Overall, the game is fantastic. It’s fun for solo play and is even better when working in co-op. I’ve poured hours into the game and have still not completed every possible task available. There’s so much replayability and it’ll have you craving for more Yo-kai madness… or maybe a Yo-kai is making you think that. Regardless, the game is definitely fantastic and I’d highly recommend adding it to your 3DS’s library.

While its rinse and repeat Diablo-lite gameplay can get a little repetitive after extended play, there’s no denying how much fun it is to return to the world of Yo-kai Watch. Whether playing solo or via local or online co-op, Level-5 has taken all the hallmarks of the series and made it even more accessible to newcomers and seasoned monster hunters. A fine way to see off the series on 3DS, and proof the Yo-Kai series is strong enough to tweak its formula with a spin-off and still maintain that quintessential Japanese magic.

The best game I've ever played. The game is amazing especially when played online. i spend so much time on this game and there are still so many things for me to do that i haven't do yet but i don't mind spending more of my free time playing this amazing game and progress further.

A good RPG game that, despite its lack of depth in gameplay and simplicity in his history, keeps entertaining with its fun characters.

Watch Blasters has some good ideas, but it ends up feeling repetitive and wearing out a concept that could’ve pushed the series a little but further.

Each of the ten chapters has a storyline that somewhat overlaps with numerical Yo-Kai’s. But whatever the plot reason is, in the end you’ll find yourself plowing through enemies using the same two basic attacks. It’s a grind game, plain and simple – and an uninspired one at that. [Issue#234, p.58]

The game looks fantastic and has an excellent localization, but the lackluster and repetitive combat hold it back from being anything more than run-of-the-mill.

It’s a shame but Yo-Kai watch Blasters could have been a good game, but it’s let down by a lack of variety in what it offers in itself and against its predecessors.

This game is awesome. The multiplayer and bosses make this game so good. Most characters balanced and fair. Story cut scenes and music are great. Graphics good. For a spinoff this is a very good game.

I was going to rate this game favorably. The story is basic, the combat is basic, but the fact that it's hard can be fun, until you get into the post game. At that point your AI allies become useless, you can't get enough Oni orbs to level anyone up without grinding for hours on your own, and trying to battle with people online is mess. If you are too low compared to others ranks, you get booted almost right away, and when you get in a room with people in a similar rank, they try to do missions they can't accomplish, and so you end up wasting time. The post-game content is easily the most inaccessible in the series so far, and the fact that there is such a huge climb to try and get to it, ruins the entire experience, which is already average anyways. There should have been a way to get enough Oni orbs through QR codes, passwords or anything, but pretty much all you get are coins. The grind ends up feeling like a mobile game kind of grind, without the option to speed it up. It's not fun, at all.

Boring, bad, lame, soporific... too many words to describe the scam behind this game. Yo-Kai Watch 3 has a similar mode that's better made... this game is a disgrace like Real Madrid vs Bayern in 2017.
