. Go check this one out. It's not terribly original but guy Richie breaths new life into this overdone plot with split screen action, vintage cars, jazz music and beautiful 1960's style costumes and very good acting by cast makes this a must watch.

A ok movie but marvel has done way better. Iron man 3 proves that marvel is not perfect. While a vast improvement over the second fim this movie delivers big on the action spectacle but falls short on expanding upon tony starks probelms. While the mandarin was cool the plot twist was so poorly exacted. I know marvel is way better than this. As usual the guy who played the actual villain put on an incredibly uninspired performance. However iron man as i have mention before succeeds on the action front tony stark is great as iron man as always and gewneth paltrow is good as pepper potts. At the end of the day though Iron man 3 unfortunately falls short of marvels greatest films
